The vibe here is great--modern, clean, but still chill enough for a fun night out. A well-known AYCE KBBQ spot in Orange County and it has been my favorite spot to go for the last 5 years in OC! Service is for the most part excellent with the staff regularly checking in on your table and meat quality is fantastic here with one of the best meats being the picanha! They are the only spot I know of in Socal that serves Picanha and their cuts are some of the best I've had. From the tongue to the intestines and wagyu meats, they are all of good quality. Nothing has ever tasted too gamey or has been too fatty. They have 3 menus currently with the cheapest menu at $32.99 and their most expensive being $58.99. There is usually a decent wait later in the day during dinner and they are open until midnight every day which is great since most of the other spots in the area close down earlier. The wait times usually go by relatively quickly since the restaurant space is quite big. There's plenty of room for big groups and it's a great place to celebrate special occasions. The quality of food here is comparable to most higher-end spots ins LA, the service has been great every time I've been here and the ambience is generally pretty lively. Tables are clean and everything is well-maintained even when it gets super busy during dinner time. I went for dinner slightly before 6 and was seated by 6:20pm with my partner. We decided on AYCE Set C for about $36/person. We come from the Bay Area so this was a pretty good deal for what was offered. I loved all the banchan (Note: They do make you finish it/give them the empty plate before they are able to refill it for you). I am someone who will shovel radish paper in my mouth and the radish paper here had a very distinct/earth-ier flavor to it. Maybe a little bit strong on the mustard seed, but not at all my favorite. I love side dishes and was extremely pleased to see they offered cold noodle and soft tofu soup as a side. They were on the smaller size - intended to be personal bowls. I definitely prefer my cold noodle to have a lot more mustard and vinegar to it, so these felt a little bit plain to me. They also did not have any sauces on the table other than the typical sesame oil, salt, etc. The soft tofu soup was also on the saltier side, but still enjoyable. In terms of the meats, they advertise their beef, so I would highly recommend it to anyone. Their porks? Not so much. I did get the pork jowl, which was a mistake on my part, but it was just all fat. Kind of like the fat that you rub the grill on so things do not stick. We ended up cooking all of it, but not finishing it. For two people, they give a lot of meat so it definitely is worth the price that they offer and it would easily be $10 more in my area. Because of that, there was some food leftover. I would not say it was that much and not more than I would leave at other places. However when asking to get the check, one of the servers did give us a heads-up that if we intended on checking out now, they would almost definitely change us the leftover food charge of about $11/person. Thus, despite a bunch of physical pain, we attempted to eat whatever was left on our plates to avoid such. I do think it is natural to try things and end up not liking it - which is what happened with a 1-2 of the pork meats because that is just personal preference. I do understand the need to charge for excessive food leftover but this was genuinely the first time I was told I would probably be charged. Very nerve-wracking. I would still recommend this place to anyone in the area, but will probably stick to the beef meats and to maybe bring a third person. read more

Overall, a good experience. We enjoyed the food, and the grills worked well. Not sure if this was unique to today; however, the front of house seemed short-staffed. On multiple occasions, we sat waiting for a server to assist us. Our server, Emily, was very kind and earned that 20% tip, and it was also noticeable that she never really got a chance to rest during our visit. We all got the premium B menu. The wagyu beef brisket and belly were so tough and chewy. They tasted like USDA select. We ordered tri tip but they ran out. We ordered top sirloin cap picanha. My hubs and I go to Grams when we want QUALITY and QUANTITY. We always order the most expensive combo that comes with boneless short ribs -marinated and unmarinated. This combo comes with rib-eye and the Woori galbi as well as several other premium meats that I can't remember because we usually focus on the short ribs and the Woori galbi. We were really surprised that the marinated boneless short ribs is SO DELICIOUS. It is NOT too sweet or salty, but seasoned JUST RIGHT to give it a nice charred taste. This is our favorite at Grams which is surprising because most places over marinate with too much sugar or soy sauce that makes any marinated meats taste too... too something that overloads my taste buds. But GRAMS marinated boneless short ribs is subtle and well-balanced so that the taste of the beef comes through. We order plates and plates of this. And of course the unmarinated boneless short ribs are amazing. The marbling on these premiums cuts are to die for and we can't get enough of this as well. Well... actually, we can get enough... it is so buttery and rich that it makes us kind of dizzy when we get to a certain point. LOL. The sides you can order for this combo are good. I always ask for sliced jalapeño peppers with ssamjang (red pepper paste), along with the salad with no dressing. This way, I can enjoy my premium bbq like my mom and dad used to enjoy it at home - galbi with rice, lettuce, ssamjang - for that perfect bite. The soy bean soup is also very good. Tip: If you go with the Premium combo, don't waste your stomach space on the brisket or anything less than the boneless short ribs and other premium meats. Go elsewhere if you want the brisket. My friends wanted me to try Grams BBQ, and it didn't disappoint! We arrived and put our names down on the waitlist, with an estimated wait time of about an hour. Luckily, the parking lot is spacious, so finding a spot wasn't an issue, though I can see it filling up quickly during peak hours. To pass the time, we walked to a nearby bakery and grabbed some cream puffs. The wait ended up being shorter than expected, and we were seated in under an hour. Our server was friendly and welcoming, setting the tone for a great dining experience. Grams BBQ has a tiered menu system based on how much you're willing to spend, with higher-priced options unlocking premium cuts of meat. Since we were dining on a budget, we opted for their base menu, and it didn't feel like we missed out at all. There was a wide selection of meats, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious! WOW!!! Hands downs the BEST kbbq I've ever had in my life (and I've been to hundreds). I was hesitant to go bc a lot of reviews said the service is terrible but that couldn't be further than the truth at least during our experience. They were on top of it. Came by every 10 mins to check if we needed anything. My highlight was their brisket, it's funny bc brisket is brisket but the last kbbq I went was terrible and this one was sooo juicy and soft and crispy all at the same time. But the game changer? Grams is a great kbbq spot with unique cuts. I've been at least twice now and have tried both their premium menu and their middle (B) menu. I think premium is the way to go especially if you're going to celebrate something. The choices are just too good. It's got bone-on galbi, American wagyu cuts, and Prime cuts of meat. Even in the B menu they have beef tongue, pork skin, heart, pork jowl, etc which are not as common in other typical kbbqs. The sides are great with garlic rice, kimchi pancakes, cold noodles and more. On the side they even have this kimchi seasoning which I didn't use but my partner really liked. There was this salty chili vinegar sauce I wasn't familiar with too which seems to be made in house. It's a bit of a smaller restaurant so during busy time you may have to wait. But on a weekend at 2pm I had no wait which was great. Service was good and they check up often. read more

There are a lot of options nearby (Star, Cham Sut Gol, Red Palace, etc.), but I recommend Grams because the meat is always fresh (never frozen), the quality is solid, and the variety of side dishes is great. My only gripe is that the service can feel a little rushed or off at times, but that's understandable since the place is always packed and the servers are hustling. Definitely try the finger ribs--I don't see those offered often at other KBBQ restaurants. Also, make sure to check the waitlist. on thursday 5/28/26, i went to eat out with my friends as a party of 6. we made it there on time for the happy hour wait list. we were sent a text that our table was ready and when we came in, we were told we had to be sat in 2 groups of 3. they then gave us another option of waiting until we could be sat together as a group. after waiting 20 mins, they then told us that actually, we could only sit in 2 groups of 3 and not as a full party of 6. they then told us that only the first group of 3 could be seated, and the next group would have to wait 20 mins. i was part of the second group of 3 since i wanted our first couple of friends to be able to eat first. keep in mind it was already 10:30 at this point and they do last calls at 11:15. after we got seated around 10:55, we started to order. they were at least decent enough to extend our last call time for us but we felt like we were rushed. after our first group of 3 finished, they got the bill and noticed we were being charged as a group of 6 even though we got sat as 2 parties of 3. we did NOT eat at the same table, nor did we get sat at the same time, so i don't know why and how we got charged as a group of 6. we were also basically on opposite sides of the restaurant.. they then told our first group of 3 that were paying that they would fix the receipt but we still all got hit with the 18% gratuity. this is my third experience with Grams, and the first and second experiences I had were good, but something like this makes me never want to come back ever again :(( (i also was unable to finish my food since we ordered a bit too much which was a mistake on our part since we wanted to be able to still eat even after last call time is over, they were nice enough to at least not charge us for leaving food left over but we basically paid the fee with the 18% gratuity ://) read more

Sauntering in here on a rather warm, sunny Friday Evening - the restaurant was full. It was absolutely sweltering. After being on the waitlist for about an hour, we were able to be greeted by our server Alli T. who took us in. Little did we know that we were about to go on an incredible gastronomic journey. We ordered the Premium option of meat that included the Woode Galbi which was delicious and reminded me of Tomahawk steaks. However, I think I narrowed down my favorites meats to be the marinated boneless shortribs with a close second, being the pork jowls. Each meat was tender and flavorful. Our server, Alli, was incredibly attentive to our table throughout the entire night. She checked in with a smile on our table at least 10 times, constantly making sure that our grill was changed. Each time she brought out bottles of soju (we tried all three flavors), she would make sure it was well mixed before bringing it our table. Hence we tried to give a good tip at the end of the night. The first time I visited, I felt rushed to order and finish my meal to accommodate other parties attempting to eat. I had a good enough experience previously that I decided to try it again; however, I was not prepared for the pure miscommunication I've would receive from the staff. After waiting for 1 hour, there was no movement on the waitlist whatsoever and while waiting in the front of the restaurant, none of the staff attempted to communicate with us that they had already performed last seating for the afternoon until we approached them. I can understand last seating; however, I cannot excuse a lack of communication with potential customers who were most likely waiting as long if not longer than I did. We happened to come down to SoCal for my birthday, and we were lucky to have joined the waitlist with about a 20 min. wait time. Even while waiting, the staff was sure to check in with you and made sure to get you seated as soon as possible. OKAY THE FOOD: Whenever I visit Grams, we always do the AYCE A menu BUT you can totally get by with some GREAT cuts in the AYCE B menu. I was genuinely amazed at their wagyu cuts - they were super tasty and the side dishes complimented the different cuts well. I love using a radish wrap with a but of kimchi with grilled meat - add the tiniest bit of salt & house sauce and you'll have the PERFECT bite (unless you're not into radish then totally disregard what I said). From the moment we sat down, the service was rude and inattentive. Orders were forgotten repeatedly. Normally, mistakes happen -- I'm a server myself, so I'm extremely patient and understanding -- but what made this unacceptable was the attitude. No apologies. No accountability. Just straight-up rudeness. Because it was last call and we were starving, we ordered a lot of food. Even then, we were still hungry and had ONE plate of large intestine left on the grill. As I was literally cutting it, a shorter server came over, turned off the grill at exactly 12:00, and walked away. No warning. No courtesy. Just shut it off. Then comes the real insult: they charged us $10 PER PERSON for the three pieces of large intestine we didn't even get to cook. That was an extra $54 added to our bill. I understand restaurants have policies. I understand last call. What I don't understand is the complete lack of communication, professionalism, and basic respect. If they had explained things properly or handled the situation with even a little empathy, this could've gone very differently. If you don't want to be a server, find another job instead of taking it out on customers and ruining their night. We left frustrated, hungry, and shocked at how poorly this was handled.
