Had a breakfast meeting with a colleague here. Food was good but service was awful. Host had to clean off a table to seat us and it was like he was moving in slow motion. Once seated, I sat there for a full 15 minutes before a server came by. Tables next to us had the same problem. When food finally arrived, my companion's order was completely wrong - ordered waffles and got eggs and toast. We waited another 20 minutes to get the correct order. Never offered coffee refills -had to flag someone down and ask. We were there over 90 minutes. read more

I had a wonderful time at Glenn's Kitchen. The staff was polite and patient. The craft cocktails were light but definitely pack a punch. I had the shrimp and grits for lunch. It was amazing but here's the thing. It has okra in it. Usually i'm not a fan of okra. But this okra was cut differently and roasted almost it wasn't your usual slimy situation. I wish I would have taken a picture. In any case, stop by and try it. Oh oh oh. It's a little spicy. It doesn't have that nose running heat but just a lil kick. read more

This place is well decorated. The service, while on the slower side, is still nice. They've got that southern charm in the dirty south! My salad was quite refreshing, and oh! The flourless chocolate cake was sooo amazing! Flatbread pizza was delicious, burger was delicious. Oh and their cocktails were amazing! I will definitely go back to this business! read more

We needed something within walking distance from the hotel because asking the valet to get your car just to grab something really quick all the time grows tiresome. Unfortunately there are not a lot of brunch spots close by so we had to opt for lunch. It is at the bottom floor of the Glenn Hotel which also has a rooftop bar. One thing I didn't like it that so it said the main restaurant was open on Google we had to sit in the bar lounge area in the lobby. The pricing is pretty reasonable with a few expensive options here and there but you can still find something good at a low cost. And I like the fact that they have a soup of the day and Tacos of the day because I love the variety that specials give you. I got the tacos because I didn't really see anything else that I liked and I got an interesting side which was zucchini with a hint of mint. Originally don't waitress told me that they were scallop tacos which I was very excited about trying but she eventually came back and told me she was wrong and that they were steak tacos. Luckily I like steak tacos as well but I was really interested in trying the scallop tacos because I've never had them so that was a bummer. We ordered drinks while we waited in my wife got the house Riesling. I wasn't a fan of it. It was a bit dry and not as sweet as most Rieslings. I opted for a cocktails and went with the Kentucky Ginger. It has whiskey, St Germain, lemon, orange, simple syrup and ginger beer. It was a really good cocktail! The tacos were really good and the zucchini mint was surprisingly good as well. Interesting combination but very flavorful. My wife got the crab cakes and the cheddar grits. The crab cakes had zero filling and they were really big. She had to switch the grits for fries because they were undercooked but the fries were delicious. Though the wait was a bit long and there were some miscommunications the food and the drinks made up for it. We're not rushing to come back here but we'd be open to give it another try. read more

After arriving in Atlanta and finding a parking spot, we chose to have a quick bite at Glenn's before tackling the aquarium. They were not very busy, and we were seated promptly. Our server was extremely nice and was always attentive to our needs. I ordered Glenn's Breakfast with OJ and a coffee. Glenn's breakfast consists of three eggs any style, choice of bacon, ham or chicken sausage. Served with potato hash and toast. All of it was cooked very nicely and I ate every last bit of it because that's what I do. Restroom is located upstairs, but is a short walk. read more

Some friends and I visited Glenn's Kitchen on 2/13/2024 for dinner before a concert at State Farm Arena. I believe that our server may have been new by the mistakes that were made. One friend asked if they had a full bar and he replied "Yes. No. Wait, do you mean vodka" We let that go. We ordered drinks from their drink menu and it took a good while to come back. While taking our food order, the waiter wrote things down, kind of. I had to tell him that one friend asked for broccolini. I mistakenly said broccoli and his response was "We don't have that". So she spoke up and corrected my mistake. Our drinks came and then our food. One friend ordered salmon, whipped potatoes, and broccolini. Another friend ordered cauliflower steak with broccolini. I ordered the deviled eggs and Ahi Tuna salad. They mistakenly bought out two salads and we told them the table only ordered one. They told us that we could have it. However, once the tab came it was charged to our tab, along with extra sides. We explained his mistake to him and he took the tab back to correct it. That took a long time as well. No manager came to speak with us to see what was going on. He bought the tab back and they were still incorrect. He offered me $10 cash for the items that were still on my tab that I did not order. I explained to him that I did not want his cash. I paid for the tab and we left. I will say, we were excited to finally get to eat at the GK. The food was ok. But, I feel that if the service had been better we definitely would make GK one of our usual spots to eat before concerts. However, with the food being ok and the service being poor it put a foul taste in our mouth. Now, the other servers that were on the floor looked a little more seasoned and personable. So I think that we just got a new server that was left on the floor far too soon. read more

We flew into Atlanta quite early on a Sunday morning so not a lot was open for breakfast. Our rooms weren't ready yet so we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. Although that's not always a good idea, this time it was an excellent choice! My business colleague and I both ordered the same breakfast with eggs, and choice of a protein. Sounds simple but it was actually quite delicious! The eggs weren't greasy and I ordered sausage and it was tasty not overcooked and not dry. Fluffy biscuit for my carb. Overall a very well done breakfast at a decent price. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is top-notch. We were very surprised by the quality of the food and service and we really enjoyed eating here and highly recommend it! The decor is beautiful and it's fun eating in this Vintage Boutique Hotel. Visit the public bathrooms upstairs, the stall doors are so cool & risque...at least that was the case in the Women's restroom! Also, check out the names of the meeting rooms. Overall a great find for a breakfast place. We only wish we had stayed at the hotel longer so we could have tried lunch and dinner at the restaurant as well. read more

Amazing food. Amazing service. Beautifully decorated! I loved this restaurant, we stayed in the hotel so it was very convenient to be able to come right down the elevator for some good food. We ate all around the area and for us, this restaurant was the best! The lavender Collins drink was fantastic, as I was enjoying my one of many, I actually was able to order all the ingredients and had them delivered to my house on the day we got home. Best drink ever! If you are a ranch person or even if you aren't, the ranch is amazing. Like amazing... it came from the heavens, we dipped absolutely everything into it. We also enjoyed the bread pudding and it was phenomenal, I didn't get a picture of it because we couldn't wait. It had a huge gallup of caramel on top and it was a hugeee piece, easily enough to share between two. Also, the restaurant was very efficient, everywhere we went we had to wait for food and here that wasn't an issue. Totally recommend this restaurant if you are staying with the hotel or if you are just traveling by. It's worth it. read more

We recently ate at Glenn's Kitchen and it was an excellent experience. Our server Jevon was awesome and friendly, high energy, great personality, and timely service. My wife is gluten-free and Glenn's had a nice degree of options to choose from. Jevon was not only friendly, but very knowledgeable about gluten-free preparation. I had the shrimp and grits as Jevon had recommended and it was absolutely amazing. I also had the truffle fries. My wife had the vegetarian rice entrée with shrimp added to it. Both of us left nothing on our plates. I would recommend Glenn's Kitchen for anyone. I can't say I had a good experience here. The Mahi filet I ordered was so fishy that I couldn't finish it. This was also the first place I've been to that had messed up brussel sprouts. I will say that the fries were very good and that I didn't have any trouble finding a table. The service was okay, the folks seem inexperienced but likely genuinely good people. Came here with my coworkers for lunch and I liked the ambiance, my food was tasty, but our server seemed to be a bit snappy or maybe he just wasn't having a good day. I ordered the Georgia chicken sandwich without the sprouts and a side of truffle fries and enjoyed my meal. The truffle fries are amazing. A mish mash of selections and none of it unique or really that appetizing. Told the grilled chicken was one of the standouts, it was 2 grilled chicken breasts served with cheese ravioli in a watery lemony cream sauce. Tasted just like it sounds. Glenn's might suffice for hotel guests but certainly not the best for dining out. For what it's worth, the consolation is that the service was great. read more

The shrimp and grits made the 2013 Atlanta Convention and visitors bureau signature 100 dishes so I had to give it a try. It was slightly different from that version because they recently added okra, tomatoes, and chorizo Sausage to it. It had more of a Jambalaya feel instead of a traditional shrimp and grits dish, but it was still pretty good. This place has a really nice vibe. The decor and set up is modern. There were a few eclectic pieces that were beautiful. We arrived at around 12:15pm and the restraunt opened at 12pm. There was no hostess (But I am assuming there was no Hostess because only the bar was open). Therefore, when we arrived, we were standing in the lobby not sure where to go. Finally we walked around the corner and saw another desk with a young who told us the dining room does not open until 5 p.m. so we can sit in the lobby/ bar to eat. One of the couches had alot of tears in it but all of the other furniture looked pretty cool. It was a seat yourself type of deal. So we walked over to sit near the window but the tables had a lot of crumbs on it so did the chairs and the couch. So, I walked over to the bar, got a few napkins and cleaned the area so we could sit. My crab cakes were really Good! 5 star quality. The side of grits...not so much. They were hard and undercooked with not hardly enough cheese. I sent them back and asked for fries. Those were pretty tasty. My husband loved his steak tacos. read more

If I was doing business in the area and needed a place to have a conversation over a meal I would come here also. I have only been in The Glenn Kitchen for breakfast. It is very good for breakfast. The service I have experienced has always been friendly and efficient. They might slow down a little when it is packed but it is nothing that is out of the ordinary or even complaint worthy. The Glenn Hotel is my go-to hotel when I need to stay in downtown and Atlanta, as long as I can catch a good rate. This restaurant, the bar and the overall friendliness of all the staff at the Glenn are the reasons I keep coming back. read more

The location is very close the many locations downtown. The valet parking is very convenient, but they are a number of surface parking lots nearby. The location is very intimate but has great views of the traffic outside. The menu is small and unique. The hours are very limited and the menu items doesn't carry over to the bar and rooftop. The meal was ok for a hotel restaurant. It is definitely a good option if you are actually staying at the hotel or are close by. The service from the sever was acceptable and definitely could be improved. The food was ok, not a must have and the portions were a little small. Staff here is incompetent and lack common sense. First, when arriving at the hotel we went to restaurant and saw that nobody was there at 8pm to check in and seat people. When we went to the hotel desk to complain about no one being at the restaurant stand, suddenly 4 people are stationed in front of the restaurant. If there are supposed to be 4 people there and some of them are absent at times, at least one of them should still stay there for guests coming in. It shouldn't be so that when we walk in everyone is gone the hostess stand is vacant for well over 10 minutes. The staff incompetence continued. The server asks my father who is clearly and visibly a senior citizen for his ID in order to get him a beer. I can understand a young person like me having to show my ID, but someone clearly over the age of 21: come on have common sense! The food was decent, but the customer service here just makes you not want to come back. Finally, the service was slow, the bathroom was upstairs. On the second floor, on my way to the bathroom a girl asked me do I work there and replied so sad when I said no. Goes to show you the people working here are absent and lazy. the owner of this place needs to tell workers they are there to work and serve on behalf of the hotel. Hopefully, negative reviews wiil convince people to go to other places than the Glenn Hotel as well as the Kitchen. Maybe then, the place will understand bad and poor customer service will hurt their business as they need to be MUCH BETTER. read more

Stayed here for a recent conference and had multiple meals at the hotel restaurant...nothing I go it was impressive in fact 2 items, the veggie soup and the Mahi tacos were so salty I couldn't even eat them. The breakfast omelet was lack luster and the potatoes that came with it were basically small steak fries. If anything I I'd recommend the wings. She got the tea wrong (sweet instead of unsweet) took 10 minutes to get another glass correct and the food came before I ever got it. I had to get another server to take it and give me a little drink to wash down my food. Just no excuse for poor service in a quality restaurant.
