This store moved recently from a fairly obscure location on Powerline Road, to this new store on Hillsboro Blvd. The same very nice people run it, and they have a lot of great food products. They sell frozen tamales and taquitos, empanadas, and cachapas. They also have Venezuelan arepas, and serve breakfast and lunch. The owners make Venezuelan cheese too, and it's delicious. They also sell a delicious green sauce, Guasacaca, which has parsley, cilantro and garlic as main ingredients. It's like a chimichurri (Argentinian) or pebre (Chilean). Well worth a visit! read more

Went out with a friend and we heard music so we asked if they served drinks and the answer was yes so we told the guy at the front that we would like to try it so without a smile he said "is booked" and dismissed us without looking at us. We loved this hidden gem. The staff is super nice, very welcoming to all. My gf is from Venezuela and really enjoyed the experience here. We also picked out a bunch of candies at the end of our meal. Myself, not knowing the language was very much excepted and welcomed. The staff does speak both English and Spanish and are extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. Known for their cheese here. I am in town for work this week and have been living off cold sandwiches. Well I finally hit my limit and was DYING for a hot meal. I picked this place because it was close to my hotel and it definitely did not disappoint!! The staff was so friendly and let me try all of their juices (I chose passion fruit) while I waited for my order to be ready. The food was still hot when I got back to my hotel and it definitely hit the spot. I got the bean and cheese empanada and the chicken and cheese arepa - both were delicious (especially with the salsa verde!!!!). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! read more

I stopped by for the first time yesterday to pick up some food from here. I was undecided so I ended up ordering a Venezuelan Combo Sampler platter. Carlos was very nice and helped me with my order. This is a great pace to eat a empanada o tequeños also if you feel like eating some good Venezuelan snack, but the food is terrible do not eat the pabellón honestly it was the worst pabellón I've ever have in my life everything was cold and with zero Sazón. I would recommend them to get a different person to prepare their meals that day I spend so much money in there and I get walk out with my stomach empty. Ready to go Latin food, mostly Venezuelan, This little farm fresh store will satisfy you with "tequeños" (better than cheese sticks) delicious empanadas, amazing "cachapas"(sweet corn pancakes-with white cheese of course) and much more. Weird place, they don't offer cakes or pastries and is suppose to be some sort of bakery, no food on display except for some stuff on the freezers that's ready to go on containers and has labels from other companies. I don't believe they make any of that stuff, not even the cachitos, so no freshly made. Be aware that they play around with the prices, if you buy 2 items from the freezer but decided to open one they almost double the price on that one. Very sneaky people, the guy is extremely rude and charges you whatever he feels like even if you said the menu has a set price, he will give you the excuse that you asked for the item to be heated up on the microwave. I do not know of any bakery that will double the price on something because it was cold on a freezer and you asked them to put it on the microwave. Terrible, absolutely terrible service and place. They will charge you whatever they feel like. Also parking is terrible, location is in a bad area and the place is always empty no wonder why. I never seen a bakery that doesn't have fresh items and if you get something from the freezer like a bread ham cachito, and tell them to heat up they will almost double up the price. I went in with big hopes of tasting yummy Venezuelan food and walked out with the worst stomach cramps ever. The arepa I had was terrible. The dough tasted old and the filling tasted off. I would not mind pay their expensive prices if the food was good but I will definitely never go back to this place. read more
