However, every time I come they question my daughters age every since she was 7 years old. Why you ask, because my daughter is tall. I am 5'10 and her father is 6'8; therefore, being tall is inevitable. This last time we there on (2/21/2023) The manager actually charged us (2) adult meals without question. I absolutely did not pay for that. I demanded the receipt be changed to reflect (1) adult and (1) child. The manager and the staff said they are not there to judge the age of my child. (Their words) Also, the manager had the audacity to tell me to bring in my child's birth certificate next time. Needless to say I was livid. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THAT ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN!!!!!! My wife, our friends and I have been going to this buffet since it opened. We even went there during the pandemic when it was very slow to help support it. My wife had bariatric surgery and only can eat a small amount of food and when we went there they normally charged her for a kids play plate. We drove all the way there from Gunter Texas Saturday night to have dinner. The girl at the front counter said that my wife had to go around with the styrofoam "to go box" and put whatever food she wanted in it and then bring it to the register and they would weigh it and charge her appropriately and then she could eat out of it. We did not want this, we wanted to sit at a table like we always have and eat and have the ability to go back to the buffet if we wanted to. The girl said that this was the new rule for people who had bariatric surgery. We told her that we would go somewhere else. She didn't seem to care so we left and went to a different Chinese buffet down the road. I am shocked that the rules have been changed to where you have to eat out of a styrofoam to go box just because you don't eat very much food. We will not be back. read more

Typical buffet fare. Chicken and mushrooms were great. Most other items were average. Service was friendly and attentive.

I really have to give this one star to myself for returning to this restaurant. As I walked up the ramp today I had a faint feeling that I did not like the food last time. Should have trusted my gut and turned around. The food is just not good sub par. Yet I ate it so the sun negative is for me being so stupid as to ignore my gut. So if I see myself considering the Great Wall again, I give myself permission to just slap myself silly. When you pull up and see a guy slapping himself in the parking lot you will know it is me. The staff was friendly. But I think the language barrier was our issue tonight. We had eaten our first plate and started on our second when my husband noticed a bug in his drink. The bug was like frozen in the ice it seemed. He noticed the waitress and she laughed. That's not funny. The bathrooms were pretty dirty and smelly in my opinion. And the worst thing of all, I ended up vomited on the car ride home. So that makes the food horrible in my opinion. Leaving me to give them 1 star. read more

Look, at the end of the day, it is a Chinese buffet. The food is always plentiful, and hot. There are a large number of choices for protein, veggies, starch, soup, dessert, and more! Nothing is amazing, but it's always pretty good. Keep in mind that it is a buffet close it is one of the better ones you'll find in the area. read more

Great Wall Super Buffet in frisco is my go to when I have surprise visitors or some sleep over teens. This place has all you need when you want Chinese tasty food. Lots of varieties to choose from. Clean environment, no smell, except that of Chinese food. We have been coming here for a long time but I've never wrote a review for this great restaurant. It was my baby girl Birthday and she love it here with her friends, they enjoyed every moment of it but I did set a rule, which they did abide by it! I said to them to respect this business by not wasting food, even though it's a buffet. Staffs were awesome and very attentive to customers, plates are taken asap to avoid clutter. Vibrant and wonderful place to have friends and families over when you feel like taking a break from y'all kitchen Price was not that bad, when it comes to me cooking and time spent in the kitchen. This place is ok. For a buffet, the price is a good deal for sure. The food is your typical Americanized type of Chinese food that is found in 2 or 3 item combos, etc kinda like Panda Express but with many more options. Besides the Asian hot food, they also have a salad/fruit bar, sushi, soup and dessert area. They fill your drinks for you. The only seafood we saw were boiled shrimp. I have been coming to this restaurant for several years now. It is very beautiful and peaceful inside. I usually come alone just to relax and take my time. It is very clean and has so much to choose from. I am a Pescatarian so it's important there be a nice selection and there definitely is something for everyone. They even have sushi and desserts. Kind of mixed reviews in what will likely be our last time here before moving out of state. First, it's a giant buffet, so know there'll be lots of opportunities for hits and misses along the way. They were real busy on a Friday night, and when the bus pulled up with 50+ teenage boys, you knew food would be scarce, so get it while you could. That said, while there were times some of the foods were low or out completely, the kitchen did a decent job of restocking, and everything was hot at least. In general, most of what we had was pretty good. The beef dishes, both broccoli beef and Mongolian beef, were both really tough and hard to eat. The chicken wings, usually one of the highlights, were tough as well. Only one of four I attempted were moist and tasty. Service was real slow most of the night. Dirty plates and empty drink cups sat longer than usual. Again, probably about what you'd expect from a buffet, where quantity takes precedent over quality. read more

I give it a 2 star for restaurant decore and vibe and also COVID19 safety/cleanliness protocol. Unfortunately, upon our visit,all of the food seemed to LACK flavor,or tasted exactly like the last dish we tried,doused and dunked in unnecessary sauces. The BBQ skewer meat was tough and the BBQ Pork,the one that looks red, was SO TOUGH and hard. The only thing that seemed to have good flavor was the calamari, but it seemed more like baked squid cuts rather than fried squid rings-- like calamari should be. The prime rib station at first excited me,but because it had been sotting under the heat lamp,my cut was dry. The staff member that waited on us seemed to know very little English but at least she wasn't rude or unwilling to help. There was just one man that my boyfriend asked if there was classic red soysauce-- they only seemed to have green. When he tried to say "red like your shirt" and guestured to his shirt,the man said "soysauce,yeah" and still handed him the green,rolled his eyes and put back in his airpods. A nice place to enjoy a variety of Asian foods and sushi. You have choice of tables or booths. They are easy to find from the street with free parking and clean restrooms. This was $15 on a weekend. Sushi just had 4 types. thats it and it didnt taste too good. The food seems underwhelming. The hot and sour soup was sour. The lo mein noodles lacked any other ingredianrs other than noodles. The dessert choices were limited and had no fruit. The ribs were better than other Asian buffets. I did not see any prime rib.
