I'm rating specifically on the kimbap and anchovy broth they serve in the hot cups for free while you wait for your order. I'm a pescatarian so my orders were a bit limited... I was craving kimbap and kimchi. ordered the fish cake anchovy perilla kimbap. Yes, to the kimchi. Both delicious!! I actually really love this kimbap and wish I ordered 2!! The kimchi is delicious! I think I will stop by for another kimbap before I head back socal!

Gogoma is a welcome addition to the Placentia/Fullerton area serving Korean comfort foods with friendly service. Upon three visits here- the standouts for me are the tuna/crab kimbap, spam and egg kimbap, ddukbokki (very nice spice level and perfectly cooked egg) and lastly the sweet potato with a side of honey miso sauce. They also serve complementary barley tea and anchovy broth, which just feels like home. This is Korean comfort food at its finest. Highly recommend Gogoma when you're in the area!

Want a grab a bite? Or lunch? Or dinner? This is a great spot for that. Great for to go orders and sit downs. They have anchovy soup for you along with a simple menu that looks and tastes pretty delicious. They got good portions and ample parking in the shared lot. A little walk doesn't hurt if the closest ones are full. It's a chill environment inside with some Korean music playing. It looks like they have a setup to do a little snack shopping to add to your meal if you want to add some extra umph. Haha will stop by again if craving some bibimbap or salads

Glad I finally got to try this place out. I liked it a lot and will definitely be back. When you enter, you can order at the register or use the little kiosk they have by the side. I used the kiosk and it was really easy to navigate and use. I got the OG Kimbap, spam and egg kimbap, gogoma (sweet potato), and the bibim bowl. The kimbaps were pretty good. Nice and fresh and very flavorful. I really liked the bibim bowl. Thought the price was a bit high, but it is actually quite a lot of food and worth the price, imo. They give you a lot of protein and it was really tasty when you mix all of the ingredients together. My coworkers also all liked all of the food. Pretty small and simple menu, but i would like to come back and try some of the other kimbaps and maybe even the new ramen I saw on the menu.

Highly recommend this place. Cute little shop near CSUF. We got the gimbap, the spicy pork bowl, chicken katsu curry, and ttaekboki. Try them out. The bulgogi in the gimbap was a little dry for me but good nonetheless. Will try their other gimbap next time. They were so nice and loved that there is water, barley tea, and anchovy broth available when you eat in.

Excited for this place to grand open and to have a Korean bunsik restaurant in the area!! Giving this place 5/5 for the service, set up, and straight forward menu that is reasonably priced. The food was a little on the lighter side flavor wise but still solid and fills the Korean cravings. I got the OG kimbap, the spicy anchovy kimbap, katsu bowl with non spicy curry, the sweet and spicy pork bowl, and ddukbokki. I would say my favorite item was the spicy anchovy kimbap- really good flavor, jam packed with filling and minimal rice (which is the way I like it). Our boys enjoyed the katsu. It was a perfect amount of food and crispy. Big bonus was the free anchovy soup with self serve green onions. I shamelessly had three cups of it while I waited for our food that was cooked fresh. The service was really great. They were welcoming and answered questions cheerfully. They also shared some information that was good to know such as they plan to grand open at the end of the month with a larger menu but that the soft opening menu would likely be the staple menu items moving forward. They also pointed out the convenience store that they were planning to have open to the side of the counter when they grand open. I thought the concept was really cute. I will be back when they grand open for sure! Wishing this restaurant a lot of success.

GoGoMa absolutely nailed their take on bibimbap. The BimBim bowl included perfectly seasoned beef, crisp fresh vegetables, a rich runny egg, and just the right amount of spice from the gochujang. Every bite had an amazing mix of texture and flavor -- savory, fresh, and comforting all at once. You can tell they put real care into balancing the ingredients instead of just throwing everything together. Easily one of the most satisfying and flavorful bibimbap dishes I've had in a long time. Definitely coming back for this again!

Craving a quick snack and stumbled across this spot on yelp! A variety of Kimbas say lesss :) The menu is still limited since they're in their soft opening phase, but they already have a solid menu. You can order at the kiosk with photos (which I loved because I'm a visual eater) or go straight to the counter. I chose the kiosk so I could browse all the pics first. I ordered the Spam & Egg which came with a side of kimchee. WINNN!!! It was the perfect little snack & hit the spot. They also had complimentary anchovy broth. Honestly, on a cold and rainy day, it was perfect. SOOOO warm, so comforting, and so good! The restaurant was super clean inside and out. The staff were friendly too. Definitely a cute spot to stop by if you're craving a quick bite! I will coming back to try the new items :)

It's currently a soft opening here, and we wanted to check it out and see how this new local Korean restaurant was with my family. We ordered from the Kiosk of a spicy anchovy kimbap, the katsu bowl, a bibimbap, and a topokki. We were all very impressed! The interior and food were all very clean and well organized. The kimbap had a bit of a kick which was delicious. The topokki has different kinds of rice cakes which makes it more fun, and I was surprised to see that it came with an egg and some dumplings as well. The katsu bowl comes with a side of curry, and the meat is super tender and juicy. The bibimbap has a lot it meat and veggies. It's all at a great price point. On the side, you have a self serve area with w broth you can enjoy with some green onions and pepper. We're happy to have this new gem in the area!

Tried GoGo Ma and got the chicken katsu bowl, fried dumplings, roasted Korean sweet potato, and kimbap. Chicken katsu was the best thing I ordered 10/10. Super crispy, good flavor, and the grilled onions in the bowl made it even better. Fried dumplings were also 10/10. Crispy and really flavorful. Roasted Korean sweet potato was another 10/10. Soft, naturally sweet, and the miso honey butter on the side made it even better. Kimbap was my least favorite. It wasn't bad and still had flavor, just not something I'd order again 6.5/10. Overall really good spot. I'd come back for the katsu and dumplings for sure.

So I stopped by GoGoMa for lunch today! The parking lot was pretty packed and the place was fairly easy to find. Once I walked in, the restaurant seemed clean and cozy. I got the OG Kimbap and got some free anchovy soup with it. The OG Kimbap was fresh and delicious, maybe a bit pricey for what it is. Will be back for other Kimbaps in the future!

I stopped by GoGoMa in Fullerton for their soft opening and ordered the crispy bowl, which is their curry tonkatsu bowl. It was excellent. The katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The curry had great flavor and just the right amount of warmth and richness. It's a simple dish done really well, and sometimes that's the best kind of meal. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu once they have their grand opening. read more

Yummy! Came through for a snack last night. First time at GoGoMa and glad they came to the neighborhood - the items I got were perfectly delicious. The Korean Caesar salad with anchovies and seaweed was perfection. A fun twist to a classic salad and it was very filling. Also ordered the OG kimbap which has bulgogi, spinach, carrot, egg, and pickled daikon with rice wrapped in nori. Yum! Savory and delicious! I'll be coming back to try more items from their menu. Wow! Food was amazing! Chicken katsu satisfyingly crispy and was very moist and perfectly cooked. Great taste with tons of flavor. I also got the Eggie Kimbap which is the spam and eggs with rice and seaweed. I've never had kimbap served with the spicy Kimchee sauce and it's seriously the best compliment for kimbap. Especially if you're on the go and want a quick snack. 100% excited for this place and will come again. Highly recommend! read more

I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of this Korean joint and it did not disappoint!! I dined in and started with the OG Kimbap ($7) followed by the Crispy Bowl ($15) that included a side of curry. The two dishes were phenomenal ! The Kimbap (10 well sized pieces) was freshly made and was very tasty. I paired it with their complimentary broth with freshly cut scallions and it was a perfect duo. I should've stopped eating and taken the rest of the food home but when the crispy chicken w steamed rice and a side of curry came out I couldn't resist!! The outside of the chicken cutlet was nice and crispy to perfection and the chicken was moist and flavorful. Definitely recommend! The staff are genuinely kind. Very knowledgeable about the menu as well. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, is clean, and I like that they have a touch screen on the side that you can place your order and pay. read more

I've been waiting for GoGoMa to open and they opened today for their soft opening! They've made this place very cute and bright! The front cashier staff were very sweet and friendly and patiently helped me to explore their menu. Currently they have a limited soft opening menu but will be adding more items to it soon. They also have a side area where they will have a "convenience store" section. Not sure what they will carry but I'll be back to check it out! I got the food to go - OG Kimbap and the Crispy Bowl. Both solid!!! The Crispy Bowl is like a katsu chicken - so crispy and juicy - on rice with a side of curry for dipping! The kimbap tastes homemade. It's a smaller portion but priced well for it. Cashier greeted me with a smile and asked if it was my first time. I appreciated her friendly demeanor. She asked me to look at the menu and to feel free to ask her questions. I ordered the OG kimbap, spam kimbap, and Korean Caesar salad with anchovies and a side of chicken katsu to go. Food came out fairly quickly. Spam kimbap was so pretty with the checkered design. It just had egg, spam, and rice. The egg texture was weird to us. But maybe others are used to this style of egg, but we don't prefer it. The egg was super creamy and soft so maybe dairy was added to make it that way(??). We enjoyed the OG kimbap overall, which was presented really nicely, but it also had the egg with the super soft texture in it. I'm glad I tried the Caesar salad, but I don't think I'll order it again. It's a preference thing, but the dressing was a tad too much for me. Maybe it would have gone well with rice because of the savory anchovies and nori. I like the self serve water, barley tea, and anchovy broth station. That's a really hospitable gesture. The restaurant has 6 tables total and I saw a big group leaving when I came in, so it's easy to move the tables around to accommodate a larger group. They also have some little snacks and drinks to purchase on the side. I'm looking forward to when they expand their menu and offer catering. I would return to try other items. read more

I drive up and down this street every day and have been waiting for Gogoma to open. I finally got the chance to dine in and I honestly have only great things to say. The service was amazing, super friendly, and welcoming but most of all the food was absolutely delicious. I've been to a lot of places like this (분식) and I have to say this is easily one of my favorites. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. It's was refreshing to have a fresh kimbap as the ones I'm used to are always premade. I'm really happy this place is so close by because I'll definitely be coming here a lot. Pleasantly surprised by the food at this Korean snack shop! it's a cute, spacious, boonshik restaurant for all the typical quick bites. My favorites were the original gimbap and curry katsu. Friendly staff, clean interior, and a little section of Korean snacks that has better pricing than Hmart! We weren't too hungry and had left over gimbap and it didn't spoil the next day so u know it was made fresh! Reheated the gimbap with egg and some truff hot sauce and it was soo good! Will def order more next time. read more

My roommate and I live near this place and were excited to see a restaurant open in this old building. We ordered the tteokbokki and og kimbap and they were both excellent. The food was a really good deal and it was served to us hot and freshly made. The bulgogi in the kimbap is tender and flavorfulmake sure to get it with a side of the kimchi sauce, it's awesome. We love supporting new local business so we finally stopped by our latest little neighborhood addition. Place is small but bright, clean and cute. We loved the art work. They actually should add more. The young man who welcomed us and took our order was awesome. My hubby, 10 year old niece and all decided to order different bowls so we could try it all. We also ordered the The OH Kimbap. The Spicy Pork Bowl, The Katsu Chicken Bowl with curry, The Bipim Bulgogi Bowl were all delicious! They all came out in a nice sized bowl with steamed rice and veggies. They also give you a side of kimchi. The hubby and the niece super loved The Bipim Bowl. My favorite was The Katsu bowl because it was super crispy. We also shared The OG Kimbap and we loved that too. We can't wait to go back. Good food and reasonably priced. This place was amazing! The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was very clean & welcoming. I ordered the fried dumplings, spicy chicken katsu, and kimchi. The dumplings were perfectly fried and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The kimchi was fresh and had the perfect amount of spice. The chicken katsu was cooked perfectly. It was crisp and on a bed of fluffy white rice with caramelized onions. It came with pickled daikon that gave a freshness to the dish and I appreciated how the spicy curry sauce was served on the side since I ordered it to go. Spice level was great! I honestly could have done spicier, but it gives it a nice kick with great flavor. If I lived closer I would come here all the time. read more

Today is our first visit. We ordered OC Kimbap and Spicy Fishcake Anchovy Kimbap today. Their quality is excellent with sufficient filling with great flavors. I am so afraid getting sushi or kimbap with added sugar on the fillings. GoGoMa's fillings make me feel comfortable. Will definitely go back to get their Kimbap again. read more

Had a serious kimbap craving on a road trip and was so happy to stumble upon GOGOMA. Even though the kimbap is pre-made, it's absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful ingredients and really well executed. The service was incredibly friendly and impressively fast. They're located in a converted old Taco Bell, which is surprisingly cute, and they have a lovely patio for outdoor seating. Would absolutely go back! read more

Gogoma is such a pleasant addition to the community. As an indecisive person, I appreciate the simplicity of their menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the Crispy Bowl and the Korean Cesar. The chicken katsu was tender and juicy on the inside and just the right amount of crispy on the outside. As for the Korean Cesar, it's my favorite salad! I can't describe it in a way that'll do it justice. Just try it. I spoke to the owner and it sounds like they're opening a convenience shop inside the restaurant in the near future.
