Christine C. and I hit the FM craving a refreshing Mango Lassi only to find that Sassy Lassi was a no show:(((( I was so parched I could not even think of making a vegetable purchase because my mouth was so dry that that was all I could think about. GoodPop to the rescue!!! My Watermelon Agave (no sugar) Popsicle hit the spot - refreshing, cold and not too sweet. Chris had the Pineapple Basil that she said was good and I wanted to ask for a bite but was too busy trying to finish mine while it dripped down my arm. Just had my first GoodPop moments ago. I was walking home, saw the stand and a popsicle sounded amazing. And it was! I had watermelon agave flavor which was quite delicious and refreshing on this warm day. I will be definitely coming back for more! I have added good pops to my list of foods I am addicted to, which is limited to queso from just about anywhere in austin and popcorn from Cornucopia. The coconut pop is my new favorite, and it is made with soy milk which is perfect for people who are lactose intolerant. Strawberry and mango are my other 2 favorites and they taste just like the fruit. The pops are 50 calories each so I dont feel bad about eating more than one haha! So I went here again to let the hubs try it out. It's so hot outside what's not to love about popsicles? So, we get there, check out the menu, and order the mango chile and pineapple basil. It was really really good! The flavor of the mango was great with the mild spicy flavor of the chile, but it didn't over power it. And the pineapple basil was different in a good way. We also popped into Toy Joy a few days later and I got a soy coconut that was to die for! The reason they get 4 instead of 5 stars? I had no idea of the flavor selection because their menu only lists about 6-7 poscicles. I just found out about all their flavors on their Facebook page. So what's the deal? Do they have some mainstays and some rotating flavors or what? Maybe they should put up a dry erase board with what they have that day? Anywho, loved it, and will be coming back for more! read more

Unique, fresh-tasting, flavorful, cool, and icy. What more can you ask for from a dessert? I especially appreciate that this dessert isn't too heavy, because I rarely leave enough room for the all too common, richer dessert options. I've tasted 5 kinds, and I've ranked them accordingly. Mango chile: This one stood out above the rest, because it mixed the ratios of sweet, salty, and spicy so perfectly that I was never overwhelmed with any one flavor. Different, and oh so savory. Watermelon Agave: This was just as unique and well thought-out as the first. It didn't offer the knockout flavors of the mango chile, but the watermelon and agave flavors were both present without being too much. Pineapple basil: Perhaps the most unique pop I tasted, this flavor combination was a thought outside the box, but it didn't work together as well as I hoped. Strawberry: This was good, but exactly what I'd expect, and nothing you can't get from a grocery freezer section. Tamarindo: A unique addition, but the flavor was wayyyy to strong. I couldn't finish this one, so I ended up pitching it halfway through. Lady Gaga would give this one a "pucker face". read more

Good Pops are pretty awesome, delicious and low calorie. Minus one star because they are expensive (although reasonable with a Groupon) and the hours for this pop up shop seriously blow. The flavors I have tried: Hibiscus Mint - My favorite so far. Really subtle mix of hibiscus and mint (duh) but perfectly blended. Banana Cinnamon - 2nd favorite although I think I prefer just making one ingredient banana ice cream. Although this popsicle made me realize how well cinnamon goes with bananas. Mango - A bit of a miss. I don't think the mango fruit translates that well into a popsicle. The fruit doesn't freeze with the same consistency so it was a bit weird. Flavor was just ok. Strawberry - Another miss for me, the flavor just wasn't that strong and I needed some other note to taste here. Watermelon Agave - Awesome one, even had the seeds in the popsicle (which were annoying but cool to see). The flavor in this one was great. read more

All hail, the King of Popsicles has arrived! These are to "regular" popsicles what filet mignon is to Burger King. Just a whole different category. Natural flavors, good ingredients, delicious, good texture, just all around-terrific. And nice guys too. I just went by and got two of ever flavor, and enjoyed my Hibiscus Mint so much I am trying desperately not to go eat another one immediately. Holy crap, these are delicious! I can't wait to eat up all the ones in my freezer and go restock with new (or the same) flavors. Nothing is more refreshing than a popsicle in the summer time. And these are the best popsicles. Well maybe the shop has a better product than what is sold at HEB. I bought the Watermelon Agave and Coconut Lime. First off, I am a huge fan of watermelon and coconut. Was hoping for a real natural wonderful flavor but these fell short. The watermelon did not taste like watermelon at all not sure what it tastes like. If you hold it on your tongue long enough it may have a hint of watermelon. For the price I would never buy it again. The coconut lime was disgusting. DISGUSTING!!!! Tasted what I would imagine dirty feet would taste like (just a thought). I'm not sure I can bring myself to eat another one out of the four popsicle box that it comes in that is over four dollars a box. Never again and if I could give it minus one star I would. read more

In the words of Leon Phelps, uh yeah...this stuff is nice. I tried GoodPop at the downtown farmer's market. I had a hard time choosing between all the fresh flavors! I finally decided on the banana cinnamon and didn't regret it. The best part of the popsicle was that it wasn't too sweet or sugary.
