    Cajun Fish Tacos
    Jeff S.

Strangely my first time here. It's a nice oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the airport terminal. Upstairs on Terminal A. A large bar with plenty of options for beer and all spirits. The food was pretty darn good. I had the Cajun Tacos. A couple of unique preparations made these tacos really good. For one they wrapped a soft taco shell outside a hard taco shell which is brilliant. Secondly, the chopped up the fish into smaller pieces and then Cajun seasoned them. Another brilliant preparation. All in all. A really good experience. Service was amazing at the bar. I've been missing out on this place for all of the trips I've done here. A definite place to return to.

Menu options very limited, Fries taste like the frying oil has seen better days and the service is mediocre at best. Cleanliness if the place is questionable

Had a great experience here. The drinks were excellent, and the lemon drop was easily the standout. A great place to get a bite to eat and drink that makes travel experience enjoyable

Surprisingly solid airport stop! Sat at the bar--service was quick and friendly. Food was decent with generous portions (perfect pre-flight fuel). Not gourmet, but definitely above average for airport fare. Would gladly stop here again on a layover!

My sister and I had some time to kill before our flight so we grabbed lunch. We got seated right away in which our hostess was also our waitress. It took some time to find a place since we weren't in the mood for breakfast food even though it was 9 am. We were relieved to come across this place. We shared my first Bloody Mary which I found to be oddly savory but also kind of good. Craving something hearty, we also shared an order of their Grilled cheese with spicy tomato soup and an order of Shrimp & grits. The grilled cheese was soft, salty, and well toasted. The spicy soup was okay but perfect for dipping. I was pleasantly surprised by the burst of flavor from the shrimp & grits especially since I've only had the dish a handful of times. Overall, we had a good experience. Our waitress seemed a little stressed and therefore short with us. But after things seemed to roll over, her kind personality quickly showed through. As with most places in the airport, its a casual setting that can be made as long or short as you want. Would come again all-in-all.

Run away. Skip it Although we were seated right away, our food took 45 minutes to get there after we chased our waitress down. My french fries were cool. The fish was soggy. The waitress did take it off the fish and chips from the bill, but didn't give us a plate to share my husband's meal Hubbys dish was also cold but not as bad as mine so we shared his. The water taste horrible they need to change the filters PS there's no bathroom upstairs where the restaurant is at so it's a pain.

    Caesar salad...quicker with no meat!

2.5 stars... Layover got extended so I had time to sit down, and chose this joint as I'm not usually able to get up there in time! From the moment I sat down the bartenders weee warning me it was taking 30 minutes to get food, so I opted for a salad, and opted for no meat....still took about 25 minutes! I just waited patiently and had a beer... salad was good! Beer was good! Bar staff continued to complain.. Place was dirty and disheveled, likely from the rapid turnover, and away from the bar did not appear to be managed/cleaned well. I learned my lesson! This joint does not make the list.

We have come here twice to eat while waiting on our flight, and both times have been delightful! We were sat immediately, and our server came right over to us. Drinks are delicious: the spicy margarita is SPI-CY!!! Just the way i like it! My husband got the IPA brewed in house, and he loved it. Today, I got the caesar with shrimp. the shrimp was flavorful and served hot, and the lettuce was fresh. My husband's barbecue sandwich was delicious as well. My only complaints are that the food can sometimes take a little bit of time if it's busy, so plan around your flight, and the menu is pretty pricey. I'll be back!

My charges on the credit card

Be careful with your credit card after you dine. I wish I could put zero stars. On Feb-22nd while being stuck at the airport due to cancelation of my flight, I decided to try Gorden Biersch restaurant for lunch. I only ordered the chicken sandwich with a glass of water. I paid with my credit card and did not think of anything until today when I found out through my credit card, that this restaurant (or perhaps the waiter short guy with glasses if I recall) has been charging me outrageous amount under the restaurant name repeatedly. See my attached charges. I keep calling the restaurant and I get a busy signal. So don't go to this restaurant or if you do, pay with cash. The chicken sandwich was nothing to write home about either.

    $22 for a so-so martini?

I have enjoyed meals and HHs at Gordon Biersch locations in years past (here's looking at you, Baltimore!). Our recent experience at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta was so-so at best, however. The simple bar food order reached our table after 30 minutes and several status requests on a not-very-crowded evening. The taste and quality were just meh. Like the food, the drinks were just meh. And, to top it off, the martinis were $22 apiece -- are you kidding me? That said, it was nice to sit upstairs and out of the crush of travelers in the terminal. But I've got to believe that there are much better options at ATL.

Did they not have working AC in here? It was HOT. Wanted a nice recluse from the busy terminal, but not the case.

This is the same place as Blue Tarp Brewing. Actually they share the venue. Good people, good beer and good music. Alan and Tom, the co-owners of the space, are top-notch laid-back guys. They are also great brewers. Between High Card and Blue Tarp, there is something for everybody. Plenty of inventive styles and flavors, without the try hard vibe you may experience at other places. Bartender was really nice and friendly, and we felt welcomed. I loved the Key Lime IPA and also the White Queen which has one of the best tastes with a slightly spicy kick of habanero. Pricing is almost the same as any other breweries. This place is very casual and relaxed atmosphere, dog friendly, kid friendly, host music shows, art markets, and let girl scouts sell their cookies. There is plenty of free street parking available in front of the brewery. Definitely the place to go for great craft Brews, live music and all sorts of funky, inclusive, fun events. Can't get much more welcoming. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

We arrived around 1 pm on a Saturday and had issue finding parking in their main lot. There is an overflow lot behind the building and there is signage to direct there if needed. When we arrived, we smelled something delicious coming from the on-site food truck, heard some great live music coming from inside and there were a ton of folks inside and outside just having a good ol time. Once we walked inside, there was plenty of beer on tap but I appreciated that there were frozen drinks available and with their partnership with Urban Tree, I was excited to see some of my old favorite ciders. The guy that helped me was super sweet and helpful. He made some great suggestions and I had a vodka blueberry lemonade, came back later for a water-marita which was my favorite. We order some loaded fries from their onsite food truck and the fries were amazinggggg! Huge portion, hot, and just the right amount of food. They have plenty of other stuff on the menu but the fries were good enough for the both of us. I totally forgot what drink my husband got but I do remember he enjoyed them. We had a great time just people watching, listening to music and chatting with folks. This is a good place to just come and hang for awhile for sure and we'll be back sooooooon.

The beer selection was posted right on the bar--it was extensive, and we were genuinely excited about the options. After looking it over, we both decided to go with beer flights to get a good taste of what they had on tap. For food, Wifey ordered the Chicken Tenders with French Fries, and I went with the Golden Chicken Sandwich. The beer flights came out quickly and were clearly labeled. While we sat at the bar, some old-school hip-hop played in the background. It kept us nodding along while we sampled our beers. Not long after, our food arrived--hot and fresh. The chicken tenders came with fries, and I managed to sneak a few--they were perfectly crispy. My sandwich really hit the mark--crispy chicken with great texture and solid flavor. I was chatting with our bartender and learned they have a full-service restaurant upstairs, so of course I had to head up for a little recon. As soon as I reached the top, I was warmly welcomed by the host and staff. I let them know I just wanted to check out the space. Upstairs had a completely different feel from downstairs. While the lower level had more of a laid-back, neighborhood bar atmosphere, the upstairs was bright, modern, and a bit more refined. I even noticed some outdoor seating, which we'll definitely have to try next time. One thing to note: the beer selection upstairs isn't as extensive as what's offered downstairs. I headed back down, and Wifey and I ordered another flight to share. At one point, I looked over and said, "I could honestly stay here all day." Great music, cold beer, tasty food, and sports on the TVs--it checked all the boxes for a relaxed and fun afternoon. Instagram: @whatsthenextmemory
