This place is so good.. I recommend any of their milk teas but also their slush!! I find it hard to find a boba place that has good slush because it's either too watery or sweet/syrupy. It was super hot so I decided to try their Peach Yogurt Slush and it was 10/10. I frequent the Half & Half in the City of Industry when I can, but this was my first time at this particular location. This place is part of a little strip of shops on the side of the street, with a huge parking lot in the back. Parking said 3 hours max, but when I went in the evening, there was nobody patrolling the area. I went with my Caramel Milk Tea, 75% sweet, with boba. Just like any other Half & Half spot, the drinks are spot on, however, the boba was much chewier than average, which i'm not a huge fan of. This spot is really small and stuffy, with a couple seats in the front of the store. Restrooms are in the back and you need to get a key from the cashier. Half & Half may be another Boba chain but their drinks and boba do not compare to the many other boba places around LA. Their drinks have their own unique flavors and spin to them. Highly recommend trying out the Honey Boba and/or the Pudding. My boyfriend declared this his new favorite, so we will definitely be back to visit when in LA. This is actually one of my favorite milk tea places to go to whenever I am down in SoCal! For me personally, since I am a NorCal native, I wish they would open one up here so I could go all the time! They also have stamp cards where you can get your 11th drink for free. When you walk in, it's actually quite small. The store itself inside is practically closet-room sized, and the line there may get kind of long/tight as well; especially during lunch/after work hours. My usual go-to when I come here is their Oolong Milk Tea 75% sweet with honey boba. But my all time favorite would definitely have to be their Iced Milk with Boba and Egg Pudding! Compared to all the other boba places that do iced milk, Half & Half does theirs the best and I love it. It's perfectly sweet and their boba is always so warm and chewy that it compliments the drink well. Went here after having dim sum with the family. I don't go here too often, so it was helpful to see their top sellers as well as suggestions from their own employees on what to order. They have a restroom, but in order to get the key, you would have to leave your ID from what I heard the worker tell a customer. I ended up getting a rose milk tea with pudding. I like the aesthetics that the place brings with its wooden bench against the wall, the high table tops inside looking through their store front windows and tables and chairs outside to sit at as well on a nice sunny day. The parking structure is directly connected through the back of the boba shop for easy access though we entered through the front since there was no store sign that I could see indicating their location from the parking structure. Our order didn't take long to come out though and we ended up chilling there while finishing up our drinks. Definitely like the taste of my drink though it was a bit sweet for my liking and I wished the pudding had more flavor. I did like the texture of it though. My brother and mom had shared a mango flavored drink that reminded me of a mango lassi (mango yogurt drink) that you can get at Indian restaurants. I was craving a Boba tea on a Thursday afternoon in April and no lines at 11:20am. Too many choices and picked Jamaica mango, aloe jelly. The cashier was nice and place my order. There were 2 sizes regular and large for .88 cents more so decided on regular. I walked to pick up window and waited. Finally I heard my number and the color is too pretty to drink. I was hesitant to come here in fear of it being overhyped, especially with all the other options nearby. Overall though, I was pretty happy with my choice... Tip: park in the back and come in through the back door. It makes it easier to line up at the cash register and there are menus and employee suggestions posted on the wall. This location is quite small but always busy. The options are a little overwhelming but all in all, I liked that they offer coffee milk teas and their honey boba was sweet and chewy without being too soggy. I would recommend asking for 50% sweetness level, especially if you want the honey boba as I could see it being overly sweet if going with a regular order. I also appreciated that they used crushed ice and don't fill the cup with ice. This does me your drink could get diluted faster but I didn't really taste the difference as my drink was very flavorful. I had somewhat hoped that my almond coffee milk tea would come with almond milk but I think it was just an almond extract or syrup --- oh well for the lactose intolerant. 9 years later and their regular size cups can finally fit into your cup holders lmao I probably haven't been to Half and Half in maybe a year mainly because there's SO many new boba shops opening. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon on a warm October Sunday. We found parking immediately and the line was pretty short, about 5-10 mins (I've waited almost an hour before when they first opened). They have a promotion going on, any drink is a free size upgrade as long as you're present and no phone orders. So if you are buying a drink for someone that's not physically next to you, only your drink will be upgraded. I ordered the iced milk drink with green tea with honey boba. The drink and boba are very good, but the drink wasn't cold enough for me. I believe it's still cash only. They also combine stamp cards. And bags are an extra 10¢. Be prepared for a wait...This location always seems to have an extremely long line and a limited number of seats, making the store feel a bit cramped...definitely feels like more of a grab and go place then a hang out spot. I've been coming here a lot over the years. My favorites are the icy milk drinks, the osmanthus oolong milk tea , and the mango green tea. A lot of the other drinks, such as the Hokkaido milk tea (super sweet, even with the sugar adjusted) and the rose green tea (tasted like a candle) were a miss. So when I come here, I tend to just stick to my usual 3. There sometimes can be a long line due to its popularity (depending on the time you go), but the service is usually pretty quick. I'm usually not in there for too long before my drink comes out. I'm also glad that they changed the cups so that they can fit in the cupholders of your car. It's reasonably priced and good option if you're in the area and need something caffeinated or really sweet. read more

This might be cheating a little bit, given that I didn't actually go to Half and Half to get my drink, but I don't care. Sure, it would have been nice to check out their menu for myself, but having boba delivered definitely beats having to wait in line (thanks friends!). Talk about a super sweet deal! Sadly, so was my drink... Maybe it's because I'm not a boba fanatic, but I'm not sure why Half & Half is insanely popular (or so it seems at least). Then again, maybe I can see why - the Honey Boba and Egg Custard Milk drink I had was so sweet! It wasn't that bad for the first few sips, but I had to stop roughly halfway through. It's a shame too because the consistency of the boba was pretty good, and I liked how the chunk of egg custard they threw in was monstrous in size (I had to use my straw to break it into drinkable pieces). Since I usually opt for plain milk tea drinks rather than these milk-based varieties (which are generally sweeter), perhaps I wouldn't have had the same kind of problem had I tried something else. Plus, I'm sure personal preferences played a big part in it too (high schoolers would love it). My first love.... This location used to be the place where I would run to for boba. I stopped coming here due to their long lines. I decided to stop by here today as I was in the area and surprisingly there was no line. Lucky me! This location has similar menu as other Half and Half locations. I ordered winter melon, lemonade with amber jelly because I didn't want any caffeine in my drink and it tasted the same as other locations I've been to. Thank goodness. Visited Half & Half Tea House for the first time today. Although I was prepared for a wait, I didn't expect the lines to be out the door. Waiting in line with a much younger crowd, I felt a little old, not so 'hip', and a bit out of place. The line to order moved very slowly. But it gave us ample time to study the menu. We ordered a lavender milk tea with lychee jelly, rose milk tea with lychee jelly, and ginger milk tea with honey boba. Our order, surprisingly was ready in less than 10 minutes. The verdict? My favorite drink by far was the ginger milk tea with honey boba. It wasn't too sweet, had a good ginger flavor, and the honey boba was excellent! The lavender milk tea with lychee jelly was also tasty. The lavender flavor was subtle and matched well with lychee jelly. I couldn't drink the rose milk tea because it was way too sweet. Plus the tea flavor was barely discernible. Even though I really enjoyed 2 out of 3 drinks, I don't quite get the hype and long lines. IMHO, the drinks are good but not exceptional. The interior is a little cramped and designed so that you can't see drinks being made. You place your order and pay on one side, and pick up your order through a window on the other side.
