I've bought a couple of Ford vehicles at Golf Mill Ford in the past and just last week bought another one and was offered a fair trade in on my 2015 sedan, which wasn't a Ford. I still have my 2012 Escape I bought from them, and had a Ford Focus before it got totaled in an accident. I go to Golf Mill ford for regular service and that's another reason I bought an Escape from them, again. They have good service. Another thing I noticed is that the sales people are professional, know their products, are well groomed and really care about their image. I have been a customer of Darwin Lonergan for a little over 11 years. I threaten all the time to go elsewhere, but I never would. Darwin is kind, thoughtful, and most of the time I feel he's far more interested in what would be best for me, rather than how much money he would make. But the main reason I'm loyal to Darwin and GM Ford is that I never feel that they're playing games with me. I mean, of course, their first response to any offer you'd like reduced is "no," but they come around to reasonable requests. More importantly, as a single woman, i always felt cheated when I left a dealership. BUT I never feel like I need a man when negotiating with Darwin and everyone else at GM Ford. I leave knowing that I got the best deal. Every time. Finally, they have a great service department that will pick up and drop off your car if you can't spend hours there. The only negative thing I can think of to say is that on Saturday, when I was buying my brand new car, there wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom. Worst vehicle related experience of my life. My wife and I are retiring and we bought a 35' 5th wheel RV. We found an ad for a used F350 diesel at Golf Mill Ford which looked promising so my wife went there to check it out. Her first question was, "will this be adequate to tow the RV?" They fully assured her that it was. When we went in to make the purchase we asked once again about the capacity again assured us that it was capable. We purchased the truck and two people there gave us supporting documentation. The problem was that the information did not match which made us suspect. So, we contacted Ford who put us in touch with an expert who found out that this truck was rated far below the needed capacity. Our attorney said their behavior was clearly a case of fraud and they potentially put our lives in danger. We went to return it and the sales manager convinced us to treat it as a trade in, that it would be easier that way and they would find us a comparable but adequate used truck. Little did we know that it was a set up. Turns out that between the 3 dealerships they own they did not have a proper truck and they would not try and get us one from any other source. So they talked us into getting a new truck. We were upset but just wanted to get this behind us. Again, it turned out that they did not have a proper truck in their inventory but said they could trade with another dealership. Every time they presented us with a possible truck it was not acceptable and to add to the issue there was a monetary mistake in their favor each time always followed with a , "Oh, sorry, glad you caught that." Once I could understand but it happened several times so we now believe this was a way they regularly do business. They finally found an acceptable truck and we went in to complete the deal and, true to their previous activities, the numbers were far off. The sales manager presented a spread sheet that made no sense and tried to tell me we are not accounting for the taxes properly. I am very used to working with spread sheets and they should be clear as day and not have categories that are unexplained catch all's. After an argument ensued he accidentally confessed to me that he was charging us thousands for the first truck, (which we had had for a month already but couldn't use it.) We wanted to cancel the whole deal and walk away nicely but he would not. He made it clear we would have to sue them to get anywhere. I'm sure he realized we needed to get our retirement going and they could keep this tied up in court for years and they would hold our deposit money so our attorney told us that even though he was sure we would win in the end we should probably just do the deal so we could get on with our lives. Then we found out that we need to pay for a month of financing. Please don't make the same mistake that we did by dealing with these dishonest people and if you do read everything carefully and don't count on anything anyone tells you verbally. read more

I ended up driving 6 hours total over two visits to their dealership, only for them to suddenly back out of the deal after shaking hands on it. I spent days getting signed paperwork through express mail, and despite confirming the details repeatedly, their manager, Damian Swierbutowski, claimed they couldn't proceed due to concerns about "fraud"--even though I explained the situation right from the start. Horrible experience!! I spoke to Giovanni. I told him that the price of the Maverick caught my attention and that I wanted to know about any special rates Ford had. He told me that there were none but the price was negotiable. When it came down to business, sales guy Robert told me that the price of it was $10k more than the sticker price!! I was furious. Why wouldn't they put that price on the website?!?! To get you there and then what?!? Piss people off?!? Even the manager Ralph came to tell me that this is how the market is and that's what they are supposed to do, and that there's no way they would sell me this VERY BASIC truck for sticker price. What has happened to Golf Mill Ford? I have bought 3 cars in the past from them and this is how they treat a returning customer. I recommend my father and my sister. This place is hilariously shady and deserves 0 stars. Was called by a rep after expressing interest in a truck/Maverick on their website that was listed at MSRP. The rep mentioned I could get the car at MSRP. Against my better judgement I went in and did a test drive. The sales person during the test drive said they could get the truck to me at MSRP no problem. We start the signing process and the same sales person comes back and says the price is now 8k over MSRP. I mentioned the call, the website price - sales person went and got his "boss man" who came over and re-iterated the same points keeping the price inflated. At that point I decided to bail for a couple of other dealerships that had a similar listing. Only when I was literally about to walk out the door did the "theatre" stop and they offered the price at MSRP. Save your time and really look elsewhere. Believe nothing these guys say. It's all part of the script and they are used to customers flipping out on them. There will be another mark they'll have no problem running scams on. Make sure it isn't you. These kind of places should be sued out of existence and everyone involved should be ashamed at how they treat others. read more

The definition of "Bait-and-switch". Was looking to buy one of the new Maverick PHEV truck. I checked on their website and they said they had one. I called and asked in person to see if they could see it on the lot. The salesperson said they were looking right at it. I asked, very clearly, is it the PHEV version, and they replied it was. Got in the car, drove a 10 minute drive to the lot. When we got there, I walked in and the person first person I asked about it said, they didn't have any but were expecting some soon. I told the salesperson that I had someone verify the car and the guy changed to, "Oh, it must have just been sold." I told him that it had been in stock on the web and he said, "Oh, that's the web guy. He really doesn't know our stock." I put up my hand, turned around at the door and we walked out. So, it seems the entire sales team is in on whatever lies need to be told to sell you a car. Not only will I never go there for a car, I won't be going there for service (even though it's easily the closest to us.) Stay away from these guys. read more

Not only did they screw me on my car but this isn't their first time. I bought my car in mid August of 2023, I had the car for 15 days before the engine went out on it. The car was never inspected before being out on the lot, the car had multiple issues that unfortunately happened after I left. Golf Mill Ford has been running me around in circles for the last six months, one day it's one story the next it's something different. They've given my car back three or four times saying it's fixed, each time I got it the check engine light was still on. The GM, Mario, refuses to be in contact with me and just has me speaking to different sales associates. The one and only time he showed his face he yelled at me telling me this was all my fault for not getting a newer car, and not knowing more going into this. They haven't helped me, they haven't fixed my car. I will continue to post about this EVERYWHERE /'d EVERYDAY until it is solved.
