4/6/26 This has been a place I have been coming since I was a kid with my Parents and & Grandma and Grandpa. They know us very well. The service was great , Armando A was our server and he was excellent. We sat outside on a beautiful sunny Cali day. It was so nice out . Everyone enjoyed their food . I had a Bloody Mary to start which was delicious. I had the Stephen's chicken sandwich no mushrooms for me but was delicious. We had a good time with my Mom & Dad . Great outdoor atmosphere, very chill place , great food . Will be back again I'm sure next visit. Enjoy !!!!

I came to GSR with two colleagues and we had a wonderful time. We made a reservation in advance for lunchtime and were quickly seated upon arrival. The salads here are huge! We each got a salad and def couldn't finish them. I got the Cornucopia without blue cheese and thought it was excellent. However, my friend got the Dianne and I have to admit that was much tastier! Again, the salad portions are huge so be prepared to take some home or, better yet, share it with a friend. The zucchini bread is also very good. It's dense but moist. It comes w butter but I think it's great on its own without butter. I hope to come back again to try something else! My friends love the breakfast menu so maybe I'll try that next time. There is parking in the paid garage attached to the restaurant.

Big, spacious restaurant with lots of indoor seating. Make sure you make reservations, it gets busy on the weekend. Their famous zucchini bread was so good, not too sweet, moist & even better with butter. Their most famous dish is the steak & diane salad. I got it medium rare, tasted good even without sauce & the diane salad never disappoints. My husband enjoyed his all American burger with fries & my kids enjoyed the shrimp pasta & chicken pasta. All the dishes had generous portions, we were very full. You can park for free on Shoppers Lane/Cordova behind Jamba/Panda/Chipotle.

Food was delicious and they gave us plenty. Service was great, although it was a big group, our server made sure we're taken care of. The ambiance was nice and clean.

This is a lively restaurant with a varied and reasonably priced menu. Nice ambience as well.

    Bug in Green Street Salad

BARF! We ordered the Diane Salad and the Arroyo salad to go, got 1/2 way through my salad and there was a BUG in it. I almost ate it because it looked like a black bean. It was some sort of black beetle. Whatever it was it was GROSS. It's sad because we used to go to Green Street like 10 years ago and thought we'd try it again. Needless to say, this will be my last trip to Green Street. No one wants to find a bug in their half eaten salad. Sad.

The food was mostly good and portions are generous. My pork chop was flavorful, and the zucchini bread was outstanding. However, there were multiple issues with my friend's hamburger. They never asked how he wanted it cooked, and it arrived rare. He requested crispy fries, but they were regular and had to be sent back. When the burger was returned more cooked, despite asking for no mayo, it came back with mayo again. He ended up not eating the burger and just had some of his wife's salad. Service was okay, but there were too many mistakes. The restroom was also dirty. I informed a staff member, but it was not properly cleaned. Good food potential, but attention to detail and cleanliness need improvement.

This was my second time visiting Green St. In six years. Both times we sat outside on busy Shoppers Ln. with mature planter box plants sheltering us from the street. While the Diane Salad was pretty much lettuce, almonds, sesame seeds, chicken, and fried/puffed rice noodles, it was all brought together with their Diane Salad, salad dressing. $22.50 for a large, which in 3 days you will never be able to finish so don't order that huge amount. Server very nice but never came back to check on us.

My mom always goes and buys zucchini bread for me. But this time I was biting a piece of it and I almost broke off a tooth idk what this is but maybe hard dough or something ??? I know stuff happens and accidents but thank god I didn't brake a tooth. Idk what it is but might want to becareful guys! But either than this little hiccup I still love their zucchini bread.

Great service, hearty breakfast and a nice indoor/outdoor seating area. I stopped by this spot for an early morning meeting after I finished my workout across the street. The food was pretty good and the coffee was decent. There isn't a lot of variety here with most breakfast having the same things but the lunch and dinner menu had more to offer. Each breakfast comes with a zucchini bread instead of traditional toast but don't fret you can substitute it for toast if you wish. I had enough food leftover for another breakfast so come hungry!

Get the cornucopia salad with Dianne dressing instead (I'm a fan of dressing on the side)! The zucchini bread is unreal. I cannot believe how good it is every time. It's very fresh and the veggies are nice and crisp mmmm! Staff is always kind and helpful. Someone other than your waiter will come fill up your glass of water - attentive, I like it! It's a nice, quiet and calming environment. It's perfect for a family dinner, a catch up meal with a friend, or a date night! The outdoor seating is perfect. The prices seem a little high for a salad but they are GIANT and with the side of the zucchini bread, it's worth it.

Came here when visiting with a recommendation from family. The place has a great patio with lots of umbrellas/shaded options. Wonderful and attentive service. The Dianne salad was super tasty, would highly recommend. It's a very large portion, I was happy we got the lunch size. The salad comes with two slices of absolutely delicious zucchini bread! I took one slice home and it kept well. The adjacent parking garage machine was a little tricky, but you can also pay when you exit.

Ask the Community - Green Street Restaurant

Until what time is breakfast served?

    I believe 2pm

How do I order a Diane salad for A group?

Excellent choice! You can call them up for a pickup order. The salad comes with a few slices of the zucchini bread. Best to compliment the order with a full loaf. Hope I answered your question.

Does Green St still make a Stephen's omelette?

One of our top selling sandwiches is the Stephen Sandwich (Chicken breast/sauteed mushrooms/onions/avocado/sour cream/cheese on grilled sourdough). We don’t serve a Stephens Omelette but since we have all the ingredients one could order a custom…

Do they sell just the zucchini bread? Can I just walk in and pick up or do I need to order in advance?

I've walked in and made my order. I've ordered a beer and sat at the bar while I wait for my order. They also have a small shop where you can pick up a loaf of zucchini bread, take some beer to go or evet a shirt.

    Is there parking nearby?

Yes, a covered parking lot for all restaurants in the same area. No validations though.

Do they do bottomless mimosas for brunch?

We serve a great Mimosa but they are not bottomless.

    Is there curbside pick up?

Technically no from my recollection; however if there are openings alongside the front, you can parallel park along the curb and call them asking really cordially/nicely I think they will deliver to your car - as a parent with multiple kids it helps…

Do they take lunch reservations? Is there outdoor seating?

I can't answer if they take lunch reservations, but there is an outdoor protected area in front of the restaurant.

    Do you take dinner reservations?

    they do take reservations

What time do you open on Friday right now? I'm looking for a local (Pasadena) spot for a 1:1 breakfast meeting at 9:30am with a community partner.

Thanks for your inquiring. Unfortunately we don't open until 11:00 during the week (Monday-Friday). We open at 10:00 on Saturday & Sunday.

    Can I make reservations?

    Yes

Is there still outdoor seating at this restaurant?

No, outdoor seating is closed everywhere.

Do they allow pets in the patio?

Unfortunately, they do not allow pets in the patio.

How much is a whole loaf of zucchini bread to go?

I think $8 or $9...and worth every penny!

The parking lot behind is validated for 90 minutes if you eat here which is a good addition. The restaurant looks very nice in the inside and is a great place to sit down to talk with others. Now onto the service, the service is very good, the waitress always had a smile on her face and the staff are incredibly quick. The food came out at a decent time so we didn't have to wait long for it and the coffee is served almost instantly after ordering it. Onto the food, the chicken steak with 2 eggs (3/5) was alright, hard to describe how it tastes like but it doesn't taste bad. I feel as if the first half of eating it would be pleasant but then after that, the taste of it gets tiring. The egg was perfectly cooked to how I asked (sunny side up), yolk was perfectly runny and beautiful. The hash browns are tasty and crispy. The English muffin was so good and buttered nicely, my dad even wanted to order one to go just so my mother could try it. That's some commitment. I always order the Special Spuds (4.5/5), it is my favorite. The avocado is fresh and they give such a generous amount of sour cream. It does have a lot of cheese and oil so if you're going in the morning for light brunch, you probably want to order something else because I couldn't even eat half of it and I was stuffed. The Belgian waffle is so light and delicious (4/5). The cream on top of it is salty and honestly pairs so well with the syrup. It gives it such a more sophisticated taste. Tastes pretty good to me but if you're going for a crispy and more crunchy waffle, this isn't the one for you.

Had this bookmarked & noticed that a few Yelp Friends have left their reviews on here. It looks like that hometown feel type of shop but the experience today was NOT that. Service was polite but not quite that welcoming that you would feel at a mom n pops shop. It's too bad coz if it were, we would frequent this diner/cafe. Most places that we're regulars at, we feel valued as patrons and are welcomed like family. I find less and less places have this kind of atmosphere. We ordered breakfast staples; Hubby ordered a machaca combo with flour tortillas & black beans, I opted for the (2 large!) banana walnut pancakes combo with chicken apple sausage, potatoes & over medium eggs. Our food arrived timely, hot and good presentation. Hubby said the machaca was decent because having had his fair share of machaca, these passed. My pancakes were huge! Flavor was good, as the banana slices & walnuts were cooked in, not just placed on top like most places. Macadamias would've been a better pairing though. The chicken apple sausage was flavorful & eggs were cooked as requested. Noise level was somewhat loud with all the clanging as tables were cleaned/bussed around us. Overall a decent experience for our first time visit, as mentioned, if the service was more thoughtful & welcoming, it would've made the difference from a 3 star to perhaps a 4 or a 5 star. Food for thought.

The manager told me that the host had "said it wrong" and that the other customer had a reservation. I understand that reservations need to be honored, but then why were we told that this particular table was ours after we had already waited 90 minutes? We had given our name, followed the waitlist process, and patiently waited. If there was a reservation for that table, the staff should have known and communicated that clearly. The next available table could have been given to the reservation party. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was the manager's attitude toward us compared with his attitude toward the other party. We had done nothing wrong. We were understandably unhappy because someone else was seated at the table we had just been promised. Since the confusion was caused by the restaurant, we would have appreciated at least a meaningful "I'm sorry." Instead, the manager seemed annoyed when speaking with us (think about a cold tone voice and side eyeing). At the same time, he was smiling and friendly toward the other party. The difference in attitude was very noticeable and left us feeling like we were not being treated fairly or equally. This was especially uncomfortable with the difference in our ethnicity and the other party. I cannot say for certain that race was the reason for what happened, but the combination of being passed over for a table we were told was ours, and then seeing the manager treat the other party so differently made it very difficult not to question. I hope the restaurant reviews how its hosts and managers handle situations like this, because customers deserve to be treated consistently and respectfully.

The Reyn is a popular breakfast spot in Pasadena and a place I still visit from time to time,…read moreusually when meeting friends or colleagues. Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

I had never been to Bone Kettle and didn't know what to expect, but wow the service was impeccable! Our waters were kept full, and waiters were swift to clear empty plates or wipe the table before placing the next courses down! The ambiance is lightly dimmed and intimate and very spacious both indoor and outdoors seating. To begin I had the malaria corn riblets and silly me I tried to eat it with a chopsticks and biting right through it. LOL. When I realized the cob is there I ended up using my hands to eat it and I did feel like I'm in a nice restaurant but using my hands felt a bit weird but that's OK, it was absolutely delicious, the corn was easily pulled off the cob and the aoli had a very rich flavor. To drink we were offered the $25 surprise option which was between white or red wine and we chose the red. Our surprise wine was the Abondanza red and paired absolutely perfectly with the meal. For the second course my friend and I both chose the Nasi Udok and boy were we happily smelling the scent of the food and digging right in. Those braised eggs had an amazing taste accented by whatever the sauce was on top I've never had an egg like this. The Cornish hen was lightly crunchy on the outside and nice and hot and juicy on the inside. Absolutely delicious paired with the rice which had this aromatic ginger smell and taste too me that just complemented everything so well. For the last course was dessert and we got the Panna cotta. This is not your average Panna Cotta, no it's amazing. The cheesy base sits in a pool of sauce and little green tid bits that my friend and I can't guess what they are. Instead of being a sweet sweet dessert, the Panna Cotta was a sweet savory dish. I loved the variation and I savored every bite. Definitely a very delicious and amazing experience that I recommend next time you're in the area!

The famed Bone and Kettle lived up to its reputation!…read more Dine LA was the perfect excuse to finally try out this spot! We stopped by for brunch and sampled quite a few dishes off their menu. Our spread included the Spicy Papaya Salad, Salted Egg Crispy Shrimp, Bone Kettle Bone Broth & Noodles with Braised Oxtail, Duck & Pandan Waffles, and Island Rice Plate. Most of these were recs from our server! Everything was delish! Loved seeing Southeast Asian flavors getting spotlighted in such tasteful ways. Their Bone Broth was insane- definitely have mastered their craft here and lived up to their name. You get to pick your protein (we went with the Braised Oxtail- highly recommend) and it comes with a side of noodles. Perfectly shareable or enjoyed solo. Like I said, you really can't go wrong with so many hits on the menu, but definitely give their bone broth a sip!
