Our first time trying this noodle joint in Westminster. The crowd builds but also quickly dissipates so if there's a wait, don't worry, it won't be excruciatingly long. The noodles were a bit on the softer side for my preference. I would have preferred it to be more springy. Maybe they're blanching it in advance and letting it sit a bit too long? Aside from the noodle texture, everything else was delicious. Toppings were generous and portions are good. The service is fine. Ambiance is noisy and a bit chaotic, as expected in this sort of shop. Decor is still nice and new. The first stall in the woman's restroom can't lock because the gap is too wide for the sliding lock. Very strange. My first time here, our group was 12 something people, got seated right away, we came maybe 30 mins before they're closing time but they were super nice. The manager lady was so attentive to us it felt really nice, she got us extra sauce, extra water right away. All the food was very tasty. Ordered the dry egg noodle with shrimp, pork and quail egg. Dry noodles are served with soup on the side. All the sauce is at the bottom w/ minced meat & you mix it together. Very flavorful but it did get a bit salty towards the end. Also tried their bun bo hue, and their broth/noodle was so good! The broth didn't have a strong lemongrass flavor which I liked. Our family loves having late afternoon lunch here around 13h30 pm, They definitely didn't disappoint us with their famous Hu Tieu Thap Cam or House special #4 and the Dynamite cold chicken and rice is so good you wanna nibble on it all day long. Their Banh Canh Gio Heo has passed my Dad's rigorous inspection since he doesn't like this from many restaurants in the area. The service staff are well trained and restroom was very clean and smells fresh. Great work everyone for making our visit today truly exceptional. A lot of people have been raving about this place on youtube and word of mouth. We come to find that they moved locations across the street. I got bun bo hue and it was okay. The flavor lacked a bit, I had to season it a bit. My mom got hu tieu with both kinds of noodles. They forgot to put the mi (yellow noodles) in the bowl, eventually bringing a side of it out later and she was stuck with a lot of noodles. My mom's soup lacked flavor as well. read more

Heard good things about this place so finally gave it a try I ordered the mixed dry noodle with a side of meatballs. I noticed pricing is a little higher than some places in garden grove but that's ok as long as quality shows. Dry noodles around $15, the hainan chicken rice is $19 yikes! Our food came out pretty quickly, I got the half rice half egg dry noodle bowl, with my rice noodles being soggy and bland like almost no sauce so I kept adding soy sauce to flavor it. The soup was pretty good but on the salty side. Service was ok they take your order right away, good if you already know what you want, bad if it's your first time and you need to look at menu. I would probably give it another shot but avoid the dry noodles, it was pretty bland compared to my go to dry noodle spots like Hai lua aka old co 3, ilanet, mi vi, 405, and grandpa's. read more

Overall: Although I was never a fan of the original one across the street, this one is definitely a go-to for me even though I'm not a fan of egg noodles. Food: 5 Egg Noodles & Rice Noodles with Shrimp, Pork, and Quail Egg (Dry): The noodle portion is small, but they give a very generous amount of protein. I had 4 big shrimps, lots of pork slices, and a few fresh quail eggs. The pork slices were thinly sliced and well-cooked. They were moist and not dry at all. The shrimps were also well-cooked and weren't rubbery. The sauce on the noodles and soup on the side was well-balanced, not too sweet or salty. Service: 5 They probably had the best service I've seen at one of these Chinese noodle shops. The servers were patient with our specifications for each order. When they brought our orders out, they immediately realized that one of them was wrong and took it in to be fixed without us asking. They even apologized multiple times. The size was so big with the price, love it. Customer service was 10/10 i got 2 drinks (Rau ma & passion fruit). A coworker recommended this spot for vietnamese food, especially dry noodles or noodle soup. My friend and I visited this spot on a Wednesday night for dinner and we had no issues with parking. I've been looking for another dry noodle place (vietnamese mì khô) around orange county and this one did not disappoint! I ordered the Mi Kho dish (dry) with soup on the side, toppings were quail eggs and pork. slices (prices approx $14) . The dry noodles had a sauce underneath to mix thoroughly, flavor was good and the dish tasted pretty authentic. Staff was attentive and friendly, they made sure our meal was good and to our expectations. Considering all the OC vietnamese restaurants nearby, the food was pretty good and I thought it was a bit cleaner tasting than other spots. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with my family a day before lunar new years. Restaurant was pack, was seated right away and order was taken. Food came out really quick. I got the #2 Mi with hoanh Thanh, Bo Vien, thit. The broth was really good and there was plenty of meat. I highly recommend getting the #2 if you like hoanh Thanh and Bo Vien. My mom got the bun Bo hue, she said it was ok, nothing special, broth was kind of bland and wasn't hot enough. My cousin who go the bun Bo hue also said that she liked it. Overall I did enjoy the mi hoanh Thanh myself and would eat it again. Their hu tieu thap cam is pretty good but I feel like sometimes food is not consistent but maybe it's because my MIL makes better one. Their sauce for hu tieu kho is good. They have this hu tieu ga quay that is pretty good. Their bun bo is ok to me only. I tried their nui xao luc lac and it's ok. The beef could be more tender. The parking is relatively difficult depends on the time you get there. The restaurant itself is of medium sized and the tables setting is quite good as they are not so cramped! Our party of 12 settled in quickly and service is prompt and the food delivered to the table so quickly, thanks to the instant order from the customers to the kitchen! I ordered one of their highlights. Hu Tieu Mi Thap Cam Kho. My friend ordered the same but with broth. We both enjoyed it. I tore it up. That means it was yummy. The place was way packed on a Sunday morning. We waited 20 or so mins. They close two days a week to give employees time off. Whatever they don't sell for the day they give to staff at the end of the night. Nothing is left for the next day. All fresh food. You can tell. It was delicious. Always a quick and speedy stop in OC for good quality food. The menu is short (around 20 items) the service is very quick. I waited around 10-15 minutes, got seated and my food was out within 5 minutes of me ordering. The place was PACKED maybe bc of the Asian Garden Mall nearby with lunar new year. Ate here for breakfast! Literally 2 minutes after we ordered our food came out. I got half mi and half hu tieu Hai San. I recommend the egg noodles more! Came here around 2pm on a Sunday and it was fairly crowded with even a wait outside. We had a bigger party as well with almost 10 people, but we were helped pretty efficiently. Maybe because we all kinda just ordered a couple things - a few bun bo hues and the same variations of mi/hu tieu. We were checked on pretty often and I feel like maybe it was even the owner/manager who made an effort to ask if we needed extra things as we were eating our meal, which was nice. I got the bun bo hue and although it wasn't bad, it wasn't my favorite bun bo ever and I'm not sure if I'd get it here again. I've had more flavorful and lemongrassy elsewhere and I wish there were more meats and veggies in the dish. Their sate was tasty to add but I felt like I had to add a lot to get it to where I wanted the flavor/spice to be. I also wish they gave more veggies with it but they were very good with bringing in extra limes for us because we asked for alot and they definitely delivered and wasn't stingey with it.
