I just found out about this place and I really liked it. Service is great. I personally would prefer it if orders were taken at the table because the menu is so big that when you order as you walk in you don't have much time to think about what you want to get. I ordered the chicken pesto, it was really good, the chicken was nicely seasoned and the cheesy bread was crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. I can't wait to come back and try something else. I already told all my friends about this place. Two thumbs up!! read more

I found this place while driving around looking for a place to eat breakfast for myself and my toddler who doesn't like waiting long . I noticed there was no wait and the food looked good so I came to try it . One thing I highly dislike is the fact that they had NO kids menu . No idea why when they have nesquik Chocolate milk as a drink option. The prices were high and knowing my son doesn't finish an entire meal himself I bought only one combo which didn't include a drink. So with that being said my total for my meal an orange juice and a chocolate milk was 25.50. The food was good,the environment was nice but no waiters almost like a fast food place but with restaurant prices . read more

Have been here a few times and every plate we have eaten has been wonderful! The owner comes out to greet his customers and always offers us a cup of his homemade soup which is just superb. Definitely recommend and will be back to eat some more delightful food. read more

First time here. Found this gem off Yelp and it did not disappoint! The owner knows how to serve delicious food! I was craving breakfast and my French toast combo was excellent! My son had the crispy chicken waffle sandwich and it looked great and he said it was really good. My daughter in love had the biscuits and gravy and I tried it as well -so flavorful!!! So do yourselves a favor and pay patronage to this local establishment! For those that remember the movie "Blood in, Blood out" he has a lot of movie memorabilia as decor so that was pretty cool as well! read more

My husband & I have been visiting my Dad at Queen of the Valley Hospital down the street for 2 weeks & we needed a change. I looked on Yelp and found George's Cafe. The Onion rings were fantastic. The food was good. They have skinny French Fries, Not a fan but took then to my Mom for a snack. My Husband had Buscuits & Gravey with Eggs, Potatoes & Bacon. He loved everything. I would recommend this restaurant. We sat outside in there covered we decorated patio area. It was so relaxing. Thank you George. Great Customer Service. read more

Was looking for a place for breakfast and George's came up. The place is very hole-in-the-wall, you can easily drive past it if you're not paying attention. When we walked in the door, the menu was plenty and gave a lot of options! We placed our order and decided to eat in the patio area. Looking around, we heard music playing and it was a vibrant and giving old-school vibes with music to match While waiting for our food, we got a chance to talk to the owner and he explained the culture of the restaurant and his culinary experience and future plans. Can't wait where to see where this business goes in the future!! We'll definitely be back here!! Totally worth the 5 stars! read more

$40 for 2 mediocre breakfasts and one (bottled) OJ! That is criminal. No hashbrowns, they only serve dry chopped potatoes on the side, country steak comes with a disgusting sickly parsely butter slop with a few microscopic crumbs of sausage! That is NOT country gravy, amigos! We were in the area and wanted a greasy spoon diner breakfast. Huge mistake. read more

This place is truly amazing. The ambiance and the vibe is so awesome. The food is beyond incredible and the potatoes are the best potatoes I've ever had. I was unsure of this spot since it's in a random location but I am so glad I finally did go! Super quick service. I had my food at the table in less than 15 minutes. The Philly Cheesesteak was HUGE! There was a ton of meat along with onion, bell peppers, and cheese. The bread was toasted perfectly too. I had it with a side of fries. The fries were also great! A little too much salt but that might just be me. Gave me a side of good quality ranch which was great pairing with the fries. Can't wait to come again and try other things! read more

I first Gorges cafe on yelp when just on a look out for breakfast restaurants one Sunday morning with my wifey. Georges cafe pops up as one of the top 3 choices to grub on in the West Covina area. So we decided to head there after seeing the food pictures on the app. Looked promising! When we arrived it didn't look like much but to our surprise, this hole-in-the-wall was the best move we made for that Sunday morning! I got the ultimate breakfast burrito add avocado and it was to die for! As a self certified breakfast lover I could not recommend this burrito enough. My wifey had the Turkey avacado samdwhich and let me tell you *chefs kiss*. Perfect nothing more nothing less. And lets not forget about the most beautiful part of this whole meal. The French Toast! Oh my goodness. Best French toast Ive probably had in my life and as a self made French Toast eating Champion. I would tell anyone who loves French Toast to come try Georges. Hidden gem alert ! This is such a cool little place, has all the classics on the menu and bonus is the good taste in music. Wall art is brought to you by owner's daughter and very obviously family owned. I've never had better pancakes (extra points to the chef for the scoop of butter) and chicken avocado sandwich wash divine ! I also asked for a coffee to go and got it in less than a minute. Server Joel was so polite and smiled through our service. What an amazing breakfast full of flavor and filling. Was doing some shopping and saw this spot down the street I was hungry so I decided to drop in. I ordered a breakfast special sandwich and a short stack, I was hungry don't judge lol. The staff was great I asked a lot of questions and they were patient with me, but who knows what they said in the back. The seats were comfortable and easy access for me as a plus size person I didn't have to suck it in. The coffee was ok not great but the food hands down was really good. I've read the reviews and seen the some pics. The breakfast looks great to me. On my maiden voyage to George's cafe I came for lunch with my son. They have a lot to choose from on the menu. He ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries. He said it was so good that he didn't even leave a trace of it. I was able to snag a fry or two though. I ordered the turkey club with a side green salad. I have to say that was a lot of turkey in between that sourdough which was good. Bread was nice n toasted and a big ol slice of bacon in there too. Very good service, did not take to long to wait for the order. I loved the music they were playing too. I can see why all the positive reviews.
