I don't gotta lie peep this

Had an Italian cheesesteak paid 20$ just for the sandwich just for the meat to be all chewy parts. Nasty never coming here again.

tomato soup, The Don on focaccia with truffle (my fave so far) and Salumi Picanti on focaccia

I love a good Italian deli:-) As you await your food, peruse their collection of Italian goods they offer such as olive oil or cured meats. Just really love it. Love to be here. Felt like I was transported to Italy.... Haha I wish... Today, I decided to try their cold sandwich, the Salumi Piccante on Focaccia. Hmmm... not as impactful as their panini pressed Don on Focaccia with truffle spread. Yummm... However, on this visit, I also tried their tomato soup. Very good and comforting. There's bread included for you to sop up the tomatoey goodness. Would love to try their other sandwiches on a future visit.

This place is an Italian gem. They serve authentic Italian lunch items, such as sandwiches and salads and provide croissant sandwich for breakfast. They also sell a wide variety of Italian food products. Great staff that is welcoming and friendly.

My spicy sausage and bell pepper panini sandwich, with arugula and tomato on the side ($15).

Excellent lunch spot in the Financial District. I was heading to a San Francisco Climate Week event at the 9Zero co-working space nearby and stopped by around 1:30 pm as I wasn't sure they'd provide any food or snacks there. After a quick glance at the menu, I settled on the spicy sausage and pepper panini, which happened to be a great choice. The sandwich was steaming hot and served with tomatoes and arugula on the side. I took my time, living in the moment, savoring every last delicious bite. Service was friendly. The location was clean with a few tables inside and outside, and interesting bottles, and jars with condiments along the walls. I will certainly be back to try some of their other options.

Cappuccino, asked for it "for here" and they gave me a paper cup

A new Italian sandwich shop serving up some really fancy meats and cheeses in their sandwiches. And while they really like their panini press here, I kinda prefer the cold sandwiches more. But no matter what you order, it will be so much bougier than Subway. Breakfast Croissant with Mortadella, Provolone, Egg: Interesting French/Italian fusion. A croissant that is grilled flat in a panini press. Filled with runny fried egg, mortadella and provolone. You pick your own meat & cheese, but I got what was recommended. It worked out nicely and was quite a filling breakfast. Chocolate Croissant: It seemed like a pretty standard chocolate croissant, likely not made in-house. But the cashier recommended I get it heated, so I did. Turned out that heating it in a panini press gives it a little grill marks and made it crispy. A really interesting way to have a chocolate croissant. The Don: A bunch of different meats, but somehow didn't seem that filling. I guess it's because everything was sliced thin and the provolone melted into the bread. The bread itself was like a chewy focaccia with one side having nice panini grill marks. Felt a little bland with just bread, meat, cheese and a smidge of balsamic. There was some arugula and tomatoes served in a side cup. It kinda looked like a side salad, but there was no dressing. So maybe I was supposed to add it to the sandwich myself? But if that's they case, why didn't they just do that (either before or after the panini press step)? Salumi Picante: Much better than the panini pressed sandwich I had. The veggies were on the sandwich, not in a side cup. The spicy spread was a lot more flavorful than simple balsamic. And the spicy meats and cheese had a lot of personality. It wasn't like Korean-hot or anything, but had a nice kick for Italian. Really liked this. Tomato Gorgonzola Soup: I'm a big fan of tomato soup with sandwiches, since it feels so homey. Especially on a rainy day. And I do like when it's a little creamy. I've had a lot of tomato soup, but I've never had anything like this. Theirs was made creamy with tangy gorgonzola. So it's both creamy and got that nice bleu cheese tang. Each spoonful is quite intense and full of flavor. Cappuccino: I said it was for here and they still gave it to me in paper cup. I had seen a bunch of proper ceramic coffee cups near the espresso machine, so figured asking for it for here would mean I'd get served in a reusable cup. Guess they're not that sustainable. The cappuccino was fine, pretty standard.

My favorite lunch spot in FiDi!!! You can't go wrong. ANYTHING inside their foccacia bread is my recommendation. Fluffy and good quality bread. The Bello Prosciutto Sandwich is definitely my go-to. Simple, but flavorful! They don't skimp on the balsamic vinegar... but I'll definitely try their truffle spread next time! It's very close to the Embarcadero BART Station too. It's an easy pick up spot while in the area. There's also seating, but it's very crowded during weekday lunch hours!

Quick lunch of my dreams! Great location, quaint decor, delicious (!) panini and an even better soup. Lovely little selection of Italian beverages. What else could a girl want. Only issue we encountered was that they put a slice of crostini on the salad - can see how it's unexpected for gluten free customers ordering some leafy greens.

    Bella Mortadella
    Natalie L.

Came here because it's close to my office, and I'm glad I gave it a try! The menu looked really promising, and I was excited to see balsamic cream as a spread on some of the sandwich options. I ended up getting the Bella Mortadella, and the mortadella balanced well with the soft, salty cheese. The balsamic cream could have been a bit more flavorful, in my opinion, to help offset how heavy the fillings were, though. The focaccia I chose for my sandwich was lightly crispy, fluffy, and very herby. Definitely recommend that as your bread of choice. I also got a tomato gorgonzola soup as a combo with the sandwich because it was a really cold day. The sandwich dipped in the soup was nice and nourishing, but they're definitely not meant to be paired like that because the soup overpowered the sandwich's flavors. My bad. Would definitely love to come again when I'm in the office, and I'd love to give the bello prosciutto a shot!

Had the pesto pollo sandwich and it was by far the best sandwich I've had in sf so far.

    The Don
    Stacy T.

The Don sandwich is the best sandwich I've eaten outside of Italy and I don't say that lightly. It's honestly the perfect combination if you get The Don on their house-made focaccia bread with black truffle spread. So delicious and satisfying for a quick lunch. The exceptional quality of all the ingredients is evident and was so good I went back to pick up another for dinner. The service is also top notch. So friendly and full of super helpful suggestions to make the sandwich of your dreams. They also have freshly made soups and a selection of market items like olives, artichoke hearts and dried pasta as well. Such a great addition to the Fidi restaurant scene. Wholeheartedly recommend. I will be making sure I take my statins and returning often! Don't miss it - its tucked between Perbacco and the Dispensary.

I ended up on California Street between 2 projects and wanted to grab lunch while sitting down. I found Porcellino very inviting from the door so I got in. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and the rest of the stuff was very nice and polite. The Hot Panini (Bella Mortadella) was delicious. Prices are super reasonable and the ambiance is top. Will come again when I'm in the city!

i've loved beretta for years, but probably will not be back for a while…read more review written by my boyfriend: "I'm going to elaborate on my review. I do want to highlight that the food was amazing. It's just that the service was abysmal. First off, we were seated quite quickly. But it took us forever to have someone take our order. We didn't even know who our server was. Probably 10-15 mins before we got someone's attention. Our server was a short woman with a brunette bob. Thankfully, she was not the one serving us the food or else the entire meal would have taken even longer (some other staff members did that promptly). Our waitress just took our order and moved food off our table (which she was quite attentive about). My major gripe were three things. First, the beginning. Second, my partner needed a lemon for her risotto. I raised my hand. My partner sees that our server walks in from outside and completely ignores my raised hand. I feel like as a server, when you enter the restaurant again from somewhere else, your immediate attention should be on the tables that you're serving. But I'll let it slide since a raised hand could be quite hard to see. However, immediately after, she goes and starts chatting up with her coworkers. This time my partner tries to raise her hand (she's actually facing the whole restaurant whereas I'm facing the back wall). She got ignored as the waitress walked right behind me to the bathroom area. Only reason we got her attention was because my partner raised her voice and said excuse me. Lastly, the one that made me decide to leave a 10% tip (usually it's 20%+) was how long it took for us to get a check. Let me pose this question: If the customer is on their last entree, ask for it to be boxed, and declines dessert, what would be the most logical follow up? She walks away and I make a bet that we're not getting our check in 5 mins. Lo and behold, we did not. We decide to ask her, but 5 mins later and still no check. So we had to ask another waitress. I entered 10% tip on her pay pad, but felt bad since she wasn't our waitress."

My favorites were: the chef's choice crudo, specially the tuna and hamachi(?). The tuna was rich and smokey in a great milky and fragrant fennel sauce. My other favorite, the lamb pasta! Loved that texture. Flavor wise, savory and spicy. It was cold out and really warmed me up. Loved the experience. Our waitress was also awesome and patience. Excited to try a lot of the dishes I saw on social media and knew it was Michelin rated.  THE FOOD: Go for the food and tolerate everything else. This food is top-notch, reflecting SF and California cuisine. It's really good and consists mostly of crudo, salad and pasta. That combination makes for a great meal without ordering too much. We started with the Amberjack Crudo - stellar with excellent fresh fish, sweetness from passionfruit, spice (a nice little red pepper) and freshness (mint) all in one bite. Great to share between 2 people.Salad: We had the Asparagus Salad - lightly cooked and cut asparagus with a great savory butter Caesar dressing. The crispy shallot made it, topped with some nice Parmigiano-Reggiano. Again - stellar.Main Pasta: Agnolotti with Roasted Corn, Hen of the Woods (mushroom) and chive - this dish rocks. So savory with the pockets of pasta filled with cheese and the sauce of mushrooms and corn are an umami and sweet touch. Bravo. Second Pasta: Mafaldine Cacio e Pepe - BOOM! My new fav pasta. The Mafaldine noodle just really makes this dish. So different, yet so perfect for holding the amazing sauce in the ruffled edges. Cooked perfectly and they seem to know how to mix the simple ingrediants in the proper fashion to create greatness in a dish. No dessert, but I do hear the Panna Cotta is quite good. SERVICE: Just ok to poor. Rotating staff at the door seemed busy helping inside and were not very attentive. There are typically lines at the door, and they seem to have a challenge seating people. We booked the bar and asked for a table since most tables were open when we arrived, but we were denied. Tables did fill up while we were there but a few were still open when we left. The bar experience was just okay; the bartender seemed overwhelmed serving us even though only half the place was full. Orders were entered late, and the service suffered.  AMBIANCE: This place could be stellar if the ambiance and design was fixed or updated. The front of the restaurant is all tables for 2 or 4 and a little cramped. The bar area is dark as a funeral home. Some of the bar seats will put you infront of a small refrigerator and the overall bar area is unappealing. Messy and unorganized. The rear of the house is probably the best. Far more lit because of a skylight and a view of the kitchen. Community table and some two and four tops sit in the area and it seems pleasant.  PARKING: Terrible. No Valet, no great street parking or parking garage options. Give yourself 20 minutes to find a space. Better yet - only take Uber.  PRICING: Reasonable. Two of us ate for $124 plus $10 tax and an $8 SF Mandate (whatever that is). We had a choice between this menu or the Tasting Menu (now up to $105 from $95) which probably would have been too much food for one person but would offer a good taste of all their food.  In Italian, "Itria" most famously refers to the Valle d'Itria (Itria Valley), a stunning, sun-drenched region in central Apulia (Puglia). The word has also gained popularity as a name for traditional, hand-made pasta derived from ancient Mediterranean roots. Itria Restaurant in SF lives up to this from a food perspective. Put up with the service, ambiance and parking - the food is worth it!

Another great feature of this place is that you can buy most of the plants because they have some for sale so after a couple of cocktails, I was ready to redecorate my whole house with all the plants. I ordered a yummy Rose blend that was super crisp. Also enjoyed the Truffle Fungi! A delicious Shiitake and oyster mushrooms with parmesan and arugula on toasted bread. Their Spanish inspired potatoes were delicious with their dipping sauce. They have lots of gatherings there and DJ sets on the weekends. Lastly, a photographer would die to take pictures here. There is no bad shot as the design artist made sure every section of this cute wine bar was picture perfect. Loved all my photos and videos. I look forward to returning to this exquisite wine bar!

Came here on a Saturday night after dinner for a girls night out. There is a cool photo booth…read moreoutside, which was high-quality and even gave you a video of your session. I love the decor of this space! It is definitely intentionally and tastefully decorated. Loved the lighting and plants. They had Lord of the Rings playing on the wall. The vibe is artsy, warm, a little dark, and overall a cool place to mingle. The bathrooms and tables were kept clean. I liked it that the DJ was live mixing. Getting a drink was fast and easy. The high top tables were a bit wobbly, so we spilled half a drink on there. The drinks are strong. I recommend going upstairs to sit instead if you want to hear your friends better. The tables are bigger up there too. The rooftop was closed off but I'd like to check it out sometime.
