when the place takes your reservation days in advance and you show up on time, even early, you kinda expect to be seated within reason of the reserved time. after all they are the ones who agreed to reserving a spot for you. but 30 minutes after the reserved time and your still waiting to be seated you know something is wrong. dont know about the food, dont know how the waiters are dont know about the ambiance and an overall experience because we got tired of waiting and left. we watched the concierge say the same thing to everyone who walked in including us, "it will be a few minutes, we are setting up a table for you right now" ...... The sausage pizza wasn't great, bad crust, bad sausage and the chicken parmesan was Olive Garden quality. The ambiance was very nice, service was great and the large fireplace was very cozy. I have driven by this restaurant so many times and had no idea what a large restaurant it was. Beautiful, yet elaborate decor. We were seated in a perfect little booth and were instantly greeted by our server, who I give an A+. We ordered a bottle of wine and the server did not make us feel like there was any hurry. The assistant manager brought out a wonderful anti pasto place on the house that was very delicious. I enjoyed the house salad (very wonderful house dressing) and the pasta that I tried the Penne with italian sausage was good. I will definitely be back to furthur explore this menu. read more

I'm sorry to give them such a poor rating as we have had nice dinners there in the past. The caesar salad was good. My husband's scallop plate was good, according to him. I was the big loser. Ordered shrimp scampi and a side of creamed spinach. You'd expect scampi to come on a sizzling platter - shrimp, butter, garlic! It was lukewarm, the shrimp were rubbery, dry and tasteless. With a side of I-don't-know-what, slivers of green and white, hard and dry stuff. The creamed spinach came cool and practically raw with a sauce that had separated into clear liquid and specks of something. Also not flavorful. Considering there were only two tables of customers on the patio, the service was not attentive. They were rushing orders to the curb and I couldn't help think they were getting far better treatment than we were. And the food is not cheap. $30 for a basic entree. We have been to this Italian edition of the Bill White empire a number of times and while we have had spotty service before (excellent one night and below average another) our experience on the Tuesday night of President's week was the worst we have ever had at any restaurant. We arrived a few minutes early for our 7:15 reservation for a party of 6 and were seated within 10 minutes. They took us to the back room which must be for large groups since there were 2 parties of over 15 including many young kids. Sensing a problem we asked to move to the other room which had identical circular tables that could accommodate us but were told they were "reserved". I guess those reservations were more special than ours. We then sat, ignored, for over an hour. The bus staff were the only highlight, keeping us full of bread and water. Finally a neighboring waiter took pity on us and at least took our drink orders. When our waitress finally attended us she offered no apologies and took our order. From that point the food did come out in a fairly timely manner. We had the Antipasti and provolone frico appetizers to share. When we asked our waitress for plates (at this point we only had silver dollar size bread plates) she questioned why we needed larger plates. All we could do was laugh at that point. One in our party was vegetarian and we had been told that she could "build her own pasta" as her entree. When she asked the waitress what the pasta and sauce options were she seemed irritated and said she could have any pasta/sauce combination she wanted. After telling her on the third try that no the don't have linguini, ziti, elbows, etc. she politely asked the waitress if she could please tell her what options were available! Unbelievable! Then we finally had several different entrees of which the Osso bucco was the best. I realize that Park City is overcrowded and the restaurants are mobbed, especially on a holiday week, but our experience was totally unacceptable. While this restaurant has pretty could food, I wouldn't take a chance on the service again. read more

High end dining. I got the distinct impression from the waiters face, when all 3 of us just wanted water, that he was sure we were cheap and he wasn't getting a tip from us. So therefore I feel that's why our service was sluggish at best. We had just come down from a day on the sun at Wyoming downs on Sunday July 23rd, and needed water. I watched the other tables and they were getting more attention. Very good food and perhaps a more open minded server would have made this five stars. He brought the check without asking if we wanted anything else. I asked for the dessert menu which we ordered not only dessert but a quad french pressed coffee. We were somewhat surprised that he just dropped of the filled presses and didn't offer to press and serve them for us. I made a point to over tip in hopes that maybe next time he may not be so quick to judge. read more

Had a wonderful time here! Can't beat great food, ambiance, and service. Came here on a recommendation from a friend/local who comes here all the time. We had the Pappardelle alla Bolognese and the Chicken Parmesan. Both were amazingly delicious! To top it all off for desert we had the cannolis with cherries. After trying 25+ restaurants in the Park City area over the past six months, I decided it was time to write some reviews. Ghidottis is one of Bill White's. And much like the other Bill White restaurants, it has a mass-produced, bland feel to it. The food is tasty, but doesn't stand out; the decor is pleasant, but not unique. If you're in Kimball Junction and want Italian without driving into PC, this place is just fine. (And unlike White's other Italian restaurant, Grappa, the prices are in line with the food.) On a positive note, the pasta is made on-site, and you can tell. read more

Bar food at Ghidotti's is absolutely the best in Park City area. My husband and I have tired of big restaurant meals - both the amount of food and the price. Sit in the bar - comfy with couches - and for $40 before tax and tip and you can have three small plates that are both delicious and not so small - i.e. easily shareable and two drinks. Last night we had the charcuterie plate, fried calamari and a pizza. Tonight - had to come back, it was that good - we had pizza, mussels and an artisan cheese plate. The Aged Provolone appetizer was amazing, our service from the personnel all the way to the details of the decor provided a classic evening and dinner for me and my wife. We were commemorating her birthday and were happily surprised with a delicious chocolate cake. We had two dishes, which the flavor of the pasta was amazing. Our server, David, as well as his trainee, Tracy, were fantastic. They had a perfect balance in between professionalism, competence, friendliness and attentive to our needs. We felt we had been there hundreds of times, though it was our first, but certainly not our last. Very disappointing. Bottom line: the quality of the food doesn't correspond to the pricing. At roughly $20-$25 per entree you'd expect much higher quality. Add to that cheesy decor that misses the mark, and you're left with only one redeeming quality in the pleasant staff. We stumbled upon Ghidottis during our stay in Park City. How fortunate it turned out to be. The atmosphere was very nice, the service and management excellent, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. In particular, what stood out more than anything was the professional service we received from our server, Tyler Dunn. Not only was he courteous, he knew the menu inside and out and recommended some dishes that were spot on. It's not oftentimes you get a waiter as talented as Tyler. In addition, the General Manager, Greg Walsh, was also excellent. He came up to greet us with our party of 8 sat down for dinner and occasionally checked in with us to ensure everything was going well. At one point, when we asked for something that wasn't on the menu (a salad dressing), he actually went out to a neighboring (sister restaurant next door) to get it for us. Now, that's service at it's best! Five Star experience, definitely make Ghidottis part of your experience while in Park City. We were here for 7 nights and ate out each evening, this restaurant trumped all of the others by a wide margin! read more

We went to Ghidotti's a few months back for my birthday and it was Amazing!! Our server, David was so friendly and attentive to our group. We really enjoyed ourselves and were able to try many items from the menu, all of which were great but I would have to say my favorite where the Pappardella Alla Bolognese, the shrimp scampi and of course all of the flavors of gelato for dessert! The food didn't match the service. Waited over 30 minutes for desert and just cancelled it. They never cleared our appetizers even after taking dinner plates away. I had to ask four times for them to clear it. I have eaten at other White restaurants and this one was horrible for service. If they are understaffed then adjust how many reservations you take. read more

We had a really great experience here, mostly due to the fantastic service provided by Joey and Dave D last Thursday evening. They really went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying every minute of our time there, which we were. The food was also fantastic, although it turns out I am not a big fan of the butternut squash gnocchi i ordered, but the lasagna and creme brulee were nothing short of delicious. My husband and I were in town visiting from Illinois for a quick holiday vacation, and the folks at our hotel recommended Ghiddott's. We were overwhelmed with the restaurant's beauty and the items on the menu. Looking around at the tables near us, it was clear the food was fantastic, but our server, Tom, really made our night out a special occasion. He was friendly and made us feel very welcome. Tom recommended the Pork Osso Bucco and the Crab Tagliatelle as his favorites, and they were excellent choices! We couldn't have chosen better meals on our own! Tom went above and beyond what we expected for the night. I wish all waiters (and all people!) were as genuinely nice and caring as Tom was. Super guy; excellent waiter in every way! I ordered the wild mushroom tortellini dish. It took about 30 mins for it to arrive on a Saturday night. It cost me $20. The flavor was amazing, but you get 5, count em, 5 tortellini. This dish should cost $10. It's a beautiful restaurant and the food is great, but they need to adjust the quantity to price ratio. I was VERY disappointed. I enjoyed this restaurant mainly for the atmosphere. It is really beautiful inside. We were a group of 8 and had a large table in the main dining room. I had the Rosemary Chicken. Not really what I had expected, it was more "fried" than roasted seemed like. The mashed potatoes that came with it were delicious. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their dinner as well. Wine list was nice and enjoyed some desserts. Overall it was a very nice restaurant. read more
