I would like to preface this review by stating that Giada is one of my favorite Chefs in the world. I went to the restaurant with incredibly high expectations as I make so many recipes of hers at home. The food was just okay. The salad wasn't anything special and the risotto was gritty and overcooked. I was hoping her risotto would be amazing. It wasn't. The best part about the whole meal was the bread service, which was in fact amazing. Homemade bread with delicious dips/toppings. Fantastic. We highly suggest that you skip Giada's Our review may sound contradictory. Everything was perfect. The service was excellent. The view was as good as we could get (we paid $25 extra per person for a front row view of the Bellagio fountains). Every dish was cooked to perfection. Seriously, we have no complaints. And yet we left lacking. Nothing was extraordinary. Nothing surprised us. And our price was the highest we had spent for any meal in Vegas. We left full but saying 'meh'. We'll never go back. We came during our spring break and made a reservation to Giadas. When we walked right in the door, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The service was amazing, and the food was great too. The clear view is across from the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace, and is on the second floor of the Cromwell. Did it blow my mind? Eh, Would I come back here again, yeah! The food: SLAT: was a great dish if you are a salmon lover and vegetables, or looking for a healthier option. Cavatelli: it is a smaller portion if you are looking for not a lot of food, and has a good flavor to it. includes the pasta, mushrooms, peas, asparagus, and a basil pesto sauce. Lemon Basil Sorbet: it has a different flavor not like regular sorbet. It tasted more like basil rather than lemon. First off I want to say I'm a huge fan of Giada as is my girlfriend, so we made our reservations far in advance and couldn't wait to partake at Giada in Las Vegas. Needless to say we were severely disappointed in the quality of the food, especially for the price. Pro's: We were seated in a very nice area and had a view of the fountains (by request) which made it very romantic. We both had signature cocktails, my girlfriend had the Flash, i had the Serpico. I will say the cocktails were definitely amazing and the bread that they brought out was where our night should have ended. Cons: The charcuterie was very average and and overpriced. My girlfriend ordered spaghetti with the shrimp and lemon basil sauce. I agree with many other reviews that the food was not hot enough. The Tiger shrimp were large however they were chewy which took away from the experience. I love fresh pasta but we felt this pasta was not cooked enough. I had the fettuccine with the lobster, bacon, and pomodoro sauce. Unfortunately my meal was also lukewarm, it tasted very fishy. The lobster was chewy and I could taste the Salty Sea Water and it completely ruined my meal. I did not finish it. Overall the portions are small so had we actually enjoyed our food most likely would not have had enough and been disappointed. In the end we both had two cocktails, the bread and our meals plus a charcuterie which came to about 240 bucks. We will continue to love Giada, and do our best to recreate her recipes at home because they're always so good but... we won't be returning to Giada Las Vegas. I pulled onto the Las Vegas Strip and the first thing I see is the word "Giada" lit up on the side of the Cromwell. I think to myself, "that can't be Giada, like the chef can it?" I'm a huge Giada fan and have several of her cookbooks, I was intrigued. Well I go about my trip and finally, on a Saturday night, we find ourselves with no plans for dinner. I jump at the chance to call up Giada and get a reservation, which was a cinch. Let's start with decor...it is amazing. It is sophisticated, modern, and a bit Californian, just like our beloved chef. It is decorated with lots of white furniture, natural wood, clean lines with the occasional pop of color. The ambiance is great with lit candles everywhere and dim lights, I was instantly relaxed. We decided to head to the bar and order some of the custom cocktail creations before our reservation. I opted for the Giada take on a Pisco Sour, I can't remember the name. So dang good and frothy. At dinner we each ordered our own meal but ordered a couple of starters to snack on and share before. We shared the Arugula Salad that had this huge piece of parm laying delicately across the top, so yummy. We shared a Crostini, some other cheeses, and some salamis. In all honesty, that is all we needed we were stuffed. But I got the Lobster Ravioli and it was so rich and delicious. I only needed three bites and I was satisfied. We decided to ditch dessert and get glasses of Proseco that were perfection. The server's recommendation was on point. So why a four star review? I felt a little blindsided by the server. Look, I get the upsell, I was a server for many moons. But to totally embellish about the dishes was shocking. Our server said we would need to order 2-3 dishes as the restaurant was tapas style. So that's what we did. Um no, our dishes, including the apps, salads, and entrees were a full size. Now were they chain restaurant sized portions? No, but they were a full dinner plus some to take home sized. I felt like she did this to make the bill increase, and we walked out spending about $50 each more than we should have. If you ever watched any of Giada's cooking shows you'd expect simple, good, high end. I can't even begin to explain how bad it was. One birthday I dined for dinner (elegant & romantic) and another birthday I visited for their weekend brunch (fun and bright atmosphere!) I love their salmon dish! For cocktails they have a great selection and I really enjoyed the Barbarella drink with Tanqueray and topped with basil! Their brunch was excellent and the staff are trained very well, knowledgeable, and are helpful in guiding you through the menu if you would like. They really know how to make you feel special whether you are celebrating or just dining for fun. So ... had heard rave reviews from friends and booked a table here. Our reservation was for 8:15 and we arrived at 8:12. Hostess said it would be "a few minutes." TWENTY-TWO minutes later there was still no movement. I politely asked, "our reservation was for 8:15. It is now 8:37. Can you give me an update on what to expect?" She said, we are backed up by 15 minutes. I said, well, it's 22 so far, can you provide an update? She asked my name (again). No apology. Just , we will call you when your table is ready. We waited another 10 minutes. Then left. The thing is, while I would love to experience Giada food, my expectation when I make a reservation is that the restaurant cares that they had an agreement with me. If there had been an apology or explanation, I would gladly have waited. Instead it was low level snooty/bitchy we are better than you BS. This is my 3rd time eating here and the service at this restaurant is probably the best I have ever had....anywhere. Robert and Katie were awesome at the bar! I had a white cosmo and it was delish! Dave was our server and he was great! They bring out an amazing presentation for the bread and you get two types - a rosemary olive oil and a cheese crisp type cracker. This is served with a variety of toppings. One of the appetizers we ordered we didn't like and Dave quickly removed it and replaced with another. If you like mushrooms, don't miss out on the wood roasted mushrooms - best mushroom dish ever!!! I always have the bucatini and this last time I was disappointed as it wasn't as spicy as it normally is. When I mentioned this to Dave, he told me that "they had to tone it down as people thought it was too spicy" but he immediately brought me out the Calabrian chili to spice it up and it was much better. My husband had the crab and scallop risotto and he said the scallop was cooked perfectly but he didn't taste any of the crab in the risotto. Make a reservation as this place is hoppin'! Went to LV for a long weekend and mom and I were determined to try some of the well known TV Chef restaurants and Giada was on our list! We decided to stop here after seeing Rod Stewart it was around 9:30 and we didn't think they would seat us since we didn't have reservations but they did! A really classy, home feeling restaurant, we didn't want to order a full dinner so we stuck with a few appetizers and shared a linguine and lobster dish. They have this awesome bread assortment with capers, salt, red peppers, cheese and a fabulous basil pesto dipping sauce, I have looked for the recipe but can't find one anywhere, I had 2 helpings. The Calamari with Shrimp and Chicken Meatballs in a Marsala Sauce was really flavorful. They were trying a new dish, Linguine with Lobster, which was eh...it was ok, but I wish we had ordered the Lobster Raviolis instead, we felt that the Linguine dish was lacking Lobster big time. I wouldn't order it again. The staff inside the restaurant was extremely friendly, except the young greeter girl, she was a bit snobby and not very friendly. All in all, it was a great time, the next thing we knew, it was almost midnight!! They were prepping the restaurant for Giada herself was to be filming the next morning. Bottom line first: food and atmosphere were good, but John the manager was incredible We were here for just a simple dinner. I picked this place based purely on the sheer amount of excellent reviews on OpenTable (yes, we all know Yelp is more realistic) and didn't know what to expect. Even though I had a reservation, we were still asked to wait. At least the wait was mitigated by the Photobooth, which supposedly emailed me the picture, but I'm still waiting for it hours later. We got seated, initially slightly disappointed by the lack of strip view but didn't want to wait indefinitely for a table to materialize. At least we were able to watch the bar and the TVs playing the first Lakers game after Kobe's passing. We picked out customer favorites. I was truly satisfied with the bacon-wrapped dated; the spiciness was perfect. Initially, I thought the ravioli with lobster's portion was small, but it turned out to be pretty decent. I wasn't too impressed with the lamb shank. When it came to dessert, it was a no-brainer to get the dessert tasting menu for $21 instead of any one for around $15. Not only was it a good deal in terms of portion, but it allowed us to enjoy the excellent limoncello cheesecake that we probably would not have otherwise picked. Although our server was good and polite, it was manager John Davila who made our night truly special. He came over and had not one but two genuinely meaningful conversations with us, and he even showed us that we were sitting in a local celebrity's favorite seat! You can see his numerous replies to Yelp comments, whether good or bad, and tell that this is a gentleman who truly cares about service. We visited Giada's 2 weeks ago during a business trip to Vegas. I was beyond excited to go to Giada's restaurant. I have been a fan for years and loved all the episodes she filmed in Capri. We recently got married in the Amalfi Coast and really wanted authentic italian food. We had reservations but the table was not ready. While we waited, we went to the bar to get drinks. The drinks were made so fast, had no garnish, and tasted very weak. Right away I noticed the beautiful decor and all the details in the place settings people around us had. I was hoping our dinner would get better. Our table is ready and we are taken to a room in the back, away from the main room with absolutely no view. We are the only table back there and our table wasn't even set up. I asked for a different table but was told it would be at least 30 minutes. We had plans after dinner and were not able to wait extra time. I brushed this off and hoped the rest of our night would be perfect. We ordered drinks and the bacon wrapped dates to start.The bacon dates were awful. They weren't even warm when they came out and the italian sausage it had in the center was so dry and hard, I couldn't even eat it. We ordered the Pepe Bucatini in the pecorino wheel and it was also mediocre. It lacked flavor and was also served luke warm. The best part of our dinner was the bread board with the different sauces. Our experience at Giada's was a complete disappointment. The decor is beautiful and looks elegant, but not at all fine dining. We spent over $200 and it was a complete waste of our money. The best brunch of my life. Hands down. Came on a Saturday afternoon in July. Ambiance: Perfect. Gorgeous view of the Bellagio fountains and Las Vegas boulevard. Quiet, romantic music, and a cozy interior. Super comfortable chairs and impeccable, classy table settings. Food: My husband and I both got the brunch tasting menu ($55 each). First course: A romaine salad, two pastries, and a selection of antipasti. The salad was light and refreshing with a bit of parmesan and a citrusy vinegarette dressing. The pastries were flaky and not too sweet. The ricotta-lemon-blueberry Danish was surprisingly light. I could have just eaten the filling with a spoon. The highlight was the mozzarella balls, soaked in a not too spicy chili oil, with a bit of lemon zest. A simple bite elevated to something truly amazing. Second course: I got the cavatelli. My husband got the salmon Benedict. The cavatelli was perfectly cooked and enrobed in a decadent pesto cream sauce. It was filling yet light, and had bits of peppers and mushrooms. This is what pasta should be. The benedict was perfectly cooked and the yolks ran beautifully when we broke them. Hollandaise was lemony, complex and had just the right amount of heat. Third course: Dessert. I got the lemon souffle and he got the chocolate espresso cake. The souffle was light, fluffy and just melted in my mouth. The cake was the exact opposite, as it needed to be. Heavy, rich, and layered with an ice cream whose base had been infused with espresso beans overnight. Even the outstanding service of Rocco, our exceptional waiter couldn't save Giada's from a poor review. However, Rocco will be a name to remember if we decide to give Giada's a second chance on our next Vegas visit. More positives were the delectable bacon wrapped dates appetizer, the bucatini with meatballs entree, and the view of the strip. Dishes I would not recommend: the signature Lemon Spaghetti with Shrimp had the consistency of a dry alfredo, with tasteless rubbery shrimp. Also, the less than generous portion of lobster ravioli was served lukewarm and less than al dente, almost crunchy. Lastly, although, the wine selection is extensive, expect to pay a premium of 4x the retail price, which seems excessive. So, to summarize, I would not rank Giada's as a bucket list go-to for culinary excellence but if you are a fan of Giada, as I am, then you'll want to make that decision on your own. read more

Beautiful restaurant and a great location. We were seated across from a window in a comfortable booth with a view of the strip which was wonderful. They started us with fresh hot bread, butter, oils, etc which melted in your mouth. The wine and drink selection was great and even though I went against my better judgement of ordering a Riesling, it did not disappoint and 4 glasses later, it was still an amazing wine choice. We decided to go with a tasting menu which is a limited set menu of appetizers, a 2nd and 3rd course and desserts from the dessert cart. Every bite was amazing. One of our party has a gluten allergy and we were all so impressed with how well they accommodated her and she was so overwhelmed by how amazing the gluten free options tasted. The best part of the whole experience was our server, Rocco S. I can honestly say that I have never received service as good as what we got at Giada's. Rocco went above and beyond to ensure that all of our drinks and food were out on time and his knowledge of the dishes and the wine and his quiet, pleasant and humble demeanor just made our night. It's a restaurant that is definitely worth the price and I will return the next time I visit Vegas. read more

My risotto with crab and scallops was divine, I just wish there was more. The banana gelato wasn't really gelato, but it was a very good ice cream. I loved the Chocolate Amaretti cake! The lobster ravioli was soft and had good pieces of lobster in it but not very memorable. The rack of lamb is not a rack because there are only 2 pieces served (4 ribs). The mustard crust was too strong for my taste and after scraping it off, the lamb tasted better. It was cooked well, but also not memorable. The dessert was probably the best part of the meal. Made reservations for my Dad's 75th birthday, I mentioned this at time of reservation online and in person. We're also local so making the the trek to the strip into a casino to pay for parking for multiple vehicles was a big deal. We were hoping to be seated where it was closer to the window but it didn't happen.We arrived a little early that's ok since there was a photo booth(never got the pictures). Once we were seated it took about 15 minutes for someone to come by yo tell us they would be back with water. We already knew what we wanted to order. They come to bring water and we order the antipasto platter, the server asked if we wanted the crackers or bread or both we opted for both. It was not till the bill came that he charged us an additional $9 for the bread, I wish he would have told us ahead of time , just for principle. One daughter ordered a mix of juices which tasted water downed with some mint on top. The server knew she didn't like it since she ordered something else. Still charged for the original drink. Before our main dishes come out we ask for refills on our beverages twice. Food comes out, my daughter ordered a pizza which is pretty tiny and half of it was burned. They still didn't come back with refills and we were almost done with our food. We did order the cookie platter, did I mention it was my Dad's 75th birthday. A table across from us did have the staff sing Happy Birthday so I thought great no big deal. Welp cookies came out with our drink refills finally and the bill no Happy Birthday. I really wanted to love this place, we had been looking forward to celebrate here and left disappointed. The food was good it wasn't mind blowing but not horrible, service was slow and inattentive. The fact that other staff makes eye contact and walks away didn't make it better. The sneaky add on for bread and not taking the $10 juice off still irritates me. Our Open Table reservation was honored an we were promptly seated by a window overlooking the Strip and the Bellagio fountains. However why look outside when the inside of Giada's restaurant was so attractive and decorated in the classiest of ways. We chose the Prix Fix menu, my wife choosing the salmon filet and I, the tomahawk pork chop. Both were excellent. Side dishes were a bit skimpy, but delicious. We were given a very small portion of rigatoni mushroom pasta that was also delicious, but you needed an electron microscope to see it. Seriously, it was served in a big white dish with a small bowl center that contained about one cup of pasta. (Just one to share!) LOL! The little desserts, (selected from a rolling dessert cart), were awesome as we could choose three each between the two of us. Our server, Rocko, (from Italy), was undoubtedly the most helpful, knowledgeable, and nicest gentlemen we have had the pleasure of meeting. You will truly be lucky if he is your server! He seriously did everything to make us happy. Giada's is not your bargain-basement restaurant. It is classical fine dining, so don't be surprised at the bill. I believe our prix fix selections came to approx. $85/each. Add pre-dinner cocktails plus beer and wine added to the tab and we were well over $200 for the two of us. Rocko was so good he received a 25% tip! We highly recommend Giada's, (AND ROCKO)! P.S. - We liked it so much, we came back three nights later with the rest of our family.
