Soft Scramble with gluten free bread
Kerry N.

This place seemed super crowded and overwhelming at first which would make sense since it's an LA staple, but the line did move fairly quickly and the servers were so friendly. I tried to get the breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread but they said they couldn't do that for some reason so I got the soft scramble with gluten free bread instead. I was craving a sandwich initially but this did turn out really good and got me to try something new! They have a whole case of pastries that looked divine including a few gluten free ones that I will definitely be grabbing next time. They have a massive patio so while it is crowded you can mill about to find a seat by the time your food is ready. Their gluten free bread was pretty good so would love to come back here for lunch and try a sandwich sometime!

A casual dining experience. You pull a number and wait for them to call your number. When we went it was actually quite a long wait. But once your number is called and you place your order the food came out quite quickly. We had ordered the Greek Salad, a couple of sandwiches and a tart. Overall the food was good but not sure about that long wait. Maybe I need to try some other stuff.

Gotta say food here is pretty great and great for outdoor seating. Definitely coming back next time in the area. I'll say the only draw back is the long wait bc it's so popular. Granted still worth it imho

Pastrami Sandwich

Decided to check out Venice Beach today and went to Gjusta for lunch. We ordered a pecan roll from their bakery items to start off. It was light a fluffy but wished there was more pecans as it was not sweet enough. It was more croissant like but good nonetheless. For our entrees we got the pastrami sandwich and breakfast burrito. The pastrami sandwich was a little oily but it was flavorful. The pastrami was also a little salty for my taste. The bread was nice and crunchy which was a plus. The breakfast burrito was good. You can taste all the ingredients inside. It was just a little saucy as it was leaking the liquids inside. This is a nice area to people watch and soak up the LA sun. Most of their seating is outside with a few seats inside and patio area. They are dog friendly but not in the patio area. Most of their items on their menu were averaging about $20 which is not bad for the area. Did not get to try their cafe area as we were going to grab coffee at another place but others were ordering it. Nice environment and place to people watch and everyone was friendly. It would be a nice place for a date or catch up with friends.

I left Gjusta feeling like I rode an emotional rollercoaster. Parking was decent on a Saturday afternoon. We grabbed a ticket at the front and waited about 25 minutes to order at the counter. I loved meandering through their small shop and the art gallery next door. Stepping onto their patio, I felt like I was hanging out in the backyard of a rustic farmhouse. Very charming. Here's where the emotional rollercoaster began: 1/5 Chopped Italian Salad - Not the Chopped Italian being chopped! This was quite disappointing...there was too much acidity, and the structure of a chopped Italian was lost here. The cheese choice was also off. Not sure what cauliflower was doing here. Overall, a really dry, unpalatable salad. 5/5 Iced Flat Whites - I saw another Yelper post these, and I can confirm they are as delicious as they look. 4/5 Pastrami Reuben - One of the better pastrami reubens I've had. The rye was the star of the show. Even though it was a pastrami sandwich, it felt light and healthy. Pickle was a NO. Not tangy, but very salty and watery. N/A Tuna Conserva - Only took one bite. 100000/5 Banana Cream Pie - CARRIED this meal. Not too sweet = perfection. The crust was my favorite part. I would order a whole pie. This came out to ~$88 for 2. You'll enjoy Gjusta if you care about natural, made in-house, wellness-focused eateries. I will come back for their bread, pastries, and coffee! *There is a separate, shorter line for coffee/bakery orders.

It was our first time at Gjusta and everything was delightful. Know that there is an express line where you can get items more quickly, but if you want to dine in, they have a ticketing system that works efficiently. The food was incredible all around including the drinks we got which I did not get pictures of. We got a mocha, an iced chai, and an ice hibiscus tea. Great outdoor seating, nice service, and we will definitely come back. Parking is a little hard but not impossible.

This was a $26 bagel so pretty insane. I got the bialy onion bagel which was good but really toasted and crispy, I wish they left it a little more chewy. I added turkey, cheese, avocado, bacon, and micro greens. It was good and pretty big but didn't blow my mind and definitely shouldn't be almost $30

The food here is among the best in LA. The service is fantastic and the ambiance is great too. Feasted on an herbed lox and bagel with all the veggies and the tomato confeit with anchovy. An iced latte and fresh squeezed orange juice were the drinks. I had heard about this place for a while and finally arrived to the party today. Damn what a good party it is and I will for sure be back. Their variety is incredible, the patio seating is comfortable, and their service was excellent. Especially David who took my order. All in all it's in just not to come to Giusta! Thanks for a great brunch!

A jammed top notch sublime bakery restaurant in Venice beach that on a Saturday morning will have lines like the last chopper out of Saigon. Across road from Gold's gym where Arnold likes to pump. I can't give it 5 stars yet as it was too busy to get an order in.

Gjusta has a ton of different items to choose and eat from. I love coming here for lunch and the very tasty sandwiches and pastries. I haven't had a dish I didn't like! The outdoor space is really nice spot to have a meal and relax.

Cinnamon Roll

What We Ordered: -Breakfast Burrito $25.00 -2 Iced Flat White @ $6.88 Each -Cinnamon Roll -Chocolate Croissant It was my wife's first time exploring Venice outside of the boardwalk, so I wanted to take her somewhere special to experience the city's vibe. We chose Gjusta for breakfast and went to the counter to order. I was clueless about what to get, but the young man behind the counter was extremely helpful with recommendations. We ordered lattes, a cinnamon roll, a chocolate croissant, and a breakfast burrito. The cinnamon roll was okay; it was different and had a bit too much frosting for me. My wife really enjoyed the chocolate croissant. The breakfast burrito was a bit pricey and had too many potatoes, as seen in the photo. It was an artsy take on the dish, which we enjoyed, but the price was steep, so we probably won't order it again. The lattes were decent. The service was a bit spotty because they were busy. We had to get our own napkins, which wasn't a big deal. I was surprised that gratuity was automatically added to the bill, regardless of the party size. Overall, everything was expensive, and I'm not sure the value was there, but it was a place we could check off the list. The outdoor ambiance is beautiful, and I really liked the rustic California look. We wouldn't rush to come back, but we would try other items on the menu.

It was really good. Things I tried- pistachio croissant, salmon belly, bread, blueberry french toast Things I ordered- breakfast sandwich, bread pudding, iced vanilla latte Everything was so good. No disappointments. It was busy, but that was expected. Easy to get a table, nice that they have bottles of water and cups to grab. I'd order everything again!

Sesame bagel w/ tomato confit
Alli A.

Our favorite bakery in LA and our favorite bagels anywhere. The bagels are light and fluffy, while perfectly crunchy. We love the use of fresh, high quality ingredients, focusing on California grown produce and locally sourced products. Everything is elite at Gjusta. The fresh counter sides and additional options supplement the menu items wonderfully. The outdoor seating area is spacious and very comfortable. We will always make at least one stop while we're in town.

Where can I park? Drove around yesterday and I only found Golds Gym parking and the street parking was filled with homeless camps.

Sorry, but it's street parking only. Gjusta parking lot was converted to outdoor seating. I've parked as far away as on Rose, but also been lucky to get a space 2 blocks away on Sunset. Good luck.

Are dogs allowed?

Confirmed. My friend and I were turned away due to her small dog. The self-identified manager we spoke to stated firmly that the health code prohibits, but it's easy to verify that both the LA County and State of California health codes allow dogs… Read more

They do not, but worth it!!!

How long would the wait be for Sunday lunch?

Gjusta is almost always busy. It's counter service, so it's never too bad. Longest I've waited to order is 10 minutes. Getting the food can take a bit but you also need to find a table (can't poach tables w/o ordering first). Either way it's all… Read more

Do they serve beer yet?

No. They don't have a liquor license, but you can bring your own booze.

Are there GF options? I didn't see any on the menu.

There are bunch of breakfast and plates you can order and it won't have any gluten. But as I remember they don't have any gluten free breads and their equipment won't be gluten free

Loved being able to see the production room, and instantly knew with the amount of locals casually hanging around on a beautiful weekend day that this was a great find! Some tables outside, couches and chairs inside, cozy. Everything looked delicious! I ended up with a savory focaccia and a sourdough loaf with inclusion of garlic. Pleasantly surprised. There's no better bread than a sourdough from a starter. And the colors are beautiful! Once home I sliced up the sourdough loaf and was surprised to find garlic cloves, but the flavors worked. Paired the loaf with some apricot jam in the morning, quite delightful. I sliced up the focaccia and grilled up a tuna melt with a fresh tomato and it was oh so delicious. Looks like some online ordering may be available. Menu is online. A very eclectic variety of customers, but I can see why they all flock here. Good food, good people. You definitely don't want to miss this!

Sinners & Saints Desserts offers a splurge for a luscious dessert, yet scrumptious for those that need gluten-free treats. Be mindful that their kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free one, but precautions are taken to minimize cross contamination. I used to work in the area & came across this bakery, but never got around to trying them out. Since my daughter's birthday was coming up, I thought about trying them out since their desserts were beautifully displayed... they should taste good, right? I ordered the current favorite flavor: red velvet, & asked if they could decorate it with pink flowers & birthday message in red. The cake looks plain with just 3 pink roses, but the birthday cursive was pretty good; however, for the price, it wasn't worth eating a super dry cake. Our family of 4 barely ate 1/3, & tried giving it away to our neighbors, who were also unimpressed. The Smack Pie was supposedly a decadent chocolate lover's sinful treat. It was meh... the ganache wasn't silky-smooth but did taste fudgy, the caramel was hard, & the peanuts were stale. We did enjoy the Banana Cream & Lemon Blueberry Tarts to offset the very dry birthday cake. Luckily, I bought these to compensate for the cake so the birthday girl was happy in the end. Sinners & Saints Desserts sounds like a deliciously tempting bakery but some of their goods miss the mark. I don't think I'll be purposely sinning here much.
