Absolutely no garlic in the chicken Alfredo. Also no garlic on the garlic bread. It tastes like they opened a jar of Ragu. The Philly cheesesteak did not have shaved meat but a few flavorless medallions. There was also no cheese on the Philly cheese steak sandwich. The peppers and onions were prepackaged. The food was great, servers are polite. Unfortunately, the 3 x that I have been, 2x with large groups and 1x as just a twosome, the service was painfully slow. The last time I went, we arrived at 5:30, placed our orders shortly after, and did not receive our meals until 8 pm without apologies or a manager stopping by (similar experience the prior 2x as well). All 3 times I sat on the 2nd floor and for some reason the servers carry each plate individually up the stairs which makes it even more painfully slow. It's really too bad because I would love to return and show this place more love, your food is awesome and so is the ambiance. I just don't have the time or patience. read more

I've been here twice and neither time was a good experience. The problem is the service--AWFUL. The first time the server took forever to take our drink orders then forever to bring the drinks then forever to take our food orders. I never did get my food before I had no choice but to leave because I had other appointments. The second time was much the same. Server was very slow and then did not bring all the things that came with my sandwich. I asked her for the missing item, but she never brought it and never checked on my friend and me so I could tell her again. I may return simply because it is near where I work, but next time I will be speaking to the MOD to avoid similar experiences. read more

This is a great little restaurant! Two things stood out to us besides the really good food & beer options. 1) the hospitality was top notch. Every server and bartender we encountered was super friendly and hospitable. 2) the greens beans were excellent! We're trying to recreate them at home, but they were an excellent side to my husband's steak dinner and he is still raving a few days later. We hope to be back soon to try more food options! We liked everything we ordered, and can recommend the pretzel sticks appetizer, the steak & green beans, Caesar salad, coleslaw, and patty melt burger! All worth the price. read more

I really, really want to give this place more stars but they won't let me. I've been twice now and the service has been so p a i n f u l l y slow I doubt I ever go back. The restaurant is a nice space, they've done a nice job with decor. I arrived with a friend on a Saturday evening. We were seated quickly. We were seated upstairs in the very, very back; we were the ONLY people sitting up there. It was very awkward. Since we were tucked away in a upstairs corner, it seemed as if our server frequently forgot about us. It took over 20 minutes just to get drinks to the table. The server came back after about 65 minutes after we placed our order just to "verify" he'd put in the right items. It almost seemed as if he forgot to put our order in an hour prior. I ordered a patty melt; it was very good and hot. The onions were perfectly caramelized. My friend had the pulled pork and said it was very good as well. We got got french fries which were very fresh and hot. Unfortunately the good food was followed up with a long wait to get the check - over 35 minutes after we finished eating, the server finally made an appearance and seemed shocked we were ready to go. We were there for almost three hours - far too long for a couple sandwiches and fries. A man I assume was the manager walked past us often to retrieve supplies from the upstairs storage - he didn't seem at all concerned about the amount of time we spent waiting. The slowness is more than enough to keep me away, especially considering a $14 sandwich doesn't include a side. read more

Absolutely the best burger I have had! The Bartender suggested the special, I usually get a plain burger, but the mozzarella stuffed burger with roasted tomatoes and basil mayo was by far the best burger I have ever ate! I asked for the green beans instead of steak fries and they were perfect, no upcharge! My husband had the patty melt and it was wonderful as well, he traded out the American cheese for the smoked Gouda and really made for a nice flavor! If you have not been to Griggsby's lately, you are truly missing out! Plus $4 pints on Tuesday's! We will be returning soon! Great job! read more

Here is the worst thing I have ever heard - "I have never had one of their steaks." I just had the ribeye and split it with my husband. And if I wasn't full, I would order another. It was awesome. And we shared pulled pork carnitas and a House salad before the steak, which were also great. The blood orange spritzer was also sweet and yummy. Thanks for a great dinner! read more

After 3 visits, I'd have to say this place has won me over. Quaint little gastropub with good food and drinks. Changing menu, which is cool to me always something new to try. Portions are small side. We usually compensate with appetizer. I'd love it if you'd make fries with your sandwiches! Very cramped downstairs. We prefer a table up top. I have yet to do the Patio, but can't wait for a hot summer night out. This place is way too classy for Greenfield, yet it's busy most nights! Thank you for elevating our little town. I still don't know if I can forgive you for the Bud Light on draft, but I understand, you have to get the locals in the door. Hopefully they will branch out and try your other local taps. Stopped by Griggsby's Station on my way back from Ohio... There is a reason it is in the top 3 restaurants in Greenfield on Yelp! The food was amazing! My Mom and I ordered decided to split and appetizer for our entree so we would have room for dessert. The soup of the day was Chicken Spinach Artichoke soup and man o man was it good. The chicken was plentiful and it tasted just like what you would think a Spinach Artichoke dip would taste like. The croutons were soft and coated lightly with Parmesan which paired wonderfully with the soup. After seeing every table have a plate of the Pulled Pork Nachos, we decided that we should try them too. I was not as impressed as my Mom. The plate was plentiful with Chips, house made Cheese Sauce, Pulled Pork and garnished with Chipotle Creama, Red and Green Onions and BBQ Sauce. I'm super super picky about BBQ sauces and this one was too sweet for my liking, but this menu item seems to be popular again because almost everyone had ordered them. We rounded out our evening by sharing our desserts of Dulce de Leche Cake and Bread Pudding. I live on the South side of Indy but would drive back to Greenfield to eat here again. So Good! read more

Ordered the chicken Alfredo, for $19 it was very bland, the bread was as well. Would suggest pepper, garlic powder and butter, onion powder, and a dash of chili powder. Also toast the bread more throughly and add garlic, it seemed to be just butter. Someone ordered a Cesar salad, the lettuce was limp, so I am assuming it was over a day old or was not being stored properly. I would suggest using a paper towel to absorb the moisture. Also ordered the fried bologna sandwich, for $10, the bread was plain, would have expected it to be toasted with some flavor as well. Fried pickles were good, no complaints there. We notified the server about the Alfredo and she said, "yeah" and offered a free dessert. For the price I would not come back or suggest it. read more

Nice little downtown spot in GREENFIELD, INDIANA!! Was in town for work again and looking for a place to eat that was away from all the hotels and chains so we figured we'd look downtown. Was actually looking for another location and drove by Griggsby's and thought it looked like a cool place to check out. After looking on Yelp, and from the looks of the building, we decided to check it out. From the minute you walk in, the staff is very friendly. The two of us chose to sit at the bar, as there isn't a lot of seating on the first floor, but there is an also an upstairs dining area. It also has a really nice outdoor dining area, too, but we chose the a/c. Also, the decor is modern yet old school. It's really neat in there and the owners did a great job with an old building. I don't know how it looked before, but I assume it's all the old brick from when the building was originally constructed. The only negative is that it's a really tight space for the bartenders - but that doesn't affect customers at all. Anyway, the barmaid was very friendly. She was really busy making drinks but it didn't stop her from having a conversation with us and getting us taken care of. The nice thing about her is that she was very genuine. She wasn't the overly flirty type trying to get a couple guys from out of town to give her big tips. You could tell that she just enjoyed what she was doing and is a happy person. That REALLY makes a dinner even better. I'll say that the menu is kind of small, but that can be a good thing as that may mean that the they don't make a lot of different things, but what they do make they're really good at. That's what I was hoping for anyway. I was looking for something a little lighter as it was later in the evening because I just got into town, so I ordered the "catch of the day". Surprisingly, it was shrimp scampi. It was really good! The shrimp were huge and very tasty with the perfect seasoning. I also ordered a cup of the creamy tomato soup because another staff member heard us ask what the soup was and she described it saying "if you like tomatoes and tomato soup then you'll love this". Well we both got the soup and both of us thought it was great. My co-worker got a burger and it looked really good. I can't comment on it because you can't tell from looking at it how good it is. I could give his opinion, but his taste buds are different than mine. For the record, he said it was good but the egg on it made it great (again... Different taste buds is all I'll say!) Regardless, it was big and looked good, minus the egg. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars - yet - is because I haven't tried enough of their food. Plus, you really have to blow me away to get all 5. I'll be going back...this week! I'll update this review after that. We are from Dallas and have Cordon Bleu Chefs in the family, as well as waitresses & bartenders. Service was very good. Definitely will return when we return to Indy. I always seem to leave here disappointed. It is a little pricy for the quality you get. The menu is smaller than most and doesn't offer many options if you're not into meat. I have ordered burgers here a couple times and every time they are dry and not very flavorful. Nothing like the burgers at the Mug, which has the same owners. The Asian BBQ wings most recently were over cooked and the sauce was way too salty for my liking. I wish the menu would expand and include more interesting salads and entrees. On to the positives, it has a great ambiance, a good beer selection, and inventive some cocktails. My parents love it and it's great if you want a low key place to eat that doesn't make you feel rushed to eat and leave. I went last year for my birthday and the kitchen surprised me with a seriously beautiful birthday cake, which was very cool! Stop in if you're in town, but stick to drinks and appetizers. read more

If I was able to give zero stars I would. This goes on the list of top three worst dining experiences I've ever had. We were seated upstairs in the back and it seemed like the waitress, Desi, just forgot about us most of the time. We got our drinks after the appetizers, which arrived pretty quickly. Had to wait a solid 30 minutes for initial waters, and another 45 for refills. When the waters finally came 30 min later, our dinner orders were taken. About 30-45 minutes later our dinner arrived. We had two Philly cheesesteaks, two burgers, and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich had a burnt bun, neither of the cheesesteaks had onions, and one of the cheesesteaks had a blond hair. The person eating the sandwich was a brunette. All of the food was lukewarm at best. We waited for the waitress to come back so we could send the chicken and cheesesteak back to be remade and she did not come back. So we walked the sandwiches downstairs and told someone what happened. They offered Mac and cheese? Under the assumption that they would be remade, or at least the waitress would be told, since she was MIA, we went back up to wait for the new dishes. The new dishes never arrived and when the waitress finally came back up, we told her what happened and that those of us who got food would like our checks and to speak with the manager. The manager, red hair and beard, then slowly walked over to us with an electronic device in his face, stood at the table for about 30 sec before actually muttering a word, and when I said "hello" he said "I'm putting in some discounts on your appetizers." He never introduced himself or cared to hear what was going on. When we told him what happened his response was, "well you never said you wanted the sandwiches remade." Excuse me? The overall attitude of the staff here is astounding. It's so sad that Tyner Pond Farms has such rude unapologetic people working for them. Two of our party left without dinner and the other two of us had an uncomfortable experience because of the way that the situation was mishandled. The staff at Griggsby Station should take notes from the staff at the Mug in Irvington because they actually know how to respect their patrons. read more

I had been looking forward to visiting this new Gastropub. We came in and were seated upstairs. (Didn't request upstairs.) As we were placing our drink order we were rudely requested to move back downstairs as we were taking up a four top instead of a two top. We were in the middle of ordering drinks. There were maybe ten other folks in the place. We moved downstairs to a two top and my hubby was so incensed with the way we were treated that we left. They said have a good rest of the day. We headed to Wasabi and had a great Hibachi dinner with good customer service. I don't think we'll be heading back to Griggby's anytime soon as it just wasn't a good experience. After a stressful week really needed a relaxing meal. read more

Overall, I like the restaurant. I enjoy the feel and the overall atmosphere of it. I have been here a couple of times and each time I got the fried bologna sandwich with chips. If you go there you have to get it...trust me. They bring a jug of water to your table that seems like a waste of time due to the fact that is room temperature (some people might like warm water to drink?) The service is good but slow. My servers have always been friendly and do a good job but it takes forever to get the food to the table. Hopefully that will work itself out the longer they are open. read more

Cool place. It's been busy every time I've been. Great atmosphere, great drink menu and the service is consistently good. The food quality is "meh" particularly for a place that describes itself as "pasture to pub." I have yet to have anything I'd offer twice. On my last visit I had the Asian BBQ wings and a cup of the potato soup. I got a cup despite ordering a bowl. Not a big deal. The wing's size, quality and taste were consistent with a BW3's but with too much salt. The soup was so so. Not sure what the issue is with the kitchen considering how well they do everything else. read more

I expected great things because I followed the projects progress from initiation to completion on social media. I was aware of the background on some of the players involved. I'm happy to report I was not disappointed. The three of us in my party all had different meals and shared the beer soaked fries. Whoa the fries we all wanted more. My brother loved his burger even motioned he could tell the beef local farm fresh. My fiancé had the carnitas (pork) tacos. She had reservations because she isn't a pork fan usually. But she as well could tell a definite quality difference. I had the wings. Sauce was excellent the meat was tasty and to be honest they were a little over cooked. My server offered me more but I declined and finished them. I understand a opening weekend and a staff learning. All of us were pleased with the quality, taste and portions. Please understand many meals don't have sides. I think its important to know this. So that way you can order a appetizer if you're concerned you might not have enough. Also eating local farm raised produce and meat free of fillers, preservatives and pesticides cost more. So you're paying a little more for that quality. I'm just glad we have more such options.
