It is not my favorite buffet, but the service was good, the food was what I expected and we were full when we left. They fit the bill but it was extremely crowded, a lot of the food was precooked, packaged and fried as needed. It was hard to get to the drink station because of the number of kids. I had mashed potatoes and gravy, pot roast, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. All were delicious. The variety of food made it hard to pick, I knew I would be full. I did have room for a half and half ice cream cone. I probably won't go back just because of the crowd and no option to only buy a one trip salad bar. The ad on the website, said they over a menu offer for single plate offerings, but that is not true, it's $27.00 + drink

Where hungry people come... My first time here. $15.99 for senior citizens (not bad). My husband comes here all the time and wanted me to check it out. We came for breakfast at 8:45am Sunday morning and everything was freshly made and there were only 3 other tables occupied when we got here. It was very nice, very clean with a great huge selection of food to enjoy including omelets made to order, desserts and drinks, and I really enjoyed the salad bar too. Service was prompt and friendly (always coming by to check on us and take our empty plates away). It's now 9am as I write this review and it's starting to get packed. So I'm really glad we came when we did.

Chili that was so dried out.

I was so excited to see that they had a Golden Corral in Fresno because it is closer to my home than the Bakersfield one. I was so disappointed. Everything, and I mean everything was cold and old. We got there at 5 pm. One hour after the dinner hour started. The fried fish, which I was so looking forward to was so cold. The hush puppies were so hard that when I but into it, it literally exploded and crumbs went everywhere. The corn board was dried out and cold. The desserts were all old and dried out except the cream puffs. They were frozen. Much of the food was low quantity and the manager was walking around. Don't know why they weren't refilling the bowls. We paid $23 a plate plus $4.99 for sodas. Never going back there. Felt like I threw my money away. Sad because they have so much potential. Their restaurant is quite nice inside. Sad their food isn't up to par!

Definitely best AYCE AMERICAN/MEXICAN food! The have a variety of american and a little bit of mexican food fushion here. They have differnt menu all day long. Breakfast and lunch switch over is at 11am. Lunch and dinner switch over is at 4pm. Heads up, they stop cooking 30 min before closing. So plan ahead. FRIED CHICKEN : I heard that the chicken here was the best on the menu. Unfortunately, I disagree with that because the chicken is flavorless. It reminds me of school chicken wings. It's very basic/mediocre. There's barely any seasoning. The batter is very thin and a little off which doesn't go well with the chicken. I had it when it's fresh and hot. I just don't think this chicken is for me. RATE : 1/5 SCRAMBLED EGGS : I kid you not! This was actually one of the best dish on their menu! Yes, it's just a basic scrambled egg but they did an awesome job making this dish! They perfectly beaten the batter to where when they cook the egg, its so fluffly, wet and moist. It was lighlty seasoned already so you don't need salt. RATE : 5/5 BEEF TAMALES : Oh heaven! The masa you guys! It's chefs kiss! Its freshly made so it's very nutty! That's what I love about these tamales. The pulled beef was well seasoned. RATE : 5/5 EVERYTHING ELSE : Everything else is also a good 4/5 to 5/5 stars. They did an amazing job with these basic dishes! Everything was made fresh. RECOMMENDATION : Honestly, their breakfast menu was my favorite! The lunch was okay. The didn't change over a lot. Only a few items. Same thing with dinner. Some dishes from breakfast are also on lunch and dinner menu. I also recommend going 30 min before they switch over. Just so you get to see both menu's. DESSERTS : I wouldn't go for their desserts. Everything taste mediocre and low quality. The only thing I love from their desserts is their Albanese Gummies, cotton candy and icee. Their ice cream taste like salted water ice cream. It's not the good creamy ice cream. RATE : 2/5 SOUP/ SALAD/ FRUIT BAR : Great variety of selections but the fruits are canned fruits. I wish they had more fresh fruits. They change up their soup during change over. It's great to see different soups here. They have about 3 or 4 each rotation. It's a mixure of American and Mexican soups. RATE : 3/5 SERVICE : Great service! Our server was really friendly and attentive. He kept our water filled and table clean. RATE : 5/5 AMBIANCE : The first thing when I sat down that I notice was the smell. It reminds me of nursing home. There's actually all ages where there. Besides that, everything is nice and clean. Even the table warmers were clean. It was really spacious! They do have quit a lot of guest there but it's feels quiet there because of the soft music. I also, love their plate station. They have blue gloves next to the station for food born safety. RATE : 5/5 OVERALL : All I have to say is that this place beats every breafast location out there. Their price is also unbeatable too. $16 dollar for all you can eat breakfast is a steal! Majority of the dishes are cooked fresh! It's always hot and filled! Their quality of breakfast menu is top tier. I'll give the chefs credits for this. You guys did an amazing job. Keep it up!

We came on a Thursday morning and we were the only customers inside. We were served by Sherri. She was absolutely amazing. She was very attentive and make sure that my kids and I had everything that we needed. She offered to get our drink and make waffles for my kids food that I eat tasted good and was fresh at the time it was put out.

We had a really great experience here at Golden Corral. What started off as a negative experience quickly turned into an extremely positive one because of the outstanding customer service from Frank. At first, we didn't even know Frank was the general manager. He was out on the floor collecting plates while my wife and I were sitting at a booth. He noticed I hadn't eaten my enchilada and kindly asked, "What was wrong with the plate? How can we improve? What didn't you like about it?" That immediately showed me he genuinely cared. I explained that the enchilada just wasn't to my taste and felt dry, like it needed more sauce. I also mentioned that the sauce on the grilled chicken didn't sit well with me personally. Instead of getting defensive, Frank listened carefully and responded professionally. He thanked me for my honesty and said he appreciated the feedback because they are always looking for ways to improve and make the customer experience better. I also told him that one of the best things Golden Corral has is the steak and chicken bar, and that's one of the main reasons we came there. Again, he listened and acknowledged everything respectfully. I then mentioned that it would be great if they offered Menudo. Frank immediately replied, "We have Menudo, and this is what we can do for you." Not only did he make it happen, but he personally went the extra mile for both me and my wife. That level of customer service is rare nowadays. That's when Frank introduced himself as the general manager, and honestly, it made complete sense. You can clearly see he cares about his job, his customers, and the success of the business. Golden Corral needs more managers like Frank. Frank understands something important that many businesses overlook: if customers are leaving food unfinished on their plates, there's usually a reason behind it. Instead of ignoring the problem, he acknowledged it and looked for ways to improve. That mindset not only creates loyal customers, but it also helps reduce waste and saves the company money in the long run. My wife and I truly appreciated the professionalism, care, and effort Frank showed us. Because of him, we will absolutely continue coming back. Thank you again, Frank. Your hard work and leadership do not go unnoticed.

We not going anymore, I can tell the food was looking funny My husband got some shrimp and they smell like if there were going bad. The enchilada looked so dry. Plus the price was way too much. They need to do better

Went here during dinner on a weekday. Parking was good and there was no line at the register. Dinner was about $23 and I just got a water cup. They have a host that will ask how many in your group then you walk you over to your table. The establishment is clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I heard that the fried chicken was good here so that was the first thing I looked for and I had to wait a couple minutes for a new batch because everyone got them haha. Then I got some chicken pozole and steak. You can ask how you want your steak cooked but I just asked for whatever they had ready. I had to wait for the chicken to cool because it was freshly cooked. The chicken skin was tasty and the chicken meat was good also. My steak looked like it was cooked medium which is how I liked it and the pozole was good also. The okra and the potato wedges were eh because they were just warm and a little hard.. I feel like it would've tasted better if the heat temp was higher maybe? Out of the desserts, I really liked the carrot cake and ice cream. The churros were a little hard to chew so I tried to dip them in the ice cream to soften it lol Overall, the food was okay and I probably would just come here again for the fried chicken, steak and desserts lol

    Highly recommended

Made a catering order for thanksgiving and wow the prices are amazing. I've never had this buffet before. I made the order online which was super simple. Ordered the roast pork and turkey dinner. Each dinner comes with a half tray of mash potatoes and gravy, dinner rolls, a whole dessert I'm talking about whole pumpkin pie and a whole carrot cake. Those were my choices I selected. Another half tray of stuffing with cranberry sauce and your choice which I chose Mac and cheese. I came in to pick up and the place is clean and nice. I didn't get to walk around but picking up was a breeze, I had like 5 large bags which they helped take to the car. Food was good! I did have to tweak the gravy a little with my own seasoning. Also Mac and cheese was basic but still did the job! Stuffing was too mushy not much people touched that. Overall the roast pork was tender and seasoned really good, little bit salty but that's just from all the dry rub. It was like a steak. The turkey was cooked well and still kept juicy and moist. I gave every from convenience, pricing and food taste a 7.5/10! They really came through. Plenty of food too! Only thing I would change is if we can pick all sides. I don't mind it automatically coming with mash and gravy but the stuffing wasn't it. If you're looking into catering for the holidays, put in an order from here.

I really like that there's different stations where you can have teppanyaki or soup made just the way you like it. The dessert area had a cotton candy station and crepe station too! This restaurant was huge and nicely organized. We managed to get here on time before the lunch rush. I was able to see the queue flow out the door! I made a bowl of beef pho. It was alright. The broth was kind of dull. The woman who prepared it for me was great though. She asked me which toppings I would like and was very friendly. I also visited the crepe station. The crepes are made to order and filled with ice cream. I had strawberries on the side to complement it. That was pretty tasty. At the buffet, the sushi was on par with most AYCE sushi. Although, I was surprised to find that they had tamago available. It wasn't too bad but the rice was had a dry texture. I was really excited for the crab legs here, but those were hardly refilled. I was lucky enough to grab a couple at some point though. Overall, this place is good for its price. The selection offers something to satisfy anyone's craving from dim sum, seafood, tacos, enchiladas, pizza, etc. The service is excellent too. Tables are frequently being cleared and servers make sure that cups are always refilled.

Not to mention a build your teppanyaki area! Everything here is made fresh, including the sushi, which was one of my favorite items. There's literally four sushi chefs making it constantly so as soon as the plates are empty, they can be refilled. That's basically the same strategy for all of the stations here. As soon as anything started to run out, the staff was refiling it. My kids loved it with my son trying his first raw oyster... he's not a fan, LOL. The food quality has gone downhill, which is disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The food tastes like freezer Chinese food rewarmed. Our large party was automatically charged a 15% gratuity, yet the service didn't justify it. Our server only brought water once and never refilled drinks till we were leaving. We were seated at the only table they have for large parties, located in the back near the dessert area. The table was wobbly, appeared to have a folding table added to make room, and was cramped and uncomfortable. What I don't understand is why large parties are charged extra when the seating and service are no different from any other table in the restaurant. If you're paying more, there should be better accommodations or added service, not the same experience everyone else receives. After two disappointing visits this year, I won't be returning. It's unfortunate because I used to love this restaurant. I suggest to go to another place for large parties or for business events. just fyi it was almost $300 for 5 adults 3 children. Also on a previous visit I went two hours before closing the food quality is extremely horrible and they don't refill the food anymore. They started mopping it smelled like dirty mop. Still charge full price. They just let you eat whatever is out. Sad to say

You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

Everything had the same smell to it. It must be the fish sauce or vinegar that they use or something. But the smell and taste was overwhelming. If I just ate the noodles of the chow mein, that wasn't so bad but that was it. The sweet and sour chicken was ok, and for the most part, the chicken salad was ok except the pieces of chicken again, had that same taste. I can't really describe it. Anyway, those two dishes are the only reason I gave 2 stars. I normally love leftover Chinese food for breakfast the next day. Not this, I had to throw it away. And that's a crime in this economy.

The included mash potatoes were a favorite for my husband. The bananas (baked? Fried?) were one of my favorite parts of the dinner. All the meats were not super salty this time around. They rotated the items quick and we got to try a bunch of stuff. Drinks were also tasty. We decided on the mojitos and I was recommended a mango peach with tajin rim (solid choice). For dessert, we got crème brûlée which was just okay. Easy to skip. Small detail, but they didn't have any kind of complimentary anniversary treat (at least mot for us lol). Every other nicer (and even not as nice) restaurant we've been to for our anniversaries/birthdays came with either champagne or a dessert to celebrate. They did go through with decorating what we ordered though. Not a huge deal, but just something to note if you're planning to celebrate anything. Overall, we'll definitely be back again. We had a great time and it felt like a great date night spot.
