H Cafe located inside a hotel in Ktown LA, in which the street outside is a pretty busy street. Parking was difficult to find as they only have a few street parking outside while the residental areas have minimal parking spaces. We came here to have brunch on a Saturday morning. There's no queue and we got seated really fast. The way to order is through scanning their menu which was supported by this app called Cheq Out. I hate the ordering process so much. Let me tell you why, because altho Cheq Out is a convenient way to order & pay straight from the app. HOWEVER, the baseline for tipping is 18% and above. There's no selection to change the tipping to for example 15%, depending on how you like the service. We found the service just so-so. Plus, there is a $1 extra charge for using the app!! Unless.. unless, you register for an account BUT you have to link your bank account to your Cheq Out app... it's definitely a no for us. Anyway, Moving to the food... Everything here is mediocre or taste horrible. First, I ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. I am a big fan of brunch & I go to many brunch places so I know which ones to eliminate. H Cafe eggs benedict is one of those terrible ones I've ever tried! The fish tasted so fishy that it left me with a smelly mouth after eating it. And, the muffin that come with it was mushy. And the hollandaise sauce is quite bland. The salad doesnt taste fresh too. So this eggs benedict is a 1/5 for me!! BAD!! Fried Chicken Waffle was okay BUT the portion was so small compared to those in photos on Yelp. The waffle is not crispy and also has the soggy texture. My partner didnt like this as well. For dessert we had the Nutella French Toast. In the menu picture, it looked so good. In reality, it was so DRY and non-appealing at all. Overall this place was a bummer. Before coming here, we were super excited as we always try out about two new restaurants every week. So this was NOT as we expected. I have also asked around from my group of friends who came here to H Cafe. I have them telling me that the food here taste horrible. I'm so sorry but I really hope the owner or manager or this restaurant could help improve the food to match the ratings they have on Yelp. read more

Wow! Great experience here with friends for brunch. Peking was Easley accessible. Super hip layout and amazing atmosphere inside and on the patio. Got some drinks which all were amazing besides the Bloody Mary was way too spicy. Their chicken sandwich is absolute gold! Also the breakfast burrito my wife got was great too. Service was prompt, their app to order systems malfunctioned and somehow the waitress didn't see our drinks on the order only after we said something she was able to pull them up. Came with a group of 3 on a Saturday afternoon. We waited for about 43-mins~. They had a piano in the waiting area so my friends played and I just relaxed around the area. The waiting area had limited seating but what was cool was that they had a yelp waitlist so you can reserve from the comfort of your home and arrive when your table is ready. Service was okay, my friends and I took a while to decide to order but the vibe was enjoyable and the wait staff was patient with us. I ordered the braised hash and it was delicious. It was difficult at first, I came with my mom, who is mature and doesn't do technology. It took a hot MINUTE. They were patient, I gave my mom my phone after I took a pic of the code. I love love love this cafe. Came here on a whim with my partner. Heard the food was good and you get a tour of the hotel upon request. H Cafe is located in Koreatown and parking is provided next door. I found street parking so I dont know if you have to pay. It's a pretty dope setup in the hotel lobby with the restaurant obviously being in plain site. Big glass windows for perfect lighting so customers can take awesome photos of the food. I ordered a fat chicken sandwich recommended by the server and she ordered the eggs and toast. My sammich was heavenly and got better with every bite. I also ordered the buscuits which are made in house from scratch and shocked the heck out of the both of us. They even make their own hot sauce. I almost stole it cause it was so good. The accompanying tater tots were like the ones you can get frozen from the grocery store. Service was pretty good. You order your food and pay on your phone. I went on a Friday for lunch after a friend of mine found this on Yelp. I was a bit surprised to see this cafe in Koreatown. I would have assumed this to be located in DTLA or Midwilshire area, but nope! H Cafe is pretty spacious. I loved the interior and all the decor. Hard to eat actually so please prepare to get messy. Chicken was too salty to my personal taste but with sweet waffle with maple syrup, it balanced out the flavor pretty good. Nutella Stuffed Brioche French Toast had a really nice presentation. Loved the walnuts and all but then again, it was overly sweet. I dont like anything too sweet and that is probably why I didnt enjoy it much like other people who are crazy for sweets. Did like the whole walnuts on them though. Hot Fried Chicken Poutine was good but it tasted like something I probably had elsewhere. Not too special. Chicken pieces were spicy of course and the beer gravy was a good complement but it didnt make me wow. If I had to pick the best dish out of those three, probably the Hot Fried Chicken Poutine. Easy to eat & share and also its the flavor that almost everyone can enjoy. Service was slow. Was there for a couple hours or longer, only came by once to check up on us. I always like to try new places and I am glad I got to try what H Cafe had to offer. One thing for sure, my Boyfriend will LOVE this place a lot more than I do, for sure. I dont exactly know the parking situation because I did see the parking sign in front but I think its only during certain period of time. This was my second time here and I got the same thing twice because it was so delicious. I got the totchos. It has a cheese sauce and the tots were super crispy. It went great with the Buffalo sauce, guacamole and chilis. It really love the atmosphere. I ate outside last time, and it was lovely. This time we ate inside and it was also nice. My husband got the mac and cheese burger and he said it was delicious. Coffee wasn't sweet enough for us lol we aren't use to bitter coffee. Had brunch here this morning with my Hubby. Yelped this place last night, and so glad we decided to try this spot out. It was only 0.4 miles away from our hotel about a 3 minute drive. Parking was jot bad and free. Thank God. I'm tired of paying for parking fees in LA! How do people afford to live in LA?!?! Stayed in LA for less than 24 hours and paid $61 in total for just parking fees alone. Anyhow, sorry for my little rant. H Cafe definitely made an impression. I was super excited to try this place, esp the stuffed French toast but overall my experience was... meh. I joined the Yelp waitlist on a weekday around 12:15pm and it was about a 30 minute wait. I checked in when the app said a table was ready but they didn't have any indoor seats (except for a table for 6) open, so the host said it would be about a 15-20 minute wait. We decided to wait for an indoor table and the host said we were next. There was another party behind us who wanted an indoor table as well and they were told only outside tables were available. Then the host decides to seat them at the table for 6.... He didn't even ask us if we wanted to sit there and seated them even though he said we were next. And the Yelp waitlist said we were next too! We waited 20th mins and finally got seated. The ordering process is all thru your phone which is nice, with the pandemic in mind. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito and Xtra Stuffed Nutella French Toast sampler (Nutella, Oreo and strawberries and cream). I liked that I got to try the different types of French toast. We also got the vanilla almond matcha latte which wasn't really my cup of tea. I ordered a vanilla latte shortly after, which hit the spot. I'd like to say this place is pretty darn good. I invited some friends to hangout and decided this was the place we'd all meet at. Parking is on the corner of Mariposa and eighth street, southeast corner. The restaurant is connected to a boutique hotel that will be opening up shortly. The highlights are the buttermilk brimmed fried chicken sandwich which you can get in white meat or dark meat. I got the dark meat option with mild spiciness to split with a friend and two people got the all white meat with no spice. Both were really savory and flavorful with a side of Swiss cheese spicy slaw and pickles on a hoagie. We all got a side of salad with vinaigrette sauce. Yummy!!! We also got off some sides off the happy hour menu which were enjoyable. My favorites were the old bay onion rings which were super greasy but soo tasty, the fried Brussels Sprouts with just the right amount of salt, the grilled cheese sandwich cut into fours was so awesome along a tiny tomato bisque for dipping and at the end the boring kennebec French fries. Service was good as the server checked back often and refilled my sprit and got us extra napkins. This place is also known to have good breakfast and brunch if your in the area for that. H Cafe is a nice spot located in the edge of ktown. I particularly like this place as it includes free parking (lot) next to the restaurant. It sits below on the first floor of the H Hotel in ktown. Lets start with the decor. Its resemblance is very similar to many brunch spots located all throughout Hollywood. Marble tables, cute plants, silverware, and a fully stocked bar. Food was pretty good as we got the french toast (strawberry) + 2 egg breakfast plate. Eggs were cooked evenly and the sausage was tasty as well. Coffee was just average in my opinion and other places make it a bit better. definitely will be back to try the other dishes and the other coffee selection that they had on their menu. Since this is located very close to where I live I think I will be visiting here quite often. If you are in the area definitely hit the spot up and if possible do a reservation before hand as it can get pretty packed during rush hour. read more

Ambiance is cute (minute a couple of plants that are handing so low everyone is just walking into them) and the furniture and decor inside is so cute. Also it smells amazing in here!
