Been here twice now, so I can confidently say this place is worth going to if you like Chinese buffets. The quality of the food isn't great, but it's certainly not bad. Some things are noticeably tastier/higher quality than others; you just have to figure out what you like by sampling the options. The ribs, noodles, and sesame chicken are good, for instance, while the sushi can be skipped. There's also a surprisingly large dessert selection! The interior is well furnished, music isn't intrusive, and the customer base is fitting of typical buffets: mostly elderly folks (which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned!). The service has been good, no complaints on my end. You can tell they've had problems with freeloaders/people who don't pay, judging by the security cameras and staff positioning. So, don't be put off if the staff's behavior subtly reflects this. If you're a freeloader, avoid this place. In conclusion, this is possibly the best Chinese buffet I've been to (I haven't been to very many), and it's not very expensive. Will return in the future. read more

Im kind of devided about this place because for one I have never tasted better chineese food in my life and my 4 yr old son and husband love it as well. However the last two times I have gone there for there lunch buffet my friend and I got so sick to our stomachs and then the 2nd time my whole family went and we were litterally sick for up to 3 days. We stopped going for a while but are attempting one more time tonight for dinner and hoping that are new favorite chinees is not filled with bachteria from being left out too long cause no one should have to go through what we did those few days. If you like Chinese buffets, there are so many better places to go than this place. We ended up trying this place the other day because the Japan House was closed. I'm not going to say that this was the worst buffet that I've been to, but it was close. Being vegetarians, we tend to frequent these types of buffets due to the vegetarian options. The selection here, however, was a joke. With the exception of a handful of requisite Chinese buffet fare like sweet & sour shrimp/pork, lo mein, General Tso's Chicken, and a handful of other fried meats (at least I think they were meats), there was nothing else to be had. I don't know who said this place has a good selection of sushi items, but they had obviously never been to a place that had sushi before. When we went, they had a whole whopping two different styles of sushi role to pick from and they looked like they had gotten them pre-packaged from a local distributor. We almost walked out and frankly, we should have. Since most other reviews are from 2010, maybe the place has gotten worse, who knows? The service was good, but for $10 a person, you are better off going to any one of the other much better buffets in the area or neighboring cities. read more

Hi I went the day of 9/27/14 there was great service. We got attended the moment we walked in. The food was great. One thing I have to complain about is the customers. I feel so bad for the waiters that have to deal with extremely rude and disruptive customers. I sat in front of a couple of scumbags that kept complaining about the food being gross and cold. They kept burping, yelling and spitting out their food. I felt so bad for the waiter and I hope it never happens again. People, remember your manners or stay at home. Sat down at noon on a Saturday. Not a thing was hot, even warm, except the sweet and sour sauce. About 12:30 things warmed up a bit. Average mix of items for a Chinese buffet. 10 years ago I use to eat here probably once a week. The place has really seemed to let itself go. One of the best Chinese buffets I have had in a long time! I will definitely make this a stop when I venture back to Plano. The clams, mussels, and calamari were of decent size and well flavored. The beef egg rolls were so delicious I finished even though I was already full. I would have enjoyed more vegetable options and maybe a brown rice. My son didn't care for the breading on the shrimp and thought the ice cream bowls should have been big enough to allow for toppings. read more

Awful, awful, awful place. If I could rate this place 0 stars trust me I would. My family and I used to come here a lot back when they first opend and the food was okay (as any place would be when they first open) but as the years have gone by this place and the food have gone downhill so fast. Today my family and I tried to give it another chance again and let me tell you it was a BIG mistake. For starters the sesame chicken we got was under cooked and squishy how disgusting! And secondly the forks we got were unbelievably dirty. Also my mom decided to get some of their tiny shrimp with sauce (I forgot what it's called). Totally not worth our money. Maybe an hour had gone by since we left the place and my mom started to complain about having some type of burning sensation on her tongue and we told her if we could look and OH MY GOSH. She had a lot of bumps on the side of her tongue. So I hope it doesn't get worse and she has to be taken to the hospital. For those putting down the restaurant claiming discrimination against a handicapped child: (1) Brittany, no doubt you attended a particular church and/or private school which Makenna's family attends and have taken up the sword of a sharp tongue to get the big, bad manager who was mean to your friends (right?). Regardless, everyone else reading these reviews, I hope you will try this restaurant with an open mind and see for yourself. The child in question makes a very high-pitched squeal to communicate, which can be not only annoying to people wanting to enjoy a casual meal, but painful to the ear of senior citizens, especially those wearing hearing aids. The complaint against this family was made by senior citizens - so ask yourself what YOU would have done: forced your senior citizen patrons to suffer with the squeals, or tried to intervene (which the manager did)- and ultimately being forced to ask them to leave. STOP THE BLACKBALLING BNCS/AG FOLKS. You're not showing Christian characteristics. read more

I went on midweek and there was a sign saying NO OYSTERS THIS WEEK ! I have been to this place before and I think food quality has gone down a little bit, plus the male asian bald host mentioned in other reviews seemed to be catching some kind of insect.... Otherwise the food has the same variety as others, nothing out of the ordinary or spectacular. Up until now I have been pretty sure that the food in all Chinese buffets comes from one central pumping station on an abandoned underground Strategic Air Command facility somewhere in Kansas. This place disproves that theory unless they have been adding tanker-loads of surplus cooking oil to the holding tanks lately! This place is disgusting! Not sure I understand the 1 and 2 star reviews...it's a Chinese buffet after all! What do you expect? The food was okay and the place seems clean. The lunch selection was a little disappointing--no grilled chicken or dishes which were not drenched in sauce or oil. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN OR NEW MANAGEMENT: I had doubts about this place after we had lunch there a couple of weeks ago and hearing about this made me confirm my decision to never go there again. Two years ago, surgeons removed half of Makenna's brain. She can't walk, talk or communicate. The Johnsons said they never expected what happened as they lunched earlier this month at The Great Wall Super Buffet in Plano. "Well, Makenna makes an "uhhh" sound whenever she wants more," explained Matt Johnson, her father. "She hits her chest and she says 'uhhh.' Definitely not any louder than the other kids in the restaurant." Johnson, a pastor turned policeman, said the restaurant manager marched over, stuffed suckers in her hand, then singled them out. "He said 'Well, everyone's complaining. You need to go. You need to leave.' I said 'Are you serious?'" It happened at the restaurant's West Plano Parkway location on March 13. The manager wouldn't be interviewed on camera, but did show News 8 surveillance video of what happened. read more

Do yourself a favor and do not eat here, food is overly expensive, and cheap quality, a good portion of the desserts were from the dollar tree. This place was not good at all. The only good thing was the vanilla pudding and green beans. The food was cold, and the rice was crusty. The chow mein had NO flavor. It was gross.. Giving 1 because i can't give anything below that. I am not a fussy eater, but my experience was bad. The sushi was stale, hard and who wants to eat raw fish that looks 10 days old. Their fried appetizers were cold and rubbery. And the cakes were hard and stale. The only thing i went for a second for was the cantaloupe. Excellent service for a buffet. I started with a plate of salad and fruit and while went for entrees, my server cleaned my table and left fresh napkins. 130 pm on a Tuesday. Plenty of variety, food was hot and fresh. Salads were fresh. Eggrolls weren't as flavorful as I prefer, but they and their filling were fresh and crunchy. I travel extensively and am a harsh critic. This was some of the nastiest Chinese food that I've ever eaten. I would have walked out without eating, but was with a group and didn't have that option. Low points: the stink of shrimp past its prime; won tons that were rubbery, and a mouthful of undercooked gristle that nearly gagged me. Avoid at all costs. read more

My brother went and when he received the receipt the serve told him "you tip this much" and he said no, which she replied "this is not McDonald's, you tip me" and when he refused to tip her she threw the receipt at him and would not serve him the rest of the night and they had to get a new server just to get drinks.
