Combo plate with chicken broccoli and pork fried rice.
    Adrian G.

I tried Green Tea Chinese last night and it was good. Food was hot and fresh and it came out quickly. Small but nice restaurant inside with fast, efficient service. I ordered a small wonton soup and a combination plate with chicken broccoli and pork fried rice.

This has been the 5th plus time over a few years. I always ask for house made fresh hot mustard and they always say yes, today I opened the bag in front of them and they didnt say anything when I couldn't find the hot mustard. They have packets on the side but they are not fresh. It's disappointing to be gaslight in 2026 by your local Chinese restaurant

Nice clean restaurant. Food came out hot and fresh and quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful.

(After Consuming) - Lunch 74. Kung Pao Chicken and hot and sour soup.

Came here for the first time on my way back to California from TX. On a Wednesday at 12pm noon, only a couple other people in here at this time. They were super quick and everything was super hot (temp). I ate there. Spice level is good for a standard level, if you love spice then get extra. Hot and sour was tasty, too. I got no water chestnuts and it was a non-issue and I didnt find any. They gave wonton strips for with the soup. And it's a big portion for lunch. The fried rice is also great. Only note is that I didn't catch for lunch it was soup OR soda. So if you want both, make sure to order it. Better for to probably have water anyway haha! They also didn't skimp on the peanuts for kung pao. Proportions of meat to veggies were good but tons of celery lol

Very cozy interior, and the service was attentive and respectful. The best part of this spot is the price to portion ratio; you can get a meal and a half for $12, and that's based on American portion standards. If you're from across the pond or elsewhere on this great green Earth, you could easily get two servings out of this. Finally, the egg roll; very traditional-tasting, not what you might be used to if you only eat American egg rolls.

Egg roll, yes they're tiny but they come for free with the combo and they're a little more than $1 a la carte so get over it lol

I am shocked at some of the bad reviews here. I don't know why someone said it was dirty. The place was sparkling clean when I went. Service was fine for the level of restaurant. I didn't find it to be rude or super attentive but I thought it matched(no deduction). This place is easy to find. And they get your food ready quick. Mine took 15 minutes. The pricing is incredible. This is also one of those places that does a large and small option on most of their dishes so it's insanely reasonable compared to what everyone else charges. I got an egg roll and a chicken lo mien combo. The lo mien I thought was really good. 5/5. The pork fried rice was ok. I think it's made in bulk and they just scoop it in. I'll try the house special to see if it improves next time. 3/5 for the rice. Egg roll is a 5/5 and they're NY style eggrolls! Which for some reason are impossible to find out west. I do believe all the bad ratings are for a reason similar to pizza ratings in AZ. It is simply that people in Arizona have been eating such bad Chinese for years that they don't really know what American NY style Chinese tastes like. This place is what this food is supposed to taste like. This will now be my go to for Chinese in the area.

Stopped in to try this place. Looking for some good Chinese by our house. Customer Service was very good. The lady taking our order was very attentive and gave use free General Tso's chicken. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to be cooked. No biggie there because it was fresh. Orange and General Tso's Chicken was crispy and full of flavor. We loved that we ordered it lightly spiced and it was on point. Pupu Platter was yummy. The only complaint was, the ribs were tough and the shrimp were not cleaned. The egg rolls were my favorite part! House Chow Mein was full of flavor. It had just the right amount of meat and the noddles were perfectly soft. The reason for 3 stars: This place wasn't anything to write home about. Our expectations were a little higher than what we were given. We'd definitely come back because they have great prices but it's not a 4 or higher star Chinese food place.

Their food is consistently the same no matter how busy it is, most recently during a heavy dinner hour - prime time. Yes, expect to wait, we started the 30 plus wait time out side and then inside in the small waiting area. It's not fancy by any means. TVs with a game on, servers moving about, and a steady stream of to go orders. We had King Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Also Wongs fried rice & appetizer plate and soups. I had hot & sour soup, absolutely delicious, a little spicy as it should be. My Mongolian Beef was probably the best prepared, very tender beef and flavorful I've had, and always consistently the same each visit. The other entrees severed were equally flavorful, tender meats and served fresh & hot. Servers are kind and knowledgeable of each dish and offer suggestions of their favorites. The seating area is in need of updating but very clean, as are the restrooms. But it's about the quality, quantity & consistency that keeps me returning. Just go!

The food is consistently outstanding, and the warm, attentive service keep us coming back time and time again. On this visit, we ordered the sautéed whole lobster with green onions and ginger, beef lo mein, shrimp lo mein, walnut shrimp, and fried rice. Every dish was prepared beautifully and packed with flavor, but the lobster was truly divine. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and infused with the aromatic flavors of fresh ginger and green onions, it was one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression long after the meal is over. The beef and shrimp lo mein were equally delicious, with rich savory flavors and generous portions, while the walnut shrimp was perfectly crisp with a delicate sweetness that balanced the dish beautifully. The fried rice was the perfect complement to everything on the table. We also enjoyed a few sake bombers, which are hands down the best we've had anywhere. They are always perfectly prepared and have become a must-order whenever we visit. They pair wonderfully with the food and add an extra touch of fun to an already fantastic dining experience. It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. We also ordered beer and a whisky drink so we weren't cheap. The food was pretty good. The ticket time on my entree was about 10 minutes but the other two at our table didn't get their food for almost half an hour. No consistency. I may try this place again much earlier in the night.

The shrimp was excellent. Very early in our meal they were persistent in clearing our table. (we're still working on that); when they picked up the last few plates plates the server had our check in her hand. By golly she wanted us out of there! (Um, we kinda wanted another glass of wine...). Why? The place wasn't packed. Why the rush? The food is fine, as I mentioned, but the vibe was off for us. The food is decent here and their hot mustard is delightfully potent.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

**July 2026: Thursday Night**…read more We wanted to end our trip on a high note so we decided to try Lom Wong, a 2025 James Beard Award winner! The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. It was the perfect final meal for our trip, and I'd definitely come back again.

I really want to believe it was a fluke. Rushing to get food out quickly to mimic Thai street food is not desirable when quality is sacrificed and the customer is paying almost $40 for a plate.. I will say the food came out within minutes of ordering. Our server was nice and patient. I needed some extra time to look over the menu and he didn't rush us to order even though he was very busy. The food was so lackluster and it pains me to say that about a Thai restaurant. Every dish was just missing something, whether it was some spicy or citrus. Every dish was very one dimensional. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. The Naem Khao Tawt, or crispy rice salad, may have been my favorite bite of the night. It had a great balance of textures and flavors. It was refreshing and helped cut through some of the dryness of the crab curry. I loved the cured pork sausage. Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai, or the stir fried flat rice noodles with squid, wasn't terrible. I love flat rice noodles and they had the distinct char that you would get from wok cooking. Loved that. The flavors overall weren't bad. Just again, underwhelming and lacked a good balance of flavors. I would have liked more spice, citrus, and umami. We did not care for the creme brûlée duo. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.
