Their pizza is amazing and a fair price especially for the excellent quality. I would gladly recommend this place.

I'm a fairly new San Diego transplant from the San Francisco Bay Area, which is an epicenter for incredible food. San Diego has never compared to offering above "Good", and even at "Good" it's been a few restaurants that will make you smile. But ...but ...Gelati & Peccati, is a new Encinitas casual restaurant who blew my mind. They serve some of the BEST Pizzas I have ever tasted ! I can't stop paying them a visit, as not to only view their 20+ Pizza varieties, but to test each one. The flavor is over the top that will test your taste buds. I went from Pizza once a month to Pizza once a week, ALL because of Gelati & Peccati. I hope you agree, you can only agree or disagree by trying them out ! read more

The Roman style pizza is excellent. It's sold by the slice and all of the choices are exceptional. We've really stopped eating pizza from the other local restaurants. The new "pizza sandwiches" are also out-of-the-world delicious. I had porchetta, tomato and arugula on "white pizza" (crispy pizza dough and olive oil). We've only had an "American" type sandwich from the grill once and it was also very good with fresh, hot fries. We've eaten here numerous times and it's been consistently delicious. read more

Came here for a quick dessert and was pleasantly surprised of how yummy the gelato was. I ordered the cookie caramel (I think that was the exact name). Went there for the first time, it will be my last. The pizza slices in the counter sit out all day under no refrigeration. We ordered a few of the slices along with a 12' meat lovers pizza. The pizza is pretty bad. Not only is it all dough, they burnt 2 of the slices and when my daughter went up to tell them they really didn't care. Just a couple of young girls running the place. My daughter then asked them for a 12" pizza and they charged her full price after they burnt the original slice. (They could have at least credited her back on the slices they burnt). The place was empty. We sat on the gelato side which had no lights over the gelato, so we thought no one was serving it. Then 2 of the employees went back and helped themselves to a few tasters. The cashier must have been leaving so she grabbed a whole gelato bowl. The ambiance was not what we expected nor was the food any good. We had 5 adults and 3 kids. Not worth the price. We should have gone elsewhere where. Live and learn! read more

I came in with my family & had the worst experience, after coming to this establishment often & spent plenty of money here. I must share this as being a local in the community of 36 years. We walked into the restaurant straight to the bathroom as my 6 year old needed to go to the restroom. The manager stopped us to ensure that we were going to order food before we used the bathroom & would have kicked us out if we would have informed him we just needed the restroom . Very disappointing for a place that is deep in the community. As we came out of the bathroom he proceeded to be rude and not even apologize for the rude comment he made or offering us any sort of anything to remedy what happened. We ordered lunch from the kind boy behind the counter, GRADY who was very kind and said how sorry he was to witness that.. we happily enjoyed the delicious pizza outside of the restaurant. read more

An absolutely huge asset to Encinitas. In the location of the old Angelo's drive-through which was filled with flies now stands GP Diner which offers brilliant pizza with whole anchovies, a very popular ice cream and gelato area, an excellent coffee bar and more, all staffed by friendly people. It was packed on the Saturday evening I was there, so I couldn't even get to all of the stations to see everything, but you can be sure I'll be back. Loved the energy here. read more

The pizza I received lacked flavor and had a doughy texture. The customer service provided by Zeki was unsatisfactory. When asking Zeki about the vegetarian pizza options, he responded rudely and with much attitude. Zeki's behavior was observed not only in my interaction but also in his dealings with other customers. Despite the quality of the pizza, the overall experience was diminished by the poor customer service received by Zeki. I trust that this feedback will be considered constructively by the management for future improvements. read more

Extremely hospitable staff + delicious food + immaculate vibes...what more can you ask for??? Me and 2 of my friends were riding motorcycles down the 101 and we were looking for a place to eat. We pulled over near this place and decided to pop in to look at the menu. And this place had everything we were looking for (Lunch, Desert, and Coffee) so we sat down. The Lunch was absolutely phenomenal, I got the Pesto Benedict (and it was actually my first time having a Benedict) and I was thoroughly impressed by how everything blended together. A culinary masterpiece. For desert, we got the Bourbon + Pistacio/Saffron Gelato. I highly recommend these 2 flavors as well. To say the establishment's decor and design were fantastic are an understatement. I loved the wallpaper in the Gelato room, and the overall vintage diner aesthetic. I typically do not write reviews on Yelp, but what really got me to write this review were Zicky and Giorgio. Both members of the staff were extremely welcoming and hosted us well. I don't think me and my friends have been treated better anywhere else. Safe to say, we will be returning hungry for more. read more

This is low-key (not yet "discovered") and absolutely gourmet. The Italian chefs embody the culture and excellence of Italian cuisine and also have great American favorites like corn pancakes (gluten free if you want) and eggs Benedict to wow the taste buds. HIGHLY recommended! read more

Loved the pizza and ice cream... this wonderful place has soul, good vibes and amazing food.

Was going to try this place for the first time and Zeki (pictured) was screaming at a younger female employee and treating her disrespectfully in front of multiple customers. A few customers stepped in to let him know that's not okay to talk to her like that and he had the excuse that it was busy and he can talk to her how he wants and that we were not there for the previous conversation. You can tell how uncomfortable he made the female employee. He continued to then yell at customers who were trying to stand up for this young employee. Then the manager came around and Zeki then asked those around to prove that he was not yelling and no one could. This place is a mess. We obviously never ended up ordering and will not be coming back to try. Don't treat your employees like that. Would no stars if possible, the young girl went to the back crying. read more

I'm not normally a person to leave bad reviews! I've worked in the service industry and am super understanding! But this was super disappointing. Came in at 8:30 and it was relatively busy, ordered four slices of pizza. The pizza came out and was cold, didn't seem to have been warmed up. No worries it happens, brought it up to an employee apologetically only to be met with rudeness about it being brought back, no apology or recognition. Waited ten minutes for my pizza to be warned up, and they only gave me 2/4 pieces. He said he couldn't warm the second two pieces because they each had a bite taken out of them (how we could tell it was cold). Uh...I paid for it! Service is just terrible and disappointing. Was going to get gelato here tonight, but opted not to because of service, too many options around here to go somewhere with lousy service. And it's dirty in here and no one is following health codes. read more

weirddddd vibe. immediately walking in we noticed a girl heating pizza with her long hair out, touching the pizza!! we came in to get 4 "slices" (8 pieces) of pizza. but they all came out so cold! we asked to get it reheated, and another girl there gave us so much attitude. i understand it's an inconvenience, but for that price it should definitely be warm! when they finally brought it back out to us, we were missing a whole slice (two pieces). i had to go up and remind them about it!! the girl had nothing behind her eyes. the guy said he would bring it out to us.... and we're still waiting. lots of staff but none of them actually working. we came to get gelato too, but now refuse to give them more business! so sad considering it's good food. just god awful service. read more

If you are looking at reviews trying to decide what pizza place to go to, then try this place. The pizza was delicious. This is not a New York style slice of pizza and there is nothing wrong with that. This is the kind of pizza my Italian friends mom would make at home. Even though it is thick it is still lite and crispy. There were so many unique options. I went with pepperoni and the Ira. They were so good I keep thinking about this pizza. We walk by this place frequently whenever exploring downtown Encinitas and I'm sorry to say I had no idea they have a full menu until today! The availability of great pizza, coffee and gelato is clear because it faces the street, but apparently they have great burgers and other items if you sit down in the back too. We always get coffee (at minimum) and everyone is so very helpful and friendly here -- always thanking us for coming in. And clearly the owners/employees come straight from Italy so the food is very high quality and authentic. We'll be back soon to try something off the full menu! read more
