We had a failed attempt at a pickup order. We ordered though the online app and when we picked up the order it was missing an item. 30 minutes after letting them know the item was finally add to our order. The issue was blamed on a new employee being trained. As a thought: A new employee is only as good as his trainee or manager. But that's not my 2 star. The food for the most part was very good. 2 stars is for the mayo that is being passed off as Caesar dressing. This is may favorite salad and easiest way to gauge an Italian restaurant who cares about the integrity of the food. Here are the ingredients of Caesar dressing. garlic, anchovy paste, lemon juice, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, parmesan and pepper. This is not what we got. read more

Never again, the food was really terrible. Definitely not made from scratch, it all tasted like it came from a can. The place was dirty, but the restrooms are atrocious. It smelled like they have a drain problem and the vents in the ceiling were completely full of dust and grease as was the drain on the floor. So we have been to the Dahlonega location multiple times and has always been good. We tied the new Cumming location the day it opened and it was excellent! Food and Service both impressed. Our server did say she was there helping out from the Dahlonega location for the grand opening. Last week we wanted to give it another shot since we hadn't been back since grand opening night. Not impressed at all! First of all, our server ended up being the bartender and he was very unprofessional, cussing in normal conversation with some of the other patrons and not attentive at all. Our drink order, dinner order and dessert order were all wrong! He was more focused on talking than serving. Only reason why I have this 2 stars instead of 1 was because the food was ok, not great, just ok. I guess this restaurant will be another bust. read more

If you've ever been to Italy, then you know that anything served here is nothing you would ever have there. If you like to go to places like Olive Garden or macaroni Grill, then this type of food is probably right up your alley. The Caprese salad had sour mozzarella. They were very apologetic and brought me out a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was soaked in so much mayonnaise-based dressing that it was inedible. The flavor of the chicken used in both their chicken Alfredo pasta as well as their pesto chicken flatbread, had really good flavor. Service wasn't too bad. To start we had a meat and cheese board, was a 3/5, looked like it came from Kroger next door. Salads with balsamic vinaigrette wasn't too bad actually. Main course was lasagna and my wife had chicken picatta. The lasagna reminded me of spaghetti O's, bland meat and sauce. I should have brought a baggy of Italian seasoning with us ‍ I literally took one bite and had to send it back. Mussels were on the chewy side but I was hungry at that point. This is the first and last time we'll visit. Only reason why we did was because Casa Nueva and Village Italian were closed. Seriously, you're better off hitting up Carabba's or heating up Stouffer's lasagna. read more

Went to GrapeVines for the first time and will NEVER return. I don't like writing reviews, but I was highly disappointed. I AM JUST STATING THE FACTS: * Chicken Piccata: It was overcooked and tasted like leather, the piccata sauce tasted like oil & buttery sauce, not even a hint of white wine lemony sauce in it. * Chicken Parmigiana: Was SLIGHTLY better than the chicken piccata, but husband described it as, "Tastes like it was frozen!" * Pasta w/ Alfredo: Watery and NO flavor, tasted like pure milk. * Moscato Wine: better than the whole meal. * Service: Good: It was good. * Bread/Rolls: Very good, but not garlic rolls. This was probably the worst Italian meal I've ever had in my life. From changing recipes to overcooking the chicken, this place was just god awful. I got the Marsala and it came to me like a cheese sauce? They said they "add cream" to this Marsala. Marsala doesn't need cream. The flavor of the Marsala was horrible and the chicken was over cooked and somehow the pasta was undercooked. I'll never come back. read more
