The guy who was talking to me who I believed is the owner was super nice, the price was fair too. They been in the business so they know how to do their jobs. Those who say they're not an idiot are complete idiots. Again if you're looking for a place to drop off your clothes to do any kind of service that you can't do at home, this place is legit. Very bad service. Oops, no service. They just pretend they clean. Try it and you know what I mean. Send three clothes to dry clean. After pick up, they still smell the same. The 4 jackets were not thick they were thin (sweater type). All of this is aside from the point I got my jacket's back smelling like stagnant water. Smelled like a pile of wet dirty towels. It's very unfortunate that I have to write this review since I'm a big believer in supporting small businesses but this place was just ridiculous and definitely knows how to take advantage of their customers. First of all, they can never give you a quote when you drop off your clothes for alterations. And if they do, they misquote you. I've been here twice and my first visit wasn't as bad since it was the older lady I was dealing with. I dropped off two dresses to get altered and one of which was a three layered bridesmaid dress. The hem and the top part needed to be altered. The total that I had pay was $100, I repeat $100 to get TWO dresses altered. Now moving on to my second visit where this guy that now I'm assuming is the owner helped me. I needed another dress altered right away for my engagement shoot and the guy literally told me its $135 to get it altered. I thought the price was still high but because they're rushing it for me since it was last minute that's why the price was more than my first visit. And I'm pretty sure the girl that was working there heard it too. Then he kept on pinning the areas that needs to be altered and then I left. Picked up 3 days later and when I was about to pay I was just in shock when the girl told me the total...$185 to get a 1 dress altered!!! Ridiculous!!! I told her to contact the owner as there's definitely a misunderstanding. Not once did the owner tell me the price changed to $185 while he was marking the dress during my visit. If he was able to tell me the initial price, he sure as hell can tell me the final cost before I left! What an idiot and again TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! They should never be in business in the first place. Just look at their reviews and how many unhappy customers mentioned about them misquoting! It's my fault that I never checked the reviews before giving this place my business. It also just goes to show how shitty this place is when his own employee says, "I don't even get his pricing sometimes". **BEWARE** Do not go here. I dropped off a designer label, Shawl and Jacket, which were returned damaged. The Shawl had the care tags completely removed and missing somehow, AND the designer label was torn/ripped - The shawl was brought to them in pristine condition. I immediately brought this to the owner's attention. His response: Note: "No apology" - he stated damage to the labels did not mean damage to the item. In what world is that true when you bring in a thing to be dry cleaned, and it's returned with a torn anything that was not there when you left it with them, especially when these items are designer? In addition, they didn't even bother to clean one of the pieces as they stated they didn't have the right chemicals. They had my items for a week and waited until I arrived at the store at 4:30 pm to tell me. Inferior customer service; I will be steering anyone I know clear of this business. Was never greeted when I walked in. She just went straight to the register and I had to tell her I am a new customer! But whatever, I just want my clothes cleaned. So she gives me a receipt with just "6" items. I asked how much is my total? She said when you come and pick it up it'll have your total. Since when do they not give you a total before you leave?? So she goes to the manager and asks how much each item is. She tells me this is 9.95 this is 12.95 ... I'm like did you pull this number from thin air??? What's my total? This place rips you off. My hubby likes to go to places close to home. Keep the money in the area. Makes sense. We tried a couple locations and this one seemed to be the best. The staff are ok - tend to get confused if you bring in coupons. They do an ok job on washing the shirts and dry cleaning his pants. They did loose a pair of pants once, tried to tell us we only brought in 5 not 6. The next time I went i mentioned it to whom I thought was the owner, and he actually had the other pair in the missing tags pile! So it worked out They do take a long time though. Usually it's like 4-5 days. I guess I am use to the old next day if in before 5. And the prices seem high on dry cleaning (4.50 for a shirt) I did have them hem some curtains - way over priced to do it. And once I hung them they were very uneven!! Wow -- I *JUST* had the same experience with Green Spot. We have a $10 off coupon. This past weekend, we brought in 3 items which the female staff said would cost "about $20 total." So with the $10 off coupon, we expected to pay ~$10. However, when I picked up my clothes today, the guy said that I owe them a total of $22 EVEN AFTER the $10 off coupon was applied. I questioned the discrepancy but all he said was that the female staff "misquoted" the price. Interestingly enough, the amount charged was exactly $10 more than what was quoted. Too bad, they would have gotten so much business from us. DO NOT GO TO THEM!!! Take your clothes elsewhere. They don't deserve your clothes and $$. Which to me, is the whole point of a good dry cleaner. -2 Stars: 1. They switched the price on me, basically doubling the price when I took home my shirt and sportscoat! 2. The older guy owner seems somewhat combative and not very people person oriented. I brought in a shirt and sportscoat for dry cleaning. I was told a certain price for each item and initially was greeted by a nice young girl. The shirt was drycleaned somewhere else but I was not satisfied, as minor stains were still there. When I picked it up the clothes the shirt stains was gone. I was really impressed. This time the young girl was not there, but an older gentleman I assume was an owner or the owner or the boss. He was very gruff and seemed ready to combat with me. I was impressed with the dry clean, but when it came to pricing, the sportscoat cost doubled what the girl quoted me. I told him I was quoted a different price and he raised his tone and firmly said no, not that price for a sportscoat. I tried to diffuse the situation as I focused on his job well done on removing the stains on the shirt. He explained he uses different enzymes and does not use harsh chemicals like other cleaners. I was pissed off at the bait and switch pricing but at the same time impressed he got hard stains out of the shirt. There are a lot of businesses that want my money...so why in the world would I give my business to a place like this? Never again. I should have read the reviews first. Here are my thoughts...they did a decent job on dress shirts and pants, but they were not able to remove stains from ties and did not tell me (discovered that later). Here is the problem...you will never be told what you will pay per item...either when you drop off or pick up AND they overcharge. This order was just over $7 more than if I had used my original cleaners. My other cleaners isn't as close to home. Maybe I would have considered paying the inflated prices due to the convenient location, however the girl working the counter has a lot to be desired. She is in dire need of customer service training. It was obvious that she doesn't enjoy her job or people. If you are a business owner, you should consider that a friendly smile and greeting may actually encourage your customers back for repeat business. Majority of these posts are ancient, here's the TRUTH. Yes there was a young girl who was Phenomenal, but she left, which also left this place in disarray! The Owner dude is CLASSLESS! Will not RETURN EVER! Here's why: 1)Gave them 2 dress suit pants on a Monday, was told it would be ready by Thursday, I go in on Friday to pick up and was told not ready, come back Monday. I show up 1 week later, on the Monday and was told only 1 dress pant ready, come back Friday for the other pant. Really? More than 1 week for just 2 pants, yea no. 2) Give the dude a White dress shirt, that Friday I went in, then on Monday go to pick up and my white shirt is RUINED! Dirty, the back was stained, fine, we all make mistakes, but own up to those mistakes! Owner dude accepted no blame and even accused me and my spouse for the ruined shirt! Sorry dude, I work in an office, my shirt has no reason to be stained on the back of it as I sit in a leather chair plus I would have been told by the many fellow employees that the back of my shirt has stains. I know what I turned in. K fine, but 3) This is a dry cleaning place, Owner dude accepts no responsibility for anything done wrong to your clothing which is CLASSLESS! Bad business! I called to get a price on cleaning a comforter. They asked for the size and material and then quoted me $30. The website says, under "DRY CLEANING," "Comforters....$14.95+." I don't see how there can be such a huge range in the price. If a queen size costs $30, exactly what kind of comforter would qualify for the $14.95 listed price? I took the comforter in and to make sure asked the girl at the counter the cost. She asked for the size and quoted me $30. Then the owner walked in and she asked him for the price. He said $40. I told him that I was just quoted $30 to which he replied that that's the price for laundering a comforter, not dry cleaning. Certain material and colors can be laundered and others cannot. I told him that I had called and had given the size and material and was quoted $30, to which he again replied that $30 is the price for laundering. Why would I not be given the different prices when I called? Who takes a comforter to the cleaners to be washed? And who would pay $30 to have it washed? I agreed to the 'new' price and told the owner I also had a $10 off coupon. We stopped taking those coupons, he said. The coupon says it expires Jan. 2012, I said. He claimed that the receipt machine at Ralphs printed out the coupons when it shouldn't have. The worst ever and stressful experience I've ever had woth cleaners. This place was recommended by my Tailor to have my simple sheath Wedding dress cleaned for my wedding. Was not quoted a price at the time I took it in, which was partly my fault for not asking, was told it would be ready the following Thursday, ...went in, told it's not ready, ...went back on Saturday, the owner was not there who I dealt with in beginning, the dres was practically ruined...the stay in front chest area was pushed completely up and over into the neck line making the neckline all wrinkled, the hem was all gathered and wrinlkled, there was a deep crease pressed into the lower front of the dress. The girl tending me tried to push the stay in its proper place and her fingers were dirty, therefore making stains around front neckline. .etc!!!! I was furious. She then told me the charge was $92.00!!! She suggested leaving it over the weekend and would talk to owner...I went in Monday afternoon...he showed me the dress, looked like it might be ok...said to take and try it on and bring it back if something isn't right. As others mentioned in their reviews, this business used to be pretty good.......but unfortunately not any more. The reason for rating them so low is because over the past months the quality of service gotten worse, it takes them way to long to do a regular dry cleaning on a suit and laundry on shirts (sometimes even over five days!!!), some of my shirts shrunk, some shirts came back with stains, buttons missing on shirts and suits. They are also on the more expensive end, which i used to be fine with, but with all those errors happening lately I will not go back and wouldn't recommend this business. read more
