We ventured into Great Neck during Memorial Day weekend and we were all hungry. We came across this dinner which opened back in 2010. The ambiance is your typical diner and service was great. Staff was welcoming. Food portions were generous especially for the kids menu. Everything we ordered was solid and my husband thought it was one of the best meals he had in a while. We can see ourselves returning to this place and bringing family members too.

We walked into this Diner randomly. The place was very crowded & busy. The staff were very friendly & our orders came out super fast. The food was good & the portions were large. I ended up taking home part of my Tuna Salad Club Sandwich & French Fries, the portions were so large. The Diner was big, bright & clean with plenty of tables & chairs. The place is great for large families & groups. I'd definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Went to this local joint in Long Island when I was on a work trip and it was great! It's got the NY diner feel from an atmosphere perspective and great diner food. Menu is very large and has all kinds of options. I ordered one of the Wednesday specials which was lamb chops and for my sides I had matzoh ball soup, sautéed spinach, and French fries. Everything was good, service was fast and with a smile, overall a very pleasant experience!

Came across this cute little diner when I was exploring the area. The food was good, I LOVE the diner mugs they use, it was nice and quiet in there with people enjoying their food, and it was not pricey at all.

The area was great even though it was a bit windy that day.. Food was good, however my steak was a bit overcooked and cold. ive had mexican salad and i felt the salad was very largely cut especially the cheese.. overall is was okay, my husband loved his skirt steak and my friend had the trio salad which he enjoyed. Service was good too and very friendly. Location was great with parking right across the street too.. would like to revisit and try some other food options as well. prices were decent but overall company is what made it.

Everything about this place was amazing. The service and food hit the spot. I love the old school diner vibe and the staff is the best. I will definitely be coming back here more often.

So I am not from Long Island nor great neck, but what a cute town! I was in the area, popped into the great neck diner to have breakfast on a Sunday morning, and it wasn't bad at all! Walked in around 7:45 AM. We were seated right away and received service almost immediately ! We only had breakfast. Including a sandwich, french fries waffle omelette home fries. Not outstanding but totally solid and would definitely visit again. Super cute town.

Been frequent take out here since my office use to be around the area. Went in to eat inside two times now and had great diner food along with friendly service. They are 5/5 when it comes to topping off your coffee.

    Small Grapefruit juice for $4

Great Neck Diner is highly overrated and subpar. It's hard to believe this diner is rated 4 stars on Yelp. Today, I went to the diner at 12 PM with my friend. We ordered an iced coffee, a small grapefruit juice, two eggs, home fries, sausage, and toast. The grapefruit juice was extremely small, even for a small size--it was ridiculous that it cost $4 for about 3 ounces of juice from a bottle. Secondly, there were eggshells in my eggs, and the food was lukewarm. I wasn't given a straw for my iced coffee, and the waitress handed us the check halfway through our meal without arranging for another waiter to help us. The prices were also expensive for such small portions and cold food. We had to wait 15 minutes, the service was slow, and it is small and crowded in there. Absolutely ridiculous.

I remember coming to this place in its previous iteration (think it was called Jackson Hole)..and was excited to be trying a new spot (at least it was new to us!) I ordered my chicken souvlaki platter, but asked them to hold the fries (and just add extra salad). Others at the table had the chicken avocado club sandwich and a BLT (no tomato). Everything arrived very quickly....super hot and fresh. The food was excellent! My souvlaki was cooked perfectly and the giant chunk of feta on top of the salad was delightful. I probably should've asked them to hold the pita, but I did indulge in most of it. The tzatziki sauce was also just right. Nice to know that there's another good diner to choose from in the old hood!

The interior gives that nostalgic retro diner feel. On a Saturday afternoon, our wait was about 25-30 mins, but it flew by quickly. Thomas's is beyond generous with their portions from the egg skillets to the pancakes. Prices are extremely reasonable for the portions. And most importantly, everything here is absolutely delicious. My fiance & I ordered two orders of the blueberry pancakes, which was a mistake because of how MASSIVE each order was; we could've easily split one. We also ordered the sides of corned beef hash and ham steak. Highly highly recommend both. The corned beef hash is SO delicious & homemade, and the ham steak is huge! The staff here are really lovely and attentive. Our coffee cups never went empty. Parking is available on site, but incredibly difficult to get a spot. I wouldn't bet on parking here - be prepared to park elsewhere and walk over. Definitely our new go to diner spot!
