Would have gone 5 Stars, but the lady at the grill kind of emanated attitude and a general displeasure with being there. The lady who took our order, however, was wonderful. So, just slight room for improvement on the customer service side. Sunday 8:30 am... Darcie and I went for breakfast. I was shamefully and irresponsibly hungry. I got an order of Biscuits and Gravy, Hash Browns, and a Bacon Cheeseburger. I know, yikes. But it sure hit the spot. Both spots! The Breakfast spot and and the non-Breakfast spot. I felt a bit less guilty when Darcie got the BCB as well. Prices are reasonable, the tastiness is stratospheric. For the record, half my burger went home with me. As has been mentioned by others. GH is petite. Arriving during peak times will require patience through the wait to be seated. Word to the wise: Sunday mornings before 9:15 are a sweet spot for seating. Tucked away in a shopping plaza, it's easy to miss. Was a first time customer here at the recommendation of a Facebook group. Ordered a cheeseburger, hotdog and fries to try the three staple menu items. Cheeseburger comes with the works and so did the dog (no mayo though). I firmly believe anyone who puts mayo on a burger cannot be trusted. Anywho... Burger was good. Not a ton of beef, it was a bit disappointing that the toppings overpowered the taste of the burger itself. It was sort of like eating a salad with a bun. They don't offer double burgers but I would recommend you order the burger with light lettuce. It was just a bit off putting. The hot dog was good. Bun was soggy which was a disappointment but the dog itself was juicy and good. The fries weren't anything worth raving over. Salted well and crispy but an order of fries doesn't get you much for the price. They charge you 60c to use a debit/credit card so bring cash. Cheeseburger, hot dog and side of fries was $19.98 after 60c fee. Very pricey compared to other establishments. We live close but it may be a bit before we revisit knowing there are a ton of other options to eat in the area. read more

It is big and it is very filling. I was initially turned off by the price but thankfully it keeps me from being in there all the time. Burger, fries and drink runs about $10. I really wanted a good juicy cheeseburger and after reading the reviews I decided to check this place out. I was very impressed with my burger, fresh beef, double cheese tomato lettuce onions comes standard. I got mine without lettuce and I added pickles and choose to have the onions grilled. My favorite place for a cheeseburger! When you walk into this small restaurant in an unassuming strip mall in east Mesa, you will transport back in time. The whole place has not changed in over 20 years, which is a GOOD thing. Even the staff is the same, friendly and awesome, down to earth. I grew up here in the valley back in the eighties and nineties. With so much that has changed/is changing, it's so comforting to come to a great restaurant that has no need to change. Obviously the burgers are amazing, and I recommend adding bacon and grilled onions. The fries are some of the best I've ever had, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also have great breakfast food too. Oh yeah, the pies! They have outstanding pies and shakes too. I love this place and I hope it's around for many years to come. read more

I'm always in the mood for a good burger, and Giant Hamburgers delivers. It looks like a pretty straight-forward diner inside, but what they have cooking on the griddle is really tasty. After a lot of spicy food for the previous few days, nothing else in the immediate vicinity sounded appetizing while my wife and I were driving through Mesa looking for a bite. I found this spot on Yelp when it was miles off and seemingly too far away, but as we drove, we just got closer and closer to it. We kept looking for something other than diner food on Yelp, and nothing really seemed like it fit our moods. In the meantime, this place kept getting closer and closer and we just decided that a burger was the only thing we were in the mood for. It was nice to have something so simple and yet so delicious. It was a burger and fries done right. I've had a lot of ho-hum burgers in a lot of ho-hum places and I was just really pleased to eat this yummy thing in a traditional-style diner. Service was a little chilly at the register. Not unfriendly, just. . .probably irritated at something not connected to my visit. I didn't let that ruin my experience. While visiting family in Arizona, found this spot on Yelp and am thankful we checked it out. Service was great and food was delicious! This is the best place to go for burgers. Ingredients are delicious and fresh, staff is always very friendly and helpful, and service is usually pretty fast. It can be a little pricey for a greasy spoon/diner type atmosphere, but it's worth it for the large portions and quality. Orders are placed and paid for at the counter. Everything is cooked to order on a flat-top grill and brought to your table. They have lots of different sauces available as well (A-1, Tabasco, Choloula, Heinz 57, etc). If you are a Mesa local this is a good place to try. Warm and friendly staff, super helpful. We got cheese burger combos, the burger was good, fries lacking a bit in flavor, the soda had a bit of a metallic taste, not sure why. This place seem a bit out dated probably has a strong history, Nothing wrong there. Over all we ate everything and were satisfied. I give it a 3 stars mostly because it was too expensive for basic burgers. $30 for 2 regular cheese burger combos. read more

Spent a few days in town and like many others we look to Yelp when we want a place highly recommended. We went here and it did not disappoint. Loved the burgers, the fries, the service, the shirts and ties, and if we had room I'm sure we would have loved the cheesecake or the pecan pie. Wished I had taken it to go like I told Doug I was planning on doing. Regretted it 2 hours later. Prices were more than reasonable, my son said second best burger he's ever had next to the ones I BBQ but he might have been trying to spare my feelings. Absolutely eat here. read more
