I came to this place after reviewing the yelp reviews and I am glad that I tried this place! Both the small and large intestine were tasty. The owner also cooks the meat with flame to get the meat to a perfect crisp. The prices are more reasonable and the environment allows you to enjoy your food while having fun conversation with your friends. We were waiting for a restaurant that served traditional gobchang around here and it finally arrived! We ordered combination (abomasum, small intestine, and large intestine) that came with your choice of soup (soybean paste or kimchi), steamed egg, and different grilled sides (potatoes, sweet pumpkin, baked cheese, pineapples, sprouts, onions, and garlic). Another dish we ordered is their kimchi noodle. Side dishes were minimal with good seasoning. Just wished that the steamed egg wasn't so overcooked and spongy. The rice was a little dry for my taste but I'm sure they can easily improve that. The soups were a little salty but didn't bother me too much. Small intestine and abomasum were good but some large intestine was a little chewier than expected. The seasoning was minimal, which was what we were looking for because many places oversaturate it with sugar and salt. Kimchi noodle was okay unless you're really into cold kimchi. Service was good but when it started getting busy, it seemed like the workers weren't sufficient enough to cover the capacity the restaurant was designed for. Overall, it was good and we will be returning to try out different foods on the menu. I have to add that it's slightly overpriced for the amount of food you get. We went on jan 1st to celebrate our first date night to open the year 2020. It went superb! First we were surprised the place was opened on new year day. It was passed lunch hour. So it had less crowd. Which we kinda doubt it but we enjoyed the attentiveness of the server. We ordered the combo. And plate came out in a perfect timing. The pork intestine tasted like how we wanted; no porky smell, crunchy as roasted thru and the soup that came with it. Again, the attentiveness of the server, has spoiled us that we didnt even lift a finger on the grill and thong. Def will make a come back! read more

This place is actually so good. I normally don't care for steamed egg that much because it's usually pretty basic and plain, but theirs was legit crack cocaine. It was seasoned and had cheese on top, and I nearly couldn't stop eating it. Soup was also tasty. The intestines were great paired with the onions and chives. My boyfriend and I got small + large intestine and tripe. The tripe was a lil tough, but it adds texture if you want something with more crunch. The small intestine was our favorite, but the large intestine was super good too. It wasn't overly fatty/greasy. Definitely would go again! I was amazed at how great the food was. read more

Food is amazing. Im korean and im very picky about the proper taste of this particular dish. Most of the other places does not have the clean authentic korean taste but this place does. ONLY place I know of that compares ro Korea. The aunty there really knows what shes doing. Also the noodles, top notch. The server there, a young man (Joseph) is very friendly and very diligent. I think they need improvements more than now. The only good thing was fancy performance like fire show right after the gopchang came out. When it came out, It looked so great because there were many vegetables and sides with gopchang on the pan. I was excited but after several bites i was disappointed. The meats and vegetables were mixed together and were not heated evenly.(Some vegetables and meats were cold but some were hot) Also after server turned off the heat, the meats and vegetables were cool off so fast. I tasted the meats were too greasy when the meats went cold. The service was okay.. but for the food quality, they still need a lot more improvements. read more

There are at least 2 other restaurants that specialize in selling intestine in the area and this place is by far the least possible restaurant we might return. Stumbled onto this gob chang place and I keep coming back here! i love how its not overly seasoned where i can actually taste the meat. Their ban chan is really good too.. steam egg and soup that it comes with the combination. They also give you this dessert drink at the end apple juice with yuzu in it - so delicious! So glad they opened a gob chang place in orange county i don't need to drive to LA to eat it. If you go with 3-4 people, large combination is good with another side dish. Our first visit was made on late evening of Sunday, so wasn't crowded and food was served quickly and we liked food, atmosphere and services. The second visit was Friday evening and as so we had to wait over 30 minutes but it was durable. While we were waiting, the owner kept taking care of waiting people. I didn't enjoy eating Gob Chang. In particular, Daechang is so greasy that I have rarely eaten it. But Daechang wasn't greasy here and it was really delicious. And the side menu was really good. Looking for a new gobchang place in oc? You should try this place. This place opened recently and became my new favorite gobchang place. Service here is pretty good here and quality is awesome. I recommend you to try TRIPE when you get a chance. I never been any place with awesome tripe like this even tho I'm not a big fan of it. So many gobchang places in Buena Park now. KHD used to be my favorite because their meat quality and tenderness is so good.. but I think gob chang has risen to my #1 spot. What makes gob chang so good is their other food items! The cheesy egg is sooooooo freaking good.
