My wife and I bought a new Focus a few months ago. She was excited because it was her first car here in the states. Our sales man was good, but the amount of times they called to tell us they needed "just one more thing" or for us to come in again was ridiculous. They first said the financing was all set then asked for another 500.00 OK, maybe 500.00 doesn't sound like a nasty surprise to most people, but when you are a college student and a family of 1 1/2 incomes instead of 2, you tend to plan very carefully. I am incredibly displeased with this dealership. We came in today, after verifying with their online sales consultant that the Nissan Murano we were interested in was available for purchase, only to be told that it actually isn't because it didn't pass safety inspection. Of course, the salesman was willing to show us two other cars that we were not interested in. As we were driving home, I called to check the availability, only to be told it had sold the night before. The online sales consultant had emailed me at 10 am today to schedule a time for me to come see the Murano. My guess is that this car doesn't actually exist and was never for sale at their dealership. If that's the way that Golf Mill Ford does business, with bait and switch, we don't want anything to do with them. I have bought many cars from this dealership but the last two years the dealership has been very disappointing. We bought a used vehicle from them and within a year it had major electrical issues. They told us to buy a certified Ford from them and we did in hopes we would not have any issues. Within a couple months that same certified ford was in the service department. The service had it for almost two weeks and updated modules and fixed one thing and hoped the truck was good to go. Here we are a few months later the truck shuts off multiple times when driving. Took back to service and was told they couldn't give a loaner because they didn't have any and that my vehicle wouldn't be looked at for weeks. Then magically they told me the Verona's certain codes and the repair would cost over $800 dollars to repair. One of which was $360 for spark plugs. My husband works in the automotive field spark plugs cost $5 dollars and takes less than an hour to repair. When we told the dealer no we would have our local mechanic change them they said that they can't guarantee that will fix the problem. I was told I had to have all original parts put in yet the got parts from the local auto part store to fix my truck. I was told it wouldn't be ready to the Monday to have it mysteriously fixed three days early because I refused to have them do the extra stuff they recommended like a flush and spark plugs. Do not buy a vehicle from here because they markup the prices drastically and you will be paying to much. I do not recommend them or their service department at all. read more

Their agents were also helpful before I arrived. Once I arrived everyone was friendly and helpful as far as helping me find the car that I wanted and working on financing. My check engine light went on. So I decided to take my truck to the dealer hoping they will tell me what the problem is. I did scan it with my scanner and read the code P0451. They did confirmed it and told me that I need to replace fuel tank pressure sensor which would cost $795 at their shop. I didn't have that kind of money at that time so I asked them to give me the part number so I can fix it myself (I usually fix my cars by myself). When I got home and started looking for part it appeared that they gave me the part number for the tire pressure sensor. I did pay $133 for this check up. They could've gave me the right number. ANother thing they were trying to charge me extra $17 for repairs which the didn't do. I asked them "what it is for?" They took the $17 charge off without any explanation. Will never go there again. For whatever reason my last review has been removed. Maybe because I mentioned names of bad employees, I don't know. However, this is my second time I purchased a car here. First time was bad too, but I thought I would give it a try again. First time here I bought a ford, I went there and the salesman tried making me lease a car, he was all nice and everything until I refused leasing a car. His whole personality changed. Instead of showing me a pre owned car I left. The NEXT day they call me back to come look at preowned cars. Let me remind you that's what I wanted in the first place. Second time I bought a 2014 jeep patriot also preowned. Financial guy kept losing my bank statements. Printed them out while I was there. Then days later my salesman I had calls me he needs them again. What a hassle. I got one floor mat, no manual (the financial guy told me to print it out, like I want to print 500 pages) then I only got ONE key...Now I know people that work for car dealer ships. They can do a purchase order for my key. Now I left this on my last review. The manager called, messaged and texted me. Every time I called ford he wasn't available. Therefore, I texted back the number that texted me. Never got a reply. This is over a month later. Will never go back here ever ever again. read more

Bought an Escape in 2009 during cash for clunkers. I like the car, but hate the dealership. When I bring it in for service, it must be the worst service at a dealership I have ever seen. I waited over 2 hours for an oil change that they quoted to me 45mins, even with an appointment. I walked over to see the mechanics (service bays) and almost all of them are talking, smoking cigarettes, or not doing work. There were so many people waiting in the wait room for their cars to be fixed. Here is the WORST of it all. No apology for my simple oil change taking so long. When I finally got my car back I was driving to the exit of their parking lot, I GOT T-BONED. One of their guys was backing up a small van and he went so fast without looking. BAM!! TERRIBLE. Then as I waited for the police to come write a police report, other people waiting in the service waiting room walked over and each of them had horrible stories about Golf Mill Ford Service. If you look and pay attention, you will see the salesmen and service people are very UNprofessional. They act like little kids. Trust your instincts here. This is a review for their service department. I have been struggling with a really tricky problem with my old Crown Vic for a couple of months now, it intermittently won't start. I had tried a couple of mechanics previously and they weren't able to fix it. We thought we'd give the ol' Vic one last chance by taking her to a dealership. The car spent a business week up there, and sadly, they weren't able to fix it either. Why would I be leaving such a good review then, you might ask? Because they called to give me updates everyday, explained every thing they were looking into, understood this was likely some kind of weird electrical issue, and didn't just start tossing in a bunch of new parts like other mechanics had been to 'see what happens' while I'm bleeding money into it. I felt like they treated me with respect and listened to what I had to say about the car's history and repairs and didn't try to gouge us. Ultimately, they didn't even make us pay the standard diagnosis fee they charge for just bringing it in to be looked at - they cut it by half-price. Imagine my greater surprise when Rick, the guy I had been talking to, agreed with me that it was probably time for a new car and he didn't even try to push me to talk to a salesperson there. He offered to keep it longer and keep trying to figure it out, but after driving this car for 9 years and all it's other aesthetic/minor issues we just decided it was time for something 'new'. It would have been aces if they could have figured out what's ultimately taking out my 2003 Crown Vic, but I also really appreciate basic respect and when folks can just admit when things are unclear or unknown. read more

We drove from WI to visit this dealership after viewing several of their online listings that were at a great price. After looking at several Ford Escapes, we decided to purchase a used 2010 4WD Escape on their lot - only to find out after the papers were signed that the salesman had flat out lied to us about the vehicle being 4WD (it was only FWD), and that they had charged us almost $1,000 more than their online listing price for this vehicle. After bringing these issues up with the manager, the only resolution the dealership was willing to make was to refund us the difference in price between their online listing and what they initially charged us. And the only reason they did this is to comply with IL advertising laws. The employees at this dealership are great salesmen, but horrible at resolving customer service issues - we were talked down to the entire time, told that - despite the fact that both the salesman AND the manager had told us prior to the sale that this vehicle was a 4WD - it was our fault we didn't make sure this vehicle was a 4WD. And when the issue of the price discrepancy was first brought up the manager's first words to me were '(A refund) It's not going to happen', that 'Our online listings are like using a coupon, if you don't have it with you then you don't get the price'. If you buy a vehicle from this dealership, do you homework ahead of time and make sure you are getting exactly what you want at a fair price, because this business does not deserve the BBB rating it last received. read more

Communicating with this dealership is like pulling teeth. I've been trying to confirm if they have a Raptor in stock. First the famous "Jackie" sends me an email, leave me a voice mail, we exchange a few text messages, she stated that someone from the out of state sales department will reach out to me. That never happened, I sent a few more texts and didn't get a reply. They have a serious buyer, but they want to play games. My experience is spot on for what others have reported for this dealership. There are no excuses for them not to respond to a phone call, text or email. Took my girlfriend's car to get serviced today. She scheduled an appointment last week, she was supposed to receive a confirmation phone call, never did. We took the car in anyways for a recall and maintenance. We spoke to a guy at the counter, he was rude. He passed us on to lady, she then passed us on to a service manager. The service manager was polite. He needed us to schedule another appointment, his next opening was Dec. 15. Are you kidding me? He then said they would need to keep the car for a week. Had an experience there a few weekends ago and I will never step foot in there again. Let alone purchase a car from there. While waiting in the showroom, I overheard not one but two deals where customers were treated in a very abusive manner. One lady was beyond livid after being ridiculed by one of their managers about getting her deposit back for some reason or another. I was certain she was ready to call the police at one point. You have this feeling of being in a shark tank with sales guys just looking on like this is common practice of verbally abusing their customers. I probably wouldn't have taken the time to write about this but since then I've talked to other colleges who have had nothing but bad experiences at Golf Mill Ford so i thought i'd give some pointers to those who venture there from what i have heard. Get your keys from your trade back right away since they will do their best at convincing you that you won't be able to sell it on your own. Do NOT give them a deposit as with the example above.. Do not leave them a correct contact phone number or they will call you on a daily basis regardless of telling them not to call. It's unfortunate that Ford doesn't have a decent local dealership in the area. I had researched the pricing and knew what I was prepared to pay. Both Omar Youhanna, the sales rep, and Nick Sfiras, the sales manager, continued to work with me until we were able to agree on a price that was fair to me and their dealership. I never felt pressured, and consider the experience one of the best I've had in over 40 years of new car buying. They even had to drive over 200 miles to retrieve the exact vehicle I wanted from another Midwestern Ford dealer. The car was delivered a few days later in pristine condition, and everyone went out of their way to make the experience as pleasant as possible....And the final price I paid to Golf Mill Ford was just under $1,600 less than a comparable offer I had from another local suburban dealership. read more

When I finally confronted the manager about how I had to come out to GMF three times because his employees didn't know how to return a lease - he stared at me with a blank face that said, "So what? Will never go to this dealer again. This is the second time they've tried to rip me off on repairs. First time i needed ball bearings which is suppose to be covered under power train, they argued with me and told me i would have to cover it myself. Called a friend at another ford dealer and was told it is covered under my power train and fixed it right away. Took my car back to golf mill this past week 3/5 for regular oil change. Told i need tie rods, and new battery. Was looking at over 400$ parts and labor. I was sure when i bought my explorer at golf mill i bought extended warranty, they claim i didn't. Took my car back to ford dealer where my friend works and sure enough i have warranty and it's covered. This dealer is trying to rip people off and I'm sure they've done it to other people. Never really had an issue with quicklane. I do joke that their sales reps for their dealership are pretty aggressive when it comes to them approaching you to buy a car. When I bought my mustang, from a different dealership, I brought it in to get it serviced at quicklane and while they were servicing it, I thought that I would look at their nice inventory of mustangs. While I was going this, I was approached several times to trade in my mustang and get a newer one, even though he knew that I had just bought my new mustang a few weeks before. Overall, if you do want to get your car serviced, I would highly recommend you ask for Jonelle as your service advisor. She is great! I've never felt pressured by her and she was always been very accommodating to me. read more

The experience at Golf Mills Ford was as good as it gets in terms of a dealership. I've never had a better experience, they worked with me to meet my financial and personal goals. The only reason I cannot give them 5 stars is because car dealers have a way of doing business that I really don't care too much for. There are always downsides to buying a new car, unless you're oozing money and do not care if the deal is never as good as you know it could be. Their internet dept sent a quote on a car with VIN # on Friday Evening at 8pm. I went to see the car and the sales person came out with a different car. I was told they didn't have the car. Then I was told they had the car, but it was in their Oak Lawn dealership. After leaving, I went home and googled the VIN. The car was at another unaffiliated dealership in the area. Quick-lane Oil Change The Sales guys love my Mustang. And they replaced a battery under warranty with no issues. I took my wife's Buick in for an oil Change. I used their coupon and at checkout they tried to charge me an extra $10. Non standard oil they claimed. They removed the charge. The major rub is that they pulled the old "you need new brake pads and rotors" trick. That may work on old ladies but not a car guy. Sorry big fail. To top it off they did not top off my wiper fluid nor my coolant. Both were included in the oil change package. Not impressed. read more

Hands down the worst dealer ship to go to I bought a 2010 mustang gt that was suppose to be checked and supposedly had no issues. After 2 days of having the car I it had been rainy and I went for a drive and could hear a slouching noise in the trunk and it was filled with water I called obviously to complain and they told me to bring it in and was told it would be takin care of after it sat there for 3 days, come to find out the car had an unreported accident and had about 50 holes under the sheet metal and was about a $2000 dollar fix they then went on to tell me that they had no idea even though I was reassured they had done a full inspection, which was bullshit so I went to pick up my car to then find a dent in the door, which they of course had no idea about once again bullshit, and the managers proceeded to cuss me out and call me a piece of shit cause I wanted it fixed. I have a 2018 ford escspe. My car is supposed to be under bumper to bumper warranty and ford is refusing to repair it. The entire right side of the bottom of my car is hanging and ford is saying that I need to pay for it when they should cover it and apologize to me because this vehicle should not have as many issues as it does. Also, the vehicle has a pulling feeling when I'm on the highway. I specifically told them that the pulling does not happen when I drive on the street. So they test drove the car on the street only and told me they didn't feel any pulling. And if I wanted them to drive on the highway I would have to pay for time, labor, and tolls. That is so wrong. They are not honoring my warranty. Also, it is important to mention that they replaced the entire engine in September 2019. They sold me a bad vehicle. read more

I placed a factory order for a vehicle at an AGREED UPON MSRP. Went to pick up the vehicle, and that's when the stereotypical scum bait and switch behavior ensued. MSRP had increased $1100. First red flag. Fine I'll suck it up. But because the 'Market Value' had increased, they tried to demand a $4995 Customer Care Protection Plan or something. Took 45 minutes, back and forth, for them to remove. Multiple times the salesman tried to explain that they had to get prices up to the Market Value. So much for an agreed upon price for a factory order! Next, when I placed the factory order, the salesman said my trade in would be b/w $7,000 and $8,000. They offered me $4500. Shocking, I know. We settled on $5500 for the trade in and the new (increased!) MSRP. I even signed the (worthless) little paper that the salesman takes back to the manager 100 times. Great done deal. Nope, when he came back they had added another $895 'protection plan' of some sort. I told them no thanks, back and forth, up and down. They agreed, and removed it. Finally, it goes to Finance. Forty minutes later, salesman comes out and says I have to pay $300 for a 'Vehicle Theft Program', that its required and included in the price. Turns out, its NOT actually included in the price, its an additional fee that came from the finance office (among others), and its NOT required. I told them I didn't want it.
