Uuggghhhh, this is usually a four star place for me, although, last night when I went for dinner I presented my "Check-In" offer of a Free Hardshell taco, and never got it. On top of that, our server, which was super nice, but she was just so busy ... i think she waiting on all the tables there last night; which bless her heart, forgot to ever come back for my refill during my meal. Overall, this place is well priced, ladies are great servers, and the breakfast is my favorite. AND i hate breakfast, but their chili-quiles with carnitas or chili verder over them are 100! I don't recall how we found out about Guadalupe's. It's close to home and I'd always heard about their menudo. I've never had the menudo but anything I do order never disappoints. This is a great, small, local Mexican restaurant with friendly staff. I love to order the green chilaquiles with Carnitas and my husband has tried pretty much everything else on the menu. The only thing you need to watch out for is that they close at 8pm so get there early. It's definitely worth it! read more

Been coming here for years. I sincerely hope it's just an off day for them today. We've asked our server for chips & salsa over 5 times to no prevail, had to flag down our server after waiting 10 minutes just to take our drink order, and it's some teenage kid in street clothes walks up and asks if we wanted menus.... I'm pretty sure the majority of people haven't memorized the menu. While they are understaffed today, that shouldn't be the customer's fault. Someone should have been called in to help out. One server, one food runner, and one cook aren't capable of handling a full restaurant. If I hadn't been here before, I would have walked out within the first 5 minutes of being ignored. Just called to see if it is possible to place a phone order with 20 minutes before their closing time. However, I was told that they are closed. I get it, you're near closing time. Maybe your cooks cleaned the kitchen already in hopes of getting out on time after a long day. Whatever it may be, I get it. However, don't lie to people trying to give you business. I called at 7:10am to order for pick up. The guy who answered the phone said they don't take phone orders after 7, and that I would have to order at the restaurant, so I said I would do just that. I sent my husband there. When my husband got there (before 7:30), the guy told him they closed early because of the rain. WTH??? They are not supposed to close until 8pm. And if they were gonna close, he should have told me that over the phone so we wouldn't have wasted our time driving there to pick up dinner for our family! I love this place so much, my family has been coming here for years! The customer service is awesome, as well as the food. My son who is a very picky eater always asks me to come to this restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend the wet chile relleno burrito. Very delicious. The barbacoa plate is delicious as well. This place is my go to for menudo on sundays and just whenever I want to eat out. I can't say anything negative, I've yet to have a negative review. During this time of pandemic these workers have still had smiles on their faces and good spirits! I commend you workers! Came here to try the menudo. I have to say I was disappointed with the lack of flavor and the size of the menudo pieces (there were too big). I know many restaurants buy the menudo pieces pre cut, but they might as well give you a knife to cut them. I have to say, the service was good, the waitress we had was nice and attentive, the place was clean and they had regular clients, which is good, but did not see them ordering the menudo, so maybe their other plates or entrees are the attraction. Do not get enchiladas, tamale or definitely DO not get the Chile relleno!! It's as if they grabbed frozen food ...fried it....and then reheated in their oven !! My review was deleted because it was not "descriptive" enough. Lets be real. I felt passionate enough to take the time to write another review. 1. Food is over cooked or under cooked several times. As several has stated about the rice or beans. 2. Poor management. When you do have a problem with your food the manager does NOTHING about it. Its awesome to sit and watch everyone eat their dinner while you fill up on chips and salsa...yes they will bring you a second basket of chips and CHARGE you for them even if they did mess up your order...no apology, no "comeback and see us again", no sorry you didnt get a chance to eat your dinner, there will be no charge for your meal but here it is to go... 3. The service is not good, they are slow, even when the restaurant is empty. The wait staff blames the kitchen and the kitchen blames the wait staff. If you are lactose intolerant forget it, no one will listen to you or care... We will not be back. read more

Came here tonight for dinner. Food was very delicious! We ordered 3 tacos, fish, shrimp, and potato, all we're delicious! We also tried the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, so good! Only thing I didn't really like was the wine margarita, way to sweet. Hopefully next time it will be better. I'm glad we came to try it out, I'll definitely be back. After recommendations I had received from several friends and co-workers, I finally convinced my husband to stop in today to give this place a whirl. What a regrettable decision, and a total waste of $50.00! I seriously cannot wait to scold everyone on Monday morning!! I'm beginning to think that either people don't like me, or I was punked. Still waiting for Mr. Kutcher to reveal himself and the camera crew! I always say, that you can tell when a Mexican restaurant is going to have some bomb grub, when their salsa is super deliciously addictive. If you put heart and soul into that salsa starter, I imagine that the rest of the food will be amazing! Well, the "salsa" was basically ketchup with onions, cilantro and a bit if heat. So bad. My first taste of the salsa made my heart sink because I already knew that my dish that was being prepared in the kitchen was going to seriously disappoint. And, did it ever. My order: #16 Combo that included one chicken taco, one cheese enchilada, one chile relleno, one pork tamale, and of course, rice and beans. My Review: Everything was ONE color on that plate. The rice off the bat, was stale and swimmimg in the grease from the other items on the plate. Beans were cold and had no flavor. The enchilada was beyond greasy, and the corn tortilla was hard and stale. The tamale was mediocre, and the chile relleno was greasy, greasy, greasy!!! The only half way decent item was the chicken taco. One word to describe this food is GROSS!!!!!! Freaking gross!!!!!! Stale, seemingly old food is what was on my plate. My husband ordered steak picado for $12.99, and got chopped asada with very fine pieces of onions and peppers. When the waitress brought him his plate, I saw the look on his face, and he was very disappointed. The portion of the meat was simply a joke. He had a horchata to go along with his order, and said it was the worst! As we sat through our "meal", all we did was become inspired to one day open our own Mexican restaurant and serve people good, authentic Mexican food. We paid for our food and was bummed that $50.00 went down the drain. Never, ever, again! Customer service was poor. Don't get me wrong, there was a nice, friendly waiter (who didn't wait our table), that kept coming by to chat with us, but our waitress never refilled our drinks. Im sooo over this place. We used to come every friday, before the 4 month remodel closure, for michiladas. They WERE the best. Key word......WERE. now the michis are just red colored beer. Don't dare ask for extra michi sauce.... $3 extra. And the cup they serve it in isn't even big enough to hold 1 beer. The food is a one brown colored hot mess.
