Sooooo good! I've been on a sushi craze lately, trying places all around town. This is definitely my favorite right now! The staff was really friendly and attentive. The food was put together in a really cool, artistic manner. My boyfriend and I went for the first time a few months back and the service was pretty good, and the food was fantastic. Then, we went for a second time and it was amazing! The sushi is to die for. The servers are attentive. The cooks are so great! Decided to try this place. Did the online order and was told I would get a call when ready. Plan for 45min. Order wasn't ready until three hours later. Tried to cancel and was told it couldn't be refunded until the following day!?! Got to commiserate with a number of other customers in the same situation. I'd give it a 1 but the two hosts that were trying to hold it together without a manager on site tried their best. Won't give this place a second chance. read more

Wonderful dinner! Was greeted right away when we walked in and seated immediately. The decor was a crisp modern feel which was great except was not great for acoustics. This was amplified by a family with several screaming children, but not the restaurants fault. After a long look at the menu (great happy hour pricing!) we placed our order of soup and 4 rolls. While waiting the manager brought us a shrimp tempura appetizer complementary since it was our first time! They were beyond belief delicious!! The rolls came, and I have never been presented with such a beautiful display. Japanese culture values the aesthetics of the food more than taste, and this was the most beautiful presentation I have seen! The texture and taste were spot on as well. It was very interesting that the rolls used a little less rice than I am use to, but I liked that. Our waiter was very attentive and kept my water glass full, which is quite a feat for me. We were then advised to check in on yelp so we can receive a free tempura cheesecake. We did so, and that was the best thing of the mean! I was stuffed and we still licked the plate. I look forward to going back in the near future as it was a very stimulating and pleasurable experience for most of my senses (hopefully next time the parents will leave their ill behaved child at home so my ears can enjoy as well). read more

Finally stopped in to check this place out with my family on a Friday night. I was glad to see the place wasn't packed. The place is nicely decorated and a few of the staff seemed a bit inexperienced, but overall it wasn't a bad visit. They have a pretty decent sushi and entree selection and a full bar. There a plenty of rolls to choose from and to be honest, I felt a bit overwhelmed. After the first five, everything looks the same. When trying a new sushi place, I always order my usual favs; dynamite, Kama, tatare, yellowtail jalapeño sashimi , seaweed salad then for my fam, chicken teriyaki for my youngest and a Spider-Man roll for my oldest. The portions are pretty darn big so for the price, I would say it was well worth it. The quality of the fish was just mediocre, not great. Everything came out pretty fast and we even got a free cheesecake tempura from unlocking a check in from yelp. I only gave this place three stars because even tho the portions were huge, I personally think they can spend more money on better quality fish with smaller portions. If you're craving sushi and don't want to wait to be seated and for a decent price, this place may be worth it to check out. Wife and I decided to try this place before covid, and liked the sushi, plus it was close to home so even better. We've ordered it numerous times since the shut down, and it's been good, my only complaint would be, that the order never seems to be ready when they say it will be, and that's with them telling me 30-45 minutes some orders. That seems excessive for a pick up order, but I'm hoping it's just because other patrons are ordering from them instead of the larger chains. Food has always been good, but the sexual references in all of the food names are confusing. Would be odd to have a young child join, that can read, unless you're trying to find a good way to discuss the birds and bees. read more

First impression was good and I liked the interior design a lot. Pleasantly surprised with how good the sushi was. Had a lot of interesting rolls and a lot of variety on the menu to choose from. A lot of the rolls used imitation crab which I would try and avoid since I'm not a fan of it. Stick with the fish-based rolls and you'll be happy! Simply average. The establishment was empty when we arrived, which we assumed was due to the after lunch rush (but their lunch special start at 2 so... I'm not so sure). Honestly nothing was terrible about this experience, it just wasn't great in a lot of aspects. To begin we sat at the sushi bar, which is usually a great place to view the sushi being made and get a decent sushi experience. Needless to say the seats were uncomfortably short. Even my boyfriend who is 6"4 still had the bar counter at his upper chest. So, no sushi view. But what we could see as our sushi was prepared was rather dissapointing. The rice on our basic happy hour rolls were not only lacking but essentially left our roll BALD. For a sushi restaurant they really ought to consider putting some behind the counter with the proper experience that doesn't make the food underwhelming and mediocre. Overall, we ordered a miso soup, spider roll, salmon roll, and unagi don. The miso soup being the best. Spider roll being the worst not because of flavor but more so because of the lack of composition. The roll was not made to be stable or pretty, and quickly fell apart as we reached out with our chopsticks. The unagi don was just OK, the rice below the fatty eel wasn't the traditional sticky rice with rice vinegar and it didn't allow for cohesion as a dish. Especially since it was served in an awkward in between of a bowl and a plate. This made it for a messy time, especially considering the initial handicap of the awkwardly short seats. I'm simply disappointed that this has been one of my first sushi experiences since moving to a land locked area. Happy to know that I won't be making this stop again during my time in CO. Grocery store sushi is far more reliable. read more

3rd time in a row my to-go order is not correct. I cannot believe in my bag there is NO soy sauce, NO Chopsticks, No napkins. Also my order is wrong, I paid extra for spicy mayo on the rolls and no spicy mayo as well. Last time they didn't put in my salads, before that they forgot my soups and additions like extra cucumber, mayo etc. Make sure you check your order cause something is most likely to be missing or wrong, waited an hour for my to-go order to be incorrect. Reviews online seemed solid. I ordered the food to be delivered to my hotel room while visiting the area. I ordered teriyaki steak and shrimp tempura. I recommend you skip the tempura - especially for delivery. They may have better, but mine was mushy inside and had a panko coating versus tempura batter. The negihamachi roll was perfect and the tuna hand roll was heaping with high quality fish and not too much rice. The sashimi and nigiri were absolutely delicious but I was disappointed how small the pieces were. Not disappointed enough to remove a start.
