I had a Margarita and for dinner I ordered the Saltimbocca over spinach and a side of linguini with garlic and oil. My wife ordered the Sorrentino. Our meals came out in a timely manner and were hot. We enjoyed our drinks and meals were awesome. There was so much food and we could not finish, took leftovers home. sorry no desert to speak of. Our dinner experience was great. We left around 6:30 and there were many people waiting for tables. If you don't want a long wait you need to arrive early.

While there were some nice touches, the inconsistent service and lack of standout dishes make it hard for us to return.

We were quite satisfied with our meals and I recommend the food...until... My Uncle finished before the rest of us. A waiter immediately reached over and took his plate. I had moved my plate for my Aunt and husband to taste my dish. The waiter immediately asked if I was finished and took my plate to wrap up. I know, I should have stopped this but I was in shock. Three of us were still eating as they took the bread, cheese and red pepper from the table without asking if we still wanted it. A lot of times people use the bread to sop up the rest of the sauce. This is, after all, an Italian restaurant. One at a time they just started clearing the table as we were eating, reaching over us, even getting between the arms while my son was eating. This is RUDE!!! Filomena's is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant. At this point, being seated, ordering drinks, appetizers, drinks and dinner...we were there less than an hour and fifteen minutes! Clearing plates one by one as people finish makes others feel rushed or self conscious, not exactly hospitable. When we were all finished eating, our waiter, Mike, asked if we wanted dessert. We said, yes...he gave us the menu and as we were getting ready to order there was commotion at the table next to us. Seems, the restaurant told them they had to leave the table. These people had just finished eating!!! When we saw the way the other guests were treated and how we were being rushed, we decided to go somewhere else for dessert. Filomena's is RUDE, DISCOURTEOUS and can't follow basic restaurant etiquette. They are not interested in a customer, they rush you and make you feel unwelcome and unwanted. Our bill was already over $300, we were not going to give Filomena any more of our money, only to be rushed out before we could swallow our food. As for the bill, we were charged $29.00 for the fried calamari which is listed on the menu for $17.00. It came with sauce, which they took away, again without asking. This was not complimentary, we paid for this. Filomena's has good food, but honestly Filomena's has no manners. You will NOT be made to feel like family, you truly are just a dollar sign. The ambiance was rushed and shuttle like. Next,next,next...From the moment we sat down, it felt as though the staff's primary goal was to turn the table over as quickly as possible rather than host a hospitable dining experience, clearing the plates felt aggressive, making the evening feel more like a fast-moving conveyor belt than a proper sit-down dinner. While I understand restaurants have table turns to manage, a meal should still feel like a hospitality experience, not a hurried transaction.

Previously I excepted the possibility of a new guy being trained but three in the row not to mention the rubbery cheese indicating cutting corners which I'm puzzled about as the cost of the pie is now $23.75 that's $12 a slice this time around for me with a pending stomach ache. I can't rate a pie I had to toss in the trash, as in baseball three strikes you're out.

After I called to explain my experience, the staff acknowledged that they had received similar complaints about their takeout calamari and invited me back so they could make it right. Today, I stopped in and ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza with sausage and extra cheese. Unfortunately, the experience was no better. The pizza wasn't even heated enough to melt the cheese. The sausage appeared undercooked, wasn't sliced properly, and was served in large chunks. I work on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city, where a comparable slice costs about $6. Here, I paid $8 for a slice that was bland and lacked flavor. If you're considering dining here, I would recommend spending your hard-earned money elsewhere. Based on my experiences, the food was overpriced, poorly prepared, and simply not worth it.

Fantastic chicken roll that makes me happy. If you leave bad review, get some help. Honestly though if you still use yelp in 2024, you are a Facebook mom, or an angry grandma. I would come back especially on national pizza history day in Antarctica where the polar bear swim in hot tubs and pray to their king Jamal Anthony Williams the MMMCMXCIX. The atmosphere of the place makes me happy, and the people there always are up to celebrate national pizza day along with skibidi toilet and caseoh in fortnite go goated and skibidi box fights. This place was always will to except any one in the restaurant. Very Good, Very nice. The only thing I would recommend is to acquire the skill to make caseohs strawberry cheese cake. Delivery is great and don't look at what Jaleesa B. has to say because she is a dirty little liar who doesn't know quality food and service. Many of us rely on Yelp for advice on restaurants, dry cleaners, retailers, handymen, gardeners, and so on under the assumption that it is a democratic site that supports all comments, good and bad, without bias. Nothing could be further from the truth. I found yesterday that Yelp filters results according to certain arcane rules that are not even disclosed to the reviewers who donate their time and efforts to the website's benefit. When a business patron writes a review it may or may not remain on the Yelp site according to these rules. There's no real way of knowing what will stick and what won't. I found this out when I posted a glowing review of South County Process Service. This company, which was recommended to me by a close attorney friend had but one Yelp review at the time, and it was scathing. As opposed to that reviewer's experience, my dealing with them was laudatory, warranting a very positive review. When I notified County Process Service that I had posted a good review (my first on Yelp), they replied: "We'll see if yelp filters the review. All of our good reviews get filtered. I'm not sure why yelp thinks our good reviews are fraudulent." When I checked a week later, Lo and Behold! My review had been removed. Did Yelp tell me about it? Not one word! My wife, a Realtor, had a similar experience: "They seem be wary of first-time reviewers. If your first review is negative then they let you post other reviews, but if your first review is positive then they remove it. The same goes if all your reviews are positive." She went on: "I called Yelp after a business associate posted a positive review about me which was later removed. They hinted that if I advertised on Yelp this may not have occurred." Yelp's illusion doesn't match reality. I contacted Yelp's press office asking what they had to say about this (and disclosing that this story was headed for a Forbes blog) but after 24 hours received no reply. A lawsuit about this did not clearly prove that Yelp was extorting, but it raised serious doubts. The judge, according to a Wall Street Journal article, said in his decision that the plaintiff did: "not raise more than a mere possibility that Yelp has authored or manipulated content related to Plaintiffs in furtherance of an attempt to 'extort' advertising revenues." Further proof would have been required. I am sure that the lawsuit was fueled by souls who feel as betrayed as I do today. Further web searches reveal other upcoming lawsuits and a few "I Hate Yelp" discussion sites. But to put things into simple language, don't believe Yelp reviews. Who knows how many of them have been deleted or obscured according to some secret policy? Would Yelp be a prudent investment? It appears that the company is in a position that could well be undermined by a competitor with a more honest approach. read more

Gino's Pizza Rating: (4/5) Gino's Pizza is a classic spot if you're in the mood for hearty, no-fuss pizza. I've been here a few times, and they always deliver on the essentials. The crust is perfectly crispy with a nice chew, and the sauce has that satisfying, tangy kick that pairs so well with the cheese. It looks like they've taken the girls out from behind the counter, who used to get intimidated by thugs pushing ahead of customers. They've placed men behind the counter who ignore the thugs pushing forward, so there's some semblance of order at the place now. Will it last? We'll see. Slices are bigger than average and the food is definitely better than average. Saw a few of the same faces behind the counter from many years ago. They may have some more gray hair then they had a while back, but the quality of the pizza is still on point. Plenty of seating in a casual atmosphere. I'm probably not going to wait a few years to return.
