The July sun around noon hits the back creekside tables and will heat things up relatively quickly. The umbrellas make a BIG difference. The food is solid and the ranch is excellent! I enjoyed the pickle/peperoncini addition. I enjoyed the curry chicken sandwich flavor on the croissant. But the croissant did sort of crumble under the weight of the ingredients. We got there within an hour of opening and wasnt very busy but the crowds did come and go in waves. Assuming this place is very busy during the week as its across from the College. The sandwich was delicious. Nice crusty bread that holds up to the meat and au jus dip thats by default served on the side. Comes with a bag of regular salted chips and a pickle. Meat quantity wasnt thin or alternately packed but it was tasty. The giardinnera was SPICY but flavorful. Next time will absolutely ask for the sandwich to be dipped (you can also get cheese but why? And I love cheese... but no) We paired our sandwiches with a beer and enjoyed the people watching. They get a wide array of clientele. Will be back!

I only saw three or four orders being delivered to tables during that time (one table had 6 people sitting and waiting). I guess they're understaffed; I decided not to contribute further to their workload during our visit. We went across the street to the Oak Tree for breakfast the rest of our time at the Ashland Hills - they had real table service with a cheerful waitress and it took 15 minutes from order to delivery. The cauliflower wasn't super spicy, but it was super tasty so we weren't mad. The place is a brewery but we had cocktails. My husband said it was the best margarita he had on our trip and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. My Paloma was also good! Overall, we were super pleased with our visit. Gluten free items are marked clearly and there is also a gluten free bun and pizza crust to choose from. The burgers had well toasted (crispy!) buns and were loaded with veggies- delicious and much needed after 6 hours in the car. My step little loved her breakfast burrito- it was huge! We will hopefully be stopping by here again for lunch on our way home.
