Pretty good food! I came here with my husband for a dinner and had a great experience. The owner was very friendly and continually checked up on us. The food came out very fast and tasted amazing. This a cozy little place for you to try!

I ordered Crawfish on 9/29/24 and went to pick it up. I had an incident a few months back where I had placed an order and went to pick it up and the worker was leaving out the door before 9pm which was the closing time. He told me that they were closed and I told him that I called and had a pick up order. I ended up having to go to Mambos. I was highly disappointed. After many attempts to contact the Manager Kevin I finally got in touch with him to tell him about the issue. He was pretty non chalant and said that his workers would not do that. I had my call log to prove that his worker left early and I had met him at the door when he was locking up. He said that he could only give me 15% off the next time. He said that he would write it on a ticket and put it on the board and when I come in I could tell the worker and get 15% off of my order. I also was given a 15%off card from a previous order that I brought in just in case there was a problem with them finding the ticket. Fast forward- I'm in the restaurant picking up my order. I hand the guy the 15% off card and he tells me that I cannot get the discount on Crawfish. He looked on the card and said that the card said that it can't be used for Crawfish. I told him that he is the one that stapled the card to my receipt from my previous Crawfish order. I read the card and it does not say anywhere that it cant be used for Crawfish. THIS IS A FREAKING CRAWFISH PLACE-CRAWFISH IS IN THE NAME OF THE PLACE. I then tell him to look on the board and I should have a ticket for 15% off. He found the ticket and it had my name on it. It read 15% off and at the bottom it basically said that I was getting the discount due to a previous order mishap. He called the Manager Kevin first and told him what was going on. I'm guessing that he told him that I could not get the 15% off for Crawfish. When he told me that. I said Crawfish is what I order here. The order that I did not receive, due to HIM leaving early was Crawfish. The order that he stapled the coupon to previously was Crawfish. He then called Lisa the owner to tell her. I'm guessing that she told him that I could not get the 15% off. I said none of these specify that I cannot get 15% off of Crawfish. That is what I order and what is the point of offering it due to their screw up of closing early and me not getting my order due to that. I was done at that point. The customer service is always lacking. The Manager, Kevin lied to me about the 15% and it didn't have any stipulations behind it. They need to stop giving out 15% cards if they are not going to honor them. They are charging $9.74/ lb for FROZEN Crawfish with garlic. They are already overcharging. My total was $31.63 and $4.74 discount wasn't going to hurt them but this review will bring out the transparency in Lisa's shady business practices. When you own a restaurant or any business, there are certain things that you should be able to pride yourself upon and several are being honest, fair, and understanding how to keep your customers-CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lisa lacks all. I've given this place chance after chance. I even stopped going for several years due to Lisa raising the price up when Crawfish Chasers, which I'm a member of, was having a meet up there in June of 2016. I'm done with Hank's.

A friend brought these from Houston. The spices are on point. Garlic flavors and very spicy!! The corn and potatoes were seasoned nicely and absorbed the spices. I am not sure if it's too early for crawfish since the crawfish were on the small side. Besides that our bellies were happy.

Idk what's better- the service (shout out to the beautifully vivacious caring magnificent Renee) or the crawfish. Always big/medium (and we all know medium crawfish have the best flavor), sauce is amazing. Like what else can you say?! Hank's is the best in Houston for Crawfish, and after one visit you understand why. 6 pounds for 39.95 is always my favorite deal. We don't even mind paying 7.99/pound because you will always get quality.

When in the south - eat crawfish...at least that's what we hoped for! We love crawfish, but we also love it a certain way. We love it dripping in butter, spice, and full of flavor. We like them big and juicy - with lots of head juice to suck on. With that said - we had different expectations for Hank's Cajun Crawfish. Crawfish was $4.99/lb and we were sure to ask about their special of "Buy five pounds, get one pound free". I was also certain to ask ahead of time if we ordered two pounds at a time, would we still qualify for their special. They said sure, which is a good thing because we like to order our crawfish as we go, no one likes it cold! It's a good thing we only ordered two pounds though since it wasn't quite what we hoped for. It was just boiled crawfish with some garlic and spices, not the style we desired. Hey, it's not their fault. But it still lacked flavor and had us not wanting more. They also charged extra for butter, mayo, etc. (We thought that since it was cooked in a bag, it might be the way we like it. Not quite.) To fill us up, we had an order of Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings, about 10 of them. They were big and oily, and tasted pretty good. (But this place is called Hank's Cajun Crawfish, not Hank's Chicken Wings.) Overall, Hank's Cajun Crawfish was an average experience. Not the kind of crawfish that we love so much, but it might suit your needs if you like it boiled and plain.

I ordered the spicy crawfish in garlic butter sauce and my friend ordered the grilled chicken sub with french fries. The food was piping hot and super delicious. Even though they were slammed, the service was fast, friendly and perfect. In fact, is like this every time I dine here. I love this place. I think they should find a way to either expand their restaurant, or move to a larger one. I definitely wouldn't complain if they moved closer to me. I drive more than thirty minutes to satisfy my craving for their dining experience. If you love seafood and spicy food, this is a must try place.

My sister found a dead roach in her crawfish boil and they would not credit her entire meal at the beginning they only wanted to credit the pound of crawfish. We told them her entire meal should be free. She was given a credit after we told them it was UNACCEPTABLE. She order crawfish mild and I did also which means if the roach was in her bag the roach was in the pot. JUST GROSS. oh and they made me pay for my meal.

Continuation of our #crawfish tour! We dined on a Sunday afternoon. The place had a crowd but wasn't overly packed. We started with the their frozen margaritas (green in color) which were pretty good! I had 2 lbs of crawfish (medium spice at $8.95/lb) with a side of turkey necks as a replacement for the usual sausage, corn and potatoes. The crawfish was good but nothing I was crazy about. Surprisingly the turkey necks were a big hit! The waitress was very attentive but the thing that bothered me was the place wasn't very clean. I'll leave it there..

Best season crawfish. The only complaint is the cook should not leave crawfish in boil to long. Makes them mushy.

Feels good when an establishment takes pride in their customer's feedback and puts a plan into action. Honestly, part of me was hoping that last time was just a fluke or an off day. This time around, everything from the service to the food was great. We had a 12:30 Sunday reservation for two and opted to sit inside this time. We ordered the cast-iron cornbread, chargrilled oysters, and a cup of gumbo each to start. For entrées, I had the Gulf Fish, while my husband went with the crawfish Florentine. Everything came out beautifully timed, almost like a perfectly paced three-course meal, which obviously made the whole experience feel elevated and relaxed. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. I also tried the prickly pear aid (non-alcoholic), and it was super refreshing, definitely worth ordering if you like a little tartness to cleanse your palate. Overall, this visit felt like a completely different experience than last time. It delivered the elevated experience a place like Eunice promises and what I was used to originally. Looking forward to celebrating my birthday here in June!

Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing due to both the service and the food quality. Our server was very slow throughout the evening. After ordering cocktails, it took approximately 20 minutes for them to arrive. We then ordered our meals... I had the burger and fries, while my girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were noticeably over salted. After finishing our meals, we waited an additional 15-20 minutes just to receive a dessert menu. Eventually, we decided not to wait any longer and went to Dessert Gallery down the street instead. While the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant were excellent, the slow service and food issues negatively impacted the experience. Based on this visit, I would likely not return.

When we arrived, the host let us choose where we wanted to sit. I originally spotted a cozy booth by the window, but since we were asked if we'd like to sit where we could watch the TV during the Cup match, we opted for one of the high-top tables instead. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake because there isn't any lighting at the high tables. We could barely see our food. Adding pendant or drop-down lighting above those tables would make a huge difference. If you plan to visit, I'd recommend requesting a regular table or booth for better lighting. The menu is definitely unique, though I found it somewhat limited compared to other seafood restaurants. To start, I ordered the roasted oysters while my friend had a dozen raw oysters with all the traditional fixings. The roasted oysters were delicious, but there was so much topping that it almost took the shine away from the oysters themselves. Next time, I'd ask for lighter toppings and no scallions. For my entrée, I had the Halfshell Grilled Redfish. The fish itself was cooked beautifully--moist, flaky, and perfectly prepared. The only downside was the chermoula, which leaned far too heavily on the citrus. The lemon flavor completely overpowered the fish. As my side, I ordered the Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. Unfortunately, it had a distinct burnt taste, which made it seem like the roux had been overcooked. A good gumbo should have a deep, rich flavor, but this one was overshadowed by that burnt note. My friend ordered the Jerk Fish Collars, and we both agreed they would have been much better if the fish had been marinated to allow the jerk seasoning to really penetrate. I also ordered a Lemon Drop Martini, and I have to admit I was surprised when it arrived in such a tiny martini glass, especially considering the price. Overall, the quality of the seafood is evident, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. I think a few adjustments to the lighting, better balance in some of the flavors, and more attention to details like the gumbo and cocktail portions would elevate the experience even further. I'd definitely return to try more of the menu and hope for a more polished experience next time.

Just before closing, we had the place to ourselves and got to shoot the S with the owner who gave us its very cool history. 38 years in, and a few miles on his ledger, Marty still cranks out some fabulous food! The place was like walking into the 50's, with the old school metal tables and ample linoleum. I LOVE Louisiana cooking, and it couldn't have been more authentic. The only problem I had with my shrimp gumbo is the bowl was too small (actually a filling portion) and loaded with succulent, tender shrimp. Yummmmm! The cornbread was sublime and dipping it in the gumbo was killer! John had a Po Boy and said it was heavenly. The fries were obviously fresh cut and perfect. We finished with the bread pudding as we are both connoisseurs, and boy did it not disappoint. Thank You for yet another 5 star experience and a return visit will be on the horizon! Cheers, JimG

The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.
