As many other unsatisfied customers have said, if you're unhappy all of the manicurists make it obvious that they're talking about you. 5. My dip manicure hasn't even been a week old and the top gel layer is already lifting because the girl didn't let it set fully under the light. She is unqualified and simply incompetent. 6. Such a bad experience. The girl that did my nails did not know what she was doing. When I would try to explain what I wanted, nothing complicated just dip power with gel on top. She made my nails different sizes, she filed them down so much that my nail bed was burning. When I pulled my hand away in pain she kept talking to her coworkers which was evident was about me. Came here for the first time. Called and made a appointment to get a regular pedicure. Came in and said I wanted a regular pedicure over and over again. She kept telling me to do gel but I said I would next time because I had a nail missing. She obviously didn't understand and proceeded to give me GEL. (I thought the light she brought was a fan to dry my nails) I didn't mind paying for it but was a little annoyed since I was very adamant about getting reg polish since I wanted to stop the cycle of getting gel myself. Also a note I came in wearing booties and brought crocs. ANYWAYS- when I finally went to pay I was not one bit reluctant to pay. On a Sunday afternoon me and my friends decided to get a pedicure done. Just a normal pedicure. They seated us immediately and began working on my friend. Believe or not, they were done with one of my friends in ten minutes. Now, I have gotten several pedicures from other nail salons but a ten minute pedicure is just truly unheard of. Mind you, the regular pedicure is 25$. The reasoning behind this ten minute pedicure? They were completely overbooked and over worked they were trying to juggle about 20 people all with 5-6 workers. They just wanted us in and out. Not a very relaxing pedicure at all. On top of that the coats came out completely ridged and wrinkled. I waited until it was completely dry to asses the damage. Recently moved back to the city and was looking for a salon that does dip powder. When I cam across this place I was somewhat reluctant because it seems like there was mixed reviews, but the pics of their nails assured me they could get the job done. When I arrived they didn't seem that busy but after I got there almost 5 more people walked in. I already had Dip-power on my hands so if you know how the process works I have to soak it off. But here's the catch....EVERY OTHER place I went to soaked it off for me. Tell me why the lady hands me a bowl if acetone and a pice of paper towel and instructs me to make sure I get it all off. A dip-powder service is typically $40, why would I need to anything? That's why I cane to the nails shop! Not to mention at the end of the service I've always received a hand massage. Ask me if I got one? NO I DIDNT! This place will also make you wait forever I spent way to many hours inside. I wanted to be nice and give this nail salon at least 3 stars; however, I have to be completely honest and say that I wasn't satisfied. This was my first time getting a full set of acrylics. Booking the appointment on Yelp the previous night was a breeze, and I appreciated how the owner messaged me early in the morning the following day. Upon entry of the nail salon on Tuesday at 5:00pm, it wasn't busy so my friend and I were quickly situated. We were directed to the color choices with a plethora of various options. I choose a light nude shade which appeared more pink than I had expected. Once I was ready, I seated myself with my nail technician (didn't get her name unfortunately) who began working immediately. I was caught off guard with the abrupt start, but then again it was my first time ever so I had no idea what the procedure would entail. The process wasn't that bad, but there were some unpleasant moments. For example, I felt several instances of sharp pain at my cuticles while she filed my nails with the nail drill bit. Then, there was the length. I mentioned how I didn't want the nails too long so she cut each nail extension accordingly. During this process, she aligned each corresponding finger next to one another other (i.e. left pinky with right pinky) to ensure they'd be even. When she finished trimming them to size, I requested to actually have them slightly shorter. However, this time she didn't align the corresponding fingers side by side. Finally, I found it odd when she applied three coats of polish to the nails. I thought it was weirdly excessive, but I continued to put my trust in her work. The nail technician finished about an hour later. My friend finished before me even if I was the one that went first. I didn't notice all the following issues until after I paid. There were so many things that upset me with the end product! First, I requested for a coffin shape, and the nails weren't properly defined to resemble this desired shape. Next, the nails on my left hand are longer than the nails on my right hand. I couldn't stop looking at how uneven they were in comparison to one another. Then, the polish application appears quite messy. There's polish under the acrylics, some on my skin, and the three coats she applied left this off putting bubbly to the touch texture. Furthermore, the nails don't reach all the way to my nail bed so it appears that I need a fill even if it was a fresh application. There was also this leftover residue that hardened on my right thumb. Lastly, with the cherry on top, the nail on my right finger is obviously crooked. Crooked for crying out loud! Overall, my first acrylic nail experience was an utter disappointment. I went in with a positive mindset of the place, considering the good reviews the nail salon has and the recommendations I heard from other friends. Unfortunately, my expectations weren't met, and I regret paying $45 for a set that I wasn't happy with. I am, however, open to going a second time but with another nail technician because my friend's nail did come out really nice and she had no complaints. I believe her nails were done by the owner, Liz, so I hope to have my next appointment with her. This seems like one of those places that's a hit or miss depending on the person that does the nails. I was quite disappointed with my visit here. I came here to get my acrylics removed and a gel manicure. The first girl tried ripping my nails off roughly when it's not loose at all yet. It was hurting me, so I suggested dipping it in acetone first just like what other salons usually do. I felt like the second girl who did my nails was really rude and unpleasant. I asked if she can repair one of my nails that was breaking, and she kept insisting on getting the dipping powder, which cost more. I told her I didnt want to because a friend of mine thought it looked kinda bulky, and i was fine with just the gel manicure. She got angry, and just glued my nails, which didnt really helped. Other nail salons had used a little bit of powder that helped repair broken nails. I felt as she was just rushing through the manicure, and the quality of the work was not worth it for me. I really want to like this place, but I think after coming here a few times I've made up my mind. The few times I've been here I've made appointments and they've always been backed up. The last time I went here I made an appointment and arrived early, yet they still had taken a walk-in client before me. She likes this spot, so scheduled an appointment for both of us at 10AM two weeks before today. When we got there they were just about to open. The square shape was jagged, my skin was still stuck to the backs of my nails at the end, no hand massage. The paint job was sloppy and not touched up even after multiple requests. The final color didn't match the sample color chosen. Left with a bleeding finger. Half way through I requested a different technician and they wouldn't take over despite having 3 free ladies. This review is based on 2 accounts of getting my nails done here. The first time, I might've rated it a 3.5-star place. I walked in on a busy, late afternoon and didn't have an appointment. Luckily, there were 2 technicians readily available who helped me. They sat me down and worked away. The technician doing my pedi was fabulous! I didn't catch her name, but she was super smiley, didn't talk too much, and did a near perfect job on my toes. The other technician doing my mani was also very sweet and smiley, but she had quite the shaky hand. :( This resulted in a messy mani paint job. She was an older middle-aged woman, and I wasn't sure if she had a condition or just had tired hands, so I didn't say anything about the messy paint job. They otherwise got the job done quickly! The second time I went, I called to make an appointment just in case. I was helped right away and had the same technician who did my pedicure last time (YESSS!). If anyone knows her name, that would be great. She has a bit more of a dainty personality, and long black hair with some blonde in it. She did an excellent job on my manicure! Again, basically perfect. I was in and out of there within 25 minutes. ***FYI - I'm not sure if calling to make an appointment actually does anything, I'd recommend just walking in early right when they open! Both times I've gone, I've observed the owner/manager lady answer the phone for a customer calling to make an appointment, and I've noticed that she just says "Ok, you're all booked". But every time she says that, she doesn't record anything down?? I've also seen some customers come in, claiming they made an appointment via phone, and they've had to wait in queue to be served. All in all, this is something I suspect of a lot of other nail salons, too, so just prepare to wait or come during off hours! read more

My pedicure was fine and so was the gel manicure but the girl doing my nails seemed like she was in such a rush just to get me out that it just ruined the experience. I contemplated for a while before deciding to write this review as I have been coming here for on and off about 3 years now and never have any bad experiences until yesterday. Generally speaking, all the nail techs here are pretty consistent and will deliver. I will be nice here and say that the lady I had this time was having an "off" day because my full set is pretty terrible. I've had her before and she never messed up like this. She is very rough on my nails pretty much all the times I've had her. I never complaint but this time the skin on the side of my fingers (multiple) were cut from her filing and one of them was bleeding which she also saw. I just brushed it off and let her continue. The worst part is that she couldnt place the tips on right. Theyre all hanging on top of my real nails instead of being flush so there's a giant gap. The thumbs are the most noticeable. I dont know if I even want to go back there for them to fix it. You know they will talk shit about you in Vietnamese if you have any complaints LOL but they just dont know that I can understand it. read more

DON'T BOTHER Bad service altogether. My appt was booked a few days before the appt. We showed up only to find 4 other people with 10am appts and 3 employees. So they asked us to come back. (I learned later that the owner was out of town that weekend - she should have planned for this and NOT OVERBOOKED so many people!) My niece and I returned to the salon at 11am and had to wait another 20 minutes before my niece was asked to sit in the chair for her pedi. Then made her wait in the chair another 15 minutes before her service started. I had to wait 30 minutes before they had me sit at one of the stations for a mani and then the guy proceeded to do my nails and another customer's nails going back/forth every 10 minutes. This was not a relaxing experiencing! To top it off, he had to remove my existing polish. Since he was in a big hurry, he put a bowl of boiling hot water in a stainless steel dish, then put another dish w/nail polish remover on top and hand me soak. This liquid warmed up so fast and started burning my fingers. Other salons wrap your nails with cotton/foil and allow +10 minutes to soak. He then proceeded to remove the polish with a sanding tool. I showed him there were was still a layer of old polish on all the nails. He didn't care. He just made an excuse saying - oh, it looks better because your nails are too thin. They are not thin. H was just taking SORTCUTS!!! Then when he was done with the dip portion of the service, he tried to put me under the LED light. I told him that at other salons they don't use the light and I wanted to avoid it. So he proceeds to put a regular coat of polish on which left the nails looking like the dull powdered color.
