I found Grangers to be uninspiring in either food, service or ambiance. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't extra special either. The menu was boring, the service disinterested, the portions uneven. We were told by our companions to split a salad because they are huge. Their wedge salad which was 1/2 of a head of lettuce. Ours which was a main course was only 1/4 of a head of lettuce, we might have gotten another but the waiter disappeared after dropping it off at the table and was not seen for a long time afterwards. We were so hungry that we had to stop off for ice cream just to quell our hunger pains. The ambiance was nothing special either just some tvs on the walls and some tables, a big bar and some random decor. In short there was nothing to make it stand out above the crowd of restaurants in the area, except for the fact that it was less expensive than most. read more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside resembles a diner, but the food is good. Great burgers, plenty juicy and a full 1/2 pound On a Toasted bun. The grilled mahi mahi was also tasty, tender, and cooked perfectly. Service was good. Give it a try, plenty of options on the menu. I had dinner at Grangers recently and liked it. The good was good and the service was good too. The waitress was friendly. We had the fried onion app with an awesome dipping sauce. This restaurant is probably the worst restaurant that I have ever eaten in. We were a table for 5 on Wednesday 11/22/23. We all ordered baby back ribs that were delivered to our table cold, fatty & seemed to have been cooked the day before. They plated them over warm French fries which didn't help. We didn't complain other than tell them they were cold. We asked for coffee & were told that they weren't going to make a new pot. Their excuse was since we were 5 people wanting coffee their coffee pot made more coffee than that & no was their answer. If that wasn't bad enough the owner/manager was extremely rude & the young man working there used fowl language for no reason . I drove by here on a Friday evening and thought about going in. I came on YELP to check out the reviews. Based on the owners replies to the reviews it's very clear he does not care about his customers and only cares about being "right" and "his side of the story being told." I mean turning down a disabled person, fighting with senior citizens, shaming someone for taking a life threatening medication when they need to take it...how low can you go? I'm not going to lie, the French onion soup did catch my eye on this chilly evening but ultimately decided not to go in based on the fact that the pics of the rest of the food didn't look appealing, it seems like there have been a decent amount of health violations and lastly fear I'd run into the owner, he seems really mean. I wouldn't be surprised to see this place on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares! Yikes! Maybe the owner should spend less time mocking his customers on yelp and more time taking constructive feedback and trying to do better. read more

I'm giving a 5 star review to their French onion soup. My only complaint, It needs to come in a bigger bowl bc it's so good. That bourbon broth, the different cheeses, and the soaked baguette. I heard a lot about Grangers Grille and finally decided to give it a try. I must say that I'm surprised at the 4 star reviews by my fellow yelpers. This place is not a place I will revisit anytime soon given the many great choices in Delray. Started with garlic wings, completely tasteless, oily and sprinkled with jarred garlic. The burger was no different very bland. The only good part of the meal were the fries, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but you needed catsup for flavor. Pretty much a disappointing meal. This is the 2nd time that we've gone there since the new owners took over and low and behold, we ordered our food and my wife had the special which was chicken tender wrap with fries. Well she asked if she could get sweet potato fries and the waiter said yes never mentioned that there was an upcharge. We get the bill and there's an extra charge of 2.75 for sweet potato fries and the waiter never mentioned it. Then the owners were arguing with a customer that said he ordered a wedge salad and they said he didn't. Well the owners in my opinion were wrong about that. They should have given him what he wanted instead they chose to argue with him and tell him about their policy. Well he will tell his friends what happened and they will tell their friends and now that restaurant will lose business because of their own stupidity. Talk about a place going down hill fast. I've had their Philly Cheesesteak dozens of times. However today's sandwich reminded me of the old commercial, "Where's the beef?" The servers told me they're getting lots of complaints from longtime customers about the new owners. They said, "they're cutting back on portions." Boy is it obvious. I also hate that you now have to pay at the register where they hand you the credit card thing and stare at you waiting for you to add a tip. Even though it was a busy Sunday afternoon , we were greeted, sat and waited on in minutes. The pulled pork sandwich was a special this day. Pulled pork had a great Smokey BBQ flavor! I was there with a group of 5 and we all agreed that will will not be returning! There policy of adding 4% to the check if you're splitting the check is crazy!!!!! If you're looking for a burger or sandwich, this is your place! I ordered the patty melt and fries. The burger is 100% Angus beef and was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the club sandwich. It was big enough for two people to share. My friend ordered the tuna melt and loved it. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with how cute the place was inside, how good the food was, and how attentive/nice our server was. We'll be back = ) Wine: No bubblies here. But the Sauvigon Blanc was good. Parking: Love that there is parking. Most spots in Delray do not have their own parking lot. Tips: If you like crispy fries, maybe order their chips instead. Just ridiculous. Why have the black & moo on your menu if you never have the meatloaf? I have tried to order this to go literally 10 times and every single time I try to order it, it's not available. I went and picked up a burger because the black & moo "wasn't available" then literally watched the server bring it out to a table... wtf? If that was an annoying enough, I have tried to place a to go order four times this week. FOUR TIMES. Every time I'm told there is an "available to go time." We've heard all the "fuss" about GRAINGER's so we had to try it. "I don't Get it" They claim their hamburgers are 9 oz, so thats over 1/2 a pound, right? I had a Patty Melt, it was just OK, very dry and I did not feel that it was 9 oz, We also had a bowl of Conch Chowder, that was good...Iced coffee, was hot coffee poured over ice, am I the only one who likes Ice coffee....make a pot and let it cool! We had a very disappointing visit. They are under new ownership and while many menu offerings remain the same, it appears that the recipes have been tweaked a bit. The conch chowder seemed to be sitting in a brown water-base instead of in a roux. The macaroni salad was watery and also maybe missing a component. After being invited by the new owner of Granger's to write this review, here it is. It's been a while since we have been to Grangers since new ownership took over. The fact it wasn't busy at dinner hour on a Friday night should have been our first clue. The ditzy, snarky waitress should have been the second. She did repeat our orders including the fact my husband ordered thousand island dressing on the side of his turkey sandwich. It came with mayo on it. It got sent back and returned with mayo on the side. Third time he got his thousand island. Our bill for 4 came to $100 dollars including a surcharge of .75 for the thousand island. In and of itself the .75 is nothing. But after not the best service I just needed to point out the surcharge was a) never mentioned and b) we had to keep asking for it. He orders this sandwich often and never have we been charged. This was brough up to the owner and I wish I had gotten her name because she opened up a nasty mouth. One of the friends we were with had been a restauranteur and a waitress and said as much to the owner, who just told us to go eat somewhere else then. Really? You turn away $100 for a .75 item? How is this good business sense? And to speak rudely to a customer? I do want to a add at no time did we speak disrespectfully to her. First time back at Grangers since the start of the pandemic & so happy to be back! Stopped in for lunch & they don't disappoint. I had the chicken tenders with fries & cole slaw- everything was great! The chicken was moist & crispy & super fresh. The cole slaw was very flavorful & not mushy, and the fries were perfect. My husband had the cheese steak sandwich with all the fixings & he loved it! It was a special treat for us because we usually don't eat a lot of fried foods, but, hey, if you're going to blow your diet, may as well go all the way!! Servers here are always very nice & I love supporting the local Mom & Pop restaurants. Although I didn't order it this time, they do have the best French onion soup! read more

Granger's has really under gone a transformation! The once small diner in downtown Delray with limited seating and parking has moved up in the world! Still same great food. Best chili in the tri-county area by far! Good burgers and wings! I mean come on...you're going to love going to the bigger and better location. Service is good and attentive. Granger's is a great all-day restaurant that serves very good food! I went with a friend on a Thursday evening. We didn't need reservations; we didn't need to "dress-up"; we didn't need to stand on line (although I imagine there definitely might be times when that's necessary!) Service was fast; the servers were experienced & helpful; & quickly told us about the daily special! The meals were delivered to the table quickly, & they were so good! On my recent visit to Granger's Grille, I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. This was not my first, nor will be my last visit. And although they displayed a sign warning of a severe staff shortage and that wait times might be lengthy, I felt that they handled things quite well with the staff they did have on hand. The place is a former VFW and they have their own parking lot. Mostly an older crowd, very loud and service was seriously slow. For a Saturday night it was a 30 min wait. A nice big bar straight back with some high top tables in the middle and a few TVs showing a game. Some local Funky Buddha on tap and the bartender was friendly. We got greasy sandwiches and soups, which weren't hot and it took a full hour to get our meals. People next to us got ribs but that wasn't on the menu and our waitress didn't tell us that's an option. We are not likely to return. read more

I want to add a second review. We have had so many really terrible meals lately that I just had to praise a restaurant that does everything right. The chef salad was huge with tons of ham and turkey. The Mahi sandwich amazing with a piece of Mahi enough for 2 people. Seasoning is perfect. However the real standout was the buffalo shrimp. The shrimp are large perfectly breaded and the portion is generous. They are very very good. I love this restaurant !! read more
