    Bitches Brew Hash
    Grace K.

I was waiting in line for a kbeauty event nearby and got hungry so I asked my bf to go get some food while he got come coffee that he needed. He sent me the menu and we both agreed that the Bitches Brew Hash seemed the easiest to eat in line and sounded most delicious! Instead of poached eggs we changed it to scrambled eggs (err on the side of caution to not get food poisoning). The bowl was so so good! There was plenty of sauce and the ratios were perfect! I would go back to Hollywood area just to eat this dish again.

After a recovery session at Sweatheory, I finally visited Groundwork Coffee, a spot I had seen but never tried. I was greeted immediately upon walking in. The Vietnamese iced coffee was incredible rich and strong, exactly what I needed to wake me up and fuel a productive Saturday study session. The space has a really open, inviting layout, perfect whether you are plugging away on your laptop or catching up with friends. The lighting is just right. Between the atmosphere and that coffee, I will definitely be back.

One of the best coffee and breakfast spots in town! The breakfast burrito bite with tempeh bacon saves the day with my workday breakfast! And the honey latte with cinnamon does not miss. Let's support our beloved local ‍ inclusive coffee shops instead of that union-busting, soulless corp (you know the one).

This little coffee shop is great. Was a quick walk from our hotel and the coffee was really smooth and had a great flavor. The banana bread was delicious and was a thick slice! The barista was sweet too!

Love this location! The location is always very clean and employees are friendly and helpful. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the vegan breakfast burrito (we are vegetarian). Personally I enjoyed the regular breakfast burrito more than the vegan burrito. But both were still very yummy! The total for two burritos and a coffee was $40, which is a bit pricey but that's LA! I was able to snatch a meter street parking spot but might be tricky to find street parking.

Excellent service, friendly staff, good Latinx music, and delicious cappuccino with homemade cashew milk. The biggest challenge was that the groundworks wifi stopped working while I was taking a call! I tried to log on afterwards and unable to so had to take rest of the call by phone.

Stopped by for a quick morning beverage. I got the hot matcha latte with almond milk, it was solid but nothing super exceptional. Very friendly staff and nice cozy interior that I'd come back for! The pastries and breakfast burrito caught my eye for next time.

Had to try the Horchata Cold Brew! Bf got an iced latte with agave & hemp milk

I love horchata so when I saw Horchata Cold Brew on the menu, I had to try it! It's premixed with almond milk, great for non-dairy consumers. It's pretty good but could be a little sweeter. The iced latte with agave & hemp milk was ok.

This is my go-to whenever I'm at my LA office or in the Hollywood area. I love Groundwork because: 1) they have a great loose leaf tea selection - and I do mean great! I like black tea, so usually go with Earl Grey or English Breakfast (I prefer the Earl Grey), but they have about a dozen available. 2) ample indoor seating 3) fresh squeezed orange juice! 4) they open at 7am!!! The staff are also very friendly. I have worked from here for short while, too, while waiting for my office to open -- the brick walls do look nice on Zoom meetings :) Great spot! 2022: 116/100

    Fried egg sandwich

Got an iced americano and the fried egg sandwich - the bread was delicious and both items came out fast! Seating was also easy and it wasn't loud inside, even when there was a rush.

Good spot to grab a cup of coffee in the heart of LA. Right across from the CNN building and steps away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it's in a great spot. Decent-sized menu with options. There are also pastries and hot foods like breakfast burritos.

Loved the honey lavender matcha and peanut coffee. The drinks were beautifully presented too, so they looked just as good as they tasted. This was one of the closer coffee spot with good reviews that I found near the kbbq place (Seogwan by Yellow Cow Kbbq) my family and I ate at for lunch. It was about 0.5miles (3 mins drive). The coffee shop is super large, bright, and has nice background music. There are plenty of seats for people to hang out or study. There are also street parking but can be difficult to cross the street due to cars driving by so quickly without a pedestrian crosswalk on one side. I ordered their signature drink which was the orange espresso tonic with one extra shot for my husband, and the double mango matcha for myself. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, especially the orange espresso tonic. It was refreshing, clean, and easy to drink. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted like premium, ceremonial matcha since it was stronger and authentic in taste. Overall, both drinks were enjoyable but if I had to choose one, I would go with the orange espresso tonic even though I love mango matcha!

They have copious signature lattes, hot/cold coffee, coffee bags, pastries and friendly baristas. Their interior decor is modern with long maple wood center table and a relaxing atmosphere. I came late morning to grab a Flat white. And it was strong despite its hobbit size--8oz-- appearance albeit good quality. The female barista who wore a pulchritudinous blue checkered, white folded sleeves that almost matched my blue/white striped long-sleeved shirt was assiduous. I could have absconded with her. lol.
