This is definitely one of the freshest kbbq experiences I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. The workers were very fast. They were a bit stern with us at the end, enforcing their 2 hour time limit (which is fair), but regardless they had excellent quality and service.

Grams is def one of the best AYCE Kbbq spot out here in OC and offer amazing variety of meat choices and side dishes! The quality of their meat has even gotten better over the years, which is a hard achievement for the restaurant that has been around for a while. Of course, their regular pricing is on the higher end, but def match the high quality of the meat. If you are craving Grams and are on a budget, please don't miss out on their lunch or happy hour late dinner deal! It is only $18.99 and the choices of meat you get to pick from are amazing! They def put some good varieties in there not just not your typical pork belly/brisket options like other spots. You get unique choices like pork tounge and beef heart, as well as big/small intestine! IT IS SUCH A GOOD DEAL!!! Their banchans are amazing too! You also get some cool side dishes with the deal like friend rice and cold noodles. Service is amazing and the staff are so attentive! Their hostess is so welcoming! If you are coming for the late happy hour deal, make sure to come early before 10 to put yourself on the waitlist. The restaurant isn't the biggest and the waitlist for the deal fills up fast. Grams has a nice ambiance with big tables and warm yellow light! Def a good place for family/friends dinner!

Great value, food, & seating arrangement. Not too expensive and you get a lot options for protein. We chose tier B for a party of 10-11 people. Parties over 10 people may need to separate into 2 tables, but the server was nice to allow us to squeeze ~5 people per side. We also like the side options including salad and side dishes. Brisket is tasty here. Even beef heart was new to me but surprisingly tasty and tasty. No big complaints. Maybe just need to refill our water more frequently. They checked in with us about ordering more and side dish refills. Place is great for gatherings. No line on a weekday dinner night. Would come again!

TLDR: It's the best priced happy hour that I've experienced. The meats may be on the pricey side if paid in full, but they were amazing if we base things on the happy hour price. I gotta say though, they really pile on the portions per plate. Brisket: It has a pretty food meat to fat ratio, and the marbling was good. They give you a respectable amount of brisket, and this can get heavy down the line. Brisket Yaki: It's their version of brisket with sweet sauce. The happy hour doesn't have bulgogi, but this'll do. Beef Belly: It's always good when you have a hard time telling the difference between brisket and beef belly. It means that the beef belly's meat to fat ratio isn't bad. For this case, the beef belly had a smaller portion, but it doesn't matter, given that it's all you can eat. Marinated Chicken: This is one of the lesser marinated chickens I've had in KBBQ. I can't seem to point a finger at it, but I just didn't like it. Garlic Pork Belly: Fatty, juicy (or crispy, based on how you cook it), and garlicy. It tastes exactly like the item reads. Garlic Rice: It's plain rice that they threw some garlic in, and heated it somewhere. It's a different vibe, but it's nothing special. Service: Very good. The staff respected the fact that the happy hour folks had an hour ish to eat, and they made sure that our tables were topped up. Ambiance: It's a classic KBBQ place. I like the vibe, and I don't mind coming back.

GRAMS BBQ @ GARDEN GROVE A little bit of a wait time, but the food and good and the price is rlly affordable for AYCE! The beer was super good to pair along w the meats and the menu was pretty extensive even at the lower tier. It's more of a casual place but great for meet ups--overall would go again!

    They have AYCE now!!

I absolutely LOVE Grams here in Garden Grove. They have really good marinaded meats here. There are different tiers you can get when coming here. I find that I'm pretty happy with the lowest tier, I'm a brisket and LA Galbi kinda girl, which they actually include in their lowest tier; having braces, I really don't like the thick or chewier cuts. Parking here is easy, also be sure to mind your time, they are very strict on the time limit.

I've always loved coming to Grams and never had an issue. However after our dinner last night with my boyfriend, we experienced stomach issues leading to unfortunate events in the restroom if you catch my drift. I did notice one of the workers filling sauces w/ the condiment squeeze bottle on many plates but used her bare finger to stop the bottle from squirting out after each plate, and that raised a red flag to me. I really love Grams and the delicious KBBQ but I am low key scared to come back lol

Love their lunch special AYCE deal. Their beef belly, marinated beef heart, pork galbi, and aged pork belly are the best items here. The meats are pretty high in quality as well and the side dishes are great. Staff are a bit slow due to the lunch rush, but totally understandable. Highly recommend you come right at the start of the lunch special so you don't have to wait too long.

I got a good experience eating here with friends and the staff are friendly and helpful explaining what is selections have to serve. I was also glad that they even handled my birthday cake and kept it till the end for celebration . The place gave a welcoming vibe and had me satisfied to come celebrate my birthday.

    Trisha V.

Been wanting to go here for a year and what a great way to celebrate my birthday. The quality and selection of their meat was so yummy and worth breaking my diet. I loved the sides, especially the cucumbers and the egg souffle. I don't know if that's what it's called but i've never had it and I asked for several servings of it. I can't wait to come back here.

Service was nice and ambience was pretty typical of a KBBQ place. Each meat we got was so chewy it was hard to swallow.

*REVIEW OF HAPPY HOUR SPECIAL M-F 10-12AM* Yes, you heard me right: $18.99 in this economy? When Grams posted on their Instagram that they were having lunch special pricing for dinner (10pm-12am), I knew I had to check it out. (And yes, the rest of my family came as well!) I was definitely pleased with the quality of juicy meat and selection of banchan. Even though the menu is limited for their lunch special, I still got to enjoy my favorites: beef brisket and belly, which honestly is all you need for KBBQ! Service is stellar and attentive, and if we needed something, it would arrive promptly. Ambience is modern and clean, with lots of seating, although can be cramped during peak hours. Tips: - I recommend joining the Yelp waitlist ahead of time so you don't get stuck with a long wait - They don't take orders past 11pm, so make sure to arrive on time if you want the deal!

    Dana T.

I was super excited for the $18.99 late night happy hour and finally had a chance to go! I usually love Grams for the excellent quality and service, but unfortunately, this time it was lacking. From the start, we were seated at 9:59 PM and told the server we were here for the Happy Hour. I understand the new deal can cause more stress onto the staff, but she just snarkily told us it starts at 10. I just said okay and I guess she thought about it for a moment and just let us order anyways. Overall, her attitude was very rude and when I accidentally ordered corn cheese, she acted like I was dumb and should've known that wasn't on the Happy Hour Menu. For some reason, we actually did not see her much after that, so it confusing who to order meats with. It looked like she was on her phone way on the other side the whole time and the few times she came by our section, she avoided my eye contact etc. Due to that, we did not really have a flow state of eating and the dining experience was full of awkward pauses. Overall, the meats were pretty decent although the beef belly did get pretty fatty towards the end. The experience was unfortunately soiled by the weird service, which I will admit is not usual for Grams. Hopefully, it was just an off day.

The place itself is a small/medium size with lots of tables for seating multiple small/medium sizes of parties. We were a party of 5 (4 adults, one baby/toddler with a high chair). I loved how they accommodated my child with their children's menu in addition to providing us with scissors to cut up noodles. Upon stating our allergies, they helped us with food suggestions and limitations. It's honestly the little things that go above and beyond, as well as their friendly service. They weren't overtly checking up on us, and had just the right amount of interaction and help. Food: 3 of us got the beef belly pho and one got the beef rib, my son got a kids mean. Upon receiving our bowls you'd think by looking at the clarity of the broth that it wouldn't be super flavorful, but it absolutely was. It's not overpowering, but the right amount of savory with a hint of sweetness from the added o green onions. Each pho came with the garnishes of basil, lime, and bean sprouts as normal. We did have to ask for small side plates For those who wanted hoisin and sriracha on the side, but not a big deal and quick to get. I'm also a huge fan of the lychee lemonade at vox, which they had here. Not refillable, but still loved it! My son got their chicken nuggets with fries since the pho broth had some sesame oil which he's allergic to, but he loved it. It came in the cutest kid "happy meal" type of box and we used the scissors given to cut the nuggets and a few "washed" noodles. Overall, would love to come again for a great bowl of pho if the wait isn't too long!

These days you can't really get a good bowl of noodle soup for under $18-$20. Here you can get a solid bowl for just $8 during happy hour! Whaaat?! Crazy! That is such a great price that I almost feel like I'm robbing them. LOL. During this recent visit, I wasn't too hungry so I just got a small bowl of wonton soup for just $7. It comes with 5 pieces of wontons. The only disappointing thing was that it doesn't come with one of my favorite toppings - tóc mỡ. It would've cost $2 to add it. I really wish they did include it. I also got some grilled pork skewers. Though a little soft, they were pretty delicious - nicely seasoned, flavorful, and make a great appetizer. I also love that they're open late - till 11PM!

Big portion!! Grandpapi is here for you in this economy!! Has a couple of bigger tables (4 seater)…read moreif you want to come here with family, quite chill, 3% surcharge on credit card, decent plaza parking. Service chill, can pay at register in the front, like typical viet restaraunt where they kinda leave you to it. The Grandpa's noodles was good (a dryer noodle), great portion, meat was tender, the radish cube looking things was crispy bits of pork skin. The menu is unique here and mostly in vietnamese. I think I had wished for some sauce to go with the noodles (but I understand its mostly with the soup on the side), good tightness of the meatballs :D... They have the classic condiments on the side, the pickled garlic isn't very crunchy and kind of on the sweet side, the pickled chili does have that slight acidic kick that works well. I modified my noodle to egg for a dollar. The soup was good, on the more umami soy/beef side than clear. The wontons were abundant too, instead of a chili oil the sauce is more like a tangy sweet chili vinegrette thing. My accompaniment got a garlic noodle soup (fried garlic oil) that was rich and also in a huge bowl. For the price and portion its a hidden gem for someone who needs to feed a family. Not like gourmet, but good enough! Omg, also I missed the corn milk :((
