never ever go here for dealership repairs!!! never!!! they are slow with service, lie about the status of the repairs and unreliable!!! I was told that if I got my vehicle in at 7:30 I could be out by 10-10:30, and was encouraged NOT to rent a vehicle. To make a long story short my vehicle sat in their lot for 2.5 hrs and never made it into the repair bay. Then I was given excuse after excuse, and everyone passes the buck and blamed someone else. The guy who made my appointment Steve, was not even in until 11 AM. I DEMANDED vehicle after rejecting a rental that was offered 2 hrs after arriving. And left the shop with none of my issues resolved. TOTALLY WASTED MY MORNING. STAY AWAY!!!! This place is why dealerships get a bad name. read more

Dishonest and unprofessional. If you value honesty, take your business elsewhere. I found a car on Cars.com at Golf Mill Ford. After some time, I finally got in touch with a salesman named Dominic and we talked about the car. We did some light negotiations and settled on a fair price. He said he would email me that night with more information and how to proceed with the sale.... I never received an email. However, the next day I looked at the listing on cars.com and found the price of the vehicle had been raised by a few thousand dollars. I assumed they decided they wanted to make more money on the car than what we talked about so Dominic was giving me the run around. I called them back to see what the deal was. First call, he picked up and hung straight up. I tried to get back in touch with him and he never picked up. I called the operator and asked for Dominic and I was told that he wasn't working today. Finally, I called and asked to talk with a sales manager who put me in touch with Dominic. Lies, lies, lies. Dominic said "oh, you didn't get my email? That car sold the night we talked." I definitely didn't get an email, and the price of the car was definitely changed that next day. Why would you change the price on a car that sold the day before? You wouldn't, and they didn't. Of course I understand they want to make as much as they can on a vehicle, that is their business, but dishonesty and deceit is not the way to do that. This is an actual response from the person who answered my phone call to the Golf Mill Ford service department with a call about my 2013 vehicle, which I purchased new from this dealership. It perfectly symbolizes the poor customer service you can expect at Golf Mill Ford. And when it turns out service and protection packages you purchased don't actually cover work that they are supposed to cover, this business considers it sufficient to tell you that the person who sold you the package was dishonest and no longer works there. But rather than make it right and cover the repair or refund your money, they tell you there is nothing they can do for you. If you value truth, transparency, and integrity, take your business elsewhere. Golf Mill Ford represents all the shady snake-oil sales practices most people hate about car dealers. If there were a way to rate negative stars, I would. I tried out this service department due to them being able to fit me in prior to the 2 dealerships closer to home. Worst decision I've made in the 3-1/2 years of owning my Ford Escape. The first time I went in, the axle and sway bar were replaced (under extended warranty). The noise that caused me to bring my car in to begin with continued to occur after getting the car back. So, bring on take two....Dropped the car off Tuesday after work. Didn't hear anything on Wednesday....Nothing by lunch Thursday so I message the service adviser, Bill Cotton and he tells me they put about 5 miles on the car and haven't heard the noise since the car had been back. He said they'd try one more time on Friday. I message him Friday afternoon and they still can't hear the noise. I said "OK I'll come pick up the car" and I go after work. (Keep in mind, each trip is 10-15 miles each way depending on home or work and all during rush hour!) They wash the car and bring it up front. When I climb in the car, the noise (a clicking type sound) happens clear as day without even putting the car in gear, just turning the steering wheel. I stand around waiting for Bill to come back, go in and ask someone to call him back over or ask for someone to come out and help and they say "He should be back shortly." 20 mins later....still waiting.....I go ask again and the cashier and runners explain service is closed at 6 so what is going on. (Thanks for telling me after waiting over 30 mins!!!!) I then explain to the quick lanes service adviser what is going on and he writes out another RO for the car to be left and worked on Saturday. Next morning, first thing - text from Bill (service adviser) saying I needed to come in Monday because they aren't hearing this sound and they can't do anything if they don't hear anything. (Understandable.) So I go in a couple hours later (Saturday) and hop in the car and there's no noise. Great! I take the car home. Saturday around 6:30- CLICK CLICK CLICK! I have my boyfriend take a video of the noise and I send it out to Bill. I don't expect a reply until Monday seeing as it's after hours Saturday and closed on Sunday but I didn't get a call or message or anything by Monday at lunch. Monday during lunch, the car is making the noise again so I set my phone to record the noise on video and send it out (11:30 am?) Haven't heard anything back by 5 so I call and leave a message for Bill. Then I call and leave a message for Dean (Service Manager). Follow up Tuesday with a text - no reply by end of day so I call again with no answer. Wednesday - same thing, so I call the service director, Bill and leave a message as well as Bill. STILL NO REPLY! Thursday at 2:51 PM I get a text saying "Hi Alison I swear I just seen this. I am sorry I was not ignoring you. That bing (*being) said Dean and I both listened to the video twice and really did not hear what you are talking about. I have to find one of my own loaners for you because i cannot put you back in an enterprise because you are out of days. and the speed you were going is definitely not parking lot speed. (I had to drive from one lot to another....note: when dropping off the car, I explained that the noise happens when turning the wheel when stopped or moving slowly.) When I get a loaner in. probably be Saturday bring it back in please. i will text you tomorrow and tell you if i have a car." At this point, I AM DONE! I paid my deductible for a problem you haven't solved. I want to go to a RELIABLE service dealership and I'm not paying again. I've requested a refund so I can have another dealership take a look under the warranty and was told "unfortunately not the claim has been submitted". So now I have to go somewhere else to have my car looked at and diagnosed because after dropping off the car the second time the only thing this service department did was put 5 miles on the car, park it, and wash it. I've filed my complaint with Ford Corporate. Here's one review. Expect as many more as I can possibly make. Send me my refund and be done with it!!!!!! read more

I'll be honest, I almost canceled my service appointment at this place after I read all the negative reviews on Yelp. Not having a conveniently located Ford dealer near my city apartment, this one is closest to my work. However, I was relieved and happy to find that I had an excellent experience here. My 2010 Fusion Hybrid started making odd grinding noises during and after braking. I figured it was typical brake wear, as I am at about 46k miles, but this being my first hybrid, and it having the regenerative braking system, I wanted to get a dealer to look at it. I also had some concerns about my MPG, and an interior piece of trim that was popping out. I made an appointment for 8am on a Wednesday, and was 30 minutes late due to my misjudging I-90 traffic. The service center didn't seem to have a problem with it. I got my car checked in with Rick, one of the managers, and he was polite and efficient. He called me about an hour later to report on the findings; the rear brakes needed redoing, nothing came up in the mileage check, and the trim needed to be ordered and installed at a later time. He suggested two maintenance jobs--throttle cleaning and fuel injector cleaning--that were due around the mileage I was at, but he clearly stated that it was just a recommendation, nothing more, and that the car was fine without them. The car was done a couple hours later, and everything looked good. A week later, the trim part came in, I got an automated call from their system to let me know, and I came back to get that installed, again with no problems, and it was done in about an hour. Overall, I was really pleased with this experience (aside from the fact that my extended warranty didn't cover any of the repairs, but I had expected as much). I'm sorry that other people seem to have had some bad experiences, but perhaps there has been a change in management or attitude over there, because I was honestly impressed. read more

There is a lot of criticism about this place but I must say my car buying experience was quick and painless. My VW Passat had multiple issues and fixing starting becoming more expensive than it was worth. My salesman Ray showed me the car I spotted on their website and took me for a test drive. There was no pressure and no worries when it came to talking about the finance and how much they'd give me for my car. Chris in finance didn't try to hit me with any hidden fees and provided me with a detailed explanation of everything. I would recommend anyone to come here and would give them my word that they great. read more

Everytime I come here for service they try to get me to spend at least $500 more than I need to on stuff I didn't ask for. Most recently, I came in because my heat shield was hanging below my car. All I wanted was for them to screw it back on or remove it. They told me they removed it, then I get home and check under my car and it's still there! Even the invoice says they removed it. So, they don't deliver on what they say they're going to do. I went back and they took care of it pretty quickly, but I doubt I'll be going back.... read more

I can't say enough good things about this dealership. In the last three months I have had to buy two used cars. Unfortunately I purchased the first one from another dealership, whose name will go Unmentioned because it will not serve this review. However golf mill Ford made the purchasing of our used Ford explorer extremely pleasant, and they were extremely fair. Fast forward to today when I had to get our first oil change. It seems that every dealership right now is backed up on service, and extremely overwhelmed. However I did not get any sense of this when bringing the car in today for our oil change. We arrived early for our appointment, and my wife who is nine months pregnant was not looking forward to spending hours in a dealership waiting for our car to be finished. But Steve in-service was extremely friendly, and very helpful, and obviously took note of our situation and did his best to get our car in and out of service in A reasonable time. You may have To schedule your service a week in advance, but when you arrive they make the process very smooth and pleasant. My wife and I bought both of our cars from Golf Mill... both times we waited over 5 hours to purchase a car. The customer service is great when you deal with a manager, but dealing with their regular sales guys, it seems they don't have their stuff together. I dealt with two sales guys to buy our truck... by the time we finally purchased the sales guy made three promises to keep us in the room: 1. each family member gets their own Ford T-shirt 2. we get three free oil changes. 3. we get an additional detailed car wash at the end of the year. Unfortunately, the sales men that we dealt with didn't communicate with each other and ended up making a scene arguing over whose check our shirts and oil changes were going to come out of. Finally, the manager intervened and split the cost between between both salesmen and my wife and I left frustrated and exhausted. Since my first 1-star review was removed, I'll be a little more detailed this time around. TO BE CLEAR, THIS OCCURRED AROUND 06/2014. So I decided to visit this dealership after finding a car online I was interested in - A 2006* Acura TL listed for sale at $13,000. It didn't take long after pulling up to be greeted by a salesman on the lot. I explained to him exactly why I was there but he quickly denied ever knowing of a TL on the lot. He was then super quick to make suggestions such as "You don't want an Acura! Why don't we check out some of our Fords vehicles." He then began to try to sell me Fords that were more then double the price of the TL I was interested in. It was like he couldn't hear a word coming out of my mouth. He proceeded to continue suggesting expensive Fords as we walked around the lot.. all I could do was laugh. Just as we were about to finish up our small lap around the lot, I spotted the Acura I had seen online!! - WOW can you believe it?!.. So we walked over to take a look at the car. As I was checking the car over, I couldn't believe the scumbag salesmen was STILL pushing other more expensive Fords on me. Having a bad taste in my mouth from dealing this salesman and not loving what I was seeing in the Acura, I got in my car and left. This was my first and only trip to this dealership. Until you can hire some decent salesmen who are capable of keeping the buyers interests in mind (even slightly), I will continue to warn others of your less than professional service. read more

OK, this review comes after all of my terrible experiences at Packey Webb Ford, so maybe I'm still in the "honeymoon stage" of my relationship with Golf Mill Ford. That said, I still loved the service I received here. I bought my Ford Fiesta at Packey Webb ford in May 2011 and was less than thrilled with my sales experience. I figured maybe the service would be better since the departments are different and I get all of my regular maintenance for free. Turns out, their service department sucks just as much as sales and they're all dicks. Enter: Golf Mill Ford. It was time for me 20K maintenance check and I decided to find another Ford dealership in the area. My hope was that this new place would become my new go-to dealer for all things Fiesta care. My first call to make the appointment to get service was awesome; super friendly, understanding and the guy (Charlie) told me to just come in right away and they'd take care of Fiesta in an hour. YES! My experience at the dealership's service department from start to finish was great. Everyone was super nice, answered all of my questions (I had tons of additional ones about winterizing, tire maintenance, etc.) and got me in and out in a little over an hour. Apparently there was even some kind of recall on software in my car and they just fixed it and let me know what the problem was later. Thanks! The $70 I spent on "The Works" oil change, tire rotation, filter change, blah, blah, blah, etc. was definitely worth it. I will be back here from now on for all my Fiesta service needs. After having a bad experience, I have been there 4-5 times since for various things (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) Since then, I have had excellent experiences. Very courteous staff, very timely maintenance. And they have a new system that would prevent my last issue from happening- They call you immediately when your car is ready. If you want to get ripped off and have your time wasted then Golf Mill Ford is the place to go, specifically with Jazmine Lopez "product specialist", "certified" wouldn't call it that, Also Wesley Polo "Finance Manager". 2 months ago I was approved and keys were given to me to walk out the dealership that same day. Now all of a sudden I'm not approved due to my paperwork not being "lined up" and demanded the car back. By the way paperwork and information I gave was straight forward from the start. How is it my fault that that Jazmine and Wesley alongside with Damian "Used Car manager"and Mario the so-called General Manager can't do their jobs right. Now I can't get my money back. Giving me a hard time getting me my down payment after I called before showing to the dealership saying that he had it ready to get picked up, have proof of phone call to which those words came from himself. Attorney General is aware of situation that's how bad the outcome is. Ohh by the way if you want to purchase the white 2016 Kia Optima LX, I would avoid doing so. He offered me a terrible deal on trade-in, I said fine as I wanted the new car. Essentially, he told me my money wasn't good enough because I couldn't come until the next day and he had someone else looking at it later that evening. I went to Ford looking for a new car. I chose to test-drive a car, and the salesman immediately helped me from the get-go. There was no pause or long wait time. If you are looking for a car at Ford, ask for Peter. He went out of his way to help me out. The car I wanted was sold out on the lot, so he went to look at different dealers. He went to one dealer for the car, but thought that car was no good for me and got me another ford escape. He and the sales manager, Mario, worked with me to help me buy my first new car. This experience was definitely five stars. My only negative was a little bit of a miscommunication about information that had the fiance guy, Bob, getting shouted at. Even when he was dealing with an angry customer, both Bob and Peter showed class and calm. The service was terrific and I would definitely do business again with Peter. read more

The only person to blame is me. I just feel that they want to get You in sign fast get the hell out! They don't explain what You are signing. Boy what a TERRIBLE place. Started the process of buying a truck from Jackie Swiatek. She told me someone would call me about the truck. No one called. Everyone asked do you want to text or call. I said call, but no one would call me back. I sent several texts, called and left messages and she never returned my calls. I had several other people email me about the truck but again no one would call me. I asked for Gus Kreatsoulas (Owner), Mario Sosnaowski (General Manager) email and no one would give it to me. So I left a message in the general email asking for one of them to call me. No response. I did talk with Nick Sfikas (General Manager) and boy was he rude. A John Colon emailed me about the truck Tuesday and I emailed him back and told him I spent all day Monday November 8, 2021 trying to purchase the truck for the listed price but this Jackie never would text me, call me or email me back. Women, don't trust the Quick Lane repair services. After my husband left, I thought I could trust them with telling me what needs to be done and how to maintain my Escape properly. They sold me three transmission flushes within 20,000 miles of each other. I finally got smart and read my actual Ford Manual and it said it's only needed every 60,000 miles. I was so stupid to trust them and believe they would be honest. Also I recently just got an oil change. Without even looking at my car, the salesmen rattled off what "i need to get done" based on my mileage. I got smart and said "no, until you look at the car and see if there's something wrong or worn out." Be careful. I love my Escape but would never trust them to be honest about what needs to get done for maintenance. I'm sticking to a local neighborhood repair shop. read more

I gave this location a chance to years ago when we were looking for a car for my wife. After a painful experience then I decided to go to a different dealership. Fast-forward two years later. It is now 2015 and I'm looking for a new car. I decide let's give Golf Mill Ford a try. When you walk in you are greeted by sales staff which I have no issue with, it is actually nice that they acknowledge you. I knew what I wanted so I came prepared. after stating what my "NEEDS" are for the car , they gave me the exact opposite. I said i do not want to test drive it they almost forced it on me. Very pushy sales reps, and very sneaky tactics. WARNING These guys prey on the eastern block Europeans and Hispanics. They look to offer you a car, don't tell you, and try to give you a high interest rate. They also lie to your face that you will get the deal you are looking for, and all they do is mark everything else up. Ford was offering 0% and they were trying to push low 2% on me. I was ok'ed for 0% at 3 other dealerships. When that little white piece of paper comes out you won't see the deal you talked about. Mine was $8,000 higher than what we spoke and was actually over the sticker price. if you tell them X amount for a down payment they will ask you to give more even if it is a generous amount which is 25% of the cars price. i would never go here again, or even bring my car in for work, EVER!! I haven't purchased a car from them yet, but the only interaction I've had with this place hasn't been wonderful. I came in after some Ford's had caught my attention at the Chicago Auto Show. Mind you I've never owned a Ford in my life, and I've always felt that they could do better with the cars they've built. On the other hand though, the new Focus has been catching my attention ever since they released the new generation. I came in for my test drive to redeem their gift card offer and to do some research on the vehicles and to see if I'd want to do business with Ford in the future. The visit started off rocky at best. I was greeted by a gentleman by the name of "Joe" who introduced himself the moment I stepped out of my car. I explained to him I was there for a test drive and immediately he assumed I was just there for the gift card and for a joy ride at best. He immediately dismissed me asking for the paper, and whether or not I was ready to purchase that evening. Now, i'm not the type of person to throw down 10's of thousands of dollars on a vehicle without doing some proper due diligence and economic analysis of my own. So unsurprisingly, I responded with essentially a "No". He basically filled out the form and told me he didn't want me to drive the car because it'd be harder to sell down the road with mileage. He showed me where the car was on the lot and that's about it. Needless to say I was offended. I walked back in to the dealership to pick up a brochure, when I was approached by another salesman by the name of "Sam". We started chatting about the car and he then offered to let me test drive the car. At this point, I had lost a lot of desire to continue my research so I just asked to sit in the car and get a feel for it. Sam was more than happy to oblige and answer any other questions I had. He also made sure to give me his contact information if I wanted to look again or take another test drive. In short, Sam's ability to salvage my experience kept what little interest I still had in looking into a Ford in the future. If I do any business with this establishment, I'll be asking for Sam Moushi. read more

I realize I forgot to come back here to give some more updates. Our contract was nullified because of the vin # error. They promised to refund once we return the car (we were prepared not to be surprise if they didn't). And they didn't have the refund on hand. Actually after 45-minute wait, the manager asked us to waste some more of our time and return the next day to get our refund. ?? We didn't fall for it and demand a signed receipt for giving the car back. They can mail the refund once and if they'll do it. We filed with Better Business Bureau. Few weeks later, we got the refund. Minus $400 deposit. No explanation for the theft. My advice to new buyers-- if you're not required to put down any deposit to take a car home, don't do it. If you want to make a deposit to make loan smaller, just pay this deposit amount with your first monthly car payment TO the bank, not to scammers. Made us pay $400 for THEIR "oops, we send you home with the wrong car"..... or you can say OUR mistake for trusting these "snakes" as some of you called them. New buyers... don't make the same mistake. Don't be scammed. Go to other Ford dealers with higher reviews. read more

With all the dealerships in my neighborhood I decided to drive an hour out from Joliet to come here and it was soo worth it. The staff was so nice and attentive on this super busy Saturday afternoon. I had an appointment with Muhammad and I'm lucky I got him to work with. I walked in with my family, he handed me the keys to the car I was interested in and told us to go have fun and we did! My dad's a long time mechanic so he checked the tires and looked under the hood. We had too much fun with that turbocharged engine. I fell in love! I absolutely needed to leave with that car. Muhammed worked so hard to help me stay within my budget! Very very happy with my 2013 CC it's just gorgeous. See Damian if you consider buying a car here! That said, the husband and I just purchased a 2013 Ford Edge from here. We love the car and Damian worked really hard to get us an amazing deal! He is not your typical pushy, sleazy car salesman by any means. We found him very knowledgeable, understanding and just overall easy to deal with. He paid attention to our needs, wish list and budget. Even our 5 year old loved him since he made her hot chocolate (she said he makes the best hot chocolate...haha). So save yourself the headache and seek out Damian and you will be happy with your experience here! I wish I would have read the other YELP reviews before purchasing here because now I'm a bit scared of going to their service department but I will review that at a later date when I have a chance to deal with them. :) read more

Bad experience.. first time going there. Very nice people but do not trust them with your personal information!

Fool me once.... I'll admit that part of the motivation behind creating a Yelp account for the express purpose of writing this review is that I'm embarassed to have fallen for these chuckleheads - again. My husband and I were looking for cars back and March and stumbled upon this dealership. Our salesman seemed nice enough, but we quickly became very turned off by all the "bait and switch", "let me go talk to my sales manager" tactics. When the time came for them to bring in the "closer", an extrememly condescending man whose mouth was writing checks that his intelligence couldn't cash, my husband and I cut our losses and left. Cut to last night - we were literally on our way to go purchase another car from a nearby dealership when the call came in from Golf Mill Ford - great deals, "we can work with you", blah, blah, blah - I gave them the vehicle price, exact number that we were putting down, how much we were going to pay per month, and what the buyout on my current vehicle was at the other dealership...I was so honest that my husband chastised me for "showing our hand", but in hindsight it proved to be an irrellevant concern anyway. Armed with a promise that they were already in the "neighborhood" of the numbers that I wanted, AND with a quick, double check on Ford's "build your own" site to "estimate my payment", we made a detour to Golf Mill Ford. To be fair, we were greeted with the same enthusiam that I heard on the phone, and politely handed off to a salesman who assured us that we were in good hands. "What color are you looking for?", "Excellent", "How about interior?", "Excellent", "What options are you looking for?", "Excellent", "How many months leasing?", "Excellent!" - he could tell right away that we were all going to "get along just fine". So, we test drove a vehicle that barely resembled what we asked for, (even though there were 40 (!) on the lot according to the initial phone call), and then set back down for the fun part, even though I apologized in advanced for not having time to play the haggle game and he concurred saying "Oh, no, we know where you need to be". I think he also said, "I've been here a lot of years and I've never known "them" to lose a sale over price". 6 minutes of coffee drinking and watercooler chatting with his salesman buddies later, he comes back with a number that, I swear I'm not being sarcastic, I didn't even recognize at first as a monthly payment. It was $190/month higher than the number we talked about, but even worse, it was $120/month higher than the number we had we talked in March - and there wasn't the "sale of the century" going on in March. My husband and I grabbed our things, stood up, and thanked them for wasting our time - again. Our BFF apologized quickly, ran back to the finanace manager, AKA coffee machine, and reappeared with some "closer" type that told us the problem was with our trade-in, (which admittedly has an inexpensive (we had it quoted), necessary repair but the other dealership did a diagnostic check and didn't have a problem with it, where Golf Mill Ford reved the engine for a few seconds and deemed it a liability. Perhaps I'm just not giving adequate props and respect to the Jedi Knights in the Golf Mill Ford Service Department). The final scene involved me demanding the keys to my car and my husband and I racing to other dealership to make our purchase. We even apologized to our sales rep there, for "straying". Perhaps less noteworthy, had it not come from my husband who doesn't notice trivial things, upon arriving at Jennings VW (gleaming review to follow), he commented that the place felt like a spa compared to the "seedy, dance club nightmare" that is Golf Mill Ford. I've purposely left off the names of the people that I dealt with at Golf Mill Ford because I think it is the culture of this particular store, and probably encouraged and sanctioned by the GM and/or owner. I envision training sessions that involve tactics like, "say anything you can to get the customer in the door and we'll take it from there". And sadly, I bet they get away with it because they get results. They just won't ever get my business. Buying a car is a glimpse into the underbelly world of sales as it is, but I believe that some places try less hard to "stick it to you", and even fewer try harder to hide the fact they're doing it. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. Saleem was very attentive and patient throughout the entire process.

Called Golf Mill Ford about a truck on their website. My question to the salesman was are you selling this truck from MSRP or is there a market adjustment. The salesman stated MSPR, I asked the question a second time to verify he understood, "are you starting this negotiation from MSRP minus my trade-in value. The salesman replied yes, its MSRP minus whatever your trade is valuated at. Drove 1 1/2 hours to get there only to find the most dishonest, repulsive lie. There was in fact a 20k market adjustment, instead of 53,375 MSRP it was now 73,375. Do not waste your time with these lying dishonest, untrustworthy and disrespectful employees of Golf Mills Ford. read more

The service team at Golf Mill greets you with a smile. They are friendly. But they consistently over promise and way under deliver. We have, regrettably, been taking our cars to them for the past 4 years. I was stupid. Not sure why I kept going back. But I will not be going back again. The latest mistake: They sold a special order part, that had been ordered for me, to someone else. And I didn't find out until I drove to the dealership for my appointment. They didn't know it had been mistakenly sold. And didn't tell me until I called back 2 hours later to check on their progress - job supposed to take 2 hours. I would find somewhere else to take your car for service. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice....you know the rest. read more
