Went here for the first time yesterday for breakfast. All in all everything tasted good! The coffee was made just right - not too light and not too strong. We were pleasantly surprised. For 2 adults and 1 child it was almost $200. Only reason I knocked off one star was because of the price but let's face it, you're paying for the ambiance. The food isn't mind blowing but most of the options tasted good and were well seasoned. The service was great and our waiter was very nice. What can I say other than Goofy's Kitchen is an absolute MUST experience! We snagged a reservation (necessary) for a late dinner (7:20) that was very out of our 1 & 2 year olds routine (we always eat at 6pm); this made us a bit nervous since they might be overdone and tired from the day, but it was amazing!! We checked in when we got there and then waited to meet with Pluto for photos. The photos and meet and greet were priceless; our toddlers were elated to meet him and all the rest of the gang. Pluto, Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale all swing by the table frequently and flirt and love on our kids; it was the cutest most wonderful time for all of us. The joy on our kids faces said it all. They have lots of birthday celebrations that engage the entire restaurant in fun antics and the kids just love it. The food is quite good and the wait staff were fantastic! Kevin was our waiter and he was so attentive to our every need, all with a big smile. The food is buffet style and includes any and all yummy delicacies you can think of. The dessert spread is something to write home about too! Just like everything else at Disney it is expensive, but truly worth it. The restaurant is well laid out and open so you can be in all the action and get the full experience. The tables are spread out so it's comfortable and it's decorated with all the Disney flare you expect. Our son surprised us by making reservations, definitely has a great variety of food, as always I ate too much. I'm so happy that even after all these years Goofys kitchen is still open at the Disneyland Hotel. You can make reservations even if you're not visiting the parks or staying as a guest at the hotel. We had a group of 10! We checked in and waited about 5 minutes to be called up to meet Goofy. Everything was themed for Halloween and Fall. Took our photos and it was uploaded to our photo passes. We were then walked to our seats and drink orders were taken. Adult beverages are not included with your meal but other beverages such as juice, milks, and soft drinks are included. They had Fall themed foods at all stations. I have a system at buffets where I prefer to wash my hands prior to getting my food , and afterwards I put my plate at my table and I wash them once more just before eating. Here , they have hand Sanitizer stations around the restaurant too. All of the characters were dressed in Halloween costumes and they came and spent plenty of time visiting and interacting. One guest was dining alone and we saw Goofy sit down and spent quite some time with them. That melted all of our hearts . The food was very yummy. It seemed that there was something for everyone. It was my Godsons 10th birthday and prior to visiting, his mom ordered a cake to be delivered , it was a cheesecake mousse cake. Lots of veggies , fruit , proteins, kid food for picky eaters, desserts and ice cream station. Even sugar free options. We celebrated our toddler's 2nd birthday at Goofy's Kitchen, and it was a Disney magical evening! The fall dinner menu was a hit with something for everyone. The prime rib, cheese ravioli with pumpkin cream sauce and crab claws were fantastic, and the mini corn dogs were a surprising favorite for the adults. We ordered a special Mickey Mouse cake - it was moist and not too sweet, though chocolate-on-chocolate was a bit rich; I'd go with vanilla next time. The character interactions were great, and they made sure every character visited our table. We got a photo with Goofy before entering the restaurant which was a good start. though my toddler was a sad Mickey didn't make an appearance. A small tip: You can ask the chefs for steamed rice - they were very accommodating! Highly recommend making reservations. 3 stars go to our lovely, joyful waiter, the food (surprisingly good) and the birthday cake (still dreaming about it- chocolate mousse!)... BUT we came for the characters... and we only met two. Out of several. Over the course of a couple hours. Clearly the rotation isn't rotating. Every other Disney restaurant we've been to has it locked down, and we've not only met every character during our meal, but there were designated staff checking that we met everyone. After a couple hours we threw in the towel and left, but it was disappointing. I wouldn't eat here again. In contrast, the Plaza Inn at the park is mediocre on food but you meet several characters during your meal time, and you start with a picture with Minnie before you even sit down. read more

They offered a great variety of food options and the characters that come to visit are often and super nice. We really did enjoy our breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen this past weekend! There were 6 of us, including my 1 year old grandson. It was a little chaotic when we arrived but once it was our turn to get in line to meet Goofy everything went smooth. Our server was amazing! She was friendly and attentive. The food was ok, some dishes were better than others but we all ate and drank plenty! The highlight, of course is the interaction with the characters. Goofy was only in the front for photos but Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Chip and Dale made their rounds between little parades through the restaurant. We decided to try Goofy's Kitchen since we had tried another character breakfast already at the Grand Californian hotel a few years back. Goofy's Kitchen has vegan options so we were good with that. Once we checked in, we were told to wait in line to take pictures with Goofy. We arrived about 10 mins early but waited about 25 mins to get seated. In this time, we were able to take photos with Goofy and Pluto (while one went to break another came out). The characters were fun and friendly. Some interacted more with us and some less. Once our server greeted us and took our order we explained we were vegan and needed to know what our options from the buffet were. He let us know he'd have the chef come out and walk us through what was vegan at the buffet. I noticed the chef was not very friendly. He was very matter of fact and not warm at all. He kind of talked quickly and quietly at both really with us but at us. It was a bit of an odd interaction. We observed another interaction with him later which confirmed this. It seemed he was arguing with our water because another round of waffles and pancakes were not delivered. For the price we pay, considering the limited options, I would think customer service would be exceptional. I noticed other tables that arrived around the time we had or after had left but we unfortunately took a lot longer to dine than we had hoped. Our entire experience took 2 hours. It is pricey but I think you're paying more for the experience than anything else. Every so often they would play music and do a little train with the characters dancing and waving around the restaurant (I think they took a break right after this). Another thing to note is that tip is already included in the bill. Annual pilgrimage to this place is a bit too much fun, for Goofy party is in the house; rather on the house! Buffet kitchen is full of selections for everyone! For those who required special diet such as allergen free food, they may request the chef to make a few dishes. That was the case for my grandkid who was allergic to almost everything on the menu; the this place is a must for us because of that. Also, shoutout to our best server, Tyrone, who went above and beyond to his duties to provide us with fun, safe, and joyful entrainment besides the characters popping in and out for all of us especially to our precious 2 grandkids. The only thing that was really gross is the smell of the dining area my 4 year old wanted to leave and he wasn't wrong the area smelled like throw up, it's carpet and looked very dirty. The chorizo pizza was actually amazingly delicious. They had Mickey waffles, French toast sticks, mozzarella sticks, fluffy scrambled eggs, and sausage. What's not to love? I also love how the brunch menu still has that yummy seasonal pumpkin cream sauce ravioli because that was my favorite last time. Brunch also included a carving station of sirloin steak and artisan sausage. I do prefer the dinner's prime rib. However, the sirloin steak still satisfied my protein intake. I made reservations for two at Goofy's Kitchen on a Thursday night, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! My friend was running late (a 40-minute wait for cookies near the Haunted Mansion!), but the host was kind enough to seat me without the full party being present, a much-appreciated bit of Disney magic! While waiting, I got to meet Goofy himself, a fun surprise and a perfect way to kick off the evening. Once seated, I was really impressed by the buffet. Compared to other character dining options, Goofy's Kitchen offers a much better variety, especially for pescatarians like me. The shrimp and crab claws were fresh and plentiful, and there were lots of other tasty options to choose from. The character interactions were frequent and so much fun! Over the 90 minutes I was there, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip & Dale stopped by my table multiple times , at least three rounds total, for photos, high-fives, and plenty of laughs. The cost was $69 for the meal, plus $20+ for a cocktail. Gratuity is included, which makes things simple. And since my friend didn't end up eating when she finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that she wasn't charged. Check in was a breeze, however, once when we were stopped for photos no one told us that Goofy was on a break. We noticed after 5 min the line wasn't moving as there were just 2 families in front of us and when we went to take a peek, we saw no Goofy. While waiting, the staff called our name to let us know our table was ready, but we weren't ready! Luckily, they understood. There was about 5-6 more families behind us with the 2 before us already. Mind you, this was only around 7:45am. Breakfast buffet, an OJ, Michelada, and a mocktail later, we spent $200. That's significantly more than what we spent at Storytellers Cafe. Server was friendly. However with a family of four for Dinner, this meal cost us 350 dollars and the food was not even close to being good. The Mac and cheese wasn't seasoned as well as the Chicken Pot pie. The pizzas were nothing special and the tri tip wasn't seasoned either. It's like zero effort was made by Disney to make sure you get what you pay for when it comes to the food. The cancellation policy is not fair. I had a reservation for two people 04/10/25 but I had to cancel two hours before due to an emergency and the Disneyland application would not accept the cancellation. Instead it charged the credit card a $50 penalty fee. How greedy. This is unethical to take money from someone's credit card and not provide any food or service. Other customers would have booked those reservations last minute. I think they should get rid of their reservation system and just do first come, first served. The official policy does not account for people needing to CHANGE plans. 04/25 Cancellation Policy You must cancel at least one day prior to your reservation to avoid a per person cancellation fee. If you fail to cancel timely and are a no-show, the credit card provided at the time of reservation will be charged $25 per person. We visited Disneyland with some friends during Christmas break. This was the first place we had dinner!! It was my first time and it was a LOT OF FUN!! The food was top tier and very tasty. Service was excellent even though it was packed. Everyone did have to have a reservation and I think dinner was timed. Goofy and all his friends mingled with everyone while we ate. For the price, you get the chance to take a photo with the characters so you are paying for an experience not just the buffet. They have a wide selection of food too. Lots of healthy options if you want it, like fruits, salad, charcuterie, etc. but they have the usual things like eggs, bacon, potatoes, French toast, pancakes, and Mickey shaped waffles. We tried a lot of different things, including short rib ravioli, some kind of pomegranate and persimmon bruschetta, and more. Most of the options were nothing out of the ordinary but I appreciated the variety. They had some unique items I don't typically see at buffets. It's great for families and they have a lot of stuff for kids. Staff comes around often to take plates, refill waters, or just to check in and they are friendly and personable. The characters come around to the tables too which was cool. I wasn't sure if they would be all that accesible but they come to each table to greet you and see if you want photos with them. It's a fun experience if you get the chance to do it. I wouldn't expect a 5 star brunch but it does the job. We came for breakfast and the variety was incredible. Whatever you like to eat, they probably will have it. Plus, a huge selection of sweets, too. They do dances periodically and will come up to your table for individual meet and greets and sign autographs. Had a very disappointing experience yesterday at goofys kitchen. I come here often and normally have no issues I was about ready to pay and was waiting for the waitress to come around so I can ask for the bill when my child had to use the restroom so we get up and go to the restroom. While I'm in the restroom I get a call from goofys kitchen saying that I left without paying and I explained that I was in the restroom when we go back to our table which we were still planning on taking our drinks to go the table is completely cleaned and ready for the next party. We've been coming to Goofy's Kitchen for years and it's always been one of our favorite Disneyland dining experiences -- until now. During our recent visit, my daughter Emma screamed when she saw a huge beetle crawling on the table that had clearly fallen off one of our dinner plates. She was so disgusted she refused to eat anything else for the rest of the meal. Naturally, we brought this to the attention of the manager, Robert, but his response was incredibly disappointing. He offered to remove only Emma's $42 meal from our nearly $600 bill and could not explain how a bug ended up on our table. When I expressed that this didn't feel sufficient, he dismissively told us that restaurants "cannot control what bugs do or do not come in." It wasn't just the lack of accountability that bothered me -- Robert's entire demeanor was condescending and misogynistic, and it was clear we weren't going to get anywhere by continuing the conversation. For a Disney property with premium pricing and a reputation for quality, I expected far better customer service and basic food safety. Unfortunately, after this experience, our family will most likely not be returning. read more

Another amazing girls trip to Disney. We love to splurge on a fabulous dinner. This time we had to go to the original Disneyland hotel. The restaurant is so cute. Immediately you check in and you get to take apicture with goofy. After your seated, you just get up and start eating. It's a buffet so the world is yours. They had steaks salmon, Thai food, pizzas, chicken strips amazing salads anything you can think of. Next thing you know you're munching on your food and the music starts grab your napkins and start swinging them around ! Here they come your favorite Disney characters are right about to dance around the whole restaurant. Don't be shy everybody participates! I really love these moments corporate Disney just really knows how to make you feel like a kid again ! I'm totally on board every time! Choo Choo! I'm so sorry to give Goofy's Kitchen a bad review, but for me it was not worth the $$$. I've had bariatric surgery and I can't eat very much. We went to Goofy's Kitchen for my granddaughter's 8th birthday and I asked if I could go and NOT eat. They politely said that it was a character experience and everyone needed to pay. "Fair enough" I paid for a meal that I couldn't eat for the experience. The experience was only Clarabelle and Minnie Mouse visiting our table for less than a minute each. NO characters even came by when it was time to sing happy birthday to my granddaughter! Thankfully, she had a wonderful time, but I felt that the "character experience" was 100% not worth the $$$$$$$$$. read more

I don't think the food was that great at all. The only thing I think was okay was the make your own omelette station. My French toast was dry and hard. The orange juice was watered downed. The biscuit and gravy was not that tasty. I don't think for what you pay for is what you get. You would think because it's Disneyland you would get way better food. We have enjoyed coming here many times, and while we enjoy the experience and the time we have their as a family, I think it has come to an end. We paid almost $300 for 2 adults and 2 children, with no alcohol beverages. Service was great, and friendly, and we really enjoy the characters. However, the food is basic, and not very good, that's with being one of the first groups in at 7:00 AM. After we left, I questioned myself why did we spend $280 for that :/ read more
