This place makes some of the best menudo and I am by no means a menudo person. You can tell they use quality pieces of tripe and the broth is so flavorful. My other favorite is their machaca. This isn't a can of shredded beef, it's fresh and cooked up with fresh vegetables. The servers here are lovely. Always very considerate. I usually order to go and the food tastes just as good when I get home. If you're getting menudo, be sure to call ahead since they sell out quick! It's that good! read more

Today was our first time here & everything was really good! I had the posole & a sope. The meat is good quality and posole was nice and hot! The best part of our lunch was our waitress "TERRY LOVE" she was smiles the whole time. We've been here several times over the years. They are soooooooooo slow! You have to wait for a menu, wait for your drinks, wait for your food, wait for your check. The food is not even all that. Only their friends get fast service! We went and sat and waited as always. A couple walks in, they were offered a menu, they said no we know what we want. They were served within 10-15 min. We sat there for over 30-40 min for our food. We watched them eat and leave before we got our food. That's is ridiculous!! Who runs a business where you only treat your friends with any respect. And the portions were pretty big, i couldn't finish my meal. My boyfriend ordered their fish tacos. He did enjoy his meal but preferred the fish to be battered rather than breaded. Their fish tacos kind of reminded us of the fish tacos from Wahoo's, so if you like those fish tacos then you will enjoy these. But if you're not a fan of fish tacos then try their hard shell tacos. We fell in love when we first tried them. Overall, we had such a pleasant experience. Because of the heat we were thinking of just ordering the food to go but I'm glad we decided to dine in. My husband has been eating at Guadalupe's since he was in the womb. I was finally able to try this place for my self. We were the first customers first thing in the morning. Our waitress was amazing, super friendly. We kept it simple and ordered guacamole and chips, bean and cheese burritos and chorizo and egg burrito. Their guacamole is legit non of that watered down crap. The tortillas AMAZING, I could probably just eat five tortillas by themselves, extremely fresh. Prices and flavor are great. Today I ordered a lunch special with 1 taco, 1 enchilada, and 1 taquito for $8.99. I'm glad I did because it was very good. If you are around Azusa Ca on Gladstone you need to go here because it's small family owned good food. I'm going to keep going back and try more of the menu. I will finish with telling you about the food.. came for breakfast, got the machaca with house potatoes, and they offered toast instead of tortilla which I never get,, I just eat chips with my meal.. first the toast. Maybe that's why I enjoy egg rolls, spring rolls, tacos, chimichangas, burritos, chips, and sandwiches. Crunchy hard shell beef and chicken tacos are one of my favorite plates because I enjoy the savory shredded beef or chicken, the crunchy hard shell, the cheese and the shredded lettuce. I enjoy the fun of balancing the taco in my hands and tilting my head to take a bite. Next, I love the explosion of the crunchiness and the mixing of flavors and textures. Other wonderful features about Guadalupe's Restaurant include: happy hour from 5-8 pm daily, Taco Tuesdays, and reasonably priced lunch specials from 11am to 2 pm. There are so many choices in this area for Mexican food, but I don't bother with any other place anymore. Every dish I have tried here is delicious. The sauces taste like it took days to cook them to perfection. If you're in a hurry, or on the verge of starvation, it's best to call in your order and pick it up; they are very efficient with to go orders. Dining in is a nice, slow paced experience, time to relax and have a conversation. The salsa and chips are fresh and so good, I usually order some to take home.
