Delizioso, So glad we decided to try Ghidotti's for dinner tonight. We are visiting from Boise, where we have yet to find Italian food of this grade . The Pork Osso Bucco was all that I had read it would be. The walnut bread pudding was excellent. My husband was thoroughly pleased with his Spaghetti and Meatballs-there were 3 good sized meatballs . The worst service ever! I go to a number of BIll White rest. in Park CIty and dont wast your time on this one. They only want to get you in and get you out. I was at Ghidotti's for the first time with a work function. We had great bar service, beautiful ambiance, and absolutely wonderful, friendly staff and servers. From when I walked in the door and all staff helped me find our group, to the bar servers continuing to pour as we mingled, to dinner, the service was wonderful. Aside from that, the pork osso bucco was spectacular, the sauce that comes with the bread blew my mind, and I couldn't help but eat my own piece and then that of my neighbor's chocolate cake. Took my wife for Valentines Day and it was perfect. I arrived at 6:15pm for our 6:15pm reservation and was seated right away. The atmosphere was great - warm, inviting and elegant. For starters we ordered a cup of the potato bacon chowder and the Aged Provolone Frico appetizer. The chowder was a bit watery for my taste but it had great flavor. The provolone which was delicious was served in a skillet with crustini bread. Who does't love melted cheese? They also serve warm focaccia bread with a garlic dipping sauce that is very tasty. This is a huge plus in my book. For our entrees the wife ordered the Squash Gnocchi and I had the homemade linguine with shrimp served in a hazelnut pesto sauce. Mine blew me away, I am a huge hazelnut fan and never even thought of a pesto sauce prepared that way. My wife didn't care for the gnocchi which I thought were fine but its not something I would order. Our waiter was amazing. He quickly took it away and allowed her to order something else. She had the Lasagna which she loved, nice tomato flavor and full of cheese and meat. Yes, I sampled a taste. All in all, they did a great job even when an issue occurred that really wasn't their fault. They made us feel welcome and we will definitely be going back. First, Jonathan Lynch is an exceptional waiter; personable, attentive and as good as they get! Period. On to the place; warm, cozy, and romantic. A great place to bring your love after a day on the mountain. Let's talk food. I know Italian and can speak pasta with the best of them. It's made here and is drop dead good. I had the mushroom tortellini and it is the best I have ever had. Melt in your mouth delicious! The love of my life had the filet and it also was phenomenal; cooked to perfection. Even the croutons on the house salad were freshly made, warm and crispy, but with a little bit of chewy on the inside. Just perfect. Dessert. I am not a dessert person, but you have definitely stumbled and lost your mind if you don't go BIG. Get the cannoli and the gelato sampler! I mean it, go friggin' big! Worst experience ever!!! They were way understaffed and have unapologetic waiter who did not check in on us after waiting for our food for over 2 hours. Bring our bottles of wine mitigated some frustration waiting for the food but even getting the waiter to bring us wine glasses and cocktails was a battle. If you are thinking about going there, eat something first because the wait for food and drinks is horrendously long. read more

Wonderful customer service! We came in later at night for dinner, but the staff was still on their toes and kind as can be. Our server offered suggestions and was very helpful and kind during our visit. We ordered off the Antipasta section while waiting for our family and friend. I can't remember what it was called, but there was meat, pate, bread, mustard, some sort of jelly or jam and pickles. We were all delighted with the food and the presentation of it all due to the fact is was on a long cutting board with everything nicely arranged and with the bread and bread sticks in a cone like holder. All throughout our visit we were visited by the chef and our server who were constantly making sure that our meal was satisfactory and that we were being taken care of. Great customer service and wonderful food. The portions are small for the most part, but the atmosphere, the good service and the good food makes up for that. Really enjoyed Ghidotti's- we were looking for a new spot away from busy Main Street PC, so we're referred here. Everything was spot on- service, food quality and ambiance. They even went out of their way to commemorate my parents anniversary. We had Jager as a waiter and he was incredible- knew the story of the farm to table focus, local farm raised steak and vegetables, wine selections and he was over the top hospitable. We've been to Ghidotti's about 20 times in 8 years. It's convenient. Bill white, the owner of a restaurant group in Summit County, is a poor operator and takes advantage of being the only "game in town." I grew up in San Francisco and perhaps I'm spoiled. At this price point, I wish I could rate this a 0. The food tastes like a bad chain store, the service is inattentive and the price point suggests 5 stars. Believe me, it's NOT. Please, don't be fooled. Horrible restaurant; horrible food; and takes advantage of being the only game in town.' I will say, the ambience is nice; the decor is a bit pretentious for an Italian restaurant in Utah. Olive Garden with a 5x$ price point. We Would not recommend. I will say their family dinners to Go are OK; still overpriced and horrible service. Pretentious, without any reason to be pretentious. Stay clear. Bill White has a monopoly in Park City, without any reasonable cause. Money talks. He also controls a number of restaurants, including Sushi Blue, nearby, and a number of restaurants in downtown Park City. So many better restaurants. If you see the 'Billy Blanco's' or 'Bill White,' name steer clear. Empty your wallet and bad food. read more

If you're in the mood for Italian, you'll enjoy Ghidotti's. It has your basic entrees, salads, and pastas. We tried the lasagne, salmon piccata , and spaghetti and meatballs and were happy with all of it. The 3 stars may have to do with the service. Our waitress aggressively tried to up sell whether apps, more wine, dessert etc. By the end of the meal it was really old and we literally had to cut her off when talking. Better off with Stofer's. It's not that the food is revolting, there' just no good reason to go here. The ambiance is the best thing this restaurant has going on and it's just okay. The menu is basically a supplicate for the Olive Garden: very Americanized, nothing tastes particularly fresh. Sauces are no better than good canned sauces. Everything was underwhelming. Prices are decent, however. If you look at most of the reviews, they say the same thing but are more generous in rating. read more

I really wasn't expecting something at Kimball to look as fancy as this did on the inside. Very nicely decorated. My server was very prompt. I ordered the salmon piccata. I wasn't that fond of it. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the pasta tasted like a stick of butter and too much lemon. Not that great and I felt fat eating it. Much too heavy. Our boss took us here for a holiday dinner and I was very impressed by the overall décor of this place and atmosphere....I would have given this place a 5 star overall but we came here with over 20 people and even though our waiter did a really good job for what he had available to him I blame the restaurant for not having the proper staffing for such a larger party...eventually he got some help, but we should have had at a minimum 2 waiter and busboys etc... Now onto the food....we started off with the anti pasta plates and calamari both were very good. I especially loved the olive and cheese selection. Also worked out for me and a buddy because a lot of the table didn't like the goat cheese and the olives so we both got to eat a majority...the calamari was very fresh and the aioli dipping sauce had great flavor. A little unfortunate we had a pre fixed menu and I really wanted to try some of the things this place is known for , but I had the filet and I will tell you what it was so tender and cooked perfect! Wasn't expecting to have an awesome steak at an Italian restaurant but was very pleased. I know I see them all the time, but I figure I am at Italian you need to order Italian. It's been a little while since we've been here. Arrived this afternoon to meet the wife and mother in law at our new house, we decided to go to this restaurant. It's been a little while since we've been here, but we remembered the food to be really delicious. Also, we've discovered that they have a Thursday special with drinks and most of the food being $5! Can't beat that and we were so hungry, we ordered quite of but of food and drinks. We had the house salad, calamari, pizza bianco, spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp pasta, and ravioli All of these items were delicious! Our waiter was fantastic on a busy Thursday evening. He stopped by to make sure if we needed anything else, refilled our waters, and asked if we wanted any more cocktails/beer. We did order quite of bit more drinks. What really impressed my family and I was the General Manager (Greg). He remembers me from a few years back! What a great memory! He also gave us a comp charcuterie plate which is highly recommended. Even though it was accidentally tacked onto our final bill, we brought it to our waiters attention and he immediately corrected it and apologized and also provided us with a dessert! Given that we were the only Asians in that restaurant, they made us feel like we were regulars and felt right at home. Greg visited our table several times to make sure everything was ok. After a long 9 hour drive from SoCal, going to Ghidotti's made my day and an evening of a good family dinner, Italian style. Since we now have our second home here, we can't wait to become regulars. My first time was fabulous, but then they weren't busy and "needed" our business. Now the second time which granted, it was a very busy night, was just ok. I asked for milk for my coffee and was told "I can't ask the chef he's busy", when we asked where our dessert was we were told "well, you know, it is busy right now". Honestly, that's NOT MY PROBLEM. If your "chef" can't handle the crowds, you should either get more help or another chef that is not so tempermental, OR don't seat us, tell us there's no room. I was paying full price just like everyone else and expect to get helped just like everyone else. Some milk and my long awaited dessert should not have been a problem. The food was just ok, nothing special like the first time we were there. so we won't be going back, I don't need to spend $130 for two to get average, too many other places to try. read more

My husband and I came here after a friend recommended it. The atmosphere was good, bread was delicious, good house salads. Our meals however, were not great! My chicken Parmigiano was over-cooked, the cheese seemed rubbery-like it's been sitting for a while, my noodles were ok not great. My husband got the Pork, the meat itself was good-the veggies and gnocchi were not. The gnocchi was much too mushy, and the veggies didn't have much flavor.
