This review is for a visit a while back... I ordered the eggplant parmesan over the phone, when I walked in to pick it up every worker there gave me the most confused look like they were wondering why the hell I was there. The interior is very dark and dank; from the small section of the kitchen I could see, it looked very dirty. The flavor was average, it wasn't amazing or terrible. However, for the next three days I had the worst food poisoning of my life. My word of advice for this place, use very strong caution. read more

Love this place! You do not go to Gino's for the atmosphere, but the food is great and the prices are even better. My favorite - the Stromboli! Made to order, comes piping hot with whatever you want stuffed inside. Try the house salad dressing, made fresh and really great. This is a family owned business with the owner cooking in the back and his wife and son waiting on tables. His brother helps cook and deliver. Soooooooo.... This horrible experience began on 1 cookie cutter evening while at work. I stupidly picked this place by saying, "Hmmm, I'm hungry and this place that's around the corner has the same name that my awesomely fantastic pizzeria back home has so what the heck." My dumbass shoulda prayed before I ordered....maybe Jesus woulda saved my appetite like He saved my soul but hey, I learned and He forgave me so there I went. Dialing followed by ordering took place. I ordered a pizza with some stuff on it. This dude pulled up with his baby mama in the front and his lil boy in the back. Ok. So you're working and spending time with the fam. I ain't hatin....yet. I sat down in the breakroom, attempted to pull a slice out.... The bread was like 600-thread count Egyptian cotton. A brotha had to rip it out. At this point, I'm still not even trippin so much. I took a bite....aight, everybody and everything deserves a 2nd chance so I take another 1. I was done. Absolutely horrendous, and completely disappointing. A co worker of mine recommend this place because of their prices and quality, let's just say I'll never be taking food recommendations from him again. I ordered The spaghetti and meatballs with a house salad, the salad was iceberg lettuce with a 1/4 of a tomato wedge, no olives, onions, carrots, nothing Jesus, just iceberg lettuce and a tomato wedge. The spaghetti was even worse, they should change it from "spaghetti and meatballs" to "spaghetti and meatball." I received one meatball that was cut in half and placed atop a mediocre plate of spaghetti who's sauce was a resemblance of something from a jar. Now if that was the best meatball I've ever had I might have let them slide, but even the meatball itself tasted like plane ground beef shaped into a ball, no seasonings or anything. Maybe their pizza or Stromboli is good idk, but never order the spaghetti. read more

I came to Gino's on a whim. A friend wanted italian and this spot was close to us so we scoped it out. Well firstly the waitress was very hard to understand. I had a few questions about the menu but couldn't really get anything answered. I ended up getting a lasagna. The sauce was very watery an bland. I make better sauce at home. My friend and I were actually the only people there, aside from the staff. The place is small but clean and the staff is friendly. They have a decent lunch menu with great pricing. Please do not believe what your friends and neighbors say about this place, PLEASE do not eat here. This food has no flavor and certainly not Italian. The spinach on the pizza was unidentifiable as anything. But, the worst was the lasagna. I cont really know what it was, but it looked like baby dog food. You don't have to spend a lot to get a lot. This was a very nice dining experience. The restaurant.. Quaint and affordable. The food came out quickly and the staff was very friendly. Tried Gino's after seeing positive comments on the Coppell FB site. Had no idea this place was there so close. Small mom and pop type place that is very basic. For dinner we had the baked manicotti and a half cheese - half pepperoni pizza and a dinner salad. Was all delicious especially the pizza. Took some pizza home and re-heated it and it was great re-heated also. Lunch menu looks good. Nice to have a place in Coppell that isn't going to cost $40 for two people to eat dinner at. read more

Went there for lunch today and got their 10 inch pizza and drink combo off the lunch special menu. Good pizza and service.

A friend of mine wanted to eat here for lunch. I ordered the 10inch pizza with Alfredo sauce, mushrooms and spinach. I was expecting fresh ingredients but clearly it's not. The spinach looked like it came out of a frozen bag. The mushrooms looked like they were out of a jar and the sauce was horribly bland. I wish this was the worse of it but later that evening I discovered I had food poising. Was sick for twos days. I will not be going back. read more

Stopped by this place for lunch with a few co-workers today. The place is small and the staff is very nice but unfortunately the pizza was not very good. I ordered a few slices of pizza and it took over 15 minutes before it was brought out to me. The bad thing was the pizza was not fresh evidence by the fresh cheese they put on top of the old cheese. My pepperoni slice also had fresh cheese on top of the old cheese and the pepperoni. Pizza tasted very bland. I was expecting a fresh pizza since the wait was long. Very lame if you ask me. If you have a short lunch then don't come here because it will take time and chances are you will get an old slice of pizza. read more

I love this place. Perfect for lunch; quick in, quick out - wait staff is excellent, if not shy. Lunch menu is a good value from $5 - $7 for pizza, pasta, salad drink etc. I've eaten all manner of pizza, calzone, spaghetti w/meat sauce and found them all perfect, made to order, hot and fresh. Friend of mine was not thrilled with the chicken parm...said the chicken was a bit tough. I've not tried the 'slice o' pizza' but I'm sure it's probably pre-made cheese, topped and rewarmed...so if you want fresh, that's probably not the way to go...but two slices and a drink for a few bucks is a deal regardless. read more

First off, I have to say that the individual that took my order over the phone was courteous and got the order 'correctly'. Also the man that delivered my order to my home was very courteous and helpful..... Now to the order itself. 1. Sausage hero sandwich. A little cheese, some tasty thick sauce and two (2) small slices of sausage, one on each half of sandwich. 2. Sausage and peppers plate. Spaghetti was fine. Sausage thinly cut. Sauce with small bits of bell peppers and onions greasy and too salty. Oil was thick on bottom of container. 3. Cheesecake was old, the blunt end was turning brown. Never had a good meal from here in 20 years. Keep hoping but this order was three strikes and you are out and, was third time I have gotten food here and they are out as far as I am concerned. read more

I only order two items here- the pasta lunch special and the pizza by the slice lunch special. Pasta special has 3? kinds of pasta- but they all taste the same to me especially since they are served in one baked dish. Pizza is always excellent. Service is always excellent. Ordered pizza from Gino's for delivery. Pizza was pretty solid overall. The prices are a bit more expensive than the menu posted online, but still generally reasonable.
