I brought my car in this morning because Midas (the one down the street) told me I needed new brakes and was going to charge me 800 dollars after bringing my car in for an oil change. I called golden triangle for a quote and it was much less than that but they also told me they would start with a break inspection. I just received a call from David letting me know that my brakes are in perfect condition and they won't need to replace them. They are very honest and trustworthy! I will definitely be back. Took my car in for maintenance, got it back with a noise that never existed prior to bringing it to this place. $2,400 later brought it back in and was quoted $700 more to fix the noise. They told me the story was a " he said she said" -as "she" I said nothing other than the truth. After multiple phone calls regarding the price to fix the noise they decided to fix it for " free". The owner was very kind and the guy I spoke with wasn't ever rude either. My jeep is old and rusty so I'm not too particular. My steering wheel shakes violently when I parallel park still. I had just gotten my brakes replaced a couple of months ago but my car was already shaking again. Took it in to Golden Triangle and they gave me a call, probably within an hour or so, and told me they had identified the issue (cracked rotor apparently). They replaced my brakes again, changed my oil as requested, and even got my key fob working again! Had my car back by 2pm despite them being short handed. Took my car in for an oil change. When they called to tell me it was done, they told me that I needed all new break pads and rotors. They made it sound as if my breaks were on their last leg and that I needed to spend $1000 immediately. Little did they know, I'm not completely clueless when it comes to cars, and am certainly capable of changing my own breaks. So, I take it home, and go get new break pads. When I get my wheels off I find break pads that have thousands of miles left on them and rotors that are in pristine condition. Certainly not in need of urgent replacement! If you are not knowledgeable about cars, do not believe a word that these shysters tell you, and always get a second opinion. read more

If I could rate this business 10 stars I would. This is by far the most trustworthy and efficient shop in the Denver area. They truly care about their customers and it really shows in their service. They are affordable and consistent. I wouldn't take my Jeep anywhere else. Today I am here for a routine oil change, but previously I brought my Jeep here to have engine work done. They were able to take in my Jeep and return it the same day. I have not had any problems since then. They also follow up with customers to ensure the vehicle is running smoothly after services. Woke up this morning and every single warning light in my car was going off after a really cold snowy night in Denver. I left my car alone for a few hours and came back to the flashing warning lights still going off. I love my car and the thought of somehow ruining it by driving it when it isn't safe was really upsetting. My first thought was to reach out to Golden Triangle Auto Care as I had my oil changed there a few weeks ago and was satisfied with the service. Not only did they answer quickly, saving me the headache of having to call a bunch of places trying to get ahold of a mechanic, but they offered to squeeze me into their busy schedule today to confirm the car is safe to drive. Golden Triangle was able to run a code check and help me determine if the vehicle is safe and made an effort to help me get the warning lights to stop flashing. These guys are awesome. I'm sure they do a good job but it felt like they were trying to rip me off. I gave them all the specifications for my car when I asked for an AC repair and easily got an appointment set up. But then they quoted me $190 for a diagnostic when I came in which seemed pretty steep. About 2 hours after dropping my car off they called me saying that they found out my car had a "different AC unit" than they thought even though I was abundantly clear in the specifications of my car to begin with, and proceeded to quote me $385 just for a diagnostic. Long story short, I told them to just leave my car alone and it took me all of 2 phone calls to find a a shop that could quote me $235 less for a diagnostic and have my AC fixed within the day. Like I said I'm sure they do a good job but definitely do you research before you accept a quote at this place. read more

If you need an honest mechanic, consider Golden Triangle. I initially took my car to them when a parking curb pulled off the plastic undercarriage on front of car. They weren't going to charge me anything because the little plastic screws are cheap and it only took minutes but offered that I could give the guy that did the work a tip. They could have charged me $20 and I'd have paid it. So when the cooling fan went out, where else would I go? They worked with me on payment (I paid half so they'd order the part) and advised me to park the car until the part came in to avoid doing further damage. read more

I took my old Prius to two other mechanics in Denver, and they both recommended a bunch of expensive repairs. Problem was the two places did not recommend the same work. So I took my car to Golden Triangle for a third opinion, and they gave me honest feedback that actually made sense, even saying some of the work that was recommended at the other two shops wasn't necessary! If there was NO stars, that is what I would choose. The first time I took my vehicle in for repair. I had him look over front end work we did. He said he would check it out and look it over. I brought two new tires in for replacement of existing tires. He called and told me they were the wrong size. No problem, he said he would through them in the back. I was under the impression he was going to give my tries back of my truck. He through them away! And charged me for mounting no tires. Business ethics is not a strong point at this repair shop. read more

They were very communicative using both text and phone calls through the process which was awesome. I dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready by 1p. No, no, no, and no! Tilden gave me a quote to replace a radiator, put on rear brake pads and get a new battery for $1900. When I heard this I started crying.. I couldn't believe it would cost that much! Apparently it must be difficult to repair the radiator because they said it would take 4 hours at $100+ a hour. The man at the counter seemed offended when I came and picked up the car, I paid him the $60 for the diagnostic and went on my way. I did some more research and purchased a OEM radiator and brake pads online for a whopping total of $120. I also purchased a new battery for $126 at a local automotive store who installed the battery for free! I had another auto mechanic install the radiator and break pads and this mechanic charged me only $226. Yes, you read that right. It took this mechanic only 2 hours to do everything. I'm still slightly in shock that Tilden would charge so much do this same job. This review is mainly to let others know if you get quoted an exorbitant amount of money from this company get another opinion. It's too bad that situations like this happen, and I'm sure that I'm not the first person Tilden has tried to take advantage of. read more

Car repairs, always anxiety provoking, right? Not at Tilden Car Care Center...I found their coupon at one of my favorite coffee haunts for a standard service. I called on a whim and they got me right in. I knew I was in need of some preventative work as well so I asked them to look things over closely and they performed a 30 point inspection that gave me some helpful information. They gave me good advice, no pressure and easily got my vehicle in for repairs while I was out of town on work. They literally had a days worth of work done on it by 3pm on the first day they had it in the shop. They were very gracious about keeping my vehicle all week. Moving it in and out of the shop at night to keep it secure and also identifying a small additional piece of work that would help get all of my problems solved that hadn't intially been noted. I appreciated the fair advice, reasonable prices and timely action on completing the repairs. Its always hard to find a repair shop that is convenient and trustworthy but I think this is a score. I would recommend these folks for sure. I will reserve the 5 star review for continued service and satisfaction results...whcihc is my typical appraoch! read more
