Normally one quick trip through a drive thru wouldn't gather enough info to warrant a review on a place but I've got to spread the good word about Geist Coffee! The girl that helped me at the drive up was so bubbly in such a way I couldn't help but match it! She helped me choose a cold coffee item as there is no menu board outside. The nitro cold brew is fantastic!! It is so bold but so smooth. I'm not out this way often but I will certainly stop next time I am! At the time of this review, the inside could be closed due to covid-19 restrictions? Not sure. There is a big sign out from telling where to access the drive thru. read more

You can find this coffee house bustling on a sunny weekend in the summer. Nestled in an unassuming strip center in Geist, this cafe boasts a great menu with something for everyone! The interior is basically all wood, and it's very warm and inviting. There's plenty of outside seating with a big tree for shade. They have cold brew and nitro cold brew! Many times they have specialty drinks. On this particular weekend they had a coconut cold brew. I was lucky enough for them to bring out 3 huge blueberry muffins they had stashed away after the crowd bought up the rest! My husband had a flying pig sandwich with bacon, cheese, ham, and some other amazing options on an everything bagel. There is a drive-thru, but it's all the way around back. If you know where to go, that can save you time. They also have some sandwiches for lunch as well. Kombucha fan? They have Circle Kombucha here too. I adored the atmosphere here, from the fireplace to the wood beams and comfortable seating, it is inviting and feels more like home than a chic industrial cafe. There is plenty of seating and wifi available. It's be a great place to work out of. Using Hubbard & Cavern beans, they have a variety of drink options including several latte options. Their sugar-free options include vanilla and caramel. I had a sugar-free Camilla latte. The barista was friendly and helpful to me as a first time customer. What a cute little place!! During our Christmas trip this place quickly became our daily stop! The inside is warm and cozy - plenty of places to sit and relax and have a great conversation. There are oversized chairs and tables in larger and smaller groups. They've done a great job of keeping the "Cozy" vibe while still taking COVID precautions. (Masks, hand sanitizer, social distancing). The menu is huge - multiple options for food and drink. The best part is the SUPER friendly staff. Not OVERLY friendly, more like hanging out with a good friend friendly. The baristas offered great suggestions, but didn't push anything. Oh - and the coffee? Delicious! My daughter enjoyed the Chia Latte, and I loved my Mochas. If you're nearby, it's worth stopping! read more

Geist Coffee smells amazing when you walk in the door. This is a great place for a small bite and a hot beverage. I'm not a coffee fan but they make really good chai lattes and hot chocolate. I love to meet friends here and curl up in a comfy corner or by the fireplace for a good visit. Wow!! What great and friendly owners!! The staff were extremely nice and gave great suggestions when talking about what to order. They are very knowledgeable about their menu and it truly showed! It was rather busy for a Tuesday morning when I came in and they were still so nice and attentive. I ordered decaf coffee with a splash of almond milk, and my friend ordered a latte. They were both incredible. They have very very good coffee, I would be intrigued to try some of their food! (They only serve food until 3pm, by the way). I look forward to returning to this local coffee shop, especially to grab a cup of coffee and get some homework done! Love getting a coffee here while on the north side. I usually get the naranja with dark chocolate syrup, it SO good! We've also tried seasonal specials and have never had one we didn't like. First I just want to say I love Geist Coffee! It is near our house, one of our favorite spots. I love the ambiance, the staff is great, and the patio under the big tree is so pleasant when it's nice out. I have to say though, the prices are getting too high for me. I paid almost $8 for one small latte. That just seems crazy to me. Not a reasonable price for one drink. Unfortunately for me that means I won't be stopping in as much. read more

Such a pleasant surprise! I was looking for a mom & pop coffee shop in the area and decided to stop by for a light breakfast and a coffee. It didn't look like much from the outside, but the inside was warm and inviting, giving me heavy Caribou Coffee vibes. I opted for an americano, my go-to. My boyfriend got a cappuccino. Both were excellent and piping hot. We also sampled the bagel sandwiches, which were awesome. I got avocado, egg, and gouda on everything and bf got bacon, egg, and gouda on asiago. So so so fresh!!! The bagels were pillow-soft and toasted ever so slightly...very NY-style. And there were so many options for toppings. Super unexpected from a coffee shop. I ended up calling to ask where they get their bagels. Unfortunately for me, they are from a high-quality Chicago-based baked goods distributor and can't be purchased locally. Fortunately for me, the gentleman I spoke to was nice enough to give me some local bagel recs! read more

Geist Coffee does it right! They have delicious and unique lattes. A good selection of tea lattes. And a wide variety of food options! Breakfast sandwiches and bagels. One of my favorite lattes is the Naranja Blanco. It's orange, white mocha, and cayenne. It's amazing! The owners are wonderful people!! I feel so good supporting their business. And the staff are all helpful and pleasant. The inside is cozy. There are comfy chairs and couches. And also tables and bar seat lap top tables. It's a great place to meet people or work. They also have a drive thru! Which is so convenient for me since I have small children. If you haven't tried Geist coffee yet I highly recommend you do! read more

Such a cute little coffee shop! I didn't know it existed til I moved a couple miles from it. They have an awesome selection of coffee drinks and special rotating ones as well. There's this drink right now called a cubed cappuccino which is an ice cappuccino that has ice cubes made of cold brew. It's smooth and has creamy foam at the top which is delicious. It's served warmed but the cold brew ice cubes melt quickly make it a cold drink. Such an interesting concept! Also they're breakfast sandwiches are quite yummy. I usually get the bacon, egg, and cheese which is always good. Besides the coffee and food, it has a nice, spacious atmosphere perfect for reading or doing work. It even has games if you would like to play something. Going even further, all the workers are super nice. I can't really think of what else you need in a coffee shop. read more
