I got the pork stomach and chicken soup base while my husband got one of the spicy ones and it was very freaking spicy. The assorted meatball was good. Don't get the fish maw, nothing special and doesn't taste real. I liked the mint they gave us at the end. It has different flavors and very interesting flavor for a mint. I would like to go back and get the seafood platter! It looked very good. I was also surprised to see a lot of kids there...I guess they already had a short break even though school started less than 2 months ago. I was glad my kid didn't have that short break. Been coming here since they opened this location. It's much more lively and well decorated than the city of industry location, giving an energetic vibe. It was late and we were hungry but this restaurant unfortunately did not hit the spot for any of us. It's a lovely spacious restaurant with lots of seating located in the open outdoor area of the mall. We had great expectations based on reviews but the wait was miserably long and deceiving on their app. And the broth flavors were just ok and all ingredients were overpriced. Once seated, service was good and they offered us 3 free beverages for the long wait. But our experience with the food was pretty disappointing. read more

As always, there were plenty of snacks and things to nibble on at the sauce bar. The food maintains its quality and sets a classic standard for hot pot. The service is on point as they are helpful while you are trying to navigate your meal. It's different than your local AYCE hot pot place. The service is amazing. I used to come here on special occasions, but the $24.99 Angus fatty beef brisket at Meat O'Clock had way too much fat. The tomato soup base was probably the best part. The sauce bar costs an extra $3.99, and the kids' meal wasn't great--my kids didn't eat it. The dessert was actually nice, maybe because it was light and not easy to eat any other place. I love been to other Haidilao locations and generally I am a fan of the business. I suggested coming to Haidilao Arcadia when my niece wanted something healthy for dinner. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday evening and we were able to be seated immediately. Come early to avoid a wait, because as we were leaving there were hoards of people waiting in the front. Compared to the Irvine location, the interior was huge and it looked more elegant. There were individual pots at each seat, instead of the 4-square spots where we mix and match if we share. I can't find my itemized receipt but I received 83 points from their membership so $83 before tax and tip for 1 miso pot, 1 tomato pot, 2 sauce bars, 1 angus beef, 1 assorted tofu platter, and 1 assorted vegetable platter. Definitely on the pricey side for a hot pot experience, but the quality is there. One thing to call out, they no longer had chicken as an option for slice meats... which was a concern since my niece was looking for a healthy protein. We settled for a lean beef but would have much preferred having chicken. Service was really nice, as is with most Haidilao experiences. We received hair ties, glass cleaners, hand wipes, and an apron. Staff checked on us occasionally and made sure our soup bases and waters were full, all much appreciated. Unless you eat a ton of meat, I'm not sure it's actually worth it -- you'll probably still end up spending around $50 per person at minimum. The sauce bar and dessert bar are $3.99 each per person, but they're pretty much essential since otherwise you won't get any sauces. The sauce selection is good, and the extra sides are decent, though the mashed potatoes lacked flavor. Definitely order the dancing noodles at least once -- it's worth it for the show. Overall, it's your typical high-end hotpot spot. I'm not sure if the wait or price is truly worth it, but I still come here occasionally when I feel like splurging. This is my second time coming here as I've made it a tradition to come for my birthday lunch. The lunch combo deals are pretty decent although I was a bit disappointed to see that the sauce and dessert bar are now an additional $3.99. It used to be included with the combo price, although I think there may have been less snack options? I got the classic combo, and I also noticed that the "mixed vegetable platter" changed and is more basic with just some kale and bok choy which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise the meat and soup quality were good and I liked it. My only issue was finding a tiny fly in my soup. I didn't really feel the need to address it while I was there as I didn't want to cause issues and I'm kinda used to finding tiny flies in my soup that may have come from the vegetables. I guess as they are a restaurant they should thoroughly clean the vegetables but it could've came from elsewhere I guess. I also noticed a fly hovering around the sauce bar in the front. read more

However I'm not a fan of literally everything else being a la carte. Soup base, veggies, and sauce bar is all extra. Ambiance and service were both decent. Would I come back? Eh maybe. They are not the healthiest, so be careful.
