Good pizza, but as others have said tomato sauce is too sweet. Also too little cheese, not as much as Raimo's pizza in Freeport.

Ginos pizza always has way too much oregano, it might just be their sauce but their regular pizza is not good. Specialty pies are okay. Rolls are good.The kitchen food is pretty good though, hidden gem here if you like chicken fingers they make amazing chicken fingers. I ordered a salad with fresh mozzarella there was 5 chunks of what looked and smelt like provolone, weird. The staff is also not that friendly. read more

The first time I came here, I thought the pizza was pretty good. I just got a plain and pepperoni slice. Service was fine, so I figured I'd go back one day. So I show up again this week and service was terrible. The men working behind the counter had an attitude, not only to the guests, but to their employees. That's a huge strike for me. So this short fat guy finally takes my order after like ten minutes. He puts my food in the oven and I step to the register to pay. Prices were reasonable. Two minutes later, my food is ready. The same short fat guy calls me over and asks me, in an extremely loud voice, if I was sure that I paid for my food. I gave him my money two damn minutes ago!!! It's was totally rude and embarrassing for me. Everyone heard him and it made me feel like a common criminal. I wasn't about to just run out of there with my food without paying. It was all just totally unnecessary. I feel like they're friendly to their regulars but not to people they don't recognize. Not a nice way to run a business. I get home and my pizza was really bland. I feel like it was better the first time I ate there. I think they need to work on their sauce. It's a little plain. I prefer a sauce that's a little more savory. I had to cover my slices in red pepper flakes and garlic. I will not be returning to Gino's. Plenty of better pizza places in the area. read more

I am disappointed in the service,and the inconsistency of the food. What ever happened to a server apologizing for giving you the wrong dish , allowing you to leave,and which means a 10 minute trip back to return it. But no apology!!!! Next i waited 15 minutes for the wrong however the next order was now less than 4 minutes. Poorly executed my now blackened chicken was just simply grilled. Being that it is the best pizza in Baldwin it still is not good....chicken slices such as buffalo slices, chicken bacon ranch have very minimal chicken barely any. I have found hair underneath cheese of my regular slice but that stuff seems to just happen. Staff at register is very rude and they rush you out as quick as possible. Dinner food is very good pizza is below average. You order a pepperoni slice they give me a slice with a bubble everytime. There have been times where i order a couple of slices of pizza they throw it in a box at thats it NO grease paper. How do i know where that box has been? Or whos dirty hands were touching that box. Although it is the best pizza in baldwin i suggest going to other pizzerias in neighboring towns. read more

I figured I take a minute to write a little review about Gino's in Baldwin Harbor. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how well my Superbowl party order went off and was a bit nervous, as I don't frequent the place and really kinda just crossed my fingers from beginning to end. The reason I even ordered was because one time I was in there and these two very Italian food loving guys were raving about the hot wings and mini paninis so I took a mental note that this may be good for a superbowl party. I did order the #1 Cocktail package for 15 and made sure I went in about 2 weeks in advance to sit down and talk to Frank the owner in detail. He was pretty flexible and fair with me and I ended up adding a grilled vegetable platter to the package too down the road as the party went from 15 to about 24 rapidly. There were zero mistakes (except the "medium hot wings" ordered were really very "hot wings" but still good) and the food all around was really A-OK! The pinwheels were great too, though the spinach and pepperoni went over better then the buffalo chicken ones (only because the looked a bit weird and people didn't know what was in them) but they were all good! Frank seams to have a knack to making really good mini panini sandwiches and even the cold cut party hero was delish (bread I think came from Brooklyn)! I had plenty of food (I also made some stuff and so did others, but could have probably fed everyone on his stuff alone as I had lots of left overs). The price point was pretty good and the quality was there! The other thing was, I was nervous that they would not deliver at my requested time (4:45pm Superbowl Sunday) and I called up around 3pm just to say "hey remember I really need this stuff here on time!". Ordered delivery, Food arrived 35 minutes past the latest estimated arrival time, I called when it was 15 minutes past due, the assured me the driver was making the delivery at that moment. Not so. 20 minutes later my food arrives, COLD. Not luke warm delivery food, COLD FOOD. The mozzarella cheese on my eggplant was congealed and disgusting. This place has really gone down hill. It was our regular pizza joint for the past few years, but they have really disappointed lately. Dinner food is either bland or so salty it's inedible. The last time I ordered a salad there, almost every piece of lettuce was rotten, and, no, not just turning. It smelled terrible and much of it had turned into that dark green goop. This is one of my favorite pizza places, although I don't usually get their regular slices or even cheese pies. They have so many options of individual slices, my favorite being the vodka slice and the chicken Caesar slice. In addition to pizza, their other meals are so delicious. I got an eggplant and chicken meal that was so good, I've gotten it more than once. Their heroes are also delicious and they're very generous with the meat and cheese. The service and delivery is also very good and fast although sometimes when it's busy, people aren't very friendly. That's understandable though. I found their website as I was new to the area. I have ordered online for delivery from this establishment a dozen times (once or twice a month) since then. There are many choices and the ordering online is great and the delivery men have all been pleasant! The food is quite tasty. The only reason I can't give it 4 stars is because the last time I ordered I received a call that they don't deliver to my area and I should pick up my order. I was taken aback as they have for the past 9 months. She looked at my online orders and saw the previous deliveries. I literally live 1 block from the border of Baldwin and the website or menu doesn't mention a particular area they will not service. Therefore I won't be ordering from there anymore. read more

Far better than one has a right to expect from a small pizza restaurant on a strip mall next to a Waldbaums. Pizza, pastas and all the rest always tasty, fresh and supplied in generous portions. Best deal: Wedneday night Salad, Bread, Pasta And dessert for $10.99. Highly recommended. read more

The pizza is alright. I'd rather go to La Via. But if you want to spend $15 on a salad with rotten lettuce and no toppings, this is the place to go. They sent the wrong thing once and said it was written wrong on their menu, but then said the menu isn't wrong. Basically said I ordered wrong while at the same time saying they have two things on the menu named similar and that the confusion happens a lot. I have had multiple orders messed up and don't even get an apology. The young guys in the front are nice. One of them got me a gift certificate after I had $50 in salads messed up. But the waitresses are awful and not worth going in to eat. It's way over priced and the food is garbage. There are much better places minutes away, not worth going here. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Black people steer clear! This place is full of racists Italians! Our waitress didn't even speak to us. She dropped menus down, then prepared to walk away. When we advised her that we already ordered she took them back and we informed her of our drinks. We sat patiently waiting eventually she came back and dropped our drinks and left. NO pizza ever came, eventually we caught one of the guys from the back and he gave us our pizza. Randomly another lady came and dropped bread at our table and walked away. DON'T eat any of the gluten free selections. They come in frozen and are just nasty! The lasagna was a pool of mediocre red sauce covered in melted mozzarella cheese. I searched for layers of pasta and ricotta but they were MIA! The bunless burger I ordered instead was raw inside. The gluten eaters said their food was good but the service was also not up to par. I think Ginos in Rvc is one of the best pizza places in Nassau county however this Ginos offers some items that Rvc doesn't such as the wraps which I absolutely love. Living locally, I'd stop in for different varieties of slices with my kids. I had always been pleased with their selection and overall tastes. Their sauces on their slices have always been good. And a restaurant's sauce is usually how I initially judge. With that said, and having already tried various sauces on their pizza, I decided to try one of their pastas. I thought it be fair to assume that I've liked their flavors so far, and everything had always been fresh, so of course their pasta, especially a staple pasta dish that most Italian cooks could whip up blindfolded like a tortellini carbonara, right ? Yea, not so much. I'm so baffled, I don't know where to begin. For starters, the pasta tasted as if they ran out of pasta, ran into Waldbaums and bought store brand from the frozen on sale section. Then the sauce, aye aye aye. Smh. The only way to describe this tasteless "sauce" is a white soupy concoction with chopped raw onion, about 10 bacon bits and can't even taste any sort of cheese. Now, be it that I make this sauce as well, so I could understand if they don't want to make it the right way with pancetta or at least bacon. But its almost insulting to present thus watery soup of a plate and be able to justify charging any amount. I almost feel like calling the restaurant makeover dude to teach the chef how to cook ! I come here all the time. But after the last two times I'm thinking of going elsewhere. I call to place a order and I was told 20 Mins what is normal but I get there 30 mins later and one time was giving the wrong order and the other time my order wasn't ready until 45 mins after I call on a lunch time. Moved to Baldwin 2.5 years ago. We started ordering from Gino's as it is close and convenient. Fast forward to now, I feel like the food has gotten worse and just plain sloppy. We ordered a pie last night with chicken cutlet and green peppers. They delivered it and, to my surprise, it was almost $30! I get that toppings are extra but that seemed extreme. To make matters worse, we opened the box and there were 3 small pieces of chicken (if that) on each slice and maybe half a pepper on the whole pie. I called to complain and (after asking) was told they could give me a $3 credit towards a future purchase. I told the girl $3 won't even get me a bottle of soda, that we are good customers of theirs and we order frequently. She said she was sorry and that's what her boss told her. When I asked to speak with him she said "uh sorry he's busy right now". I told her she just lost a customer and we will not be ordering from them anymore. Locals: there are way too many pizzerias around here that have better food and service to waste your time and money at this dump. read more

Left this place tonight with no food why you may ask because this is the third time not the first or even second time but the third time the same girl behind the counter has not put in my order. Only to show up there and be told oh but miss we will get it ready now for you . No I ordered my pizza and other things 20 minutes ago so when I get there it should be ready !!!! Not to be told that it was never even put in . Again I have had this problem before and amazingly with the same worker and when I called my friend to tell her what had happened she said that's why we don't use them anymore because that same girl did that to her and her family more than once so now they go to Gino's in Rockville Centre which is literally a 5 minute car ride from the baldwin one . So the moral and advice from this review is that maybe you'll get your pizza if you place your order or maybe you won't but instead of guessing just go to Gino's in RVC at least there is no guessing apparently there lol baldwin Gino's is just not worth the aggravation especially over one waitress who can't do her job correctly. read more

They can't even get a salad right -- time and time again we have issues with the food we get from here. Kept giving them the benefit of the doubt but yet again, thoroughly disappointed. I started going to Gino's after it took over the location from another favorite, Vincents of Lynbrook. This location in Baldwin is walking distance from my home. Gino's fixed up the location and have done a great job. It's our local "go to" place and we have never been disappointed. We are probably there two or three times a month. The staff is young but they seem to all be on the ball and professional. I'm a big fan of the chicken parm. My wife loves the broccoli rab. They have a wide variety of specialty pizza, but I'll stick with a well done Sicilian corner. Yumm! read more
