    Pumpkin seed bread
    Alexis P.

Just amazing! Breads: tried the olive bread, baguette, and pumpkin seed-- all were delicious! It's sold at Erewhon for $15.99x Quality bread + cultured butter hits the spot for me. Loved the novelty of purple and yellow swirl (pea flower and turmeric)! Thank you to the guy who worked Monday afternoon because he was so kind in explaining their bread (no preservatives so should be frozen or refrigerated) and took to time to share his fave (pumpkin seed). Great cafe vibes and the pastries, though I've never tried, look delicious!

The pastries here are really great with delicious and unique flavors. I had an earl grey blackberry pastry that was perfectly crispy and not too sweet. I also tried a cardamom caramel latte, which was great!

We first saw the interesting looking breads at Erewhon and were super curious. Reading about the tumeric and pea flower ingredients which is interesting, not just as it affects the color but it's health benefits as well. Used to go to Hot Cakes (in the same space) before so thought we'd go check it out on a Sunday morning... Comfy little space where you can watch them bake through the glass. Friendly and helpful service as there is a lot to choose from and it seemed everyone had questions about the bread Grabbed a loaf of bread, a bagel and a few treats to see what the hype was all about. Everything was good, but nothing stood out. The flavor profile was not any different from other breads we had tried (although prettier). The bagel was too dense which is an unfortunate trend these days. And of course, it's expensive for what it is... Quick tip: If you didn't know, everything there is sourdough

I've never seen bread so vibrant looking. Hasi bread uses whole grains of rye, spelt, Khorasan and a mix of blue pea flower and turmeric root to bake a bright yellow and purple swirl bread. Each slice and section of each bread is an artform. Very natural products which is a great thing and even better to see that LA has upped it's game in the bread making world. We shared a kouign amann and chocolate croissant. I could taste the natural ingredients. In the future, I'll have to try their sourdough and other breads. Overall, great and healthy baked products.

It looks good but with the derive like that I probably won't come back.

This review is leaning more towards the horrendous or lack thereof service. I wasn't even greeted by some young kid with messy hair who obviously didn't want to be there or just woke up. Couldn't even ask me what I want. Worse was when he didn't know how to check me out. And then when I asked if I can get the stuff I purchased, he asked what stuff. He kept it with him.

The highlight of my Saturday was visiting Häsi Bread! I stepped in and of course it was busy, but the line wasn't too long and everyone, the staff and customers alike, were all so personable. It looks like the perfect place to sit and read on a weekend morning or meet with a friend, or even meet new people. The staff answered my questions about the breads and were very helpful. I was offered a few samples of the sweeter breads and I'm so looking forward to coming back and trying different loaves. I ordered the original loaf as it was my first time here and a cappuccino. The coffee was so creamy and delicious, and just as beautifully presented! And the moistness and flavor of the loaves match the presentation of the bread. I've been wanting to check this place out for a while now, as someone who loves making sourdough, it's so cool to get to try artisan bread and appreciate it as an art form, and especially bread as beautiful as the loaves at Häsi bread!

The bread here is tremendous! They have a wonderful variety, their loaves with turmeric and butterfly pea tea are not just visually stunning, but also extremely healthy. Service was wonderful, we have been here a few times and always stocked up on different things, one more delicious than the next! Prices are fair and the quality is well worth it! Great option if you're looking for a high-quality bakery in the area!

My boyfriend and I came here to grab a quick bite before heading to the dog park I'd give it a solid 2.5/3 stars The green apple caramel Matcha really did taste like you were biting into a caramel covered green apple. The orange cocoa cappuccino tasted like one of those wonderful balls. I had a bite of the fig and brie pastry, but I had the portobello pesto flatbread. My boyfriend had the pepperoni flatbed and wheat shared the Spanikopta Overall, flavors are great. The bread is solid, but I think the price puts this at a place. I would not want to come back. We spent almost $80 for all of our items. My boyfriend spent almost $50 buying our two drinks and two pastries and the additional pastries I purchased were around $20. Each item is priced anywhere between 7 to 9 dollars apiece a little to high of a cost to justify a return Although the food was good, it just wasn't feeling enough to be at that price point to warrant a return in our opinion

What a great artisanal bakery in Culver. They have so many different types of head and pastries! The staff are welcoming and efficient. This bakery specializes in the butterfly blue flour flower and tumeric flour. The breads have a mix of blue purple and yellow. So fun to eat!

In running for THE BEST ALMOND CROISSANT in LA! WOW
    Susie D.

First time, blown away by their almond croissant. Second time, super let down by their chai roll. The almond croissant gets an easy 5 stars and I'd give it more if I could. Crispy outside, buttery dough, and the almond butter filling is creamy and dreamy. Meanwhile, the chai roll barely had any flavor and was stiff from sitting out all day. The matcha was ok, a little weak. So I guess it depends on what you get and what time you get the goods that will determine the experience here. But I'll wait for those almond croissants to come out of the oven anytime, that's for sure.

Super friendly. Clean! Decor simple and inviting. Staff welcoming explained to me the breads and gave me samples to taste. They didn't have the mini loaf in the flavor I wanted.... So explained to me that they also sell have of the whole loaf for $8 They are flexible and give options. I was not able to taste their drinks... they were having g a training for the baristas (still new)... so I am going to have to go back. ‍

The chai latte at Hasi Bread? LIFE-CHANGING. I came for the baked goods (which were cute and solid), but that chai stole the whole damn show. Perfectly spiced, not too sweet, and somehow tasted like a warm hug and a mic drop at the same time. Everything else I ordered was good, but the chai was the moment. Get it iced, get it hot--just get it.

Rosemary miso maple espresso latte ($9) non-dairy milk is additional $1
    Nicole D.

Drinks: Rosemary miso maple espresso latte: although the name is long, it doesn't live up to the hype. The drink is lackluster and for $9, I could easily go someplace else and get something better. The flavor lacks all 3 that it mentions, the most I tasted in the drink was maple. Non-dairy milk is additional $1, in which my 12oz coffee was a whopping $10. Tahini cacao mocha espresso latte: also $9, and chalky. It wasn't decadent in cacao, and certainly not worth its price either. We were quite disappointed with our drinks. Bread/pastry: Garlic focaccia: each slice is $10, and it is fantastic. They do bread REALLY well. We made lobster bisque pasta and paired it with their focaccia toasted with some butter and it was to die for. Highly recommend this bread. Chocolate croissant: This pastry was also fantastic, it was roughly ~$6 (can't remember). It is made with their butterfly pea and Turmeric sourdough. I also highly recommend this pastry! Almond croissant: we werent really a big fan. Personally we like flaky & fluffy almond croissants and this was a bit heavy. Ambiance: Be prepared for crowds, it is not a good place to do work or hang around. They have a long community table and a large couch behind it with a coffee table. Parking: Only metered street parking

ORANGE BLOSSOM ALMOND CROISSANT (Crispy twice baked croissant filled with light and silky almond cream studded with bright candied orange pieces, and a smooth, floral orange blossom pastry cream) Flaky, crispy croissant with beautifully floral, full orange blossom flavor! TOFU CLOUD CROISSANT TOAST (Crisp and sweet miso honey butter toasted croissant topped with a cloud-like sweet tofu cream) Crispy, crunchy, deliciously toasted croissant. Such a delight to eat! I regretted not getting a second one! Beautifully done! BLACK SESAME PARISIAN FLAN Not good. Tart was crispy on the outer layers, but underside was soft. The black sesame flavor was there, but it was a muddled flavor, not a clean toasted black sesame flavor. The flan texture was a bit gummy and a bit dense too. I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. Ever since reopening after the pandemic, both the service and food quality seem to have steadily deteriorated. I keep returning out of nostalgia for what it once was, but each visit leaves me more disappointed than the last. On my most recent visit, the service was noticeably dismissive and a bit sassy. The food was equally underwhelming. The Calabrese pizza was excessively greasy, and while I managed to finish the ribeye because I was absolutely famished, it was overcooked and dry, but at only $65 for the bone-in ribeye with fries, I guess I can't really complain. What truly ruined the experience, however, was the pear martini. It arrived garnished with a pear that still had the produce sticker attached. At best, this demonstrates a shocking lack of attention to detail and at worst, it raises concerns about whether the fruit was even properly washed. Seeing that completely killed our appetites. The restaurant removed the drink from the bill after i asked them to, but unfortunately the response felt indifferent, as though no one particularly cared that such an obvious mistake had made. After years of returning Bottega Louie, this visit was likely my last. It's disappointing to watch a once great restaurant decline so noticeably, but unless something changes, I can't imagine returning.
