Heard about this hidden gem from the homie and so we had to check it out. The place was nice and clean. Workers there are fast and efficient. This restaurant is like an upscale version of Kabuki and it's way better, but not like Nobu. Vibes feel similiar though. We ordered lots of food. We ordered a Blue-Fin, Salmon, Tuna, Scallop, and Uni Sashimi. We got like three sushi rolls, chili oiled edamame, Karaage Chicken, Glazed Miso Cod with pumpkin sauce, Fried Shrimp Head, and lastly the seafood broil with mini bread. My favorite was the sashimi and the pumpkin glazed cod! The fish was soft and tender, and it just melts in your tongue. The Uni was creamy like butter and a little salty. The flavor profile is all there and unique. Theres wasn't a dish that wasn't bad or fishy. We also ordered Sapporo and Soju to get the day started! Gotta have good drinks with good food. The bill was about $400, but it was totally worth every penny. The food quality and price is fair. For four people we definitely got freakin full. I had to stand up and walk around a bit because I was soo stuffed. People come thru for some bomb sushi!

Came here for lunch today. We came right as 11:00 as soon as they're open do there was no wait. Both, myself and my brother in-law had the Miso cod and my sister had the Hamachi Kama. Miso cod, the fish was very fresh and delicious. The lunch special came with steamed rice, a small salad, preserved bamboo shoots, and tempura. Everything was excellent and just the right amount. The hamachi Kama (fatty, flavorful collar of the yellowtail fish) was grilled and also very delicious, per my sister. I am still full from lunch! Service was great and attentive. Restaurant was full by the time we were done. Will return soon to try other menu items out.

Not pictured, the miso cod bento box that I demolished in 15 minutes. First time here and that lunch bento box did not disappoint! The cod was honestly pretty small so I was apprehensive about the taste, but it was so soft and juicy and flavorful. So good... everything in the "box" was good. The roll was okay. I didn't realize the salmon on top would be seared so was a bit disappointed at that, and the spicy tuna inside was whatever. Get that bento box for lunch!!

We went here for my friends birthday. The whole group got the omakase and I got some appetizers and vegan rolls since I'm vegetarian. We were a little disappointed with the time that everything came out. It took about 2 hours to completely get all the food. And since my friends ordered the omakase I was not given my food until an hour in to match their timing. I had called the server over to ask for my food because I noticed tables that were sat way after us were being given their rolls already and she said it'll be out shortly. I think it came out 30 minutes later. There were only 4 tables seated in the whole restaurant. So I ended up just slowly eating the appetizers for an hour. The server originally told us the whole omakase would take about an hour. It took two. As for the food the tempura was pretty good. It's a huge dish. Not the usually 4 piece tempura at most places. The agedashi tofu wasn't my favorite. It wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. And since I had to wait the hour for my food it got soggy pretty quick. The vegan rolls weren't bad. They were pretty big but didn't have a lot of flavor. Just a few vegetables wrapped in rice. As for the omakase my friend said some of the dishes were as good. I got the Moscow mule and for some reason it was green. It tasted good but the bright green was interesting. The restaurant is pretty empty. There were a few times we were the only people in there. So I think you can get seated easily if you stop by.

Probably the most popular Japanese Restaurant in the Irvine area for the discerning foodies sits smack dab of the busiest open mall on Culver Street is my favorite! It's not my thing to go and eat Raw Fish. My family however desires to eat the freshest raw fish from the best Japanese restaurant at anytime anywhere! Well, we all agree that of all Sushi Restaurants, this one has the best of everything and more. The service staffs are experienced and efficient, the Sushi Chef and Sous Chefs are extremely coordinated and deliver the best creations of the Sashimi, Sushi, Miso Soup and Unagi. You've got to try it. It's simply the best!

Exquisite menu. Fast and friendly service. Restaurant and restroom were clean. The only downside is there were a lot of fruit flies, one flew right onto our Hot Night Roll right before we were about to eat it! They graciously replaced it though, so no worries. Tried: Hot Night Roll, 1 oyster w uni, ikura and caviar, 1 handroll with toro, uni and caviar, lemon pepper salmon sashimi, takoyaki, green tea panna cotta Everything we tried was yummy. The cuts of salmon sashimi were meaty and tender. The uni, ikura and caviar were great. To-go (TBD): salmon teriyaki, yuzu & matcha cheesecakes The matcha panna cotta which was out of this world! The taste of the matcha reminded me of green tea cookies I had at Blowfish in 2007/2008; the perfect balance of matcha, not too bitter and not too sweet, yet it was strong and vibrant. We got the yuzu and green tea cheesecakes to go (TBD) and intend on trying the black sesame creme brûlée next.

Enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner for our son. Called to make a reservation and was seated immediately at the reserved time. The restaurant's main dining room has about 5-6 booths and about a dozen tables. (I would have preferred to sit at a booth but those were all taken... next time I will request a booth when making a reservation). There's a separate sushi bar, as well as a regular bar area and outdoor patio that looks like it would be nice to hang out when the weather is warmer. The food was really good. We ordered four different rolls as well as the Virginia pancake (green onions, scallop, shrimp and langostinos). I really enjoyed the pancake to start and my husband and I both agreed that the Hokkaido Garume roll was our favorite. The birthday boy loved the Spider roll followed by the baked salmon roll. We finished every bite! I let the hostess know we were celebrating my son's birthday and they were very sweet to bring out some green tea ice cream with a candle for him! Looking forward to returning and trying out some of the other menu items.

This is a very nice sushi restaurant. Very clean, spacious, and with a good menu. The dishes are definitely on the pricey side but I think the quality and portions make it worth it. I had the sushi harmony lunch combo. While it doesn't sound like a lot, the pieces of sushi are really fresh and the portions are very large. In fact, the cuts of fish are probably the thickest I've ever had ... And, I think I like it. The big thick pieces really give you a great mouth-feel for the texture of the fish and you can really taste the flavor. My wife had the hoedoepbap. She liked it a lot. I tried and and thought it was just ok. The portion was, again, very generous and the pieces of fish were very nice. But I thought there was too much cabbage and it gave it a little bit of a bitter flavor that I didn't like that much. Still, a very high quality sushi place.

My family and I like this place for sushi and udon. I get their Sushi Omakase at least once a month. I've tried other items from their menu, like the Gurume Omakase (which is only offered for dine-in only) and it wasn't as good as their Sushi Omakase. My kids eat their udon. The noodles are chewy and the broth has a lot of flavor. Most of the time, we order our food to-go, but the service is always great.

Been here a few times and even did takeout once. They serve quality sushi which means they're not cheap but not over priced and the restaurant is beautiful. The servers are extremely nice and helpful.

Came here for lunch today. They have a lot of lunch specials at amazing prices. I ordered the chirashi bowl for $25. It came with plenty of sashimi slices over a generous amount of rice along with a side of miso soup. The quality of the fish is super fresh and cut thick - just how I like it. Be sure to order the Kizami wasabi to go with it. I believe it runs $3.50. Service was good. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive.

Incredible service, very nice outdoor seating area, fresh delicious fish, and amazing prices. I couldn't recommend this spot more if you're looking for good sushi and fish. Our waitress was so friendly and service was super fast. We got the salmon kama meal set that came with tempura veggies, miso, rice, salad, our choice of sashimi, and a massive salmon collar. So much delicious food for only $28. We probably could have just split that for dinner but we got the marathon roll as well and I would highly recommend trying one of their unique, and incredible rolls! Can't wait to come back for more good food and vibes!

I loved: Toro Unagi Bowl…read more Premium Chirashi I really liked: Omakase Bowl Beef Tongue Futomaki I liked: Matcha Cake W/ Matcha Ice Cream Izakaya Osen was a really good time and the Toro Unagi Bowl was easily the standout. The unagi is super flavorful and really puts the whole bowl over the top. I also love that the bowls come with seaweed nori so you can make your own mini hand rolls. The Omakase Bowl was almost as good as the Toro Unagi Bowl and came with both organic seaweed nori and regular seaweed nori, which made it fun to try more variety. Some of the fish had a stronger flavor profile, so it may be a little picky depending on what you like, but overall still great. The Premium Chirashi comes with 16 to 20 different pieces of fish and the quality was excellent across the board. My favorites were the salmon and bluefin tuna. It's definitely good to share with two people. My only slight knock is that the fish was so good that the rice felt a little lacking in comparison. It was still good, but I don't think it quite did the fish justice. The Beef Tongue was thick and chewy in a good way with excellent flavor. It's pretty lean, but has just enough fattiness to make it taste divine. The Futomaki was a large roll that tasted very refreshing and clean. The matcha cake with matcha ice cream was also good, and they were nice enough to give it to us for the birthday we were celebrating. We ordered so much that we had a full bento box of leftovers after, which I was very happy about. Service was pretty standard in a good way. Everyone was helpful but not overly in the way, which I always appreciate. I also liked that they came over to ask us about validation without us having to bring it up. The restaurant itself is very clean and well decorated. It's a great spot for pictures and has a nice atmosphere for a birthday dinner or just a nicer Japanese meal in Irvine. Overall, I'd definitely come back, especially for that Toro Unagi Bowl.

Good customer service is about helping customers (I've ordered there many times before and dined in person as well), especially when there's an issue with your online ordering setup. A small side of spicy mayo should not turn into an unpleasant interaction. The food may be decent, but customer service matters too. There are plenty of sushi restaurants that appreciate their customers and are willing to provide basic courtesy and assistance. Based on this experience, I won't be ordering from here again.
