The entire to the big dog park. It's all the way on one side of the park behind the baseball fields

NOT FOR SMALL DOGS ONLY 25lbs or BIGGER DONT BELIEVE YOUR GOOGLE MAPS PEOPLE haha took our pup here. The area is huge and it's a nice long run. Not too many people were here. It was really quiet. A lot of parking both in the lot and the neighborhood. My pup is 15lbs so didn't want her to be with the big dogs but if you do have a larger dog, this is a nice quiet park to come to!

Ruff, zooom, honk, rufff, woof and zooom again. Its located right over the highway 50 west bound wall. So it is a bit noisy from traffic but if your looking for a distraction while training your dog or puppy this is the place to be. They also have few items for agility and show like training. They have the tunnel its about 5 feet or so its a big plastic one not a forgiven cloth collapsible kind. Then on to the metal A frame which is pretty decent in size. Then finally they have the black bars that stick in the ground for weaving in and out of. We got our puppy to do a few runs around the A frame and my wife was able to get him through the tunnel. There is plenty of shade and seats available, water fountain for both humans and dogs. They also have a few rakes, shovel and pooper scoopers so you can cleanup after your dogs if you forget bags, because like many of the parks they can no longer provide them. Also they have a sign for the doggy diggers please fill in the wholes they make. Im guessing safety reasons, i stumbled through a whole while playing with my dog. Good signage and they have the tools you need to "get er done" with. Save a hip or something and please fill your pet holes back up! Good deeds and responsibilities go a long way, plus "KARMA" is a (female dog, fox or otter, i googled it) B!+€#. Overall the park has some great qualities and not so good qualities. It just depends on you and your dog needs. But just one more bone of info to toss to you, it is next to a few babseball fields, the highway on the other and a bunch of trees with some squirrels the day we went. So the barking, the car/truck noise and possibly a game going on, dont think you have a quiet day here, but it makes for some great training if your at the distraction level of it!

Hidden entrance (Garden Path Ct/Stream View Way) behind baseball fields Park is shaped like a really big rectangle, mature trees, about three trash cans, decent seating, and obstacle type "toys" for the dogs. I believe it's an all-dog-sizes park as I saw no signs that mentioned otherwise.

Not just dirt/mud at this fog park

Our first dog park, so nothing to compare to but we liked it a lot. Narrow but long so plenty of room to run. Sun ad shade trees, decent water facilities. Lots of bag dispensers with plenty of recycled grocery bags. Fair amount of grass, not just dirt. Big downside is no double gates-I was very stressed when my dog ran over to arriving family who were swinging the gate wide...

My dog loves it here, it's her favorite park out of the ones we've been to. I bring her here afternoon weekdays and she comes home tired from playing chase, wrestling and socializing. The park is located all the way in back of the baseball fields on La Riviera. There is no separation between big and small dogs. It's a fairly good size park with grass, plenty of shade, new water fountain, tennis balls and a couple of frisbees. Most owners that I come across are very polite and are pretty good about picking up after their dogs.

Nice place to play ball with my dog! Grass and dirt. Nice dogs. Wish there were more tennis balls laying around.

Very spacious, a little hidden from the front of the park but I like how its long, has water fountain for dogs and lots of trees around.

Small dog side had a crap ton of feces early October 2025. No excuse for it - there were tons of dookie bags tied to the fence. Dookie blended in with the loose dirt and tree dander. Small dog side also had burs and some other weeds. Unappealing. Large dog side maybe had 2 dog turds but was bare/clean, much better. It also had heavily used scoop pans. I'll stick to my quality poop bags and having her do her business on cue, in peace, elsewhere, thanks. Decomposed granite only, no grass either side. Both sides small to medium in size. Larger joint transition area compared to other parks. Right outside the dog park are several metal tables with 4 charcoal grills. Dog birthday party setting? Haha. Plenty of street parking including spaces under the overpass for warmer days. Loved that there's a large grassy park across the street with benches. We ate there and it was peaceful enough but the road noise from Howe Avenue is a bit much. The overhead power lines at the two parks are a bit much, too, particularly at the dog park. One great feature is the easy access to the American River Trail and the levee trail. Go for a road run, trail run, or walk towards Watt Ave or Cal Expo. Overall, my dog and I don't need to come back because it grossed me out, but it was a great outlet for my dog to get her sniff on.

There's street parking only, but usually plenty of spots available. It's right next to a running trail, so if you can't dog park for whatever reason you could walk as an alternative. Pros: tall fences. Separate big and small dog sides. Working water with new water stations. Trash cans and scoopers provided (unless they get stolen). Plenty of bench space. Shade some hours from the big tree. Cons: small side has A LOT of dead grass with stickers. The big side has flooded near the gate the last few winters. It's a dirt floor, so it gets super dusty. The benches usually have pee on them (but it's a dog park). The small dog side is really big and could've been made a little smaller to adjust for the big dog side to be bigger.

I like that there is plenty of seating and there is some shade. There are signs that the park will no longer offer dog bags to put waste in and I think it's nice that people have brought extra bags and tied them to the fence in case someone stops in who doesn't have bags for whatever reason. It's sad that the local government doesn't want to maintain the park, but it's great to see the community step up. The park itself looks like a former waste area with a large drainage pipe in the middle, so it's not a very aesthetically pleasing park, but it gets the job done. There is a restroom in the park connected to the dog area, but it has never been unlocked when we have stopped here and states that the local government will only open it up for special events. If your dog needs to potty or stretch its legs, this is one of the few spots in the area you can stop at and the closest one to the freeway so it gets the job done but it also leaves a lot to be desired.

I usually hang out for a couple of hours at Partners dog park (which is temporarily closed starting May 2026 for major construction project) - but my dog and I were ready to leave this park after 45 minutes. Reasons for my poor rating 1. It is very close to the freeway (check on Google Maps) and a 6am on a summer weekend morning all I heard was traffic - no birds. 2. The tunnel featured on websites was blocked off. The tunnel is what made me think, 'this park is cool, I should check it out'. 3. Across the street from residental housing. (My dog is a husky mix and, if another one had shown up, they could have broken into song waking a few neighbors.) 4. Not frequented at 6am on summer weekend by other dog owners (Luckily one guy showed up with 3 dogs that played with my dog, but they only stayed 15 minutes.) 5. Parking was on street. I prefer a parking lot in order not to disturb neighbors.
