Friends and I have only eaten here once and the round steak Pho is good. When you come here you should most definitely try one of the many Boba drinks. We frequently come just for the Boba. The 3 Star rating is the average between the two sides: Tapioca drink side: easily one of the best tapioca drink/milk tea place in the greater Salt Lake area. Staff is generally friendly (although I seem to see different faces every few months). This side of the place is moderately busy on weekdays, and busy weekend nights, and can take a few minutes to get your order. This is a delicious place to come for boba! All of the flavours are yummy, but try the avocado. Soooo creamy and smooth! And it's oddly satisfying to jab the giant straw into the lid. The front of the restaurant is pretty casual. Just order at the counter, sit down,and enjoy your blended, yummy, chewy treat. The other side of the restaurant is more of a sit down situation. LOVE this place. Can't keep count of how many times I've eaten here, and I have never been disappointed. The Vietnamese egg rolls are a MUST, as well as the fresh spring rolls- so fresh and refreshing. I recently tried the pan fried rice cake and loved it. I usually order the egg noodle soup with tofu and can't get enough of it. The tofu is always the right amount of crispiness on the outside, the bok choy is so delicious and fresh, and the broth is to die for. This is a great place to go to for awesome blended tapioca drinks. You can be very specific with your drink orders and they would never mind one bit. I usually get the honeydew or avocado blended with tapioca. On the restaurant side, they have an excellent menu from noodles to rice dishes of all types. I personally love their duck signature soup just because I haven't found one that does it like they do. If you love duck soup then you have to give this one a try!! read more

Love this place for some good boba drinks. My favorite drink to get from this place is the Tropical Fruit Mix. It isn't a blended drink, but it does have all kinds of different fruits and jelly that make it delicious! I have also tried their Jasmine Honey Milk tea and that is delicious as well. Needless to say, I stick to what I know when I come here (just not have been a huge fan of blended drinks in general). But, I do crave this place from time to time, and what I crave is what I always order. There is also a restaurant attached to Gossip that serves Vietnamese food. Got our pho pretty fast despite it being really busy. They give you big portion sizes. The red bean boba was pretty good.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl way back when they only had boba and weren't serving food. Still one of the top contenders for me when it comes to boba here in Utah. Adding the restaurant side was probably the best thing the owners could have done. They are always busy whenever I come which is no surprise because their food is consistently good and then boba right after for dessert always hits the spot. Whenever I'm craving Vietnamese comfort food, this place does it for me. My favorite dish here that I always crave is the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). Nowhere else I've been to makes it as good as here! My current favorite boba is the Mango Delight, blended. So if you're looking for a chill, kind of hipster pho restaurant to come hang out with your friends on the weekend, this is the place to go. They are open later on the weekends til about 10 or 11 pm which is later than any other pho restaurant I know of here. read more

This is one of only two places around SLC that I always come to for my milk tea and avocado smoothies. When I need a refreshment to fulfill my boba cravings, this spot always comes across my mind. I love this place! Their interior is nicer than most pho places, however tables are often left uncleared due to the heavy amount of customers they get. One time, one of the employees forgot to wipe down a table and seated us there. It was quite awkward for him to suddenly realize this and quickly wipe down the table as we sat there. But their noodles are really good. They give a generous amount size of noodles and their green tea boba is to die for! This pho place is to die for!! I've tried almost all of them in the valley, and gossip consistently does a great job. The only compliant? Their Wait is a little long, and they don't really have good waiters--but when the pho and boba is as good as this place, it really doesn't matter. I've only ever has the tri tip pho--it's all you ever need. The white chocolate banana boba smoothie is amazing. I'm thinking about going there right now, it's that good. Ok so I read a lot of reviews about this place, and I was so excited to check it out, then reality HIT me, haaard! So haaard, that I gave both drinks that I ordered to the homeless man sitting outside! Unfortunately!! The customer service was great, so nothing wrong in that department. However, the drinks were soooooo sweet I started sweating sugar!! I mean that is good to swear sugar, but I did not want to get diabetes that day. I don't want it any day frankly! The other thing was they did not have much flavor. Their tapioca balls were not made well, maybe I am spoiled with another place that makes them perfectly. Delicious place! After a little confusion of where to go since the restaurant area is a little weird, I finally ordered "DA BOMB" since Yelp so highly recommended it. And of course, it was DA BOMB. So creamy and delicious and the boba was sweet and chewy. Only downfall is that I felt I could replicate the smoothie pretty easily at home. I hope to try something a little more wild and bizarre. I'll be back as I can't wait to try more! Although I have to admit, I'm getting pretty sick of my boba addiction since it's running me $4-6 a drink! The deliciousness keeps me coming back even if my pocketbook cries itself to sleep at night. Also, the food REALLY looks good here. Debating between 3 or 4 stars, but I guess I'll go with 4 since I've been so deprived of boba. I didn't try any food, so I'm just reviewing the drinks. The lady at the register suggested "Da Bomb" or the one with white chocolate and coconut. We declined either and went for the more classic choice of 1 jasmine milk tea and 1 almond milk tea, both with boba. They offer drinks iced or blended. I've never had a milk tea drink blended so I went with iced. Orders came up and we were given a green milk tea and almond milk tea. For some reason jasmine and green are the same here? My almond milk tea was a bit too sweet. The boba was a good consistency though. I'd give it another chance and I'd like to try their food. read more

This review only on their boba... So far, it's been pretty hit or miss. I've asked for things "less sweet" which still make me pucker up because of the sweetness, and then when my husband has not asked for something less sweet, his drink will come out incredibly bland. Our milk tea experience here has ranged from WAY too sweet to not sweet enough to JUST RIGHT (it has indeed happened... once.) The boba themselves aren't bad (decently chewy and flavorful), and their smoothie drinks are actually quite good, IF you can get over the too-sweet thing. And unfortunately, with Pho Green Papaya just down the street, I don't forsee us ever coming here to eat dinner, but it's a great stop right down the road for a little post-Pho treat. read more

This used to be one of my favorite spots. I went there today and it's gone downhill. The menus they gave us had several hairs in them! So gross. Normally I would've walked out but my kids were hungry. Next they gave us dishes that looked like they weren't even washed. The water cups were dirty as well. It didn't used to be like this so it makes me sad. Egg rolls were still good as well as the wontons, but the dirty atmosphere put a damper on it. Looooooooove this place. I think my classmates and I go at least once a week. I've tried different pho restaurants in the area and Gossip's definitely tastes the best to me. The waiters are really nice and service is great! And the egg rolls are a MUST. As for drinks, their tapioca has been consistently getting better and better! What a great little place, we'll usually stop in for pho and a boba. There smoothies are their forte. The pho is not as authentic as others down the street, but decent. They also have a younger vibe. Always a little Top 40 music in the background playing. A good spot to hit up. When on the South end of the valley everyone should try Sweet country in Draper. This is a great place to go for Vietnamese Pho and a few other specialties. I've been there probably six times or so and have enjoyed it each time. I usually get pho, and spring rolls. This is an all around decent place to eat Vietnamese, and for the area it should probably rate a 4 star. What I like about it the most is that it's open on Sundays! Service varies, and can be hit or miss, but overall it's about average. This place is worth a try for anyone who likes Vietnamese and lives in or around Salt Lake City. read more
