tried to order a vegetable lasagna , was told they don't carry it . I then asked for a plain lasagna since I don't eat meat. I get home and realize my order says meat lasagna . The pizza is good, the pasta and sauces are okay, and the appetizers are generally good. Basically, there is nothing spectacular that stands out, but nothing too bad either. It's just good Long Island Italian grub, not too flavorful, but also not too greasy. Everything is served in large portions on mammoth plates. The restaurant could be a little updated on the interior although it's not unpleasant and sometimes the tables could be wiped down a little better. It looks and functions the same as it did when I was a kid and used to stop in for Italian ices in the summer. The service is always friendly and reliable as you'd expect from a local pizzeria. I can't imagine an Elmont without Gino's. It's a neighborhood staple. read more

Good pizza (sometimes hit or miss) Fast service. Prices are a bit high. For example the small grilled chicken salad. I can usually get a large pie made fresh in 10 - 15 minutes. The delivery service is also fast. read more

This has been the worse customer service experience at a restaurant ever. We purchased several orders for dinner for Valentine's Day. One being penne Ella Vodka, My Family does not eat pork ever, I have also never ordered penne à la Vodka and it had pork in it, I called Gino's in Astoria they informed me they never pulled pork in a penne à la vodka Nothing on the menu stated penne à la Vodka had pork. I called to speak to a manager young lady just kept dismissing me with an apology even had to explain to her I would like to talk to the manager please even after I explained that consumption of pork and abstaining for health reasons religious reasons and allergies and heart disease The staff showed no concern whatsoever and just dismissed it as oh well #GINOSELMONTDONTCARE read more

It's been awhile since I've been here because one server got it twisted thinking that I'm coming there for him. When my whole family for years have loved Gino's and been coming since before he even came to the scene. This is the reason why we decided to not come anymore because the situation was strained and uncomfortable. Who wants to have good pizza but uncomfortable ambiance? I'm giving it one today because the lady server was really great, very inviting and welcoming but again after months of not coming. We decided to swing by hoping that he wouldn't be working today. Unfortunately he was and AGAIN the same nonsense after months of not being there...Our substitution for this place is King Umberto's and they love us, no one thinks we are there for them. read more

This pizzeria has one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. The staff is very friendly and my family and I love eating from there. There cheese slice is off the hook. It is the best you can get. There garlic knots are a great side for the pizzas. read more

Gino's is so unassuming and unpretentious on the outside, tucked away in a convenient little plaza with plenty of parking, that you wouldn't expect it to have some of the best pizza you can imagine. It's clean and renovated on the inside and has your typical pizza shop offerings but with better flavor, better bread and crust and with better prices. read more

The absolute most amazing sicilian slice of pizza anywhere!!! They would get five stars if the customer service wasn't so terrible.. you can stand in the store for five full minutes before one of the unfriendly staff members notices you. Its like they are annoyed you came in to bother them for pizza. I love Ginos. I will always be grateful that they were open right after Hurricane Sandy. They worked their butts off to serve all of those without any power or food. THANK YOU! Beside a wonderful sense of family when you walk into this pizzeria, their food is awesome. Just try any of their slices! The counter gets hectic at times, but the wait is definetly worth it. Best pizza I've had since moving on the island..... I'm used to the old Howard Beach authentic Italian large slice pizza with the homemade taste to the sauce..... This place had the best wings I've ever had in my entire life! You can order them in a ton of variety but I got mine spicy, just the way I like em! It also has this amazing second flavor of BBQ when I ate mine and it was amazing. Their pizza and chicken rolls can't be pushed aside either as they're just as delicious as ever. Totally recommend! I went to Gino's on a suggestion from a co-worker who lives in nearby Rosedale Queens. She recommended I try the buffalo chicken pizza and my ohhhhh my it was delisshhhhhhhhh. The buffalo chicken wasn't overwhelmingly spicy like other pizzas I've tried. It was the perfect blend. While I was there I also tried the Roasted peppers and grilled chicken panini which to my surprise was amazing as well. All I can say is Go Ginosssss. I just left Gino's ordered a special salad didn't think you could mess that up but they did this is not the first time but it would be my last, asked for extra letters gave me none when I said I paid for extra lettuce they just slapped it on top now I eat iceberg letters they have romaine lettuce on bottom then I told them I don't eat that kind of lettuce took it on the back and slapped iceberg on top, got it home in the garbage, manager was very nasty to me told me that's how they make it, which was not true, will no be going back there read more

Best pizza in town! This place is always packed. You can dine in or do take out. The food is always fresh. My favorite slices are the buffalo chicken and gramma slice. If you like chicken parmigiana you have to try the shrimp parmigiana with ziti and vodka sauce!!! Just remember who put you on to that ;) read more

I only go to Gino's because it is convenient, however, even though it's convenient I'm going to stop going. The prices literally increase every time I go. The pizza is just okay, it's not even that good. $3.15 for one regular slice get out of here. I'm going to go to King Umberto where the quality of pizza is good and it's not over priced. read more
