We had a really great experience here at Golden Corral. What started off as a negative experience quickly turned into an extremely positive one because of the outstanding customer service from Frank. At first, we didn't even know Frank was the general manager. He was out on the floor collecting plates while my wife and I were sitting at a booth. He noticed I hadn't eaten my enchilada and kindly asked, "What was wrong with the plate? How can we improve? What didn't you like about it?" That immediately showed me he genuinely cared. I explained that the enchilada just wasn't to my taste and felt dry, like it needed more sauce. I also mentioned that the sauce on the grilled chicken didn't sit well with me personally. Instead of getting defensive, Frank listened carefully and responded professionally. He thanked me for my honesty and said he appreciated the feedback because they are always looking for ways to improve and make the customer experience better. I also told him that one of the best things Golden Corral has is the steak and chicken bar, and that's one of the main reasons we came there. Again, he listened and acknowledged everything respectfully. I then mentioned that it would be great if they offered Menudo. Frank immediately replied, "We have Menudo, and this is what we can do for you." Not only did he make it happen, but he personally went the extra mile for both me and my wife. That level of customer service is rare nowadays. That's when Frank introduced himself as the general manager, and honestly, it made complete sense. You can clearly see he cares about his job, his customers, and the success of the business. Golden Corral needs more managers like Frank. Frank understands something important that many businesses overlook: if customers are leaving food unfinished on their plates, there's usually a reason behind it. Instead of ignoring the problem, he acknowledged it and looked for ways to improve. That mindset not only creates loyal customers, but it also helps reduce waste and saves the company money in the long run. My wife and I truly appreciated the professionalism, care, and effort Frank showed us. Because of him, we will absolutely continue coming back. Thank you again, Frank. Your hard work and leadership do not go unnoticed.

Salad bar & omelettes to order

Where hungry people come... My first time here. $15.99 for senior citizens (not bad). My husband comes here all the time and wanted me to check it out. We came for breakfast at 8:45am Sunday morning and everything was freshly made and there were only 3 other tables occupied when we got here. It was very nice, very clean with a great huge selection of food to enjoy including omelets made to order, desserts and drinks, and I really enjoyed the salad bar too. Service was prompt and friendly (always coming by to check on us and take our empty plates away). It's now 9am as I write this review and it's starting to get packed. So I'm really glad we came when we did.

Definitely best AYCE AMERICAN/MEXICAN food! The have a variety of american and a little bit of mexican food fushion here. They have differnt menu all day long. Breakfast and lunch switch over is at 11am. Lunch and dinner switch over is at 4pm. Heads up, they stop cooking 30 min before closing. So plan ahead. FRIED CHICKEN : I heard that the chicken here was the best on the menu. Unfortunately, I disagree with that because the chicken is flavorless. It reminds me of school chicken wings. It's very basic/mediocre. There's barely any seasoning. The batter is very thin and a little off which doesn't go well with the chicken. I had it when it's fresh and hot. I just don't think this chicken is for me. RATE : 1/5 SCRAMBLED EGGS : I kid you not! This was actually one of the best dish on their menu! Yes, it's just a basic scrambled egg but they did an awesome job making this dish! They perfectly beaten the batter to where when they cook the egg, its so fluffly, wet and moist. It was lighlty seasoned already so you don't need salt. RATE : 5/5 BEEF TAMALES : Oh heaven! The masa you guys! It's chefs kiss! Its freshly made so it's very nutty! That's what I love about these tamales. The pulled beef was well seasoned. RATE : 5/5 EVERYTHING ELSE : Everything else is also a good 4/5 to 5/5 stars. They did an amazing job with these basic dishes! Everything was made fresh. RECOMMENDATION : Honestly, their breakfast menu was my favorite! The lunch was okay. The didn't change over a lot. Only a few items. Same thing with dinner. Some dishes from breakfast are also on lunch and dinner menu. I also recommend going 30 min before they switch over. Just so you get to see both menu's. DESSERTS : I wouldn't go for their desserts. Everything taste mediocre and low quality. The only thing I love from their desserts is their Albanese Gummies, cotton candy and icee. Their ice cream taste like salted water ice cream. It's not the good creamy ice cream. RATE : 2/5 SOUP/ SALAD/ FRUIT BAR : Great variety of selections but the fruits are canned fruits. I wish they had more fresh fruits. They change up their soup during change over. It's great to see different soups here. They have about 3 or 4 each rotation. It's a mixure of American and Mexican soups. RATE : 3/5 SERVICE : Great service! Our server was really friendly and attentive. He kept our water filled and table clean. RATE : 5/5 AMBIANCE : The first thing when I sat down that I notice was the smell. It reminds me of nursing home. There's actually all ages where there. Besides that, everything is nice and clean. Even the table warmers were clean. It was really spacious! They do have quit a lot of guest there but it's feels quiet there because of the soft music. I also, love their plate station. They have blue gloves next to the station for food born safety. RATE : 5/5 OVERALL : All I have to say is that this place beats every breafast location out there. Their price is also unbeatable too. $16 dollar for all you can eat breakfast is a steal! Majority of the dishes are cooked fresh! It's always hot and filled! Their quality of breakfast menu is top tier. I'll give the chefs credits for this. You guys did an amazing job. Keep it up!

Went here during dinner on a weekday. Parking was good and there was no line at the register. Dinner was about $23 and I just got a water cup. They have a host that will ask how many in your group then you walk you over to your table. The establishment is clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I heard that the fried chicken was good here so that was the first thing I looked for and I had to wait a couple minutes for a new batch because everyone got them haha. Then I got some chicken pozole and steak. You can ask how you want your steak cooked but I just asked for whatever they had ready. I had to wait for the chicken to cool because it was freshly cooked. The chicken skin was tasty and the chicken meat was good also. My steak looked like it was cooked medium which is how I liked it and the pozole was good also. The okra and the potato wedges were eh because they were just warm and a little hard.. I feel like it would've tasted better if the heat temp was higher maybe? Out of the desserts, I really liked the carrot cake and ice cream. The churros were a little hard to chew so I tried to dip them in the ice cream to soften it lol Overall, the food was okay and I probably would just come here again for the fried chicken, steak and desserts lol

Made a catering order for thanksgiving and wow the prices are amazing. I've never had this buffet before. I made the order online which was super simple. Ordered the roast pork and turkey dinner. Each dinner comes with a half tray of mash potatoes and gravy, dinner rolls, a whole dessert I'm talking about whole pumpkin pie and a whole carrot cake. Those were my choices I selected. Another half tray of stuffing with cranberry sauce and your choice which I chose Mac and cheese. I came in to pick up and the place is clean and nice. I didn't get to walk around but picking up was a breeze, I had like 5 large bags which they helped take to the car. Food was good! I did have to tweak the gravy a little with my own seasoning. Also Mac and cheese was basic but still did the job! Stuffing was too mushy not much people touched that. Overall the roast pork was tender and seasoned really good, little bit salty but that's just from all the dry rub. It was like a steak. The turkey was cooked well and still kept juicy and moist. I gave every from convenience, pricing and food taste a 7.5/10! They really came through. Plenty of food too! Only thing I would change is if we can pick all sides. I don't mind it automatically coming with mash and gravy but the stuffing wasn't it. If you're looking into catering for the holidays, put in an order from here.

I went here with a friend on Black Friday recently around 7pm and there was a long wait. It was about a 20 minute wait in line to reach the counter. Once we were seated, they advised us to have at least one of us at the table the entire time so that the workers won't get confused and think we left. When I walked through the buffet and looked at the options, I felt like the variety could be better. This is an American food buffet which has options like pizza, pasta, enchiladas, fried chicken, steak, icecream, and cake. All the food was good, BUT it was all cold which I wasn't a huge fan of. I'd recommend this place if you're ok with eating cold or lukewarm food. It's also a good place if you love fast food style items. I'd say my favorite item I got was the enchilada and the steak that day since those were still lukewarm. I also think it's cool how you can watch the chefs cook the steak too.

Went here for lunch on opening day, which was a mistake. It was busy, and they couldn't keep up. The line for the fried chicken never went down, and they were still transitioning from breakfast to lunch. What I did try was very good, and the salad bar was nice. I'll definitely go back in a few months when things hopefully calm down.

When I left around 1:55pm, the line was out into the parking lot. $30 adult, $2 fountain drink, $36.45 with tax. I was greeted and sat at my table and my drink was brought out quickly. The tables, silverware, and plates were clean. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance. Next time I'll bring gloves though. It's busy, but not too disorganized, it seems people were going the opposite direction of most buffets, so at times, I couldn't tell if I was cutting in line or not. Everytime I went to get more food, my previous plate was removed and any spills cleaned. Even though there are a ton of people eating and walking around, it's surprisingly not that loud. I'm giving you a four because of Sebastian and his great customer service. We did also speak to the chef on duty to give some feedback on how our experience was. Now to the honest criticism I've been here a few times and each time had some issues. This time around my dad says let's support the business. I'm not sure if business is a little rough right now or not but we definitely do like to support local as much as we can. We started off with 2 appetizers steak bites and mac and cheese. The steak bites were good. The barbecue sauce is not needed. The mac & cheese had good seasoning and flavor, but roux was not done properly cause it did have a grainy texture. We also ordered a bottle of wine to go with dinner. We did wait a while for our food to come out we did all order steaks, medium rare. Unfortunately, they were more medium than mid rare, al of the steak dishes did come with veggies and a baked potato that was fully loaded. I ordered their $22 special that was a steak with shrimp and a baked potato. The steak was well seasoned. I did like the butter that was placed on the top cause it did melt into it. The shrimp was good. They did pair it with a dipping sauce that had a spiciness to it. I tried it. I didn't eat it. I just had the shrimp with lemon. My steak was more medium than mid rare, but it was juicy full of flavor. I did finish it. I didn't have a chance to eat the baked potato because there was a lot of food on my plate. My daughter wanted her steak, medium rare, and she was disappointed because it was medium. She does like to have her steak looking bloody. I felt that the proportions on each dish was enough each plate average $40. The mac & cheese was $18 and so was the steak bites. Our bill did come out to $260 for four people to eat. That's including four dishes, two appetizers, a bottle of wine and one soda. A few things I do want to add they need to add some kind of tint to the windows because they're in direct sunlight that feeds into the dining area. We all know, Fresno is pretty hot during the summertime so we definitely need to make sure the air is running and there's some kind of shade to prevent the sun from hitting you directly in the face.

This place has been in my regular rotation since they opened and I have never had a bad meal here…read more The concept is a family style hot pot restaurant where you cook your own protein, vegetables or noodles in a flavored brother. You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

I went during peak hours on a busy day, and seeing the place packed actually made me feel a bit more secure. I figured with that many customers, the kitchen and salad bar would naturally stay fresher since the food is constantly being cycled out. While I still think any establishment should keep things up to par regardless of how slow it is, the difference in freshness this time was really noticeable compared to my first visit when it was dead. The service was great, which is a big win for me because even in my last review, I mentioned the service was the one thing they got right. I'm really glad to see that's still super consistent here. As for the food, they had a lot of "trendy" meats that I've been hearing about. I think it's a cut that's been all over TikTok the Picanha cut? I might be wrong on the name, but I'd heard people talking about it and it was super good and very tender. The biggest improvement, though, was the consistency. I'm glad I was actually able to enjoy the meal this time!
